A New Artist in Ponyville: The Story of Creativa Artly

Chapter 5

It was a sunny day when Creativa Artly got a knock on her door and to her surprise, she opened it to the great, big smiles of her sister and brothers. "Oh hey, it's good to see you," I responded as I embraced them in a hug. "I missed you guys so much. How are mom and dad?"

"They're good," responded Chelle. "How's your job going? How's the school doing? How's the studio and store?"

"It's good, good," I respond with a smile. "Won't you come on in." The three nod and come inside and we all enjoy a nice lunch together.

"So, what's been going on with you guys?" I ask them with a smile on my face.

"Well, I made the high school buckball team," says Nate with a grin on his face.

"And I made the Marison Girls Choir," responds Chelle.

"I created and published a new desktop game," responds E. "I'm the only fifth grader in my school to have ever created a desktop game at such a young age."

"You have always been a little smarty pants," I say as I mess up his mane.

"Yeah," he responds. "Thanks, Ar."

A few minutes later, the four of us go to Sugar Cube Corner where we happily enjoy cupcakes and milkshakes. All the while, we continue to catch up on the last few weeks. Once we're done with our little treat, we go to Pony Paradise Amusement Cart and go ride the coasters and the other rides there, all the while having a blast and sharing laughs just like old times. I buy my siblings cotton candy and I even brought E a little Pony Commando action figure as he's super obsessed with that comic series at the moment. I then just smiled as he played with it all the way to the train station that evening. Before they hopped on the train to leave, we all shared a great big hug. I then waved goodbye to them until the train was out of sight. I'm glad I got to spend the day with them and I would never have changed it for the world.

The next day, I was out in the town when I was greeted by a young filly named Nika. She was a sweet little filly with a lot of questions. Some of them made me laugh, others I answered with a smile. "What is it like being an artist? I've always wanted to be one."

"Well, it's busy and takes lots of time and effort, but I enjoy it. It can also be lonely sometimes, but I manage." As I say this, a single tear falls from my eye. I then suck it up and continue to answer the rest of her questions until we reach Cheerilee's school where we part ways.

"I like that little filly, she reminds me of me at that age," I say as I walk away to join in on a picnic with Twilight, Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Rainbow, Sweetie Belle, Apple Bloom, and Scootaloo. A few minutes later, I arrive at the park and sit down with the group. We then begin to talk about our days and I tell them about the little filly I met. As I talk, they listen attentively. I'm glad they're such good listeners and I'm glad they're also great for just chattering back and forth. They're amazing friends and I could never ask for any better even though I still can't help but miss my best friend Key Lime quite a bit as we haven't seen each other since I went off to share my art with the world.
