Chapter 1: Arriving in Darkville?
It felt so real, the Imaginators gave me a mission and they sent me through a portal that had a white and red painted gold frame surrounding a sinister black energy swirl in the middle of it, I jumped in and it felt like I was fallling for hours. The tunnel opened in the sky and I was heading straight towards the ground.
I reacted fast enough and used my magic to slow my descent and I plopped down in the middle of a grassland area and when I looked around, it seemed this place is not what I expected it to be considering the Imaginators said it was Equestria, a magical place filled with ponies. However, it felt wierd, which is concerning to say the least, the sky was black and red, plus dead silence in the air. Its more of a corrupted world in retrospect of things. So I check the map of the Equestria the Imaginators gave me and try to locate Ponyville and hopefully find something.
I walked a couple of miles from where I was and found a little town in the middle of nowhere, it looked fimiliar to me, but it didn't seem right, I saw a red and black sign that said, 'Welcome to Darkville, home of the enslaved ponies and human ponies alike, enjoy your stay.’ It stunned me when it read ‘Ponies and Human Ponies,’ and it hit me straight in the face.
Wait a minute, ponies, like from ponyville and human ponies from Canterlot High? This thought had no explanation, so I walked into Darkville to find answers.
As I was walking around the town, the Gem of Imagination, courtesy of the creators, is a magical gemstome capable of creating anything that you think of. This gem holds unimaginable power, if I were to guess how much power this thing had, I would say the complete destruction of the entire universe with one snap of a finger, thankfully I made a nullifier so I can only use it in dire situations or simple requests and plus no evil commands can be used when stolen or from me specifically. (Back to reality) The gem lit up like a christmas tree, and it spawned in a small jar with a peice of paper inside it that has writing on it, I opened up the bottle and unwrapped the paper and read it to see what is going on here.
‘Two worlds, become one. Evil has risen up and raged against their enemies.’ That confused me even more, but what shocked me was that the houses and everything else looked menacing: red and black paint jobs on houses and other buildings, spikes on top of houses, and a freaking Cerberus guarding the whole complex, What is Cerberus doing out here, isn't he supposed to be guarding Tartarus. What is going on? I managed to sneak around a back alley to not be seen by the Cerberus.
After I looked around for a little while longer, something caught my attention to my left, I thought I was seeing things, but I wasn't, a changeling guard came out of nowhere and walked up to me and yelled. “Hey human, you can’t be here. Get out of here!”
As he said that, he got into his battle stance ready to fight me with everything, my instincts kicked in and I got into my fighting stance, and as most of the ponies were watching, me and the changeling started fighting.
Clearly the changeling guard had something planned to gain the advantage, but I wasn't go to let him beat me. As the changeling charged at me, I grabbed him by the hoof and threw him over my head with an exploder suplex. The changeling was furious and flew upwards and dove straight down towards me, but like a stubborn fool, I caught him into a nasty clothesline that sended the changeling flying inside out. My skills were overpowering the changeling guard, it was my training from a time when I took Karate classes and Tae Kwon Do classes that helped me in a fight. My strategy was to take the impact or change the trajectory of the movement of my opponent and counter into my own moves.
Considering the changeling was out of breath, he called on for back up and when I turned around, I saw three other ponies transforming into changelings and rushed at me, however their efforts came to a sudden turn of horror when I kept on dodging and countering with punches and kicks that they couldn't comprehend. "HAAA!!" I gave a uppercut to the second to last changeling and send it flying towards the another changeling. Then when all said and done, I rushed at the last changeling and I finished it off with my finishing moves, the Stardust Breaker (Suplex into a sit-out piledriver) and the Psycho Driver.
The changeling guard was really embarrassed to tell Queen Chrysalis about my appearance in this world, "Don't you worry, Queen Chrysalis will get you, I promise that," said the changeling in disgust.
I prefer not to make the enemy mad, but I was fighting for the ponies and human ponies, so why not piss them off, (Sorry for the language here), I responded, "Go right ahead, I'll be waiting to see her face in disgrace."
The four changelings flew away and everypony around me cheered for my success (Cheers) and one of the ponies came up to me and asked, "Who are you?"
I answered her question, "My name is Brian Oliver, the wielder of the Gem of Imagination. I'm here to help."
After that intense fight, a brown pony named Money Honey handed me a envelope and it was written to me, but it had crossed out the address and name of the pony who sent it to me, I opened the envelope and read the letter that was inside, 'Dear Newcomer, I happily invite you to Twilight Sparkle’s castle so we can have a little chat, please come immediately, Sincerely Twivy.'
I was a little bit confused with the name Twivy, “Who is this Twivy?” I asked the ponies,
One of the ponies responded, “She’s been at Twilight’s castle for quite some time now, but she can only help us in secret.”
I guess this Twivy must be friends with Twilight or something, hopefully she can help me find them. “Thank you everypony, be careful all right,” They all nodded their heads and went on with their daily lives and being careful not to say anything about my arrival while I walked towards Twilight Sparkle’s castle to get some information from this Twivy.
Of course when I got to the entrance, it was guarded by two massive beasts, I don't know how to describe them, so I ignored doing so, I looked up to find an entrance and luckily I saw a open window on the top floor. I activated stealth mode with the gem and jumped about 25 feet into the air and grabbed the edge of the window and pulled myself up. I realized that it was really dark and dusty, so I summoned a light that floated to my left so I can see more easily. I went from room to room trying to call out for Twivy, but I got no answer until I got to the cutie map room and called out, “Hey Twivy! You in here!”
I got a response from somewhere in the room, “Somepony there?! Help!” I casted the light to each side of the room until I slowly moved it upwards to the ceiling and saw a pony trapped in a cage. ”Help!!!” The pony screamed.
It was probably Twivy in that cage, “Hold on! I’m going to get you down, I promise!” I summoned a key that should fit perfectly into the keyhole and I jumped up onto the cage and put the key in the lock, “Can you at least glide down or use anything to break your fall?”
The pony responded, “Yes.”
I opened up the cage to let her out and I jumped down onto the floor and looked up to find her gliding down safely towards the ground with her wings. I asked, “What happened here-?” I stopped to look at her and she looked very similar to Twilight Sparkle, she had a lighter shade of purple for her coat, crimson purple snake eyes with a light green sclera, and a black, purple, and green mane, same as the tail with her cutie mark much like Twilights, but with the center star being green and the outer smaller ones being black. “Wait? Aren’t you Twivine Sparkle!?”
She said “Yes, Yes I am.”
Well that stumped me for a loop, but back to the task at hand, “Where are the girls Twivine?”
She sighed and said, “They’re here in this very castle, now guarded by Storm King’s men.”
And what she said had confused me even more. “Are you sure they’re here?”
“Yes” she responds,
I had an idea, but it didn't come to me, “The only place that they could be is the---” until an idea burst out of my mouth. “The library!!! We got to get there now!” Twivine and I ran to the library to save the girls before it’s too late.
