Within the ages of pegasi, earth pony, and unicorns, there was a underground civilization near the Everfree Forest. Although, this civilization was unlike any other. Above on the surface, it would look like normal grassy ground. But underneath was something ponies would never imagine of. 

Underneath ground lied a large crystal cavern that was miles long. It was home to mysterious and magical ponies. Although ponies had never discovered them, it was better that way for a lot of them. Here was the birth place and home to thousands of the same species. Though, these ponies had not lived here long for they were formed within crystals. These crystals would help form the pony and keep them safe from harm as they stayed within them for almost 3000 years. If somepony were to break the crystal, they would most likely die or not live long. Although, one pony had proven to have broken that theory. But, we'll talk about her later. 

Queen Celestine was the first born of the civilization of Crystal Ponies. She and many others were born at the same time.  But the rest of the other thousands were either her children or their children's, children. She had taken the honor of being their Queen for helping them find a safe place to live and build a home for them. 

While in her rule, she had one last child. A pegasus who had no back legs and slight issues. When leaving her crystal to grow, she had found odd creatures that called themselves "Draconequus" trespassing her land and trying to build their own civilization upon the surface. Although it wasn't within her own civilization, she did not like the idea of a different species above them. She ordered her ponies to destroy their home and take back what was their's. Though, the ponies seem to be having some issues since the draconequus were quite strong against them. Celestine made her way up there to help fight them off.

Within the fight of draconequus and crystal ponies, she saw their leader. A draconequus hybrid of a snowy leopard and owl and many more animals was prevailing against them as she breathed some kind of ice breath at them, freezing her crystal ponies into ice. Glacier was what the draconequus leader seem to go by. She was the one doing this. Celestine then took charge, charging at the draconequus leader and stabbing her through with a large crystal. The draconequus watched horrified as their leader fell limply to the ground, never to awake again. Though, within that moment. Celestine took notice of a smaller draconequus with a snowy leopard paw running off. She seemed to be the daughter of the draconequus she had slain. 

Celestine didn't really have time to think though since she and her army were pushed back into their caverns from where they had came from. That day, Celestine had lost much of her army and species. Soon there was only 4 of them left. Celestine then abandoned her once home she had grown of thousands and took off with the 4 of them into hiding where the draconequus could not find them.

Although, many years later. Glacier's daughter, Snowpaw who was pregnant with her own child had found Celestine's last spawn. Through her fury and anguish of her mother's death, she shattered the crystal the pony remained in and took off running. Though, her friend however would not let such a future come to pass. Snowpaw's friend had given the child to a normal unicorn who could possibly take care of her with her mother Celestine being gone somewhere. 

From then, Celestine's child grew up in the unicorn's home. The unicorn had used the same crystal she was born in and lived around to create the small child a set of back hooves. This way she could run around and walk freely like anypony else could. It warmed the unicorn's heart to see her so happy and able to live a life normally like she'd loved her to. Although, the young one had some other issues as well. Due to her coming out of her crystal too early, she only had a chance of living for about 5 years. The unicorn used a few methods though to be sure she'd stay alive. 

The back hooves that the filly had were made fully of the crystal she was born it. Say, the crystal was like a mother to crystal ponies. The crystal ensured that the filly would live longer by using its magic dust. It was the best the unicorn could do for her adopted daughter since she wasn't at all a crystal pony herself. 

The filly was roaming one day until she came across a war between some evil draconequus and ponies. She was quite curious about it until her unicorn mother was targeted by the evil one himself. Killing her in front of her. Though, she found herself relating to the small son of Snowpaw since the evil one killed his mother too. The two of them lived with two other orphan alicorns, Celestia and Luna. They chose to forget the grief and regret and just for all of them to be best friends. It was the least they could do anyway within their situations. Though, the young filly wasn't able to keep two of her friends for long.

Luna had turned in a large mare of darkness named "Nightmare Moon" and was banished to the moon. Then her friend Discord had lost himself in his chaos and was banished to stone. The only one left she had was her friend Celestia. And she too went separate ways to rule over a kingdom by herself since her sister was gone. The now teenager crystal pony had to be alone for almost 3000 years until her friends returned to her.

She was about to pass on as well until the now released Discord saved her by using the crystals within the empire. Forgetting the evil that once lived there and saving her. He and his friends soon took on the evil draconequus and brought him back to his old self. Discord's very own father, Firefly. Discord was then crowned the new ruler of the draconequus civilization, the Draconequus Empire. Although, his grief and regrets still remained, the crystal pony assured he was much more then that and that he was different then from what he once was. 

Within a few months, the draconequus found love with the pony and soon began dating her. Though, her mother Celestine could not be happy about this. But did it really matter? 

The daughter of Celestine, Golden Page. And the son of Snowpaw, Discord, decided to live by their own commands and live the way they wanted and love freely from then.
