The Hefty Sniper

by Chubbow Rose

The Mission

It was in the middle of the night, quiet except for the occasional rustle of the trees in the low moonlight. Hiding under a rather large bush disguise was a bat pony, using the scope of her magically enhanced, silenced anti-materiel rifle to overlook the road below her hill. There was supposed to be an illegal arms shipment passing by tonight. Her job was to incapacitate it.

The sniper was codename: Silent Scope, but her real name was Nightengale. She was the only non-earthpony to use an anti-materiel rifle in the Equestrian Royal Guard's Spec Ops Sniper division. What made her able to utilize such a weapon also let her live a life with little secrecy and paranoia, unlike her fellow operatives who rarely went into public. The legendary Silent Scope was a heavily obese bat pony, the fattest mare in Equestria some might say if they saw her.

It was the perfect disguise, really. After all who would think that the pony that looks like she's been banned from a few buffets could take your head off from a mile away?

The bat pony, with her dark blue coat, black mane, and cyan eyes wore a uniform that allowed for little hindered movement. Ironic considering her massive bellybed of a gut. It did nothing to hide her belly, or her cleavage. If anything the dark purple armor was just there to tease her curves.

Despite how silly it was, her soft gut and massive bosum let her rest in place for hours, given she ate enough beforehand. Not only that, but her hugely fat body let her absorb her rifle's monstrous recoil, letting her fire the semi-auto rifle faster than any of her peers and keep her accuracy.

Her rifle itself was a work of art, the majority of the weapon made up of a special material named Voidmetal. It was unbelievably strong and seemed to absorb light, but it was also extremely rare. Just that alone made it worth a fortune, and that wasn't counting the magical engravings that decorated the weapon's entirety, making it nearly indestructible and surprisingly light.

The stock was made of wood, but the oak was also enchanted and gave the rifle an enchanting look. At the end of the weapon was a silencer, both magically and mechanically designed to quiet the weapon's powerful shots.

Nightengale absolutely loved the thing and couldn't wait to prove why it was in her hands once again.

She was idly wondering about what she'd name her lovely day-ruiner when her target came into view. It was a large carriage with 6 wheels. The frame was reinforced with steel, she also suspected the entire thing was reinforced with defensive spells. The bat pony couldn't see any windows and she suspected the door was on back side, for easier loading and unloading of goods.

Nightengale couldn't tell how many were inside, but she could see that two heavily armored stallions were upfront, batponies like herself, guarding the carriage. Two others hung off the back keeping a lookout for anyone who tried to sneak up on them. Too bad they'd never see the attack coming until it was far too late.

'Showtime' Nightengale thought to herself with a predatory grin that looked out of place on her soft features. The marksmare turned off the safety and charged her rifle before aiming at one of the wheels. Thanks to the help of some Pegasus guards, there was no wind around to put off her shot, letting her only need to worry about bullet drop.

Sighting her target on the carriage's front left wheel, the blue sniper put her finger on the trigger and led her sight. She waited until the magically driven carriage was in the ambush spot before she pushed all her breath out and slowly pulled the trigger.

The gun fired, a slight crack of noise coming out despite the advanced silencer on the end. The recoil pushed the gun up and back, pressing intto the obese mate's shoulder. Her entire body jiggled from the force, shifting back on her belly bed.

Despite the movement of her body the marksmare was already lining up the next shot, waiting only a few seconds to let her body steady before slowly and carefully firing her next shot, well used to keeping her weapon on target while her body wobbled.

Meanwhile, the guards didn't know how to react when the middle of the front left wheel exploded into metal and wooden fragments. Just as they were about to sound the alarm another wheel exploded, the left middle, causing the front left corner of the carriage to dig into the ground, making it nearly impossible to escape.

The second shot was also a tracer round, causing a red trail to follow. This triggered the ambush, letting the guards hidden nearby quickly incapacitate the guards in the confusion, the heavy armor no use against the CQC earth pony specialists.

After that it was simple cleanup, with the carriage breached and the ponies inside taken into custody. The Royal Guard found a small stockpile of military grade weapons and potions inside, as well as enough information to set up another ambush for the intended recipients for the cargo.

Back on the hill Nightengale got up and stretched, another perfect job. "Ah, well that wasn't much of a challenge." She said aloud, her smooth voice loud on the quiet hilltop. "Maybe I should ask for a raise, Celestia knows I do a good enough job."

Nightengale picked up her rifle and cleared it while she waited, stowing the remaining ammunition in a pouch on her waist. She had gotten too heavy to fly over 100 pounds ago and needed a troop carrying chariot to pick her up and get her back.

Thee sniper's large gut rumbled, signaling that she needed to get a midnight meal. The blue bat chuckled softly and gave her belly a few pats. "Don't worry girl, we'll be back and fed before you know it."
