Kate examined the snake bite found on Crimson's neck along with the pale skin and seaweed, it was quite common to see a snake bite appear on his neck. The computer did a side by side comparison of the bite marks and it scanning possible snakes capable of this fatal bite. Kassidy put on her leather jacket, walking over to Kate who was watching the screen for a possible match. She could see some tension building in Kate showed a little bit of fear but not enough to cause worry.
"You really want to find who did this don't you?" Kassidy asked.
"I will find out who did this" Kate answered coldly.
Kassidy patted her on the back and walked out of the base, as soon as she left a snake attacked Kate but she caught it with one hand and caused it to disintegrate. Genevieve came out of the shadows slow clapping at the impressive display she just witnessed.
"I must say Katelyn, I am simply captivated by how your reflexes are. Most people would let a snake's venom enter their system but your different" Genevieve started.
"It was you!" Kate bellowed, with anger in her eyes.
Genevieve let out a small chuckle before continuing her point, "You think you can harness siren power by using an electromagnetic pulses to control anyone that uses it's power. Sorry to say honey but there is more to that than mind control, it can also be used as a way to cause destruction" she continued.
Her purple gemstone glowed bright as her hair began to change into snakes, her lower body changed into a snake like body as she transformed into a lamia. Kate's eyes widen at what she was seeing, Genevieve swiped his tail at Kate but she moved out of the way and teleported outside. This gave her a chance to at least catch her breath, time to contemplate that lamia transformation by Genevieve. Looking up, Adagio kicked her in the face, causing her to fall on her back and left her head up to see a shadow version of Adagio looking down at Kate and smirking insanely.
"Adagio..." Kate managed to say.
Adagio grabbed her by her collar, "I have been wanting to do this for a while and now I can" she proclaimed.
A ball of sound energy formed in Adagio's hand before she was able to use it, a symbiote short sword pierced through Adagio's heart that caused her to drop Kate and fall to the ground.
"Sorry I was late" Kassidy joked, putting her short sword away.
"Cut the jokes Kassidy, I am grateful you came and disposed of that traitor Adagio Dazzle" Kate said, standing up with little trouble.
"What's going on?" Kassidy asked worried.
"Some lamia siren named Genevieve almost took my head off with a snake attack, at least that was until she transformed into a lamia I just explained earlier" Kate responded.
"Holy shit" Kassidy said.
"I would agree with that statement" Kate said.
"So do we go after her or ask for outside help from the heroes?" Kassidy asked, contemplating their options.
"I hate to say it but we might need to ask for help from those heroes" Kate said, shuttering at the fact that she has to ask for outside help.
"You may not like it but it might be our best option" Kassidy reassured her.
"I know" Kate snarled.
Genevieve used her corruption cosmic energy to completely change Kate's base into a place where snakes roamed around, in the back behind Aria was some kind of chamber full of rattlesnakes with a deadly bite.
"Oh don't worry about those, I use those in order to mind control them to make sure they do not defy me" Genevieve said smirking at Aria.
Aria felt a little unconformable with Jenna's constant advances to conquer the world, even though that was the goal of this whole thing. She couldn't help but feel something is coming and fast approaching and time was running out.
"Hey Genevieve do you mind if I go outside for some air?" Aria asked.
"Of course dear" Genevieve responded smiling.
Aria left and ran away from that horrible place and realized her mistake, leaving there was the smartest decision she made. The city of Metropolis was a place Aria could lay low at least until this problem with Genevieve blew over. She pulled her hood over her head to conceal her identity and blended in with a crowd of people walking the streets and doing their normal business.
I hope no one finds me Aria thought to herself.
Rarity turned off the water of her shower and got out, wrapping a towel around her chest to conceal her breasts. She put her hair in a messy bun to keep it upright, that's when she noticed a white streak across one of her hair strands.
What in the world is this? Rarity picked at it.
All of a sudden a shadow version of the fashionista showed itself in the mirror smirking devilishly.
"Who are you?" Rarity asked.
"Isn't it obvious darling? I'm you when you defeated Nightmare Moon and your DNA became a part of us" the figure said.
"Wait...your that Nightmare that formed me" Rarity said, putting the pieces together.
"Yes" Nightmare said smirking.
"Leave me and my friends alone" Rarity said as she left the bathroom and into her own room.
The nightmare harboring Rarity's body smirked evilly at her plan taking effect.
Outside the door, Kassidy and Kate stood there, staring into the video camera until Twilight walked outside and shut the door behind her after noticing those two right away.
"What are you two criminals doing here?" Twilight growled, crossing her arms.
"I know we are the last people you wanted to see but this lamia siren named Genevieve basically murdered Crimson and almost killed Kate and we need some help" Kassidy explained.
Twilight raised a single eyebrow then looked at Kate and Kassidy.
"You don't need to trust us you idiotic cunt, all we need is help then we will make our leave" Kate said spiteful.
One of Twilight's eye twitched but she calmed herself down and let them both in, where the rest of the Power Heroes stood there arms crossed.
"Oh goodie the welcoming committee" Kate sarcastically said.
"Understood that we're keeping an eye on you and your little cunt friend too" Dash said, pointing at Kassidy.
All Kassidy did was stare a hole into Rainbow's soul and said nothing.
"Now that we have the peanut gallery out of the way, Twilight do you have a lab?" Kate asked.
"The observation deck is where I conduct most of my experiments" Twilight responded sternly.
The both hopped on the elevator and headed up to the observation deck where her mech suit was visible and a picture of a possible sighting of Midnight Sparkle which sparked Kate's interest.
"If I may ask, who is that?" Kate asked curiously.
"None of your business Taiga" Twilight snarled at Kate.
Kate narrowed her eyes at Twilight for that rather rude response to her important question. They both sat down and she activated a hologram of Metropolis which showed hotspots everywhere.
"So tell me about that lamia Genevieve" Twilight said, getting straight to the point.
"That snake killed Crimson and took his powers then went after me. Adagio attempted to kill me but Kassidy took her rather quickly, me and Kassidy weighed our options and came to you and your band of do gooders" Kate explained.
"Which brought us here" Twilight intervened.
"Precisely" Kate said.
Both of them took turns exchanged tactics in order to combat this lamia. Once both of them returned downstairs to the dock area, Applejack along with the others laid on the ground like there was some kind of attack, but Rarity was the only one missing and her purple bracelets were on the floor. Twilight picked them up while Kate helped everyone up from whatever or whoever attacked all of them.
"What happened?" Twilight asked.
"Rarity happened, for sum reason her went nightmare moon like and just attacked us. We tried defending ourselves but there was no water in the pitcher and then she left" Applejack said, adding in her own metaphor.
"It was scary" Fluttershy added, shivering in fear.
"Yeah I tried to defend myself but no suck luck" Kassidy said.
