//------------------------------// // Spark of War: Part 3 // Story: PBB: SuperFolder Ghostbuster (Book the First) // by AntiBronyBenSwolo //------------------------------// "Ember Almond, could you be a dear and wait here for a second? I gotta do something in here real quick." Fluttershy asked SuperFolder once they reached a building that looked like a witch was hunting Hansel and Gretel. Ghostbuster nodded and waited outside a few feet away from the door. Now that he was finally alone, he decided to call upon his team for backup. He just needed enough time, and by the looks of it, time he indeed had. "Darkdragon, do you copy? I repeat, do you copy? This is SuperFolder Ghostbuster. Come in Darkdragon". The sneaky Jedi said into a black and yellow watch he smuggled on what used to be his wrist. At first, Ghostbuster heard nothing but static, but soon enough, a voice familiar to SuperFolder came through the watch. "This is Darkdragon. What is it Ghostbuster?" Darkdragon replied all the way from another universe. Ghostbuster breathed a sigh of relief as he was planning his escape. "My scouting mission has been compromised. I've been transported in a universe that I have...a past with...and now I need to get out." Ghostbuster said into the watch, still making sure nobody is listening in on the interdimensional adventurer's conversation. "What happened to the portal?" Darkdragon asked Ghostbuster. It was a shock none of them hasn't thought of that yet. "Gah! Sweet mother of Shmi Skywalker! I left it back at her house." Ghostbuster said, facepalming at his own forgetfulness and failure. He just needed to find a way to get his stuff back without anyone figuring out his dark past. "Wait, who's 'she'?" Darkdragon asked, as the front door to the building slowly creaked open. Ghostbuster's heart raced as he had to come up with a plan. "No time for that. Prepare your TARDIS and meet me at these coordinates at 0500 minutes! SuperFolder Ghostbuster out!" the jedi said, as he ended the call and hid his watch. Fluttershy peered out the window, seeing Ghostbuster with a slightly guilty smile on his face, which she did not mind. He had nothing to hide in her eyes. "We're ready for you to come in now." Fluttershy said as she lead him inside the building. Fluttershy had SuperFolder close his eyes for a few second, and in those few second, Ghostbuster could hear someone whispering. He wasn't sure if it was Fluttershy or not. Whoever it was, however, was counting down. "5...4...3...2...1..." the mysterious pony whispered, until they stopped "...We're ready." Someone proclaimed. Ghostbuster thought it was Fluttershy, but this was more of a cheery and outgoing voice rather than the shy and timid pegasus Ghostbuster was rescued by in the Forest. Ghostbuster, on cue, opened his eyes and was surprised by all of Fluttershy's friends, throwing a surprise party for the undercover knight. Even some ponies Ghostbuster never met were attending the party. Many emotions flooded Ghostbuster on that moment, most of them the Jedi Order would not let him feel. Fear, concern, and insecurity most of all. "What do you think?" Fluttershy asked. She was only doing the best she could to befriend him after all, so Ghostbuster decided to sugarcoat his honest opinions so he wouldn't hurt anyone. "I'm surprised you did all this for me, and I really am grateful, but I must be honest; I was only here to visit. I don't have enough time, so I must get going." Ghostbuster announced. Half of the ponies were disappointed to hear that, while the other half understood him, and carried the party on. "If it makes you feel better, I'll go get your stuff from Fluttershy's cabin. She told me where it is." a familiar purple pony offered Ghostbuster. "Oh no, I'll get it myself. Thanks for the offer though Twinkle." Ghostbuster said, trying to remember her name while not trying to blow his cover. He didn't want her to find out his Jedi abilities. "It's Twilight, actually. And don't worry, your stuff is in good hooves. I'm doing this mainly because Pinkie wants you to stay for presents." Twilight responded. Ghostbuster blushed with embarrassment at getting her name wrong for a moment. Then, a pile of presents, enough to build a cardboard house for a child, was carried by Pinkie Pie over to SuperFolder with nothing but a smile on her face. "OPEN MINE FIRST PLEASE!!!" Pinkie hesitantly said to the Jedi while bouncing like a toy tiger from a children's book. Twilight Sparkle got to Fluttershy's cottage from a long walk. She could have just used her wings, but she decided to take the change and exercise a bit by hiking there. Once she got to the small home, Twilight searched the house for Ghostbuster's stuff. Fluttershy told her that she placed them near the bedroom, so that's where she looked. As she found it, she saw some strange items in there. Twilight examined Ghostbuster's equipment and saw a strange device glowing green in some areas, a smooth metal helmet slightly damaged in the left eye region, and a gunmetal gray cylinder with odd detailing on it. Twilight thought she read something about this some time ago and went to her library to find out what it was that caused her mind to wander off from her task. In her studies, she learned of a powerful date that took place 15 years ago, and is known only to Princess Celestia and anyone she allows to know. On that day, Princess Celestia tried to colonize another universe through a certain galaxy. The galaxy in question was in a civil war known as the "Clone Wars". Celestia tried to wage war on this entire galaxy and bring it to her rule, destroying fear and hate with her might. She was defeated, however, by a boy weilding a sword of blue magic leading an army of white-armored soldiers. The boy, to Twilight's discovery, was SuperFolder Ghostbuster. Twilight could not believe what she was reading. He had to be brought to justice for his crimes. Meanwhile, back at the party, Ghostbuster was pleased with his gifts and thanked each pony who gave them to him. As he assumed Twilight had returned with his items, Ghostbuster turned around and packed his gifts. "I thank you all for the pleasant stay. Better than I expected to be honest. I bid you ponies adeu." Ghostbuster said as he opened the door to find Twilight with a satchel with his things inside it. Twilight also had a small band of royal guards behind her, and a face filled with rage. Twilight and the guards blocked the exits to prevent Ghostbuster from escaping, and Twilight used this as an opportune time to expose him. "Mares and Colts of Ponyville! This young stallion is not what you think he is!" Twilight announced. Fluttershy was confused. She wondered why there would be royal guards everywhere. She hadn't seen this many since she accidentally stole Celestia's pet phoenix. Ghostbuster stared back at Twilights aggressive stance. He could tell she already found out. "This stallion is the Jedi Fiend known as SuperFolder Ghostbuster!!!" Twilight bellowed out into the crowd. Every one of the ponies whispered and murmured in confusion. "Twilight, you're the bookworm, not us! How do you know any of this? What even is a Jedi?" Pinkie Pie asked, voicing everyone else in the crowd. Ghostbuster tried to answer the mare's answer, but was hit in the head and knocked on the ground with the back of a royal guard's spear. "Quiet you! Let the princess give her answer!" The guard ordered to the Jedi as more guards came to cuff him by the hoofs. "Thank you sirs." Twilight said, giving a cheery smile and nod to the guard, approving his action of silencing the Jedi. "Anyway, a Jedi is a dangerous being. They've been known to use magic without a unicorn horn, use swords of colored fire, and manipulate unsuspecting victims into becoming tools." Twilight continued with her explanation. Her words shook some concerns in most of the ponies, mostly Fluttershy. Fluttershy walked up to Ghostbuster, chained up and ready to be taken aboard a prison cart. Her heart heavy with lies. He had no reason to lie to her at all, did he? Fluttershy gathered her thoughts and feelings and confronted the orange pony. "Is it true?" Fluttershy asked him. SuperFolder knew he couldn't keep his secret a well hidden one anytime soon. "I confess that I have deceived you about my identity" Ghostbuster told Fluttershy, finally letting himself be honest "But I promise I'm not the only one deceiving you." Ghostbuster continued, glaring at Twilight. Fluttershy glared back at Twilight, and then back at Ghostbuster with a silver tear in her eye. "I'm sorry." Ghostbuster said, letting his head down. Then, suddenly, he felt something he never thought he'd feel from anyone after confessing to a crime. Fluttershy, who Ghostbuster had lied to, was hugging him. She didn't care if he was a Jedi or not, Ghostbuster will still be a good friend to him in the future. The guards then hauled Ghostbuster onto the cart, putting an end to Fluttershy's moment with him. As the cart was headed to Canterlot for a trial, Ghostbuster, who only had a back cart window for a source of light, shed out a single tear and let it land on the cold metal chains and the wooden floors of the cart.
