Twilight and Velvet sat at the dining table eating their dinner. Velvet took a sip of water out of her cup and giggled as Twilight stuffed her face with food “You must be hungry, have you been eating well?” Velvet ask with slight concern in her voice.
Twilight nodded “Yeah, I just love your cooking is all.” She stuffed more food in her mouth.
Velvet continued eating “Twilight, if you have something that’s bothering you, just tell me. I’ll always be there to help you.” Twilight froze in place as she swallowed her and licked the sauce off her lips “We-Well, you see…” They both looked at each other.
Twilight swallowed a throatful of air nervously “I-I-I” Velvet looked at her waiting for Twilight to say something. “I just really missed you.” Twilight said as she finished her food and got up off her chair.
“Thank you for dinner.” Twilight grabbed her plate and walked over to the kitchen to clean it.
Velvet sat there, she knew that there was just more than just missing her. She clenched her fork, something was wrong with her child and she wanted to know!
After cleaning her dishes and putting them away, Twilight quickly walked over to her room and closed the door locking it. Twilight stood there breathing heavily clenching her chest, before she walked over to her bed and laid down on it. After a few minutes she calm down and huffed. “I’m such a pathetic person, I can’t even tell my own mother what I am.” Twilight curled up in a ball before using her magic to turn the lights off.
Velvet stood at Twilight’s bedroom door, she had noticed that the lights were off but she was speculating whether or not she should not. She sighed after a full 5 minutes and walked away into her room to head to bed.
The two laid down in their own bed thinking, an hour goes by and they both fall asleep. The moonlight glowed bright slightly illuminating their rooms through the windows.
Twilight opened her eyes and was in a dark yet beautiful forest, Twilight looked up to her right and saw Luna standing over her smiling. “Need to talk?” Luna helped Twilight up and cupped her face “You okay?”
Twilight pouted and shook her head “No, I couldn’t get the words out.” She buried her face into Luna’s chest and groaned.
Luna chuckled and stroked Twilight’s hair “I can always help you know.” Twilight shook her head.
Luna lifted Twilight’s head “I know it’s hard Twilight, but I know that you can do it. Now say it with me, the simple 5 words.” Twilight sighed and nodded her head as they both said it.
“Mother, I’m a transgender male.”
Luna smiled at Twilight who cracked a smiled back “Now tomorrow morning, say it. Or no smooches for a week.” Luna said as she booped Twilight's nose.
Twilight huffed angrily. “It’s not easy you know, saying that I prefer being a male to your own parent is scary. What if she just decides to hate me or even worse, disown me!” Tears welled up in Twilight’s eyes before she buried her face into Luna’s chest again.
Luna stroked Twilight’s hair “That won’t happen, we’ll always be here for you.” She lifted Twilight’s head up and kissed her forehead “I promise you.”
Twilight sniffled and wiped away her tears “Okay, I believe you. Can I dream now? I could use some junk food.”
Luna raised a brow before smirking “Okay, but this time it’s my choice on what you’re eating.” Twilight blushed heavily as Luna kissed her and pinned Twilight to the ground.
Hours went by and the sun slowly rise as the moon slowly lowers. Velvet is in the kitchen making breakfast and Twilight walks out of her room looking like a mess. Twilight looked over at her mother who was cooking and decided to go to the bathroom to take a shower.
After a few minutes go by Velvet places two plates of scrambled eggs and toast on the table with two cups of orange juice. Twilight walked out of the bathroom, her hair still slightly wet and she sat down at the table with her mother. “Morning” Velvet said as she began eating her food.
“Morning, mother.” Twilight began stuffing her face with food. Twilight soon looked up and noticed the concerned look on her mother’s face, Twilight swallowed her food and took a sip of her drink. “Anything wrong?” Twilight already knew what was wrong but she still asked.
Velvet placed her knife and fork down “Twilight, there’s something wrong with you and you’re not telling me.” She stood up “Please tell me what’s wrong, Twilight.”
Twilight went pale and bit her bottom lip before looking down at her food “I-It’s very complicated to say.” She looked at her mother “M-Mum, I-I-I” She clenched her fist as her chest tightened.
Velvet leaned in close. Twilight swallowed a throatful of air and exhaled before Twilight stood up “Mother, I’m a transgender male.” Velvet eyes widen and Twilight continued “I don’t like being a girl, I prefer being the opposite gender.” Twilight gasped and panted heavily.
Twilight looked at her mother, her chest tightening even more with anxiety and tears almost welled as Velvet looked back at her. Velvet quickly shook her head and cupped her chin “Yo-You’re a transgender male?” Twilight slowly nodded.
Velvet sat back down and thought for a moment. Twilight was taken a back a bit as Velvet bursted out laughing.
“And here I thought that you did something illegal.” Velvet soon calmed down and smiled softly at Twilight “Why didn’t you tell me sooner?”
Twilight’s chest untightened “I-I thought that you’d hate me for it.” Velvet stood up and walked over to Twilight, she hugged Twilight tight “You don’t hate me?” Twilight asked.
Velvet looked at Twilight and gave her a motherly smile “I wouldn’t care whether you were a demon, you are still my child. You are still my son.”
Twilight smiled softly as he started crying and hugged his mother tight “Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!”
He sobbed into her chest as Velvet stroked Twilight’s hair. “I’ll never hate you.”
After an hour goes by the two sat on the couch in the lounge room chatting while eating from a bowl of candy. “So when did you find out that you wanted to be a male?” Velvet asked as she got a candy from the bowl.
“Well I found out I was one a few months ago, I found a person who was one and so I did research on it, that’s when I found out I was one.” Twilight said as he got a handful of candy from the bowl and ate it. “I did tell the princesses about it and even Spike, they were very supportive about it.”
Velvet raised a brow and smiled “That explains why Spike wanted me to talk to you so badly, so glad that he’s supportive. He’s such a wonderful son.” She giggled as Twilight frowned “Spike would secretly visit me and didn’t want you to know since we all know how jealous you get of mamma's love.”
Twilight pouted but she was right, fighting over Velvet’s motherly love was always the case for Spike and Twilight, but they would always get the equal love from her. “Well you’re not wrong, at all.”
Speaking of Spike, Spike and Luna walked into the house. “Hey bro, how are you?”
Velvet quickly turned her head and ran over to Spike “Spike!” She hugged him tight. Spike had grown fairly tall ever since he turned 17, even taller than Princess Luna.
“What are you two doing here?” Twilight said as he walked up to them. "Did you miss me already?"
Luna crossed her arms “We just wanted to visit you two, my sister couldn’t come because of a royal meeting that only required her.” Luna walked up to Twilight and wrapped an arm around her.
Velvet let go of Spike and kissed his cheek “I now know why you were so insistent of us talking to each other.”
Spike smiled and chuckled “A mother’s reaction is always important, most times of course.”
Velvet giggled “Well I’m glad that Twilight came out of the closet, twice.” The three bursted out laughing, except for Twilight who just pouted and crossed his arms.
“Okay okay. Why are you two really here?” Twilight said with a raised brow.
Luna smiled “We just wanted to congratulate you for becoming a man. Well sorta but you know what I mean.” She got out a plastic bag “I also got that testosterone stuff you wanted but forgot to get, enjoy.” She giggled as Twilight’s eyes sparkled and he took the bag.
Twilight hugged Luna tight “Thank you! Luckily you found the prescription the doctor gave me.”
Luna flipped her hair back “What can I say, what will you be without me?”
Spike snickered “Probably the same.” Luna huffed and looked at Spike with a frown in which Spike just responded with a chuckled.
“Well, now that we’re here. How about we go out for some lunch, Luna’s treat of course.” Velvet said as she clapped her hands together.
“I’ll get changed.” Twilight said as he ran to his room and closed the door to get changed.
“I’ll follow you.” Luna said as she walked towards Twilight’s room, but she was stopped by Velvet grabbing her ear.
“You may be a princess, but you aren’t doing any funny business with my son. Not when I’m around of course.” Velvet gave Luna a death glare that sent a chill down Luna;s spine.
Luna nodded in pain as Velvet tugged on her ear “Yes, ma’am.” Spike tried his best to hold in his laughter.
Velvet smiled “Good.”
