The Unknown King

Xion

As we were in flight, I headed to the training room, well, I call it a training room, it was more an exercise room, but it had a computer in it. As I plugged the data into the computer, a door similar to the ones in Hollow Bastion appeared with a keyblade. “Weird. I didn’t choose one yet and Roxas’ door has two on them,” I said as I entered. Once I was inside I saw I was on the clock tower in Twilight Town. “Whoa!” I said as I grabbed the wall.

“Don’t like heights?” a familiar voice said.

As I looked away from the wall I saw a girl sitting on the edge of the tower eating ice cream “Xion?” I asked.

“Your the only person who remembers me.” she said before asking “Why? We’ve never met.”

“Are you really ready for the answer?” I asked.

“I already know the answer.” she said taking a bite out her ice cream.”I’m just a game character.” she said.

“Wait how do you know that?” I asked.

“I’ve been hanging around in your head for the past week,” she said as she was about to say something else.

“Wait, a week? Then that means Sora’s awake.” I said.

“Rude,” she said. “Also, right. You probably just missed him.” She said.

“Well, at least I know when I am, so Hakuna Matata,” I said as Xion giggled.

“What a wonderful phrase,” She said.

“Hakuna matata. Ain't no passing craze!” I sang.

“Why are you singing?” Xion asked.

“I thought we were going to start singing the song,” I said.

“What song?” Xion asked.

“Nevermind,” I said.

“Anyway, want to have a seat?”  She said offering me some ice cream.

I walked to where she was and took a seat on the clock tower. “Well I might as well move to be closer to you,” She said, getting up and moving to the area behind the edge of the tower. “Better?” she asked

“Yeah thanks,” I said as she handed me some ice cream.

“So... what now? I mean, how are you here?”

“I can only exist if somebody remembers me-” She started as I cut her off.

“Wait you're not going to erase my memories of one my favorite games?” I asked.

“Would you stop cutting me off?” she said.

“Sorry.”

“Anyway as I was saying I can only exist if someone remembers me so I have a deal for you,” she said as I kept quiet waiting to see if she was done, “I’m done you can speak now.”

“Alright, what's this offer?” I asked.

“You’re going to fight the data organization. I can help you with that,” she said.

“What, you're going to give me your keyblade?” I asked as she shook her head.

“No, I gave that to Roxas,” she answered, “What I can give you is the power to copy powers from each of the data members.”

“Okay… then, what happens to you?” I asked.

“I stay in your mind, either in the back or in the front, depending on the situation,” she said as the world started to disappear.

I was back in the training room. I looked at where the door was and asked myself, “was that real?”

‘Yes it was’ the voice of Xion said as I was startled by it.

“Whoa!” I said. “Okay, then which one should I go for?” I asked.

‘Zexion’ Xion said ‘he can create Illusions so we can talk face to face without using the room.’

“Alright then,” I said, choosing Zexion’s data and waiting for the door to appear.

First fight

I stood on the ruins of Destiny Island as Data Zexion appeared. He opened his book as pages started turning and laughed before his book flashed green. I rushed him smacking him a few times before his book turned green and trapped me in the book world.

Inside the book world, I was being assaulted by books while at the same time he would appear, looking like a silhouette as he cast spells at me and smacked me around with pages. It took some doing, and a lot of paper cuts, but I got out of the book world. Immediately after I got out he tried trapping me again, this time I managed to stay out of its way until it stopped. Taking the opportunity I went out fast and hard against Zexion, the simulation taking some damage before it began to retaliate.

Three large books appeared, all turning green. “Crap!” I yelped, one catching me as I was in the book world again, Zexion hiding as one of many books floating around, and attacking me. I hit the wrong one, thinking it was him and paid for it by having the other books attack me.

Slightly disoriented now, I didn’t bother thinking when I attacked, hitting the wrong book as pages and other fake books went at me, hitting harder than before it felt. The last thing I saw before I blacked out was that Silhouette of Zexion staring at me as I was attacked. Swear it was smiling.

I woke up outside the data battles ‘door’. “Damn it…” I grumble.

Fifth fight

After a rest, I went back into the battle, this time trying my damnedest to avoid that book spell thing but it was following me like a shadow. I managed to avoid it a fair amount, landing hits when I could. Sadly, it was not permanent, I was sucked into the Book World. I had to play this part smart. I looked at all the books, knowing if I don’t pick something to his fast I’ll get his, and if hit the wrong one I’ll bet bombarded. There has to be a way tell the real one apart from the fakes. Taking a quick glance at them all, trying to differentiate them, I swear one of them...no, just my head, they’re all alike. Damn it!

It was then that they began to attack me for taking too long. I then saw the one Zexion was hiding in, his Silhouette hiding as the lights of the arena flashed...wait… I looked at the floor, the lights flashing and...one shadow! Only the real book has one! Oh I got you now you SOB. I dodged as much of the next attack as I could before the lights flashed, the real book being revealed as I began attacking it, and was let out. Once out of the Book World, I began hitting him hard.

He sucked me back into the Book World, but I was ready, waiting for the lights to flash, and when they did, I charged, attacking the real one relentlessly until I was thrown out, and returned to attack him in the real arena. That was until he used his book to swipe me away, making it grow three times larger and slamming it on me several times before I blacked out.

Again, I woke up outside the data battle door. “Damn it…” I grumble. “Again.”

Tenth fight

Okay, TENTH time’s the charm! After this, I beat this thing I am taking a me day.

I entered the battle again, this time not bothering to avoid the Book World anymore now that I’ve got that pain in the ass figured out and near routine. The battle began and I rushed, landing a quick combo then dodging his green spell to drag me into his book world. With that dodged I landed a few more combos before he began backing up, and dragged me into his book world. I found the real book easy, but then it turned green, trapping me inside another book as pages ripped and shredded, and it HURT! With difficulty, I got out, feeling like a truck hitting me would have been WAY less painful. Books began assaulting me, and I dodged quick, blocking what I could and dodging the rest. I managed to get out, and whales on him quickly, not giving him an edge as I attacked him without letting up.

Finally, he began backing up, but I ran quick, landing in a few more good Combos before I was sucked into his book world. It was then that he trapped me in another book as it began shredding itself/me, everything going black after that again.

I woke up outside the simulation door again. “...I hate this bastard soooo much…”

Final fight

I was ready, I spent the good amount of a few hours practicing, and with Xion’s help, learned about his moves from her time in the organization, she even thought me something. Something that is gonna come in very handy. Strike Raid. Learning that move is what took me the majority of the day, but, it was worth it.

Finally, I entered the simulation, and when Zexion appeared, I started off with a Strike Raid, and once my Keyblade was back with me, I went in with a combo, and he dragged me into his book world. Having been here so often, I made quick work of this, exiting not long after I endured. Back out in the real arena, I landed a combo, then another, and another before he started backing up. I threw a Strike raid and got in close to land another few hits.

He started up his pull into the book world but being so close, somehow, I managed to dance around its effect and when it ended, I went in quick, Zexion taking many hits as I went at him without mercy. He dragged me into his book world again and turned me into a book, something I managed to escape, hurting, but escaped, and found the book where he was in fast. I Got out of that book world and once we were across from one another again, I threw several Strike Raids before rushing in and hitting him hard with a combo.

He rushed back, fast. “Like hell!” I shouted, throwing one more Strike Raid at him and when it hit, he froze. “Wait, huh?” I said, my Keyblade returning as he unfroze, looking at me then taking the pose he takes when he first spawns in as code and lights surrounded him and he vanished. “I...won...FINALLY!”

I blinked, finding myself outside his arena door, it now red rather than blue, and I was...holding something? I looked and in my right hand was a blue crystal shaped kinda like a star.

‘That’s a Lost Illusion, a very rare and strong item for Synthesising the weapons we used back when I was in the Organization.’ Xion explained.

“Oh...Cool.” I said as a book appeared in my hands.

‘That's Zexion’s book you can use it as a journal.’ She said.

“And the illusions?” I asked.

‘That you need to focus on-’ She was interrupted by the ships speaker.

“Captain you're needed on deck.” Jet Flash said.

“Well, we better see what's going on,” I said.

Inside the cockpit, we were looking at the world we came across a world with a giant T shaped tower and immediately I recognized it as the Titans tower from Teen Titans. “Moondancer and Gleaming get ready we're going down there,” I said.

Jet Flash asked, “What if Xulna’s not there we could be wasting our time.”

“It's a good thing to check because even if she’s not there, we could get stronger and have more of a chance when we do find her,” I said.
