PBB: SuperFolder Ghostbuster (Book the First)

Spark of War: Part 1

A long time ago, in a multiverse of unlimited possibilities...

It is a time of great distraught. The Jedi Order has been vanquished, with very little survivors to be heard of. One such survivor, a padawan named SuperFolder Ghostbuster, has harnessed the powers of the multiverse and escaped in another universe 15 years into the future. In his newfound exile, he befriended a Time Lord crime fighter named Darkdragon, and together, they built an interdimensional device to help travel the mysteries and dangers of the multiverse. With this newfound power, Ghostbuster, along with Darkdragon, a wizard named XQ3D, a cow named Cow Lantern, a rogue swordsman named Count Zora, and a lovable Symbiote, have founded one of the most powerful organizations yet to be revealed to potential enemies: The Pretty Brainless Businessmen. Ghostbuster thought creating the PBB along with his new allies would prove to be the end of his worries. But he was wrong, as his problems were just the beginning...

As Ghostbuster was preparing a portal to another universe, one which he set to random, he sensed a disturbance in the Force. Could it be that he sensed the one who destroyed the Jedi Order, and the young Jedi was gonna go fight him? Or was it something much...much worse. There was only one way to find out. Ghostbuster walked through the portal and saw flashes of a memory, blocking him from what he walked into, until he realized where he ended up: Equestria. Ghostbuster flashed back over and over to a battle that the Galactic Republic had with Equestria back in the Clone Wars. He remembered that he almost died in that battle. He remembered how many clones died in that battle. He remembered that he was cursed. Cursed to never use the Force in Equestria as a pony.

As he examined himself, he saw that his human form was transformed into that of his old enemy. He changed into a colt with an orange coat, a black mane and short tail, and his iconic Origami Yoda symbol was strangely placed on his butt (he had yet to figure out why). Then he realized that if a pony were to spot Ghostbuster roaming around Equestria freely, he would have been arrested on the spot. The young Jedi ran into a nearby forest, anticipating another exile away from the ponies and into escape yet again. As he galloped into safety, he tripped over a tree root and fell unconscious afterwords. Later, a large looming shadow hung over the old padawan's inhumanized body as he was being dragged away by a mysterious figure.

When he woke up, he found himself in a bed with huge green blankets, soft plush pillows, and a screeching rabbit right next to him. As much as Ghostbuster wanted the strange rabbit to shut up so he couldn't get arrested, he couldn't. He might as well just sit there and wait for the authorities to show up and arrest him right then and there. As the door opened, SuperFolder expected loud booming voices of royal guards abusing the poor Jedi, but instead, he heard the soft gentle voice of a girl, no, a mare.

"Ummm....Are you okay?" the voice said to Ghostbuster as he saw a mare with a yellow coat, a long pink mane and matching tail, and two wings.

"It depends" Ghostbuster said, unsure about what to say. This confused the mare, and caused a bit of worry in Ghostbuster, as all he wanted was to have nothing to do with the ponies.

"I..uhh...thank you for your hospitality, but I have to get going." Ghostbuster said as he tried to walk away, but wasn't able to, due to not being used to four legs instead of two, as well as being passed out cold for who knows how long. Any attempt at walking away failed as he was stuck sitting on the bed. The mare then helped Ghostbuster up.

"I didn't....uhhh...how silly of me...I didn't catch what the name was,." the mare asked politely and quietly, but still curious enough. Ghostbuster was then sheepish to answer what his name was, as he feared her potential fear of Jedi. Then he noticed she didn't recognize him on the spot as "SuperFolder Ghostbuster". And if she doesn't know, then maybe there are very few ponies who know of his true identity. Ghostbuster then decided to make a fake alias for himself.

"Oh. My apologies for not introducing myself. My name is Ember Almond" the sneaky Jedi lied as she believed him.

The mare let out a small giggle "Well, nice to meet you Ember Almond. I'm Fluttershy". Ghostbuster then made a daring attempt to get back up on his...hooves...and tried to get back into the woods where he believed he could finally escape, until Fluttershy stopped him in his tracks. "Why are you trying to get back into Everfree Forest? Don't you know how dangerous it is?" The young mare said as Ghostbuster was tempted to say something like "At least it's not as dangerous as you ponies", until he realized that saying that could get him in trouble. Ghostbuster then just looked at her until he could come up with a reason, but was stopped by an offer Fluttershy gave him: "If you want, you could hang out with my friends for the time being until you're ready to go...where ever it is your going".

SuperFolder Ghostbuster was tempted to say "no" to the pegasus' offer until he considered that he as SuperFolder would say no, and therefor wouldn't blend in very well. In order to blend in as the self made alias "Ember Almond", it seemed that Ghostbuster's only option was to accept the offer. Also, there was something about Fluttershy that ticked off SuperFolder, and it seemed worth the investigation. "I guess I could stay for a little while." The Jedi Knight "Ember Almond" said to Fluttershy. And so, the two took a trip downtown to give Ghostbuster a tour of pony world.

As they were trotting along, Fluttershy stopped and told her undercover companion that she had to return books to a friend first. SuperFolder wasn't all that concerned to hear the small errand, but his distrust bloomed when Fluttershy walked him to a giant crystaline tree. "So, is your friend a miner, or an owl?" Ghostbuster said, poking fun at her friend's home, which was responded with "Oh no, she's not a miner. But with all the books she's read, I guess you could call her an owl. She's a princess too, by the way". Ghostbuster had a slight panic attack, but kept it under wraps to not blow his cover. It wasn't enough as Fluttershy asked "What's the matter? Haven't you at least heard of her before? How could you not remember all those times we saved your life?" and this had Ghostbuster worried like crazy. So many questions for him to answer. So little time. "I'm not really a big fan of the princesses" is all SuperFolder could tell his new pony friend for now.

"Oh hey Fluttershy! Have you come to return the book?" called out a purple alicorn from the window. Fluttershy pulled out a slightly heavy book with a blue cover and gold lining.

"I got it right here Twilight." Fluttershy called out to her friend, as she raced down the stairs. Twilight opened the doors and retrieved the book from the introvert, only to have both ponies hug each other out of friendship.

"If the two of you need me, I'm gonna vomit in that bush." Ghostbuster said as he did not want to be looking at lovey dovey moments like that throughout his career. Twilight, who saw Ghostbuster as just some random pony who followed Fluttershy, decided to introduce herself.

"I'm afraid we haven't been introduced. I'm Princess Twilight Sparkle. Princess of Friendship in Equestria. Might I ask what your name is?" Twilight said to the Incognito Jedi as he was about to speak, but was stopped by Fluttershy, who introduced him herself.

"This is Ember Almond, and I found him unconscious in the woods. He doesn't really want to make that many friends, but I think we can persuade him otherwise." Fluttershy said. Twilight agreed with her pegasus friend as Fluttershy and Ghostbuster set of on their trip once more.

"What can we do for lunch?" Fluttershy mummered to herself, practicing her kindness on her guest, which was then answered by Ghostbuster being asked by Fluttershy if he likes soup or not.

A few hours later, Fluttershy and "Ember Almond" stopped at a place where the two could have something to eat while Fluttershy gives Ghostbuster his tour of the town.

"So, was that princess your ONLY friend, or are there more?" Superfolder asked his fellow introvert as Fluttershy looked behind Ghostbuster a bit and saw a little bit of pink in the bushes.

"I have quite a few friends." Fluttershy said to the Jedi Knight. As they continued their discussion, the small sliver of pink that Fluttershy saw slowly revealed itself to be another mare. The pink mare slowly walked to SuperFolder and Fluttershy without either of them noticing until a screaming "Ohmygosh!" shot into Ghostbuster's ears. Fluttershy however was unphased.

"Hey there Pinkie Pie" Fluttershy responded. Ghostbuster panted and asked Fluttershy if this "Pinkie Pie" was another one of her friends, which Fluttershy acknowledged and confirmed.

SuperFolder tried to introduce himself as "Ember Almond" to Pinkie Pie, but every attempt as saying anything was cut to a halt when Pinkie's excitement filled her so much that she wouldn't shut up. SuperFolder wasn't even sure she was seperating her words correctly, so it sounded like her entire sentences sounded like one huge word. Ghostbuster's personal space was being overwhelmed until Fluttershy asked "Pinkie, I appreciate you trying to make a new friend, but don't you have a party to set up?", in which Pinkie gave Ghostbuster some breathing room.

"As a matter of fact, I do have a party to set up. I'll invite you Fluttershy, as long as you bring your special somepony with you". Fluttershy was shocked to hear it, but laughed at it. Ghostbuster was only left with confusion when the term "Special Somepony" came up. He decided to put the pieces together himself.

"I just remembered, I have to help ANOTHER friend with something. I can't have you wandering off alone, so I'm gonna have you follow me" Fluttershy told him. Ghostbuster only asked his questions in his head as he followed her to their next destination.

As they ventured forth on the tour, they ended up in a farm harvesting nothing but apples. And one of those farmers welcomed SuperFolder and Fluttershy with pride.

"Well howdy there Fluttershy. Glad you could make it". The farmer said to Fluttershy. Ghostbuster realized that this is yet another one of Fluttershy's friends. The farmer introduced herself to the undercover Jedi as "Applejack" and asked Fluttershy to deal with a whole bunch of bats going crazy over the apples. While Fluttershy was off to deal with the winged mammals, Applejack decided that this would be the perfect opportunity to (attempt) to befriend the strange colt.

"You sure seem like a nice fella. Have an apple on the house." Applejack said as Ghostbuster was given an apple. Ghostbuster just gave the farm girl a nervous smile as he walked off waiting for Fluttershy to return so he could leave.

SuperFolder sat up against the barn wall, waiting to leave, when Applejack came up and asked him "What's with the long face, sugar?". Ghostbuster responded shrewdly, saying it's none of her business. Applejack was but curious to figure out what he had on his mind. Knowing her ability to tell truth from lies, she interrogated the human-turned-colt. Ghostbuster figured out what she was trying to do, so he answered very vaguely to outsmart Applejack. A few minutes of this interrogation elapsed as Fluttershy returned from helping the Apple Family and their bat dilemma with relative ease. Ghostbuster would stand in curiosity at the pegasus he was following.

"She...can communicate with animals while no one else could? Interesting. There's more to this universe than meets the eye. I think she might even have the Force." Ghostbuster thought to himself, and maybe he was right. But maybe he was wrong. There's only one way to find out.
