The Reborn Disruption

Chapter One

“Once upon a time, there was peace, there was balance, until one day a forged truth was broken. The one who broke the truth was none other than the god of chaos himself.”

I could still remember the very day that equis crumbled underneath the force of Discord. There I was like any other day lecturing my students on astronomy within the halls of school for gifted unicorns when all of a sudden in the distance a loud explosion erupted outside causing me to quickly address my students to remain calm while making my way toward the window to see what the commotion was and what I saw frightened me to the very core.

Within the distance I could see the royal sisters castle crumbling piece by piece while I just stood there not even having the courage to look away and soon afterward a thunderous sound boomed across canterlot. The next thing that followed was the voice of discord addressing everypony saying that the royal sisters have been ruling for far to long and that it was time for another to take the throne. He then added who other than himself.

He continued on saying that if we thought the elements were going to stop him then we were dead wrong since the only element still around was the princess “twilight sparkle,” with no other ponies wielding the others and soon afterward he followed up with the royal sisters being encased in stone telling us he never did forgive them for sealing him away, so why not let them have a taste of their own medicine. Judgement day is upon you my little ponies and you must decide to either follow your new ruler or suffer dire consequences.

I quickly snapped out of my fear and quickly spun around seeing each of my students cowering underneath there desk. My heart sunk seeing my students in such states. I strengthened my resolve as a teacher telling myself that I need to take it upon myself to see that my students in my care get out of canterlot unharmed. I soon addressed them to gather whatever they needed and to quickly make there way toward the door.

Once everypony was done I directed them to make their way toward the cafeteria. I made my way toward my desk and started to gather items along with my hunter axe sealed away in a safe. Doing a quick look over the axe memories started to swirl around my mind reminding me of my service so long ago to the lunar republic then I left everything behind before my mind could dive deeper one of my students snapped me out. Strapping my axe upon my back I trotted hastily to the cafeteria.

When we arrived I directed the students to grab as much food as possible that they could carry in their saddlebags. Once they were gathering edibles I trotted near a table then pulled out a map of equis along with a marker marking down possible places that the god of chaos would likely overlook. Hm, no, no, no, definitely not. Well buck the only place near would be the old abandoned crystal harvest mines located within the foal mountain. I doubt he would know something about, since it was never reported on any records and it was not really anything significant enough for anypony to cover; of course though the journey to get there will be rather brutal also I’m not quite sure if the trails letting there are still functional or if they have been loss to time.

Muttering toward myself I felt a simple tap on my back bringing me back toward reality. When I turned around I seen everypony’s saddlebag filled to the brim with food to the point that the latch on the bag was barely even able to strap their latch together. I simply nodded approvingly to everypony and give them a brief rundown on where we will be heading off of course most of my students didn’t feel comfortable with my plan and telling me why not go somewhere more addressable or another town. I explained that it will be only a matter of time before discord would attack the other cities and villages around equestria and that if we even wanted a chance to get through this the best option would be to go off the grid in a place where he would not bother to give a second glance toward.

I let out a sigh and told them if they wanted to take the chance then the doors right there or you can follow me. I’m not forcing any of you to follow me it’s your choice in the end of what you do, but if you do choose to go with me then I must warn you that it’s not going to be a walk in the park and we might run into danger, but I promise you that I will do my utmost best to protect you to see that you make it through. Now if you’ll excuse me I have a long hike ahead of me if I even want to get someplace safe before discord starts branching out farther. I hope you all the best of luck and may luna’s starry night protect you along your path you decide walk.

Making my way out I heard some of my students wishing me the best of luck also and making there way out toward the other side of the cafeteria. When I finally left the cafeteria I stood a minute or two before turning around to see how much of my students decided to follow. To my surprise I seen that half of my class of eighteen were standing ready to head out.

"Were all in agreement to happily follow you Professor Vision and your right on your thinking that the god of chaos wouldn't stop in just taking canterlot, but all of equestria along with equis. Hopefully princess twilight sparkle and mi amore cadenza will put a stop to him before then."

Smiling a bit toward my students for choosing to follow me I simply wiped a tear and said lets head out.

" I do hope they do." I said under my breath.
