The Chronicles of Sugar Forest

by EquestriaGirls

Prologue Part 2

Sugar Forest was in a moment of shock after she was told that the request was to look for the Princess of Friendship and her friends. "What happened?" She could only ask this certain question. Princess Luna looked at her with a paranoid expression.

"They have been kidnapped." She answered. Sugar Forest gave a look of fright to this and Princess Celestia just stared at her sister.

"They weren't kidnapped, they went missing. Twilight sent me a message just one hour ago. They couldn't have been kidnapped in that time frame." Princess Celestia tries to reassure her younger sister.

"I say they have been kidnapped. We haven't heard anything from them in a hour. Something bad must have happened!" Princess Luna was very, very paranoid. However, deep in her heart, Sugar Forest felt that Princess Luna was right. Maybe, they have been kidnapped. But, what if it was worse?

What if they were dead?

Sugar Forest shook away these thoughts from her head and she looked at the two Princesses. "You want me, a normal librarian and an author to go look for the most famous group of ponies in all of Equestria?" Sugar Forest asked with self doubt in her voice. The two Princesses looked between themselves.

They then realized that the mare in front of them didn't have a lot of confidence. Maybe that was why she looked so scared. Princess Luna concluded this as part of her librarian and author Cutie Mark.

Sugar Forest was a very famous author, it just that nopony has ever seen her in her normal appearance. She always dressed wildly to keep attention away from herself. Nopony has ever asked to see the real her. The real her was shy and timid. The real her was cowardly.

The real her was destined for great things.

Sugar Forest always wanted to go on an adventure, not just one that forces her to put her life in danger at every turn. As she pondered this, she realized that she wanted to help the two Princesses. "Where do I start, your Highness?" Sugar Forest asked Princess Celestia.

Princess Celestia looked at the mare in shock, but Princess Luna did not. She knew that Sugar Forest was going to accept, despite her reservations. She agreed so quickly. What changed her mind? The older Princess wondered.

"Equestria needs the Princess of Friendship and her merry group of friends to keep peace and friendship alive. I promise, I will do my best to find them." Sugar Forest tells the two Princesses.

"You're so brave, Sugar Forest." Princess Luna says, making the younger mare smile up at the Princess.

"Well, I try to be brave." Sugar Forest admitted. Princess Luna nodded her head.

"That's all I'm asking you to be. Bravery goes a long way." Princess Luna tells Sugar Forest. Sugar Forest giggled nervously, knowing she had no bravery skills in her body. I'm not brave! I run away from everypony! She thought. She wasn't hero material and she would never be hero material.

"I'm not hero material." Sugar Forest mutters softly under her breath. Princess Luna looked at Sugar Forest in her eyes.

"You are destined to do great things." Princess Luna tells Sugar Forest, but Sugar Forest didn't believe it. No pony knew she was on the inside. On the outside, she's this rich stuck up person who is famous for her books. The only problem, she's not stuck up, she's quiet. She doesn't like large crowds and she is generally a down to Earth pony.

"You think I can be great?" Sugar Forest asked Princess Luna. Princess Luna nodded her head.

"I believe that you will become the best known hero throughout Equestria." Princess Luna tells Sugar Forest.

Sugar Forest smiled at this. She could be a hero, she could be the next Adventurer that saves Equestria. She wanted to save the world and Sugar Forest has to break from her negative thoughts.

She could do it. She would be a hero.
