Godzilla's Lost Child

It has been two days since Twilight woke up recovering in a bed-like formation. She never thought that she could be dependent on the beast that terrorized Equestria, let alone claimed to be her own biological father. And what, she's estimating, that he turned her into whatever he is, only that she still retained her now white mane, her wings, and her cutie mark. Oh, and the only food that she ever was feed, was in fact, meat from those giant turtles. She needed to eat several of them per day just to get full.

"Why does he keep feeding me those turtles? If only I can have one nice, juicy whale every once in a while." Twilight said, smacking her lips before her eyes widened when she heard her own words. She put her hand over her mouth in shock at what she had said and what she had wanted. She wanted to eat meat? She's a pony, she eats vegetables and fruit, not meat! Her new instincts had led her to actually eat meat, but she only did it because the beast was around, but this time, she actually wanted to eat a whale now!

"Stay calm, Twilight. Hopefully, this will all turn out to be a night- ow!" Twilight yelped in pain as she tried to get up, falling accidentally on her tail. Twilight pulled herself up as she shook all the pain off. She preferred to walk on all fours, but it became painful after a very shot period of time, and she was forced to move bipedally like she had done in the human world.

"Ugh! How does he do this? How the beast walks upright despite his weight is against all the knowledge I have!" Twilight said as she tottered about. She was about to scout the area when she heard an all too familiar voice.

<You actually got up. I was wondering when you'd finally do it. And yes, before you ask, I did hear the whale part when I was about to go back.>

Twilight looked to see Godzilla standing behind her. Even when Twilight was at her full height, she was about two thirds his size.

"Why are you here, now? I just wanted some time alone." Twilight asked before the King of Monsters walked right beside her.

<You need your space, and I can respect that, but all I want is to spend some time with you. I thought I lost you all those years ago, so what father can handle it?> he said.

Twilight was about to protest when she realized that he is not breaking.

"Why do you claim that I'm your daughter. I'm Twilight Sparkle, the Princess of Friendship. I was born a pony and a pony I am. I was a truly excellent magician, and a friend to five other ponies, a dragon, and now, a teacher to a unicorn named Starlight Glimmer. So why should I believe you, when I have records by my side?" Twilight asked.

<Maybe it's because you haven't looked at my records, my side of the story. I might as well tell you from the beginning. Here, come sit beside your papa, since your too big to sit in my lap.>

As Godzilla sat onto the formation, he began to speak.

<I wasn't always the mighty titan you see before yourself. Originally, I was just another mindless animal who fed on other mindless animals for substance.> As he talked, Twilight felt the odd need to sit right beside him, but fought and hid it quite well. For some reason, she felt right when around him. During her childhood, she felt awkward and out of place. Now, she felt absolutely safe and complete and safe around Godzilla, likely a side effect of her new form.

<I thought I was the last of my kind, and then came that fateful day when the United States bombed Hiroshima, not that you remember any of this, since you weren't around way back when. My new sentience had given me feelings beyond what I had ever felt before in my life. One such feeling was anger at the humans. I thought I was the last of my kind, and then I thought that I was the first of my kind. I never felt any lonelier than I was before. But then, a miracle happened. I saw a female with the same mutations that I had and all. And we did whatever the last two members of a species would: mate.>

Twilight didn't believe what she heard, but she let him continue as he stood back up.

<She laid a clutch of eggs in a mountain range, two of them were boys, and there was one daughter. You were only a baby at that fateful day I lost you. The humans have invented a powerful weapon that I thought you do you out, but it didn't. My mate and my two sons weren't so lucky, however. They wound up being killed by some weird cross between me and a dragonfly. I never thought I could be any angrier at the humans at what they did. They took you away... they took...>

Godzilla caught himself and breathed deeply, flushing away all those painful memories.

<As I was about to say, I quickly got mad and destroyed entire cultures, cities and even nations in the blink of an eye. The humans got rid of me by freezing me in the ice for who knows how long. I first thought that your cities were those of humans, and then it went from there. You confronted me and reverted back to your original self. Sure, you still had wings and that star, but it was close enough of a resemblance to me.> As Godzilla finished his story, Twilight thought about what she would think.

Everything that he told her was extremely detailed and complex, and he said it like he really meant it? Twilight thought about the humans that Godzilla had encountered. Were they like the humans at Canterlot High, or were they something else entirely. She would be more than happy to burn a civilization of sentient quesadillas away. Those things are pure evil in the form of food.

"Well, it may have killed your daughter, but I'm not her." Twilight said. Well, she hoped it was true. But what if he was telling the truth about her? What would she do? He held all the cards, and she had none. Twilight sat down on a hill just the right size and began to think about what she should do.
