Spike had been waiting for 2 hours. Something had gone wrong I guess. I checked the time, it was 4:05 a.m. Spike sighed and put my head in my hands. I knew our baby would be special I just knew it.
Meta had told me about the dragons, she said that she would have a dragon but she wouldn't be able to connect with it until her 16th birthday. No one foretold that childbirth would be this difficult. I had been in the room but I couldn't stand the pain my queen was going through.
Suddenly The doctor came into the room and I lifted my head he said "it was successful but... Something... Is wrong." Spike jumped up out of my chair and rushed into the room.
The Queen Rarity had her head pressed against our little girls head. I rushed to her bedside and asked what was wrong and my Rarity looked up and said"look there's a mark on her back. I looked on the child's back and saw the mark; they said it was a problem but I thought it was beautiful. It was a set of wings that filled her back with a crown on the top. It was red but it didn't look like it was a rash or bleeding or bruised.
Spike kissed her back and was rewarded with a slight giggle from the child. The Queen Rarity said in her velvety voice "ah I can already tell she will be a daddies girl. What shall we call her?" Spike thought for a minute and said: "let's call her Lily."
Rarity smiled and I kissed her on the nose. I turned to the doctor who had been watching the scene from the doorway. "When shall we leave?"
Still Prologue
Unknown Random guy P.O.V
The red and black egg dazzled in the light as the moon glinted off the egg, it was beautiful.
I looked around. I had watched as a man had come and returned the egg. We were in a clearing near a volcano. I knew that the egg would be hatching soon as I smiled down at her. The man had called it Aradace that would be the dragons name. I watched as the egg cracked, it cracked more and more.
I left before the baby could emerge from the egg. I didn't want to have an influence on The baby because it's rider would find it in 16 years. I knew it would be safe. I couldn't help but remember the symbol on the fiery egg, it had been a crown with wings that surrounded with a symbol underneath that meant power. I smiled slowly, +
It was all part of the prophecy.

Lily P.O.V
I ran through the kitchen grabbing two apples and sliding down the stairs. I landed at the bottom and high-fived the guard who held up a sign that had a big number 11 on it.
I ran to the next room and entered the throne room where they were waiting. I was 17 today and they said they wanted me in the throne room for "something." I entered and was not expecting to see as many people, but I did, and every head turned to face me.
I stood up straighter and walked elegantly to my chair next to my father. On the other side was my mother the Queen Rarity. I threw the apple to my father and he caught it and crunched down on it. I gave him a smile and he winked before I sat down and studied the crowd with curiosity. The queen stood finally and I turned my attention towards her. I listened intently to her next words "I know you are all gathered here today for the birthday of our precious child Lily.
As you all know it is her 17th birthday, a big one, we have all been awaiting this day because this is the day Lily will be a mature girl. Now without further due, I bet she would love her presents now. So like that the queen Rarity turned to me, winked, and kissed my forehead.
After she sat down the people in the crowd lined up and presented gifts. I got all kinds of things like jewels and baked sweets and dresses and other clothes. After the whole line had diminished there was one last person left. He looked old and really creepy. I sat straighter in my chair and shot dad a glance and he shot his guard a glance.
The man came closer and closer until he whispered in my ear. "There is a prophecy... Two queens will rise and the new age will start, a species that has been dead for years never died completely. Two will rise and change everything." he said one last thing "You must succeed!" He stepped back and burst into ashes, he ended quickly. I lurched forward in pain my back felt like it was being ripped open. I passed out in my chair as I saw my dad rush toward me ready to pick me up and take me to my room, my mother screamed. The guards rushed to the doors and secured the palace.
I dreamed I was running through the forest and pushed through vines. There was a specifically thick place in the vines and when I pushed through I landed hard on the other side. I scrambled around till I got my footing and looked around. I was in a clearing. I looked around and saw the most beautiful creature. It looked like a...dragon.
She had very big red scales with black scales mixed in every so often. She looked like fire and ashes. I studied the dragon more. Dragons aren't real...were they? I looked at it and it looked at me. It had a marking on its wing and I grabbed my shoulders knowing on my back I had the same marking it spoke to me and Said "Lily go to the forest the forest! Find me so we can be together!" I woke with a start and woke up whoever had been sleeping by my side.
Turns out it was my father because I was embraced in a large hug. I turned my head and hugged him back. He looked at me and said, "Lily what happened I thought you were poisoned!" I shook my head and said "no my back... It started to feel like it was being ripped open." His eyes widened and he bent me over looking at my back.
He gasped and I felt his fingers trace the wings. Then he touched the crown and then he touched something new, it was a symbol in a different language. I looked back but couldn't see it. My dad looked back at me and said "you have a different mark now. It was all red but now it's specked with black with a black symbol..." I shook my head not understanding, I didn't know who would understand. I sighed, maybe I could find the answers, I just wasn't looking in the right places.
After my father left to go find my mother I took the time to think over the dream. The creature... It's not real... But it had the same marking... Can dra- "LILY!" My mother rushed to my side and covered every inch of my face with kisses. After she had finished freaking out she leaned back and said "that man... I thought he had hurt you, I thought he poisoned you! Before you passed out he exploded into dust and DIED!" I nodded I had caught a glimpse.
My father walked into the room and exclaimed "Woman! I never knew you could run so fast! Geez, you'll give me a heart attack next time I chase you..." He huffed a breathe and we all laughed after we had talked about what he could have wanted I yawned and both the queen and king smiled. Spike takes a breathe and says "Lily we have watched you grow and have decided that it is time to let you in on a family secret... Well, more of a quest per say.
But to the point me and your mother think it is time to let you know." I nodded slowly wondering what this would be about. My mother says in a soft voice. " for years our kingdom has protected a race that we never wanted to die out but after 1 year of keeping the race thriving they started to be killed off quickly... Too... Quickly.
The whole kingdom searched for the source of all the death coming to our beloved race. But nothing could be done. We were forced to watch the last die." My father cut mother off and continued the story " we thought the last had died and for years we gave up searching but now we think because you've grown this new mark, that you are the only one who can save the race." They shot each other a sly look. The race of... Dragons."
