Twilight was flying threw the clouds of smoke, The smell of the air was disgusting, below her, was a field full of fighting soldiers, dead where scattered on the ground, some still barely alive. Next to her was Luna, they where both wearing full body armor, Luna however had a Gas-mask on
"They knew we where coming, there burning dead animals all over the place, filling the sky's with sicking smog" Twilight coughed.
"Where's you mask?" Luna questioned
"it was damaged in the last battle" Twilight said
"General Iron Hoof said th...."
"I know what he said, and I don't care, If I die, that just gives our side more of a reason to fight the enemy back"
"And the enemy a huge victory." Luna replied "These rebels are after us specifically Sparkle, they want us gone, they want Equestria to fall.
"I Know"
"Do you want them to win" Luna demand turning to Twilight block Twilight, who stopped.
"No!" She said "I want them to surrender, I want a peace talk"
"Have you forgotten what they did when we tried that!?"
"NO I HAVEN'T!!" Twilight yelled bck
"DO YOU WANT A REPEAT OF THE CRYSTAL EMPIRE!?" Luna yelled furiously, only to immediately give a look of horror, and get one back from Twilight "I did not mean to say that!" Luna said, Twilight looked at her silently "That wasn't your fault!"
"No....it was....I'm the one who arranged the meeting, I'm the reason Candace is dead."
"Sparkle, it wasn't your...." Luna began, but before she finished a Loud crack was head below, Luna tuned, and Briefly was a Large Cross bow bolt, shooting strait at her, before she could even react, Twilight slammed into her, knocking her out of the way as the bolt hit Twilight Strait in the gut, and pierced right threw them, talking her with it into the air, "NO!!" Luna turned Immediately, and With a magic attack of pure rage, Incinerated half the battle field, leaving the enemy with nearly no forces left in the battle. Luna turned after the bolt, flying to where it had hit the ground. Twilight lay on her side, the bottom half of her body completely gone. Luna ran forward and looked down at her, Twilight looked up, and feebly said
"Sorry" before laying her head back down and taking shallow breaths, she closed her eye's and in what seemed like no time at all, she opened them to look up at a ceiling. She looked around, she was in a hospital, her lower half still gone, she had thousands of tubes sticking out of her. She tried to look around, but stopped when she heard sobbing, it took a lot of willpower but she managed to look at the foot of her bed, and saw a disheveled Luna, with her hooves crossed and her face hidden in them, sobbing and muttering
"Should have been me." over and over, Twilight lay back down. Mustered up her will again and stuttered out
"It....its no....not your fa...fault" Luna's head shot up, she ran to the side of Twilight's bed, and held her hoof.
"Just hold on....the....the Doctor's are....are attempting to get robotic replacements....it's hard to find them since the enemy destroyed most of the factories....but just hold*sniff*hold on...please hold on.."
"Luna..."
"Please hold on...please....please....don't leave us....please.
"This isn't you...your fault....I...shou....brought...mask.."
"This....this..." Luna lost her voice and broke down again. When two voices from behind them spoke up
"Personally I blame the guy who shot the bolt"a familiar female voice said
"I agree" a male replied. Luna and Twilight turned to the owner of the voices, and looking out the window, Stood Spike and Cadance, they turned and looked at the two.
"I mean, it was the guy who stabbed me that killed me, not you Twilight" Cadance said as she walked to the two, Spike turned back to the window
"What Fuck, why is the sky brown?" He asked in shock
"Shush Spike" Cadance said as she smiled at Luna and Twilight.
"It's your time Twilight"
"Ca....can't she hold on....she's still with us"
"No.....I'm sorry, but her time is up....that's the only reason me and Spike can even be here.
"Yea" Pinkie Pie suddenly said from the other side of the bed, making Luna jump, and Twilight's heart monitor to skip a beat.
"What couldn't wait 20 seconds?" Spike asked
"I have waited for almost 20 thousand years Spike!!" Pinkie replied "I've waited long enough!" she leaned down to Twilight "I love you...we all do, and me and the rest are gonna trow you the biggest death day party ever!!!" and with that she just vanished. the was silence for a second, when suddenly Twilight stared to cry and laugh at the same time
"Are you..." Luna began, then saw the look of joy on Twilight's face
"I missed her...I missed them all....I missed you two....I missed you Spike....you...you kept your promises." Spike walked over then looked at Luna.
"Twilight couldn't see Starlight when she came for me...why can you see us?"
"I....was in the land of the dead when Nightmare Moon took over my body. I have a....a special connection." Spike sighed
"That some grade A Bullshit....Starlight got to pass on a ghost message and I don't...what ever...It's time now...like right now" There was a loud blip, and Twilight's heart stopped. Suddenly Twilight was standing next to Cadance.
"Are you ready to go?" Cadance asked? Twilight's reply was to tackle hug Luna
"I'll wait for you" She promised to Luna's shock "Nothing last's forever....when your time come's I'll be there for you." Cadance and Twilight walked side by side and disapered leaving only Spike who looked up at Luna.
"Sup" he said as he looked at Twilight's body
"Why are you still here?" Luna asked
"I just wanted to see them...I don't have enough patients to wait like Pinkie does."
"See wh..." Luna stated, but stopped when Flurry heart and Celestia walked in. There was silence.
"No...no...." Was all Celestia could muster...Flurry's reaction was a little more vilent
"DAMMIT...NOT AGAIN!!" She screamed "EVERY TIME SOME PONY I CARE FOR DIE'S IM NEVER THERE TO TELL THEM GOODBYE!! MY FATHER...SPIKE....MOTHER....AND NOW TWILIGHT!!!" She slammed her hoof on the floor cracking it. Luna looked at Spike
"Them I'm guessing?"
"Dang right" Spike said. Celestia looked at Luna
"Who are you talking to?"
"One of the Spirit's that took Twilight to the next world.
"Who?" Celestia asked as Flurry continued to sob and hit the floor. Luna lit her horn
"Him" She said bluntly as she cast a spell that made Spike visible. Celestia froze and Flurry stopped hitting the floor
"S...SPike?" She asked in tears..
"awe man....I just stole Twilight's thunder." Spike said. "Don't mind me...I just stayed to see you guy's one more time...just....ya know...the whole fare well thing and the honoring...." Spike was Tackled by Flurry
"I'm Sorry" She sobbed, Tell them...tell all tree of them for me...I'm sorry...I wan't there for you...for them...for.." She was silenced By Spike's hug
"oh hush...we all love you Flurry" He hugged her and looked at Celestia. Who smiled
"Good bye Spike...I Love you"
"Good bye Princesses....Good Bye Equestria....and..." he was silenced by Starlight who appeared behind him
"That's enough Spike...they said their good bye to you almost 15 thousand years ago"
"Yea...but I wanted to hear it for myself..." Spike said as he jumped on Starlight's back waving goodbye "How big's the cake?"
"gonna take us a hundred years to eat it"
"I fucking love Pinkie." Spike Yelled as the two dissapered. Luna cleared her thought and said
"OK....it's time....for...for...our goodbye's...I'll go First" Luna took one step forward and said loud and proudly
"I Loved Twilight...we where Friends....and have been for some centuries...if it wasn't for her...I'd still be on Nightmare Moon." She bowed her head "Rest in peace...and enjoy your massive cake I guess." Luna backed up and let Celestia speak
"Twilight...you where my prized student...and a loyal friend...and I shall grant you your only true wish...The Twilight Sparkle Memorial Library will be the first thing built after the war. Rest in peace...my friend" Flurry heart stepped forward..
"Goodbye...I'm sorry....You and me....haven't talked since the war began....I'll....*Sniff* I'll make sure your added to the statue of Friendship. Right next to Spike and my Mother.....I'm sorry I couldn't tell you this personal...I love you...and I'll never forget you. Rest in peace" The Three bowed their head...and slowly one by one...left. Celestia to tell her Country the news. Flurry heart to add Twilight to the statue...and Luna to go win a war.
