Dragonball Super: Rise of The Super Alicorn God

Battle of Gods Saga: The Fall of a God

[Above the Atmosphere’s Earth, Universe 7]

Beyond the atmosphere of the planet Earth, the legendary Super Saiyan God revealed to be Son Goku was fighting against the mightiest being of Universe 7 known as Lord Beerus, the God of Destruction.

The deity had risen from deep slumber with the sole purpose of fighting his supposedly ultimate rival, who his prophetic dream identified as the 'Super Saiyan God'. Now, however, he was almost regretting to have summoned him.

Goku was delivering a barrage of kicks and punches to Lord Beerus as the God was being overwhelmed and surprised by the power of the Saiyan warrior. All of this, mere moments after Goku reverted back to a mere Super Saiyan from his divine God form. But the purple cat was able to take some distance and launched a counterattack.

"Did you like using blasts against me?!" yelled Goku as he was trying to hit Beerus, "I got one for you!"

"Go on then," said the God as he was dodging the Saiyan's punches, "Do it."

After those words were spoken, Goku started teleporting to different directions around Lord Beerus, with the latter trying to see where he would reappear. Goku suddenly appeared 10 meters under the God of Destruction with his charging signature attack, the Kamehameha, and unleashed it with a mighty roar, "HAAAAAA!!!!"

"AAAAAAAH!!" yelled Lord Beerus as he was overwhelmed by the blue wave of energy and engulfed in a huge explosion visible from the planet surface. The blast produced hurricane-like winds where the Z-Fighters were located. However, even with the reach of that powerful attack, the deity remained unharmed as the cloud of smoke generated by the explosion was dispersing by itself.

"Now it's my turn," Beerus said sinisterly while charging between his hands a sun-like sphere. In an instant, he enlarged the sphere to the size of the moon, placed it over his head and was getting ready to let it loose on the helpless world below.

[On Earth]

The Z-Fighters were astonished by the power of Goku who, even though he was not the Super Saiyan God anymore, was able to fight toe to toe with the God of Destruction. Everyone was silent, not daring to say anything. They witnessed what seemed to be another sun above the planet, much to the worry of some of the spectators.

“What is that thing? It looks like the Sun!” said Tien, furthering the dread of the others around him.

“It’s a blast attack from Beerus, this is not good!” Vegeta exclaimed

Whis, the assistant of Lord Beerus, was projecting the images of the fight between the 2 warriors with the aid of his scepter. This was done to make the fight more accessible to untrained eyes. "Oh my," he said after seeing what kind of attack his master was about to perform, "I haven't seen Lord Beerus look so excited in a fight in a long time."

[Above Earth]

Goku was not so surprised to see his opponent unharmed by his attack, he somewhat knew that Lord Beerus wasn't using his full strength. But his eyes opened wide when he saw that giant sun-like orb that the God was about to throw. He was panting, tired and exhausted. The Kamehameha drained a lot of his energy and now his Super Saiyan aura had all but gone out.

"That blast was not bad, now let's see how you handle this!" exclaimed the God of Destruction as he threw the massive orange orb against the Super Saiyan.

"If that thing keeps its path it will destroy the Planet!" Goku mentally stated as he powered up his Super Saiyan aura, "I can’t let that blast hit the Earth!"

Goku puts his hands in front of him in an attempt to stop the Blast Attack of Lord Beerus and, much to the God's surprise, was able to stop the gigantic ball from its continuous path of planetary annihilation. As time went on, his power further decreased from his already low energy supply and he himself would not last much longer.

"Impressive," said the God of Destruction.

"W-what?" struggled Goku, trying to push back or at least deflect the giant sphere.

"When your God Ki ran out, I thought you would not be much of an opponent anymore. I'm quite impressed by how long you’ve lasted against me."

"W-what are you t-talking about?"

"If you haven't noticed it yet, you regressed to a mere Super Saiyan some time ago."

"What?! How?!"

"It seems like your body learned from the experience of being a deity, so when you dropped to the first level of the Super Saiyan, your strength didn't fall too much, allowing you to still keep up with me. Soon you'll find out whether or not the red blaze still burns within you. That is if you survive this of course."

"Yeah, but I've just reached my limit! I don't think I'll be able to stop this thing from destroying the Earth!"

"Then accept the fate of your planet!" as those words were spoken, Lord Beerus aimed with his left hand and shot an orange energy wave similar in size to the orb, furthering the power of the destructive ball.

Goku was fighting to live as he was engulfed by the sphere and dropped to his normal form. The clash between the Saiyan's powers to resist and the God of Destruction’s attack, combined with its latest move, was so powerful that it cracked the dimensional wall of Universe 7. Our hero fell into the aperture as Beerus’s combo attack destroyed the planet below.

Suddenly, the Angel known as Whis appeared next to the purple cat with a bag of food cooked for them previously and said "Was that really necessary, Lord Beerus? I don't think there is another planet in the universe that could match Earth's food."

"I’m aware of that,” Beerus admitted, “But you better got some for me too!"

"Oh don't worry, my Lord, I assured myself to get enough food for both of us."

"Excellent."

"Now, what about the Super Saiyan God, Son Goku?" inquired Whis

"What do you mean? He just turned into cosmic dust."

"Uh… No, he didn't."

"What!? Are you telling me that he's still alive, Whis?"

"Mmhm, it seems that your attack combined with his resistance opened a portal to a pocket dimension of this universe. And Son Goku fell right into it."

"Interesting," said Beerus while putting a hand on his chin, "It seems like he's the hard-to-kill type, but tell me, do you know where he fell in?"

Whis just smiled at this question because the place where Goku was now wasn't unknown to them, especially to the God of Destruction.

[Equestria, Canterlot's Suburbs, Pocket Dimension of Universe 7]

Ponies all over were decorating the city for the Summer Sun Celebration, the longest day of the year and the day Princess Celestia, Goddess of the Sun and co-ruler of Equestria, demonstrated to her subjects her rising of the Sun. The Mane 6 and Spike were there as well, but instead of helping the other ponies in decorating the capital, five of them were watching Rainbow Dash, the self-proclaimed 'Fastest Flyer in Equestria', train the new alicorn princess, Twilight Sparkle, the mechanisms of flight.

Since the lavender alicorn was formerly a unicorn, learning to use her new wings proved to be very difficult, more difficult than she expected. She was flapping her wings in mid-air, trying to go higher as Rainbow Dash approached her and stated: "You just have to flap your wings as hard as you can!" Twilight nodded and tried to follow her friend's advice, but during the ascension, she lost stability and crashed against a nearby tree.

"Hehehe," the princess blushed, embarrassed by her poor performance as Rainbow flew next to her.

"Maybe not that hard," said the pegasus in a worried tone.

As Twilight started to fly again, the pink Earth Pony known as Pinkie Pie began to shake wildly.

"Ehm... Pinkie what's wrong? If you don't mind me asking," asked Fluttershy in a voice just above a whisper.

"Wowwee! I never ever had a doozy like this before!" exclaimed the joyful pink mare.

"Doozy?" said Fluttershy confused.

As those words were spoken, Spike ran to a hiding spot under a bench: "W-what's about to happen, Pinkie?" he asked with worry.

"I dunno. But it's about to happen right..."

Meanwhile, Twilight was flying worse than before because of her unsynchronized flight pattern. Suddenly, something was coming at high speed against her. The object seemed to be a meteor falling from the sky and the alicorn princess was in its trajectory. Spike and the Mane 6 minus Twilight noticed this and everypony but Pinkie tried to warn their friend.

“Move outta the way, Twi!” yelled Applejack

“Look behind you dear!” exclaimed Rarity

"Twilight! Watch out!" exclaimed Rainbow as she sped off to move her friend from the fireball’s path.

The lavender mare was able to see the incoming threat before being saved just in time by her rainbow-maned friend. The others moved away quickly as the meteor crashed with a furious thunderclap, raising a dense cloud of dust and digging a trench 50 meters in length. The noise of the crash was heard by everypony within the range of 1 km and those that were near the crash site escaped in fear for their lives.

"... Now," Pinkie simply said as the cloud of dust was dispersing itself.

"Sweet Celestia! Is everypony alright?!" asked Twilight worriedly as she landed near her friends with Rainbow Dash.

"We’re fine, Princess Twilight, none of us got hurt," said Applejack cleaning up her stetson from dust.

The lavender alicorn sighed in relief but then she added, "Applejack, you know it's not necessary to call me by that title."

"And why shouldn't she? You already renounced your willingness to wear your crown, at least accept your new status," supported Rarity

"Girls, can we talk about this later? If you haven't noticed it yet, a fireball fell from the sky and almost turned all of us into burned pancakes!" broke off Rainbow with an annoyed tone.

"You’re right," said Twilight as she was looking around, "But where’s Spike and Fluttershy?"

"H-here," said a familiar voice as everypony turned around to see Fluttershy hidden in a bush, shaking with fear. Next to her was Spike, in the same state as her, but underneath a bench that was next to the bush Fluttershy was in.

"W-what in Equestria was t-that?!" asked the baby dragon.

"I don't know, Spike, but we'll have to find out sooner than later. Let's see where that thing crashed," answered Twilight.

"A-are you sure? Can't we for once let the Royal Guards deal with the problem?"

"Oh come on, Spike, it is probably nothing more than a meteor. Why do we have to annoy the guards with something that we can handle by ourselves?"

"What's a m-meteor?" asked Fluttershy, who was still shaken by the sudden event.

"It's basically space debris so there is nothing to worry about," said Twilight with a calming smile.

"O-okay," said the yellow pegasus, a little bit reassured by Twilight's words.

After getting them out of their hiding spots, the group was heading towards the crash site. The meteor left behind a trench that they were following along, leading the way to where the fireball landed. Twilight was somewhat excited about this, she always observed the stars and asteroids with her telescope in the Canterlot observatory and now from her own home in Ponyville, but to have the opportunity to see one this close and study it? To her, it was priceless.

The group finally reached the end of the trench and tried to see what was inside the crater, but what they saw was beyond their expectations. At the bottom of the crater was an unconscious white Alicorn, scorched, wounded and bruised, about the size of Twilight with a black and spiky tail and a wild black mane. His cutie mark was a black and white swirling orb of equal proportion to each other, otherwise known as a Yin Yang symbol. He wore just the superior part of a torn and scorched orange gi with a blue undershirt and blue wristbands on his forehooves.

The girls and Spike were taken aback by what they saw, some of them gasped loudly, while others were left speechless.

"What in tarnation?" asked a shocked Applejack.

"Oh, dear Celestia! He looks really hurt!" exclaimed Fluttershy as she sped off to see if the stallion was still alive. Even though he was a complete stranger to her or her friends, that was no excuse to leave behind a wounded pony in need of help.

"A-another alicorn??" spoke Twilight, shocked like Applejack, "And as if it isn't weird enough already, he's a male alicorn!" she internally yelled.

"Come on girls, let's see if he's alright," said Rainbow after she regained her composure and reached Fluttershy, the others following in unison.

"Fluttershy, darling, is he..?" asked Rarity in worry, dreading to finish the sentence.

Fluttershy just shook her head, "No, his heart and pulse are still beating, but he needs medical attention as soon as possible,'' she said in a concerned tone.

"Let's bring him to the castle," said the princess.

"Ehm, Twilight, you do know he needs emergency service and not a meeting with Princess Celestia, right?" asked a skeptical Spike.

"I know that Spike, but we can't just bring with us another alicorn that nopony has ever seen before as if it were a mundane thing to do, let alone a male Alicorn nevertheless!"

"What's the big deal with his gender?"

"You don't understand, don't you? Never in the history of Equestria was there a male alicorn! Ponies will start asking for answers and that could unleash a revolution!"

"Now you’re just overreacting, Twi," Spike said flatly.

"Maybe, but we can't take the risk. Let's bring him to the castle, so I can call Princess Celestia, and tell her about this incident. I'm sure she'll be able to heal him, and once that's done, he can give us the answers we want to know.” And with that said, Twilight started to channel her magic in her horn to levitate the unconscious stallion and quickly get to the Canterlot Castle, with her friends following behind.

[Canterlot Castle]

Princess Celestia was sitting on the balcony of her bedroom as she was seeing the city being decorated for the Summer Sun Celebration in a few days' time. There was a time when she hated the holiday due to it reminding her of the day she was forced to seal off her little sister, Princess Luna, in the moon for a thousand years. However, her negative opinion on the day has lifted now because nearly 3 years ago her prized pupil, Twilight Sparkle, with the aid of her friends purified the heart of the Moon Goddess. In Celestia’s opinion, this holiday was to mainly celebrate the return of Luna from her imprisonment, with all the standard rising sun ceremony procedures falling into the background.

Speaking of the lavender pony, Celestia thought this was her anniversary too because the Summer Sun Celebration day was the day she learned the importance of friendship. She remembered how distant she was from other ponies before the return of Nightmare Moon. Now, she wasn't her student anymore but a princess to her, with a lot of friends who care about her and vice versa. A reason why Celestia was so proud of her.

Her thoughts were interrupted by somepony knocking on the bedroom's door. She stood up and answered "Yes?" as she was approaching the door.

Princess Celestia opened the door to see a royal guard right in front of her, "Your Majesty," said a royal guard pony, who saluted her, "Princess Twilight requires an audience with you for something she deems important."

"Something important?"

"Yes, she is waiting for you in the throne room."

"I wonder what could it be about," Celestia said as she left her quarters and used her magic to close the door behind her.

[Throne Room]

Twilight was sitting before the empty thrones of the hall, waiting for her former teacher. Her friends decided to stay and keep an eye out for the mysterious alicorn in the infirmary of the castle, as the nurses were healing him. Who was that handsome stallion? Wait, 'handsome'? Anyways, where did he come from? And what led to him to fall from the sky like that? The way he looks now it seems as though he was in the middle of a battlefield, and the state of his orange gi somewhat supported her theory, even though the fall could also explain his current state too. Questions were storming in Twilight's head as she was trying to figure out the enigma.

"Princess Twilight," said a familiar voice that interrupted her thoughts.

"Princess Celestia!" happily said the younger alicorn, approaching her former teacher, "I'm so glad to see you!"

"Me too, Twilight. So, why did you want to see me? Did something happen?"

"W-well," Twilight started with a little tone of worry, "Y-yes but first I have a question, Princess. Is it possible for a stallion to be born as an alicorn or become one?"

This question caught Celestia off guard. Why was her former pupil asking this of all things? "Why do you ask this?" she said after regaining her composure.

"W-well, it happened that... an alicorn stallion fell from the sky a-and now he's here in the castle receiving medical attention," said a nervous Twilight, not knowing what kind of reaction Celestia would have.

Celestia’s eyes wide opened. Was she telling her the truth? Of course, she had total faith in Twilight and she would never lie to her, but how is it possible? After regaining her senses, she pushed these thoughts aside and said in a serious tone "Bring me to him."

[Castle's Infirmary]

The Mane 5 and Spike were now around the bed where the mysterious alicorn laid motionless. The nurses did a good job bandaging his wounds and were also marveled at how he actually survived such injuries. Certainly, those wounds would be deadly for the average pony. They also praised the mares and little dragon for bringing the stallion to the infirmary in time or he wouldn't be alive right now.

Even though they were relieved that his life wasn't in danger anymore and glad to have helped somepony in need, they couldn't help but wonder about the identity of the fallen alicorn.

"Who do y'all think he could be?" said Applejack

"I have no idea, darling, but whoever he is, he needs to visit the hairdresser. His mane is simply horrible but at least he has a little bit of taste in clothes," stated Rarity and added, "It's a pity his gi was totally ruined by the crash." she said while checking his battered orange gi.

"Whatever," said Rainbow Dash rolling her eyes in annoyance but then her eyes opened and said "Wait, gi?"

"Yes, that's a gi."

"How do you know that?"

"Well, as a fashionista, I'm able to recognize any type of clothes, no matter how battered and ruined they are. Besides, I'm a former Martial Artist and Karate Black Belt."

Rainbow's eyes wide opened "What?!"

"Well, how do you explain those moves I performed when we were fighting the Changeling Army?" said Rarity with a smirk.

"Right... But I thought you weren’t a fan of things like sport, let alone Martial Arts."

"I practiced Martial Arts mainly because they tone the body and because a Lady must know how to defend herself if there isn't a Knight ready to protect her. I simply did it out of necessity rather than actual interest."

"And they worked," said Spike with hearts on his eyes. The mares started to laugh at the baby dragon's behavior, so he quickly regained his composure after the embarrassment, and tried to return to the main topic, "A-anyways I don't know why Twilight is so worried, he's just somepony in need who by chance is an alicorn. Maybe he's a family member of Princess Celestia?"

"Ehehehe yeah. It's not like he's an alien from the main dimension of Universe 7, who fell here after a fierce battle against a God of Destruction," Pinkie casually blurted out with a bright smile. The others were looking at her confused, "What?" she said after noticing this.

"You have a wild imagination, you know Pinkie?" said Rainbow with a raised eyebrow.

"I agree with Spike, he doesn't seem so bad. Maybe he's nice and kind-hearted just like the Princess," said Fluttershy with a little smile.

"If Spike is correct, that means this stallion is a Prince!" exclaimed Rarity with stars in her eyes, but then added with a hint of anger, "Hopefully more polite than that Blueblood character."

The doors opened suddenly to reveal Twilight and Celestia. The mares and dragon bowed before them. "There's no need, my little ponies, we are all friends here," said Celestia as the Mane 5 and Spike stood up.

Celestia and Twilight trotted to the wounded alicorn laying on the bed, the former looking at him carefully. Her former student wasn't lying as she expected, but who could this stranger be? And how is it possible that she never heard about a new alicorn? She wanted answers, but the only one that could give them to her and the others wasn't in any condition to speak.

"Can you heal him, Princess?" asked Twilight with a worried tone. For both of them, just like the others, it's kind of heartbreaking to see somepony in this state: they wanted answers, yes, but they were worried for him, despite his life wasn't in danger anymore and the lack of knowledge they had on the stallion.

"I'll do my best," nodded Celestia, and started to channel her magic in her horn that started to glow a light yellow. She fired a magic beam at the unconscious stallion, and most of his wounds started to heal. After about a minute, around 80% of his wounds were fully healed, and the princess stopped channeling her magic when she saw a reaction from the downed alicorn.

"What happened?" asked Twilight, curious as everypony else.

"I saw a reaction from him. I think he's about to wake up," answered Celestia. The Elements of Harmony's Bearers plus Spike started to give some space for the waking stallion.

The black-maned alicorn's eyes started to open slowly as his blurry vision started to become more clear. He saw 7 mares and what seemed to be a baby dragon staring at him. With an awkward silence, neither side knew what to do. Not knowing what was happening, where he was or why there were six ponies, a horse and a baby dragon looking at him, he simply did what he always did when he meets new people, "Hi" he started with his trademark smile, "My name's Goku.”
