I stepped through the portal and stared shocked at the two huge dragons sitting on a throne. One was a very dark grey and the other was a very vibrant red. They hadn't noticed me but I looked around and saw 5 other dragons.
One was a very dark blue, another was a very nice green and there were two completely white dragons. Then there was another light grey Dragon. After a second I could hear what they were saying. The big blue dragon said "My queen there have been dragons in the ocean kingdom dying and disappearing.
The Humans are getting stronger, what do you want us to do?" the green Dragon spoke up too he said "Yes, my Queen there are only 238 of us forest dragons left. They have weapons and armor they enable them to get past our poison." I looked around afraid.
The queen stood up to her full night and said "I believe that we will have to go into hiding, make them believe that they have killed us off. We must make them believe they have killed us off. Tonight each of you must choose. I know, we still have years and years left to serve but we need to choose now.
I and Your king have already chosen. The fate of these children, whenever they may be born, will be great. Now choose the one that will take over until the new queen and king arrive and when they do these dragons you choose need to be ready to support the new Queen and King.
" they all nodded and the blue dragon spoke up she said, "My queen, does this mean that whenever we choose we must set it up so that the people kill us off and believe that there are no more of that species?"
The Queen looked at the blue dragon sadly and said, "Yes, My most trusted dragons, yes, you will have to give your lives so we can save all of the dragons." When she said that all the dragons bent there heads low.
I noticed the white dragons look at each other sinisterly. Everything was silent and you could hear a pin drop. They all nodded their heads and the queen and king bowed their heads.
Just then from behind two doors swung open and two teenagers about my age sprinted in. The girl was crying. They came up to the queen and king and the girl went to the queen and hugged her neck. She said the most chilling words "They, They're coming!"Everything went black.
I slowly opened my eyes. I was in a bed. I snuggled into something warm and it moved. Wait... Do pillows move? I opened my eyes and sat up. Blueblood was sleeping next to me. When I sat up he opened his eyes and sat up too.
Once he saw who I was he widened his eyes and said "You're awake! Oh my gosh, you freaked me out! I thought you were in a coma." I really wasn't paying attention because my head was being probed by hundreds of different links. I calmed myself and blocked some of them but after a minute I looked around and found an outfit.
And pulled it on. I could hear a distant voice. I stopped and looked back and cleared my head. Blueblood said, "Are you okay?" I shook my head and he got up. He was already dressed.
We linked hands and he walked me out of the room. He walked me to a huge cavern. I saw only a few dragons but it only took one. It was a small Dragon. But it was beautiful. It ran up to me and it rubbed its head on my stomach and tapped its tail to my head.
I realised it wanted to talk. I opened the link and a tiny voice said "My Queen? Are you alright? You've been asleep for a few days..." I bent down and said to the Dragon child "I am fine baby. I was just tired." She nodded her tiny head and she flew off probably towards her mother.
Just then I saw a flash of red "LILY! DON'T EVER DO THAT AGAIN!" all of the sudden wings engulfed me and I was lying on the ground. I looked up at my dragons ever growing huge face. She licked me from my toes to my head.
I yelled "Ew gross Aradace whyyyyy!" She chuckled and it sounded like a huge rumbling purr. I laughed and after a moment Aradace let me up. Unintentionally Aradace had rilled up pretty much every forest Dragon. The all stood there waiting. Happy to see the two queens.
I opened all the links and said "Hello, I am. Who is the one that will be helping me. As the Dragon Queen has asked?" All the dragons bowed and one stood and walked forward. It was younger than the queen but definitely not too young to not be wise. I stood to my full height and the Dragon bowed his head.
He said "Hello I am Moth, I have been waiting for you ever since my choosing. They told me what I had to do and what was to happen a few nights from my choosing. The forest dragons were the first to "Die off"." I nodded. Those dragons were great dragons and we shall always remember them.
Moth nodded. I asked "How long has it been since you all have seen the forest and the daylight?" a lot of the dragons looked away from my gaze and other dragons looked down sadly. The Dragon said "Only I have seen the forest and the sunlight because those were my orders."
I stared at him. I said "Moth the only kingdoms around in this country now is my kingdom and Blueblood. You can go out now. You will be safe.
My Father and mother conquered all of the kingdoms around here and Blueblood conquered all the kingdom's on the other side. This country is Dragon Blueblood.
That's what my father always called it. Your safe I give you my word." Moth smiled a toothy grin and he flew to the mouth of the cave.
He flew out after a second and everyone looked at me. I said "EVERY ONE! Fly out of the cave. Its time." every one jumped to the cave entrance and flew out. Not one Dragon was left.
I took Blueblood hand and we ran outside to see all the dragons flying around the trees. I smiled and turned in a slow circle looking at all the dragons. Some mothers were holding there babies out to teach them to fly. Some were showing there kids how to hunt.
Moth was standing almost hidden watching everyone on high alert. I knew why. It was his job. He was the protector and I was the one bearing the news that dragons were safe.
I smiled and linked Herik I said "Come to me with Bale." after a moment a dragons and a person flew towards me. They landed and bake got off he had the biggest smile on his face. He said "This is the best day of my life.
After my parents left me out here saying I needed to find something and finding Herik I knew I belonged here but I never knew that the dragons would be able to fly free not confined to some cave. Thank you so much, Lily. Thank you." I smiled and hugged him. He squeezed me and we separated.
I grabbed Blueblood hand and I said to Bale "Are there any other Dragon riders?" he nodded slowly and whispered one number "5." I smiled and clapped my hands fast I said "where are they."
Bale smiled at me and he said "They like to stay together there are three girls and two boys.
" he stepped back and called there names "Nico, Zane, Amber, Jax, Nico, and Caspian! Come here!" after five long minutes five kids all different sizes flew forward. The biggest Dragon caught my eye.
It was a beautiful emerald. They all landed and there were two older teenagers and the rest seemed to be younger than 13 years old. I smiled at them and asked "Which one of you is Caspian? Who is Jax, who is Zane and Amber?" the oldest raised his hand and said, "I am Caspian, my Queen." I smiled as He got down on one knee.
I smiled and said "rise up and tell me how old you are?" he stood up and smiled he said "I am 19 my Queen." I smiled I looked to the next boy and he looked a little embarrassed I said "Hello, you must be Jax. How old are you Jax?
Instead of him saying anything the Dragon spoke, he said "My queen, Jax is mute but he is 15 My name is Lightning. Light for short." I nodded and took a step forward I knelt and said "Jax you are all the more special to me.
" he smiled I stood back up and looked at the other girls. The oldest of them said "I am Amber my Queen and I am 16 my Dragon is named Blaze he has a back for setting things on fire." I nodded and said "Its always good to know I have a friend that's the same age as me.
They all said "What? I thought you were 18!" I laughed and said "Oh no, I am 16 my birthday was a couple of months ago. I looked at Blueblood and pouted I said, "Am I really that old looking?" Blueblood laughed and stepped forward and kissed my nose he said, "Of course not."
I smiled and turned back I knelt down to the other girls and said "Now you two. I can already foresee you two being a little trouble so names?" I smiled and laughed.
The older of The two said "I am Zane and I am 10 my Dragon is named Oak she is the only forest Dragon to be a brownish color."
I nodded and turned to the youngest I said "What's your name sweetheart?" she looked at me and then to Caspian. Caspian gave her a nod and she said "I am Nico and I am 4 my Dragon is named Orchid we found her in a field of orchids before we brought her here to be safe.
" the Dragon behind her was the Dragon that I first talked to in the cave. I said to her "You my Dragon child are the youngest Dragon with a rider I know. You take good care of Nico." she nodded her head and stood more proudly.
I laughed and picked Nico up. I bopped her on the nose and said "I think I'll keep you." she laughed and said "Like my mommy used to before she left?" I stopped and said "Yes. Like your mommy."
I looked to Caspian and he mouthed I'll tell you later. I nodded and Nico got comfortable. I stood in from of them and said "Now Amber and Caspian. I know you guys have never left this place in guessing.
I need to go back to my father and tell him about this. Now. About that I need you guys to come with me. On your dragons. You'll be safe Blueblood is coming with us and Aradace is obviously coming too."
I stopped and looked towards the kids Jax looked excited and his Dragon did too.
Caspian was nodding his head and Amber was smiling along with Zane. I said "So, will you come with me?" Caspian said "I would love to come with you my Queen."
I nodded and Everyone else nodded and said "Yes my queen." I nodded and smiled I said well we leave in a couple of weeks so you guys can prepare and I'll have enough time to...Find something that is lost."
Caspian nodded slowly. Everyone else jumped on there dragons and happily flew off. I set Nico on her Dragon and she flew off towards the cave.
I turned to Caspian and he said "I want to come with you to find the water dragons. The Dragon I was with isn't mine.
He was my father's. I believe that my Dragon is in the waters. Water was always so fascinating to me. My queen." he bowed his head." I touched his shoulder and he looked up I said "Yes of course you can.
I need Blueblood to stay here to learn more about the forest dragons. We have w weeks to find them let's go.
I looked at Blueblood and he nodded. I smiled and pecked him on the lips before following Caspian. I stopped at the cave and got out agree blue bubbles. There was a not saying I left you five of these. They let You breathe underwater.
Be careful if you drink anything you'll loose the affect. Work for however long you need them. Ah I love Metin she is so great! I grabbed them and Aradace was already there so I jumped up on her with a little bit more difficulty that I though and almost fell off Aradace had to help me with her head.
She said "I'll need a latter the next time you get on. Hahaha." I said "Very funny, now let's go I bet Caspian is already there." we flew through the trees till we saw sand and eventually the sea.
We landed and I jumped down. I laughed first and then walked over to Caspian Who was looking in the water. I gave him a blue and told him the effects before I said "Don't drink anything or it will wear off.
" Aradace was listening so I just gave her it. She swallowed it and after a minute she dove into the water and went under. She spent some time down under before she came back up. She said "I can definitely breathe underwater now.
" I nodded and not into my bubble. After a minute I walked into the water and sank down. After eating the bubble it kind of made my clothes water proof. I was so cool. I took a deep breathe and noticed I could in fact breathe like the water was air.
I saw Caspian bite his after a moment he dove in and swam around. He looked at me and said "This is so cool" I was a little startled you could hear people talk underwater.
Underwater I though back to what bale had said about water dragons he had also said that when a person is bound to a water Dragon they get the ability to not only breathe underwater they can talk too. That's cool. I nodded and said lets swim down.
Aradace clapped her wings like a propeller and we grabbed her tail and we were shot of down into the depths of the ocean. Once in a while we saw a shark and we saw tons of fish everywhere.
I looked around in awe. After a little while we came to a stop and looked around we had been selling for a good part of an hour and it was pretty dark. We decided to find a place and rest. 1
We have been looking for 6 days now and finally, I looked around and saw some coral. I let go of Aradace's tail and swim towards it. It was a light blue and seemed to glow. I swam towards it and when I got there it seemed to be growing in the entrance of the cave.
After a minute I called to Aradace and Caspian "I think this is it!" I swam in and deeper into the cave. It was like a huge tunnel. I smiled and when I reached the entrance to a gigantic underwater cave I fell through. The water seemed to have just ended.
It was like glass was holding it back. I fell through into soft sand. I find even drop. I was waterproof in A way. I looked up and into the eyes of a huge water Dragon. I stood and let my power radiate off me.
I opened the link with the dragon and said "do not fear me I am your queen and I just needed to find you." the Dragon immediately knelt down lower to the ground and I could see more dragons do that too. I said out loud "I have come to ask for the Dragon who was chosen.
One Dragon stood and walked my way. She said "I am Coral and I have been chosen by a great sea Dragon to help guide you through your life as queen.
I nodded and she bowed her head to me. Walked a little and turned back to see Aradace and Caspian fall through. Caspian looked up and fought corals eyes. They both stood hypnotized by each other.
Then when Caspian stood he said "Hello, my name is Caspian and you seem to Be my Dragon. What is your name?" Coral got excited and said "My name is Coral." I've always wanted a Dragon rider!"
Caspian smiled widely and ran to his Dragon and hugged her long neck. She was beautiful and it prided me to see a bond between two new Dragon Riders. I smiled and looked to coral.
I asked are there more Dragon riders?" she nodded and called "Nahla (Nala) come over here!" a girl that seemed to be as old as Caspian came over on the back of a dark blue water Dragon. She had long dark hair and she was very tall.
I stepped forward once she jumped down from her dragons back. I said "Hello Nahla, I am Haven, how old are you?" Nahla smiled and said "I am 17 years old. My Dragon is named Aqua."
I smiled and nodded. I looked around and touched one of the dragons. They looked very dull. I looked at coral "When was the last time everyone swam in the open?" Coral shook her head and said Only I've been out.
It was my order to keep everyone confined. Safe." I nodded and said the same thing I told Moth. I told Coral about the kingdom's and how it was safe at last I said, "Everyone, Go, swim its time to get out of this cave!"
everyone roared with joy and ran to the water. The swam through the opening. I waited for all the dragons to go and then me and Aradace and Caspian and coral followed. We swam through the tunnel to find that everyone was swimming around in awe and in joy.
I and Aradace led everyone to the surface. Where me and Aradace took off into the air. I saw some I the water dragons swim under is to shore. We all stopped at the beach and Aradace went to go get some of the others.
I still notice that the dragons stayed out and never went to the cave. Some of the water dragons were in the beach looking at the forest. I nodded at them encouragingly and then stepped up to the forest and looked around.
I saw some of the green dragons high in the sky flying in circles. I smiled and after a minute of waiting Kain and Aradace, and Briggen all came into the beach staring in awe at the blue water dragons. Some being a soft blue-green. I smiled and went over and hugged Kain. He smiled and said "You did it." I thought to myself. +
