Divine Rest Diner, a small little diner restaurant where it also a cafe is lit up by many flying lantern, with red velvet seats and wooden tables all with different patterns, there was booths for friends and family, with both an inside and outside area. Many couples would go there and either hang out or go on a simple first date for new couples, and that where The Element of Generosity; a mare with a pure white coat, her curled moderate indigo coloured mane. She looked at her date with her moderate azure colour eyes with eye shadow being light cornflower bluish grey and her cutie mark is three diamonds.
Her date, is a male pegasus that lived around Ponyville; Thunderlane. Who has been trying for months to finally get a date with Rarity, his coat is a dark magentaish grey, his mane is a light cyanish grey with lighter streaks, he stared at Rarity with his light gold colour eyes. With his cutie mark being a grey cloud with a yellow lightning bolt, The Element of Generosity wore a bored expression on her face, taking a slip from her hot coffee cup.
She blinked, Thunderlane kept going on about this and that, not even letting Rarity talk at all, her eyes began to wander, looking over to the happy couples that finally found love with their special some pony, Rarity let out a quiet sigh, listening to Thunderlane rambling on about how awesome he was, mostly making up fake stories to try and impressed the fashionista.
"So, that when the tornado was about to attack Fillydephia, me being the brave and incredibly handsome stallion that I am, flew in with a crowd of many beautiful mares cheering out my name, wanting to be my marefriend. With my lightning fast speed, I flew straight into the tornado, breaking it without even a scratch or breaking a sweat, because I just that awesome." Thunderlane said, Rarity wore a deadpan expression, blinking at the pegasus stallion.
"Riiiight, then darling...." Rarity said, unimpressed by his false story.
"After the tornado, I basely became a prince, when Princess Celestia herself came down and told me that I was the greatest hero that has ever walked Equestria." Thunderlane said, cutting Rarity off, The Element of Generosity rolled her eyes.
"Look Thunderlane..." Rarity began, the pegasus stopped his talking and puffed out his chest.
"Yes lovely, do you want to kiss the greatest hero that has ever lived?" Thunderlane asked, Rarity shake her head.
"One darling, that story is completely false, I have a friend that lives in Fillydephia and she tells me that they had never had a tornado for years. Second greatest hero? Really? You're talking to me about that, you are the type of stallions that I try and avoid. You're a lying, cheating, no good stallion that would lie and cheat to just even get a date with a mare and it's my fault that I even believe that you was at less somewhat a nice stallion." Rarity said, getting up from the table.
"Now good day to you sir." Rarity said, storming out of the Cafe, leaving everypony to look over at Thunderlane.
"She digs me." Thunderlane said, leaning back, trying to be cool.
Rarity storm through Ponyville, muttering causing ponies to look over at the upset unicorn mare, Rarity sat down on the park bench, she gave a small smile, remembering the days that she and Sweetie Belle would spread here, even knowing that she would just try and weasel out of spending of time with Sweetie Belle and work on new line of dresses.
"Hello." A female voice said, causing Rarity to let out a small scream.
Rarity looked at the pegasus mare sitting on her left giving the unicorn mare a smile. The pegasus mane is style was similar to her friend Twilight Sparkle's mane. Her mane is a brilliant shade of cerise with greyish emerald and green stripes, her coat is a pinkish grey colour. The pegasus looked at Rarity with her cornflower blue coloured eyes, with her cutie mark being a sunflower.
"Good afternoon dear." Rarity said, returning the pegasus smile, but much more focused.
"I'm Blossomforth, so what wrong, you look down in the dumps." The pegasus mare said, causing Rarity to let out a sigh.
"Rotten date." She answered, Blossomforth nodded her head.
"I bet it was Thunderlane, am I right? He's known for being one of the worst ponies to date, he been trying to get with me for a while. He never seems to give up." Blossomforth said, causing Rarity to let out a small giggle.
"Yes daring, it was him. I decided to give him a chance, thinking that he can't be worse than the likes of Blueblood and Trenderhoof." Rarity said, Blossomforth rolled her eyes.
"I know right, I have a couple of bad dates mostly with some fellow pegasi stallions. But trust me, you'll find that special some pony one day, heck maybe you already know him, but never noticed before." Blossomforth said, causing Rarity to tap her chin with her right front hoof.
"Maybe you're right darling. I might have to look closer." Rarity said, Blossomforth smiled.
"It'll happen one day." The pegasus mare said, giving off a kind smile.
"What about you daring, do you have your eyes on any handsome stallion?" Rarity asked, causing Blossomforth to let out a small sigh.
"Yes, but I don't think I'm pretty enough for him. I also believe that he loves some pony else." Blossomforth said, Rarity let out a gasp.
"That can't be true, I know with the right dress, I'll make you shine, and that dream stallion of yours will have his jaw dropped and hearts filling his eyes."
"And all for half price too..." Blossomforth blinked, "I might be the Element of Generosity, but I still have to pay the rent." Rarity finished, causing the pegasus mare to let out a giggle in her hoof.
"Thank you, Rarity." Blossomforth said.
"Anything for a friend, us girls have to stick together." The unicorn said, Blossomforth held out her hoof for a hoof bump. Rarity just chuckle and shook the pegasus mare hoof.
"We'll work on that." Blossomforth said, Rarity giggle in her hoof.
Throughout the town walked a tall male dragon, he had sharp moderate harlequin colour spikes, his scales are a light mulberry with spring budish grey underbelly and light lime green fins for ears. He looked at the flower stand with her moderate pistachio colour eyes; Spike the Dragon, have begun to grow up over the years, he now around the size of a normal stallion, but much shorter than any normal dragon that would be his age.
He still got teased by his Dragoness friend; Ember would still call him short stuff or pipsqueak, knowing that it annoyed Spike. Who give off a pout and mutter something under his breath.
"Can I help you?" A female voice broke Spike out of his thoughts.
The earth pony mare with her very pale-yellow coat stared at the male dragon with her pale, light grayish chartreuse green colour eyes. Her mane is a moderate raspberry with light raspberry streaks; Roseluck with a rose for her cutie mark, Spike gave a small smile.
"Sorry, Roseluck, just lost in thought. Can I get some Marigold and Asters please?" Spike said, Roseluck gave off a sly smile.
"Planning a gift for you marefriend, did Rarity finally say yes to a date?" Roseluck asked, Spike let out a sigh, hearing the name of his old flame.
"Sadly, that ship has sailed, my dear friend. But I did decide to buy some flowers for her, just to be nice." The male dragon said, Roseluck gave him a smile.
"Well good luck with your new love interest Spike, the flowers are ten bits." The earth pony mare said, Spike gave her a smile and gave her a small pile of bits.
"Thanks, Roseluck, have a great day!" Spike said, taking his flowers.
The male dragon walked through the town many of ponies gave him a wave, Spike finally arrived at The Carousel Boutique. He let out a small cry, seeing Rarity and Blossomforth together, the two mares sat on the couch drinking tea. Rarity turn over to see the tall handsome dragon.
"Oh, hello there Spike. This is my new friend Blossomforth." Rarity said, Blossomforth gave him a wave.
"It's nice to see you again Spike." Blossomforth said, with a light blush on her cheeks.
"Hello Blossom..." Spike said his voice nervous and his foot moving in a small circle.
Rarity blinked, looking between the pegasus mare and the male dragon. A scheme began to form in her head, giving off a sly smile, Spike noticed Rarity's grin, he let a small laugh.
"I got a little something for both of yours, for Blossom some Asters and for you Rarity some Marigold." Spike said, giving the two ladies the flowers.
Both Rarity and Blossomforth both blushed at Spike. Rarity felt her heart beating a little bit faster, the unicorn mare watched Blossomforth hugging Spike. Rarity looked at the flowers that she held in her two front hooves. Spike had always been there for her, a shoulder for her to cry onto.
She glared at Blossomforth and Spike, the pegasus with the male dragon, with her Spikey Wikey. Blossomforth laughing in her hoof at Spike's cheesy jokes, the male dragon had his wing wrapped around the pegasus mare, Rarity couldn't help, but glare with jealous over at Blossomforth.
'Oh, it. Is. ON!' Rarity thought,
"Spikey could you be a dear and run up to my room and get all the dresses with more than a thousand-thread count." Rarity said, batting her eyelashes, knowing the male dragon would be up there for a while.
"You see, Blossomforth. Spikey Wikey is mine, and he's not on the market. I might be The Element of Generosity, but there's a line in the sand." Rarity said.
The two mares glare at each other, hearing Spike coming down the stairs, he saw the two smiling at each other, with a tea cup in either of their hooves. Spike gave both of the mares a smile, sitting down next to Blossomforth, the pegasus mare gave off a proud smirk towards Rarity, who dropped her smile.
"So, Spikey..." Blossomforth said, causing Spike break away from her.
"Sorry Blossom, but only one pony can call me Spikey and that's Rarity." Spike said, making Rarity puff out her chest and have this cocky expression on her face.
Blossomforth gave a small pout, glaring at Rarity.
"Well girls, I need to go, since Hearts and Hooves Day is coming up soon and I need to find a date." Spike said, leaving The Carousel Boutique and the two mares alone, Blossomforth and Rarity glared at each other.
"Whomever gets a date with Spike on Hearts and Hooves Day gets to be with him, deal?" Rarity asked, holding out her hoof.
"Deal." Blossomforth said, shaking Rarity's hoof.
"May the best mare win." Rarity said, staring at the pegasus mare.
"Do worry, I will." Blossomforth said, with a cocky smirk, causing Rarity to let out a huff.
"You're going down. Down, down, down." Rarity said
The next day was quite unique, well Spike thought that it would just be a normal day, with him going shopping for Twilight and Starlight, now walking on his right was Rarity and on his left flying is Blossomforth. The two mares kept cutting each other off, whenever Blossomforth pulled on Spike's arm to get him closer to her, Rarity would just light up her horn and pull the male dragon closer to her.
Spike just blinked, looking at the two mares fighting over him, it made Spike laugh inside seeing how fast Rarity is losing her cool over Blossomforth, he let out a sigh.
"Girls!" He cried out, causing the two mares to stop and look at him.
"What's going on? If you're keep pulling on my arms, I might not have any arms left." Spike said, Blossomforth and Rarity got wore guilty expressions.
"Sorry Spike, it just well we're fighting over which one gets to date you." Blossomforth said, causing Spike to rub his head.
"It's Blossomforth," he answered, causing Rarity's jaw to drop.
"Sorry Rarity, I did love you, you were the light of my life... But, you never shown any interest in me, I still and I will forever love you, but there's has to be a point for me to move on." Spike said, Blossomforth watched over the two and muttered something under her breath, letting out a sigh of defeat.
She knew the way how Spike looked at Rarity, the Element of Generosity would forever keep the male dragon love.
She let out a deep breath. "Ha, I can't believe I won, see I only did this for a bet that I made with my friend. I always did wonder if I could get with the monster of Ponyville." Blossomforth said, Rarity just looked confused.
"Did you really think that I love you Spike, please. That's the last thing on my mind." Blossomforth said
Spike couldn’t find any words, feeling his heart breaking into tiny pieces, Blossomforth glare at him with a cold icy look in her eye, causing the heart broken male dragon to run away.
Blossomforth looked over at Rarity. "Go get him, you two belong to each other. I know I ruin my chances, but just treat him right."
"Thank you" Rarity said, giving off a small smile.
"Go, go, go! The dragon of your dreams is waiting for his one true love to make him feel all better." Blossomforth said, giving a wink to Rarity before she flew into the bright blue sky.
Rarity walked towards the Castle of Friendship, slowly open the doors, she saw Spike smashing his head against the wall, while he kept calling himself stupid repeatedly. Rarity put her hoof on his arm, the male dragon turn over to The Element of Generosity.
Rarity gave him a smile, "Don't worry Spikey Wikey, you'll find the right girl sooner or later."
"But, no pony would want to date a dumb dragon." Spike said, Rarity rolled her eyes.
The unicorn mare pulled the male dragon into a kiss, Spike felt her soft lips pressing against his scaly ones. He was finally kissing the mare that he had a crush over for the longest time. He slowly closed his eyes and pulled Rarity closer to him, the kiss felt great, when they broke apart, Rarity couldn't find any words and let out mutters and stutters even making up some words.
"Rarity would you like to go out with me?" Spike asked, causing Rarity to nod her head with a large smile on her face, Spike pulling her into another kiss.
“I’ll love too.”
With the start of a beautiful relationship with each other, Spike held The Element of Generosity close to him.
