Dillan slowly walked outside as Rainbow kept an eye on Kendra, the human sighed and sat at the base of a tree, tears filling his eyes as he hugged himself. "Why…. Why…. Why!!?" He shouted, pulling his hair and slamming his head against the tree. "Why does it hurt so much…" he whispered as he sobbed, shaking like a leaf.
Rainbow dash rushed out of Dillan's house when she heard him scream, pausing as the clouds parted allowing the moon light to shine down. Her eyes widened as he began humming a song to seemingly himself, as she watched seven spectral beings standing around him. "I'm so tired of being here… suppressed by all my childish fears… and if you have to leave… I wish that you would just leave… of course your presence still lingers here…" He sang, as the two shortest spectral beings hugged him, while one of the tall ones turned around and looked at Rainbow.
Rainbow flinched back in surprise, before she slowly approached. The taller male stepped aside to let Rainbow get closer to Dillan, followed by the other beings. Two of whom Rainbow recognized as Dillan's parents from her time in the human world, as Dillan sobbed and wailed, causing her heart to ache. "I'm sorry! I miss you all so much!"
Rainbow sat next to him with a sad frown. “I am sure they loved you very much.” She said and put a wing over his back.
Dillan broke down more as he sobbed, having a hand over his head as he suddenly started slamming his head against the tree again. "It's all my fault!"
“Damn it Dillan!” Rainbow grabbed him and stopped him. “It wasn’t your fault!” Rainbow yelled with tears in her eyes. “You need to stop blaming yourself and start living in the present, live for those around you, live for me you stupid monkey boy!” She shouted.
Dillan's eyes widened at her shout, whimpering a bit. "I-i'm s-sorry… i-i don't mean to be a burden…"
Rainbow hits their heads together. “Dummy! You aren’t a burden! You are my closest friend!”
Dillan looked at her in surprise, before looking down. "I-i'm s-sorry… it's just hard to know what I can be sure about anymore…" he said, not noticing the spectral beings before he slowly wrapped an arm around Rainbow's back and pulled her closer. "Aside from this." He said, kissing her quickly.
Her eyes widened from the kiss as her wings popped out before she slowly kissed back.
Dillan pulled away from her with a blush. "Oh crap, I'm sorry! I wasn't thinking!"
Rainbow slowly blinked her eyes and came back to reality. “Wow…”
Dillan moved away a bit with a blush. "I'm sorry… i-i wasn't thinking… i-i just…"
Rainbow surprised him by leaning closer and kissing him again and then giggling. “Shut up monkey boy, you need to relax, I enjoyed that.”
He blushed deeper. "Y-you did? B-but you just got done calling me your closest friend. I-i don't want to ruin anything…"
Rainbow sighed and put her head on his chest. “I am confused too…I care for you…far more than I thought, but…you don’t remember me.”
Dillan looked down at her, slowly wrapping his arms around her. "Y-you remember what happened…?"
Rainbow’s eyes widened and she looked up at him. “You mean you do remember me!?”
Dillan blushed a bit and smiled sheepishly. "C-come on, how could I forget you? W-when I first got here you didn't seem to recognize me so I just kept quiet…"
Rainbow pouted. “So was that whole show thing a lie?” She asked before sighing. “My parents asked Celestia to remove the memories because of…what happened.”
Dillan sighed and nodded. "Yeah… the fire was intense… and no the show wasn't a lie, you know I wouldn't lie to you." He said, holding her closer. "You have no idea how much I watched the show every day, just to see you again."
Rainbow blushed a bit as she smacked his arm, having a small smile on her face. “You`re the same old dork as ever.”
Dillan smiled softly as he leaned against the tree they were next to, looking up at the night sky with a soft sigh. “Ok, i`ll be honest, i did forget everything that happened nearly twenty years ago, i only began to remember right before i came here… when a toaster hit me on the head..” He said before chuckling. “Paradox must have done that on purpose.”
Rainbow slowly leaned against him, getting small smiles to form on the faces of the spectral beings before Dillan slowly moved away. “I- I'm sorry, please believe me when I say I enjoyed that kiss too but… I-I just need more time.”
“I…I understand but that doesn’t mean we can’t hang out like old times right?” Rainbow said with a smile.
Dillan smiled softly and chuckled. "You wanna hang out like old times? What should we chase each other around saying catch me if you can?"
Rainbow chuckled and smirked. “Without that watch you wouldn’t have a chance, monkey boy.” She said before looking back at the cabin. “We should get something ready for the human filly.”
Dillan smiled a bit as he stood up, leaning on the tree a bit as the two started to walk as Rainbow noticed some blood on the tree. Rainbow frowned and looked at Dillan. “You’re hurt.”
Dillan raised an eyebrow as he turned to look at the tree, revealing a small amount of blood on the back of his head where he slammed his head against the plant. "Huh, I don't feel anything."
Rainbow flapped her wings and put a hoof on his head. “You're bleeding from the back of your head!”
"Huh?" Her friend asked as he touched the back of his head and winced. "Oh jeez, I guess I slammed my head a little too hard…"
“Inside now mister!” Rainbow said while pointing at his cabin. “I’ll clean it and wrap it.”
"Huh? But-" He started to say before closing his mouth at the death glare Rainbow gave him. "y-yes ma'am… jeez you haven't changed a bit." He said walking inside.
Rainbow smirked a bit before she gently pushed him inside. “Of course I've changed, I’m much faster and stronger now.”
Dillan smiled a little with a light blush. "Yeah I noticed… just don't go slamming me into a red wood tree like when we first met, I don't think my bones could handle it."
Rainbow blushed and shook her head. “Can you blame me? I was alone, sca…shocked, and saw something completely new.” She said and had him set down before she walked into the bathroom to get the first aid kit.
Dillan smiled softly as he spoke loud enough for her to hear without waking up Kendra. "Yeah I remember, I also remember what happened that night."
Rainbow poked her head out with a red face and glare. “We agreed to never speak of that!”
Dillan smiled softly at her as she came back with the first aid kit. "What? It was… cute."
Rainbow frowned and sprayed antibacterial spray on the back of his head making it sting. “It wasn’t cute…” She said with a blush.
Dillan winced and smiled a little. "Yes it was… and I'm happy you trusted me enough to do that."
Rainbow blushed more and grumbled. “Keep it up monkey boy, and I'll make sure to make this as painful as possible.” She said as she cleaned Dillan’s head injury.
"Ok ok, sorry." He said quickly as he looked to the ground. "I can't believe you remember that old nickname…"
Rainbow sighed and looked away. “I didn’t until Celestia gave the memories back earlier today.”
Dillan slowly reached up and gently rubbed the hood she had set on his shoulder. "It's alright, we both forgot…"
Rainbow blushed again. “I guess that is true.” She continued to clean his injury before she began wrapping it.
"I'm sorry." Dillan whispered. "I can't imagine how worried you must have been when that portal had closed."
“I was scared but…I honestly thought you died and…I didn’t eat for days. It got so bad that my parents asked Celestia to remove the memories of my time on earth.” Rainbow said as she finished bandaging his head.
Dillan turned to look at her quickly, their faces and inch from each other and causing them both to blush and move away. "S-sorry, a-are least it wasn't painful for your memory to be taken. I-i had a wooden support beam fall on my head and my back burnt up."
Rainbow frowned sadly and put a hoof on his back gently. Dillan glanced back at her for a long while, before looking away. "I'm honestly happy it happened… it's a permanent reminder of… what you mean to me…"
Rainbow blushed and shyly looked away. “Aww that is sweet.” Kendra said from the couch.
Dillan and Rainbow's head snapped to the couch, seeing the human girl awake. "How long have you been awake?"
She giggled and sat up. “When you two came back inside.”
Dillan sighed a bit, and stood up wobbling slightly as he grabbed his head. "You know it isn't nice to eavesdrop right?" He asked as he slowly went into the kitchen.
“But you were having such a nice talk.” Kendra said as she stayed on the couch.
Rainbow frowned worriedly as she followed Dillan, watching from the doorway as he made a few peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. "You still could have told us…" he said to himself.
“Maybe…I’m sorry.” Kendra said with a sigh. “Dang, Hooty is rubbing off on me.”
"I knew it, you're an owl house displaced." Dillan said with a small smile, handing her the plate of sandwiches. Before Rainbow made him sit down.
"That's enough moving around, you need to rest." She said sternly, getting a timid nod from Dillan.
Kendra giggled and nodded. “Yeah, I am displaced as Luz and if you have seen the show then you should know about the coven system, right?” She asked before taking a bite of the sandwich.
"Oh god… don't tell me your Celestia did that?" Dillan asked with a frown.
“Yeah, and it was recently before I arrived.” Kendra said with a frown. “When I first got there it was ok as the Apples took me in but after I showed Twilight my glyphs I have been on the run…”
Dillan groaned and rubbed his face. "Great… maybe I could try talking with her."
“Twilight or Celestia?” Kendra asked before adding. “Because Twilight already apologized for accidentally getting the guards onto my case, and putting my new friends in danger.”
"Celestia." Dillan sighed, holding his head as he winced.
"You're not going anywhere." Rainbow dash said to him with a glare. "You slammed your head so hard against a tree you started to bleed, you're lucky I didn't rush you to the hospital."
“Oh geez, he should get checked out.” Kendra said while she ate.
"I um don't think they'd be much good since I'm a human…" Dillan mumbled looking away.
“Oh right, this world is full of ponies.” Kendra said and looked at Rainbow.
Rainbow sighed and sat down next to Dillan. "I can ask Twilight to use a spell to try and see if you're ok."
Dillan nodded a little before looking at Kendra. "How long do you think you're going to stay? I can get you some supplies so you don't starve when you go back."
Kendra blushed lightly. “I am ok, I found a way to grow fruit trees and stuff thanks to my glyphs.”
"Kid, you're almost skin and bones." Rainbow said with a frown. "You need more sustainable food."
"The princesses gave me some meat from their kitchens for when they have visiting dignitaries. You can take some of that." Dillan said, slowly standing up.
Kendra’s stomach growled loudly and she blushed. “O-ok, if you want to…um and I guess it is up to you how long I am gonna be here.” She then started digging in her bag.
Dillan smiled softly as he went into the kitchen. "You can stay as long as you want to."
Kendra pulled out a wooden plank that is carved and painted. “This is my token.”
"Token?" Rainbow asked, confused, looking at the carving.
"It's a device to call other Displaced!" Dillan called from the kitchen. "Unfortunately I don't have one yet."
“Oh.” Kendra set it down and wondered how she would get it back. “Um…do either of you have any ideas of how I can make some money?”
"Maybe put on shows like Trixie?" Dillan suggested.
“Who?” Kendra asked and tilted her head.
"A show mare that puts on fake magic shows." Rainbow said. "But that might draw attention to you."
"Yeah… good point." Dillan sighed, coming back with a plate of food for Kendra.
Kendra smiled and got to eating. “Thank you.” She said and tapped her chin. “I guess I could, I don’t want to bum on my friends for…things.” She added with a blush.
Dillan raised an eyebrow at the comment before blinking and looking away. "Oh, yeah that wouldn't be good."
Kendra fidgested. “Thankfully in my world they are humans…kinda.”
"I don't get it." Rainbow said with a confused blink.
"I am not going into human anatomy." Dillan said, shaking his head.
Kendra fidgested as she whispered into Rainbow’s ear making her eyes widen and a blush cover her cheeks. "Oh…" Rainbow said, shaking her head. "Y-yeah that's um… that's bad."
Kendra looked down with a blush. “Yeah, like I said, I got lucky getting a human-ish Equestria.”
Dillan nodded and chuckled softly. "Yeah glad I'm a dude."
Kendra shook her head and smiled at Dillan. “Do you want to learn my glyphs? They seem to work here.”
"I guess?" Dillan said, rubbing his head a bit.
Kendra smiled and pulled out her sketchbook and started drawing. “Just don’t mix the glyphs…unless you have a photographic memory and can remember which ones are safe.”
Rainbow giggled a bit. "He's always had a photographic memory."
“That's good, has he seen the episodes of owl house with glyph combos?” Kendra asked with a smile.
"No I haven't." Dillan said as he sat down again.
“Aww, well be careful if you try to combine glyphs.” Kendra said as she ripped off the paper and handed it to him with five drawings, four glyphs and one glyph combo.
Dillan nodded slowly as he looked at the list of drawings. "Alright then."
Kendra smiled a bit. “Is there anything else you want to do or talk about?”
"Not really, unless you want me to mix your DNA with something." Dillan said.
Kendra looked around nervously. “I don’t know, isn't that kinda…risky?”
"I guess it depends on what I would mix your DNA with." Dillan said with a shrug. "
“How can you mix DNA?” Kendra asked.
"Oh, I guess I never told you what I'm displaced as." Dillan chuckled softly, removing his jacket and showing her his Ultimatrix. "I'm a Ben ten displaced."
“Ben ten? That was a weird show.” She said as she set the plate down. “Um…what can you mix with me?”
"Well I have all the pony races, all the aliens from the show…. Discord…" he said. "That's about it…"
“I don’t know…maybe later.” Kendra said with a nervous smile.
Dillan nodded a little. "That's fine, you weren't in the middle of something important right?"
“No.” She shook her head. “I had just got home after getting my friends out of the everfree.”
"Alright good, oh I removed that burn." Dillan said.
Kendra looked at her arm. “Oh, thank you.”
"It's thanks to Celestia." Dillan said with a small smile.
“Really? Maybe she isn’t like Belos.” Kendra said while looking down at the ground.
"Shit Belos? Oh man." Dillan said, shakingsaid, shaking his head. "I hope you don't have any titans there."
“Um…about that…” Kendra said with a nervous chuckle.
"Wait, you have some?" Dillan asked with a raised eyebrow.
“King is living with me in the owl house. Eda made it appear and turned my King plush into the real thing after explaining the whole displaced thing.” She said with a shrug.
Dillan's mouth dropped. "King? I wanna meet him, I wanna meet him!" He said excitedly making Rainbow giggle.
Kendra giggled and looked at Rainbow then back to him. “Well if you think it is ok, maybe that guy in the lab coat could send us both to my world, but Rainbow comes with.”
Rainbow smiled softly as Dillan looked confused. "I wasn't planning on leaving her."
“Just making sure, boys can be dumb sometimes.” Kendra said with a giggle.
Dillan rolled his eyes. "Oh please, I've known since I was twelve that Rainbow isn't a mare I wanna make Angry."
Rainbow smirked at him. "I've had you trained since he was twelve? Well that makes things easier."
Kendra giggled more and shook her head. “Ok um…mister lab coat guy? Could you send us to my world?” She asked the air, hoping that he was listening.
Dillan blushed a bit before a portal opened near them, Paradox walking through. "Hello my friends, I am glad to see you made it in time, Miss Kendra."
Kendra smiles sadly. “It is thanks to you mister, and all I did was listen.”
"Sometimes that is all that is truly needed." Paradox said with a smile, turning to Dillan and Rainbow. "I see you two have reconnected."
Rainbow frowned, looking Paradox over before her eyes widened and she gasped. “You were there!”
Dillan looked confused as Paradox smiles and holds up a finger to his lips. "Now, now. We don't want to be late." He said before a blue light flashed from his pocket watch, suddenly making the three end up in a different place.
“Kendra, your back!” I high pitched voice said as a brown tube wrapped around Kendra.
“Yes Hooty, I’m back, but personal space please.” She said as she wiggled in the Owl-demon’s grip.
Dillan chuckled softly as he lifted his Ultimatrix to scan hooty. "What the hay is that?" Rainbow asked, confused as she stayed behind Dillan.
“This-” Kendra stated as she wiggled free. “-is Hooty, an owl…house…worm…demon…I think.” She looked at Hoory. “He is a friend, and is friendly.”
"Nice to meet you." Dillan said with a smile, as Rainbow stayed behind him.
“Oh joy! New friends!” Hooty yelled as he wrapped himself around Dillan and Rainbow, hugging them both.
“Hooty, calm down.” Kendra said with a sigh. “Did King let you eat sugar or something?”
Dillan chuckled a bit as Rainbow tried to get away. "Let… us… go!"
“Aww.” Hooty let go of them but then pushed his face up against Rainbow’s. “We are still friends right?”
Rainbow jumped away and glared at Hooty. "You can't just hug someone and demand to be friends!"
"I'll be your friend." Dillan said with a small smile.
Kendra rubbed Hooty and shook her head. “He is really friendly, sorry.”
Rainbow frowned as Hooty wrapped around Dillan again, making Rainbows wings pop open angrily as Dillan hugged Hooty back causing her anger to subside a bit. "Fine…"
Kendra smiled and clapped her hands. “Let’s head inside, I just hope King isn’t making a mess.”
The four heard a loud crash from within the house, causing Dillan to laugh. "Oh man, just like a little kid."
Kendra sighed and slumped in defeat. “Dang it.” She walked over to the door and opened it. “King, we have guests!”
"Kendra you're back!" King said, hugging the girl as she saw a broken vase on the ground.
Kendra sighed and petted his head. “Hey King, are you hurt?”
He shook his head. "No sorry, I was moving the vase and tripped…"
“Well as long as you aren’t hurt.” Kendra said with a sigh. She then turned and waved a hand at Rainbow and Dillan. “Meet my new friends, Dillan and Rainbow Dash. Rainbow, Dillan, this is King.” She said as she patted the small furry being with a skull on his head with two horns.
"What's up?" Dillan said with a smile, wincing a little before holding and shaking his head.
Rainbow frowned and grabbed Dillan’s shirt in her teeth and dragged him to a couch. “You couch now!”
“Whoa, what's with the married couple?” King asked.
Dillan blushed a bit as Rainbow sat him down on the couch, before checking his head. "W-we're not married, we've just been friends for a long time…"
“Well you act like you’re married.” King said as he walked over to the broken vase but Kendea picked him up.
She carried him over to Dillan. “King, apologize, also Dillan, do you want Titan DNA?”
"Wait what!?" King shouted in shock.
"Not like that dude." Dillan chuckled a bit as he held up his Ultimatrix, a yellow beam flowing over King. "This watch lets me scan and turn into different species. Including Titan now."
“Really? That sounds like some powerful magic.” King said before wiggling in Kendra’s grip. “Let me down Kendra!”
"Not until you apologize!" Rainbow said to him with a glare. "What you said was really insensitive, my friend just lost his fiance and unborn child!" She said, making Dillan look at the ground a bit.
King’s eyes widened widely. “Oh geez…I am so sorry.”
Dillan smiled sadly at King. "It's ok, you didn't know."
"Don't just say it's ok!" Rainbow said with a frown. "You've been beating yourself up over it, and he just reminded you of it!"
"Yeah… except he's a kid. He didn't know, and beating him up over it won't do any good." Dillan said softly, a small trial of blood going down the side of his head opposite of Rainbow.
Kendra gasped and pointed it out for Rainbow. “He is bleeding on the other side…maybe you should visit the hospital here.”
"What!?" Rainbow shouted, dashing to his other side as he held up his hands. "don't you dare say you're fine!"
Dillan closed his mouth and put his hands down, looking at the floor. "y-yes ma'am."
King was set down as Kemdra ran over to a coat rack and picked up a cloak. “Here, you can use this to sneak into town.”
"Thank you." Rainbow said, taking the cloak. "Come on Monkey boy."
"You could say please, Skittles." Dillan mumbled a bit.
Rainbow blushed and huffed. “I told you I didn’t like that nickname…but I guess you could use it now.”
Dillan smiled softly as he stood up, shaking his head more. "Alright… let's go…"
Kendra smiled and grabbed a smaller cloak and put it on. “I can follow you and use my glyphs to draw guards away if they bug you.”
"You don't have to risk yourself." Dillan said with a small smile. "We can take care of ourselves."
“You are hurt and while you are here you’re my responsibility.” Kendra said with a smile.
Dillan sighed and slumped forward a bit before turning to King. "Some friendly advice, never argue with a girl. They're always right."
“Nah, you are just a wimp.” King said with a laugh.
Dillan shook his head with a smirk as he started to leave with Rainbow and Kendra. "One of my forms can alter all of reality, I don't think I'm all that weak."
“Yeah right.” King said before they left.
Kendra looked up. “You have that evil alien from alien xtinction?”
"Alien Extinction?" Dillan asked with a blink before chuckling. "Oh no, you're thinking of alien x, that's from the reboot. In the original show it was first introduced as one of Ben's transformations."
“There was another Ben ten show?” Kendra asked, surprised.
Dillan laughed a bit. "Yes, the original came out in two thousand and five, where Ben got the Omnitrix, then there was the one where he was a teenager, then the one where he got this form." He said holding up his Ultimatrix. "Then one where he had the perfected Omnitrix. So there were four shows all together and then the reboot."
“Wow.” Kendra said as they walked through the forest. “I guess I should have watched it.”
"I think I have them on DVD." Dillan said, rubbing his chin. "If you wanna borrow them."
“I don’t think I have a tv.” Kendra said with a shrug.
"Oh, nevermind then." Dillan said with a shrug, noticing how Rainbow kept glancing at his head. "I'm sure I'll be ok."
Kendra looked at Rainbow. “You are a lot smaller than the last pony I met.”
Rainbow raised an eyebrow. "What's that mean?"
“When I met my first displaced two ponies came with and they were huge! Like bigger than Dillan.” She said while throwing her arms out and up.
"Really?" Dillan asked, surprised. "Well different dimensions, different ways things are."
“Oh and it was Fluttershy and her boyfriend.” Kendra added.
"Fluttershy's boyfriend?" Both Dillan and Rainbow asked together.
“Yeah, a black furred stallion called Full Moon.” Kendra said with a smile.
"Wow, good for her." Dillan said with a small smile as they approached the edge of town.
Kendra flipped her hood up. “You should put up your hood, humans here have ponies ears.”
Dillan looked up as he put the hood on his head, covering most of it as Rainbow hid beneath it huddling close to him and making her blush. They all walked into the town as Kendra looked around for any guards. “I am…not sure where the hospital is.”
Dillan glanced around a bit before stopping a woman. "U-um excuse me. W-we're new In town could you tell us where the hospital is?"
“Oh welcome to town, it is down the road to the right. Hope you are ok.” She said with a smile. “If I was in the healer’s coven I could help you.”
"Th-thank you for the information." Dillan said, nodding with a smile before he and Kendra started walking down the road. "And I appreciate the offer for help."
“You’re welcome!” She said with a wave.
“Most people are kind, but trust the coven system too much.” Kendra whispered to Dillan.
Dillan nodded a bit as they walked through the town, Rainbow dash nuzzling closer to Dillan as they got closer to the Hospital. “Hey!” Rainbow's voice called out from above them before a human version of her lands in front of them. “What are you doing kid?” She asked Kendra.
Dillan stared at the human Rainbow for a second before whispering to his rainbow dash under the cloak. "You look good as a human." He whispered, making her blush a bit.
"Hey Rainbow, I'm taking my friend here to the hospital." Kendra said with a smile.
“Your friend huh?” Human Rainbow asked with a raised eyebrow and tried to peek under his hood.
Dillan gently grabbed his hood, keeping his ears covered. "I'm like Kendra… ears are different. I don't want to cause a panic…"
“Ah, I see. I didn’t know there were others like her.” Human Rainbow said as she straightened up. “Why are you going to the hospital?”
Dillan looked down. "I-i, um… I'm going through some emotional stuff and um… s-slammed my head against a tree repeatedly."
“Oh geez, that sucks. Hope the tree got hurt worse than you pal.” Human Rainbow said.
Dillan looked away with a sad look as his Rainbow growled under the cloak. “How about I walk ya there?” Human Rainbow said as she laid an arm around Dillan’s shoulders.
Dillan blushed a little. "U-um… sure?" He said with a blink as his Rainbow whispered angrily.
"Get away from him you horse…" She said softly.
“Cool, let’s get going. I bet we can be good friends.” Human Rainbow said as they all started walking.
Dillan gently rubbed his Rainbow's head under the cloak, trying to cheer her up as they walked making her blush and smile. “Hey Miss Rainbow, did Scootaloo make it home?” Kendra asked.
"Yeah she did." Human Rainbow said with a grin. "She said she made it back with a second to spare."
Kendra sighed and looked down. “I am sorry she and the others are getting dragged into my troubles.”
"Hey kid don't worry about it, they aren't the kind of kids to just abandon a friend." Human Rainbow said as Dillan's Rainbow secretly forced her arm from around Dillan's shoulders.
“Huh?” Human Rainbow looked at her arm. “If you didn’t want my arm around you you just had to say something.”
Dillan blinked and looked at her arm. "o-oh um, sorry. I didn't mind just a little, um… sweaty under here."
Kendra giggled and leaned closer. “Hey Rainbow, Dillan has a surprise under his hood that would be a shock.”
The Human Rainbow dash raised an eyebrow as Dillan looked at Kendra worriedly, before he could stop her the human Rainbow haired girl looked under his cloak. "Um… hi…" his Rainbow dash said with a sheepish grin.
The Human Rainbow blinked in surprise. “Whoa, so you are like a pony me?” She asked.
Dillan's Rainbow nodded a bit, moving up so her head was peaking over Dillan's shoulder as her counterpart put the cloak back down. "Yeah, I tagged along to keep this idiot from hurting himself again." She said, making Dillan slump forward.
"Come on Skittles, really? Do you have to call me an idiot?" He asked with a sigh.
"Yes you Idiot Monkey boy." She retorted.
Human Rainbow chuckled and smirked. “He must be a close friend, it is kinda cool meeting a pony version of me, but let’s get him to the hospital.”
"Of course I'm cool, I'm awesome! And yeah before he loses any more blood." Dillan's Rainbow said, as she uncharacteristically checked Dillan's head with a worried frown.
“Right.” Human Rainbow said as she grabbed Dillan’s arm and started to run, making Kendra have to run to keep up.
"Whoa!" Dillan said as he was dragged along. "Jeez I'm just becoming a rag doll for women today!"
“Hey, I am a mare!” Dillan’s Rainbow said with a light bonk to his head.
“I haven’t pulled you around.” Kendra said as she was barely keeping up.
Dillan chuckled nervously. "S-sorry…."
“Don’t worry we are almost there.” Human Rainbow said as they make a right turn,
Dillan glanced around at the look everyone was giving them. "Um, you might wanna slow down a bit. I'm not that hurt…"
“But the faster we get you checked out, the faster we can go somewhere private and I get to talk with my other self.” Human Rainbow said as they ran up to the hospital.
"I take it this is the first time you've met yourself." Dillan chuckled softly as he noticed his Rainbow dash was holding him around his chest.
“Yeah! Kendra only told me about Fluttershy and her boyfriend showing up.” Human Rainbow said as they entered the hospital.
"Well we haven't exactly done a whole lot, I've only been our Equestria for like… a few weeks." Dillan said, glancing around the hospital.
“Might want to keep that talk till later.” Human Rainbow before walking up to the counter. “Hey Red Heart, I have a friend that needs a check up.”
"Of course, what's the problem?" Red heart asked as Dillan glanced at his Rainbow Dash.
"I-i um… slammed the back of my head against a tree repeatedly until it started bleeding…" Dillan said softly as he looked away.
“What in Celestia’s name made you do that?” Red Heart said as she got up. “Follow me.”
Dillan slowly filled her while mumbling. "Depression?"
“Depression? Should I ask for a psychologist?” Red Heart asked as they entered an examination room.
Dillan shook his head a bit. "N-no… I-I’ll be ok."
“You better be.” Dillan’s Rainbow said, shocking Red Heart.
“Who said that? It sounded like Rainbow Dash.” She said.
Dillan groaned and hung his head. "Skittles you have the worst timing…" He sighed as he removed his hood, revealing his normal head and his Rainbow dash.
“What in the world?” Red Heart said before shaking her head. “Off of his shoulders, I need to check and clean his head.”
"I already did that…" Rainbow mumbled as she got down, when Dillan was sitting down on a table.
“With all due respect, I am the professional.” Red Heart said as she checked Dillan’s head over, getting a bit close to Dillan.
Dillan's Rainbow dash's wings fluffed up a little as Nurse red heart got closer to Dillan, making him blush a little at the proximity. "W-well I had to rush since I saw it happen…" she said, looking away, as Dillan rubbed her head a bit.
"And I can't thank you enough, if you hadn't I probably would have died from blood loss." He said, making the mare blush a bit.
“You missed a spot.” Red Heart said before she got some bandages and began wrapping them around Dillan’s head.
Dillan's Rainbow dash looked down sadly at the ground, before Dillan looked at Red heart. "You know you don't have to sound so cold. I know it's your job and all, but it's not like she knows about human anatomy being a pony."
Red Heard sighed and shook her head. “Sorry, I am used to annoying patients that think they know everything. Would you like some books on human physiology?”
Dillan's Rainbow blushed a bit and nodded. "Yeah… I can give them to the hospital back home Incase something happens again…" she said before pointing at Dillan. "But it's better not to be self -inflicted!"
Dillan held up his hands with a nervous look. "Y-yes ma'am."
Red Heart smiled and shook her head. “Ah young love.”
The two blushed and turned away from each other. "W-we're not in love… h-he just knows better since we've known each other for almost twenty years…* she said before flying over to Red Heart and whispering. "And be careful with stuff like that, h-he just lost his fiance and unborn child and his whole biological family…"
“Oh dear, I am so sorry to hear that.” She said with a gasp.
Dillan sighed as he looked at the ground. "You know constantly repeating that doesn't exactly make it better."
"Oh crap, Dillan I'm sorry!" Rainbow said, waving her hooves. "i-i didn't mean…"
"It's alright, I understand you don't want anyone to bring it up after what I did…" Dillan mumbled softly.
Rainbow lowered her head and sighed. “I’m sorry.”
Nurse red heart looked between the two of them with a small smile, before leaving. "I'll be right back with those books."
Dillan looked over at the door before turning to his Rainbow dash, slowly pulling her over onto an embrace. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you feel bad after everything you've done for me."
“I just don’t want to see you hurt…not after everything you did for me and you’ve gone through.” His Rainbow said weakly.
Dillan smiled softly and held her closer, gently rubbing her back as another person walked in. "Hello, my name is Doctor Helper. I'm a psychologist, Nurse red heart told me you didn't want to see me but believe it could help."
Dillan’s Rainbow's ears twitched. “You won’t hurt him will you?”
Doctor Helper blinked at Dillan's Rainbow dash for a moment, before shaking his head slowly. "Not at all, I'm just going to talk to him and try to see if I can help him."
Dillan’s Rainbow sat next to him. “Well…I’m not leaving him alone.”
"I'm sorry… miss… but I need to speak to him alone." Doctor Helper said, fixing his big round glasses. "Patients tend to open up more in one on one conversations and if I'm going to get to the root of the problem I'll need to chat with him alone."
Dillan’s Rainbow huffed and looked up at Dillan. “Do I have to?”
Dillan looked at her. "I can't tell you what to do."
"If you stay it is your choice, but it will make it harder." Doctor Helper said.
Dillan’s Rainbow sighed and got up before looking back at Dillan. “Promise to let him help?”
"If he can, I will." Dillan said with a small smile, before he threw the cloak over her. "Keep yourself safe ok?"
Meanwhile in the hospital entrance Kendra walks in panting and out of breath. “You…run…too fast, Rainbow.”
"Sorry kid, but you wanted your friend to get to the hospital quickly right?" Human Rainbow dash asked with a grin as she and Kendra sat down.
“Yes, but if I hadn't been told where it was recently I never would've been able to catch up with you.” Kendra said as she caught her breath.
"Oh my bad." Human Rainbow dash chuckled softly. "What a shame, me spending time alone with another me and a good looking guy."
Kendra looked up at human Rainbow. “Are you the jealous type?”
Human Rainbow raised an eyebrow at her. "I… I don't think it would be so much jealousy if I had someone, but more of feeling hurt if they didn't tell someone that was hitting on them that they were with me… why?"
“That Rainbow and Dillan like each other, but he recently lost his family.” Kemdra said before raising an eyebrow. “Do you really want to block your other self from having a chance with him?”
"Wait what?" Human Rainbow asked with a blush. "I never said anything about going after the guy, all I said was he was good looking. Besides I didn't know they liked each other… wait didn't he say he was in his Equestria for like a few weeks? Jeez, they move fast."
"He may have only just arrived but we've actually known each other for almost twenty years or so." A familiar voice said as a familiar cloak sat next to them.
Kendra smiled and waved. “Hey Rainbow, I was just about to tell Rainbow that.” She frowned and looked confused. “This is gonna get confusing.”
"How about we just call her Skittles like Dillan does? And wait how the heck have you two known each other that long?" Human Rainbow dash asked her counterpart, who removed the hood to reveal a human girl with an inverted Rainbow colored hair.
"Firstly, Dillan let me borrow his Ultimatrix." Dillan's Rainbow said with a smirk. "he scanned you when you grabbed his arm, secondly that's a long story."
Kendra smiled at the two of them. “Cool, double Rainbow.”
The two Rainbow dash chuckled softly as the normal human Rainbow looked to her counterpart. "So how did you two meet?"
“Did you pull off a sonic rainboom when you were a filly?” Dillan’s Rainbow, Skittles, asked.
"Yeah?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Well, after I originally pulled it off I did it again while practicing. At the same time a naturally forming portal between our worlds opened and I was sucked through." Skittles said with a chuckle.
“I don’t know everything but there was something traumatic that happened because Celestia removed her memories, and she only recently got them back.” Kendra said.
Skittles rubbed her head a little. "Not really traumatic, more… heart broken. When I came back home it was after he saved me from his government. And he had caused a machine to explode. The portal closed as he was engulfed in flames."
Kendra's Rainbow gasped and covered her mouth. “That's horrible! How did he make it out?”
"You know… I… don't know." Dillan's Rainbow dash frowned. "All he said was a support beam fell on his head and he got amnesia."
“Weird, maybe someone saved him.” Kendra suggested.
"Well that would have to have happened, otherwise he wouldn't have shown up." Kendra's Rainbow said with a small smirk. "Maybe you two are destined to be together, I mean what are the odds the exact same human you met shows up in Equestria."
Kendra giggled and smiled. “Yeah, maybe your soul mates.”
Dillan's Rainbow dash blushed and looked away. "I thought I was talking to myself, not Rarity!"
Kendra giggled more as her Rainbow blushed as well but she smirked. “Hey, I am just calling it as I see it, I mean he is way better looking than Thunderlane and has a better attitude too.”
Skittles smirked a bit. "Yeah well, he's always been like that… I wonder if he would help me piss off thunderlane…"
“Who's Thunderlane?” Kendra asked.
"A womanizer." Kendra's Rainbow dash said with a sigh. "He won't stop putting the moves on me and won't take no for an answer."
"Same with me…" Dillan's Rainbow dash said with a groan. "Maybe Dillan can help get him off my back."
“Sounds like a jerk.” Kendra said with a frown.
“He is, oh that reminds me, keep your guard up around his little brother Rumble. He is starting to act like his brother, which means hitting on anything that breathes.” Kendra’s Rainbow said with a roll of her eyes.
"Jeez, Thankfully the Rumble from our world isn't like that." Dillan's Rainbow dash said with a small grin. "I saw him and Scootaloo kissing."
“Aww.” Kendra said before giggling. Sweetie Belle is starting to date Spike here.”
"Wait really!?" Dillan's Rainbow dash asked. "Back home she liked Button mash."
“Really? Wait, who is Button?” Kendra asked and tilted her head.
"A small kid with brown hair and a beanie hat." Kendra's Rainbow said. "He's obsessed with video games."
"From what I heard from Rarity, Sweetie belle got him out of his shell and even gave her a flower when she got her heart broken by some jerk in their class." Dillan's Rainbow dash said.
“Aww he sounds sweet.” Kendra said with a smile.
Dillan's Rainbow grinned at Kendra. "Well since your Sweetie belle is with Spike maybe you could get to know Button mash."
Kendra blushed lightly and shook her head. “I don’t know if I'm ready to date…especially with being a wanted girl.”
"Maybe, but I bet Button could make you feel wanted in a good way." Kendra's Rainbow dash said with a grin.
"Yeah you could be his princess he wants to rescue." Dillan's Rainbow dash said with a similar grin.
Kendra blushed and groaned. “Is this my punishment for teasing Dillan?”
"Yes." Dillan's Rainbow dash said with a smirk, as Kendra saw Dillan at the counter with a doctor.
Kendra poked Dillan’s Rainbow and pointed him out. “Dillan is back.”
Her head snapped in his direction as he walked over slowly, his hands in his pockets with bandages wrapped around his head. "Hey…" He said softly.
“Are you ok? Your head isn’t cracked is it?” Kendra asked.
Dillan shook his head a bit as his Rainbow dash touched his scalp. "N-no, the back of my head is just scrapped."
“Well that’s better than being cracked.” Kendra’s Rainbow said before she rubbed her shoulder. “I remember when my wing got broken.”
"That sounds like a story." Dillan said as his Rainbow was still looking over his head.
"You don't have any Brain damage right?" She asked with a frown.
"No more than I already did." Dillan said with a light hearted chuckle.
Dillan’s Rainbow slapped his shoulder. “That's not funny Dillan.”
Dillan moved his arm away from her. "I'm not joking… ever since that fire I've had some trouble pronouncing simple words right and I've had tendencies to confuse things for other things… I had to go to the hospital for a few years to have xrays and such done to fix my brain damblig… damblige…" he started to say before shaking his head and sighing. "Damage…"
Dilan’s Rainbow narrowed her eyes. “You are telling the truth?”
"Why would I lie about that?" Dillan asked with a raised eyebrow. "just to avoid the joke? I already made it, I told you how that support beam fell on my head, if it causes amnesia it had to hit me pretty hard."
Dillan’s Rainbow sighed and looked down. “I’m sorry.”
"Uh… why?" Dillan asked, confused. "It's not your fault."
“I accused you of lying.” She said with a sigh.
Dillan arched an eyebrow as he glanced at Kendra and her Rainbow dash confused. "Well… that's because you're just worried about me, you don't have to apologize for that."
“She was super worried about you.” Kendra said with a smile.
Dillan blushed a bit and glanced at his Rainbow dash, scratching his head before pulling her into a hug. "Sorry…"
“Aww.” Kendra and her Rainbow said at the same time, though Rainbow’s was in a more teasing way.
Dillan and his Rainbow dash blushed as Skittles glared at her counterpart before sticking out her tongue in a cheeky fashion. Kendra’s Rainbow chuckled and shook her head. “You two fit together, as friends or more, that's up for you to decide.”
Kemdra’s stomach growled loudly and she blushed, putting a hand to it. “Um, who wants to leave the hospital?”
"Yes please." Dillan said with a sigh as his stomach growled as well.
“Good.” Kendra said as she ran to the doors. “Come one, let’s go somewhere.”
“How about sugar cube corner?” Kendra’s Rainbow suggested.
"Sure, I've been eating there almost every day." Dillan said with a chuckle, making his Rainbow frown at him.
“I had what Dillan gave me.” Kendra said with a sheepish smile.
"I haven't eaten today…" Dillan's Rainbow dash said, looking away.
"What what!?" Dillan asked, shocked. "oh heck no, come on!" He said pushing her to the front doors.
Kendra looked at Dillan before saying out loud. “Wow, he really does care for her.”
Kendra's Rainbow dash grinned a bit as they followed Dillan and his Rainbow dash. "think she would kill me if I flirted with him?"
Kendra giggled and smirked. “Would you?”
Kendra’s Rainbow dash smirked a bit. "No, I'd prove I'm better…"
Kendra shook her head with a smile. “Ok, just don’t get into a fight with yourself.”
Kendra's Rainbow dash smirked before running up to Dillan and hugging his arm, pressing it against her chest. "So, what do you do for fun?" She asked with a flutter of her eyelashes, making Dillan blush.
"U-um… i-i like hanging out with my friends…" He said gulping as she leaned in closer, angering Dillan's Rainbow dash.
Dillan’s Rainbow hugged Dillan’s arm to her chest as she got closer. “You also enjoy learning about dinosaurs, right?”
Dillan's blush turned redder as he gulped a bit. "Y-yeah, i-i um. I learned a lot about them…"
"Oh? What else do you like?" Kendras Rainbow dash asked as she rubbed against his arm while biting her lip a bit making his eyes widen.
"I-i…" He mumbled with a gulp.
Dillan’s Rainbow growled softly. “He is kind, smart, funny, handsome, and-”
Dillan blushed more as he looked at his Rainbow dash. "Y-you think all that?"
His Rainbow looked at him confused before she realized what she said and blushed bright red as her wings popped open.
Kendra’s Rainbow dash smirked as she whispered in Dillan's ear. "how about you two use my house for some fun?" She asked him, making him blush redder.
"W-wait a minute!" Dillan said bashfully. "It's true I think Skittles is awesome and cute and cool, and-"
“Y-you think I’m cute?” His Rainbow asked with a squeak in her voice.
Dillan looked at her blushing redder than ever before sighing. "Yes, I do. And I always have."
Kendra couldn't help but giggle softly as she followed them. “That's adorable! I feel like I’m watching a romantic movie.”
Dillan frowned and glanced back at Kendra before looking back at his Rainbow. "I-i have always thought you were cool and cute. A-and I'm sorry for all the pain I've put you through, b-but… l-like I said before I'm… not ready to you know. Date anyone…" He said, making his Rainbow dash look down sadly. "But, I will be one day and I hope you'll be the one…"
Kendra pouted but sighed. “At least they admitted their feelings.” She said to herself, but then the ground exploded around her as large vines grabbed her. She screamed as she was lifted into the air.
“Got her!” A man in armor said with a grin.
Dillan looked at Kendra in shock and worry. "Crap, why do people have to ruin happy moments… Skittles I need my Ultimatrix back."
“R-right uh.” She looked at her arms. “Where did it go!?”
The man and others walked up to Kendra with handcuffs. “We got you now, wild witch.”
Dillan looked to his Rainbow dash and blushed, noticing his Ultimatrix symbol on her chest. "Sorry, no time!" He said reaching out and grabbing the symbol, turning her back to normal before slipping his Ultimatrix back on.
“Let me go! I didn’t do anything wrong, and the coven system is stupid!” Kendra yelled as she struggled in the vines.
"She's right, let her go now!" Dillan yelled, stepping up to them.
“Stay out of this sir, this is a wild witch, and by Celestia's orders she used to be apprehended and taken to be judged and punished.” The man said as he handcuffed Kendra.
Dillan stepped forward and grabbed the guards wrists, twisting them away from Kendra. "I said leave her alone! I don't give a crap who gave you your orders I'm not gonna stand around and watch you abuse a child!"
“Gah! Let go of my wrist bastard!” He yelled as another man made a green magic circle with his finger and vines came out of the ground and wrapped around Dillan.
“You were interfering with royal guard affairs, step out of line again and you will be arrested as well!” The tallest man said. “Don’t make us have to call the golden guard.”
Dillan glared at them as he glanced at Kendra, smirking a bit to her before he pulled his Ultimatrix up and slammed it down. A pillar of flames erupting from around him as he transformed, pushing the guards back as a tall creature made of flame and charcoal stepped forward. "Go ahead."
“It is a demon!” One of the men yelled.
“Fire class, use ice magic!” The tall man ordered as he made a large magic circle and blasted Dillan with an ice cold wind.
Dillan smirked a bit as the flames around him increased. "Not gonna work, I'm not a Demon." He said, blasting the guard with a burst of flame. "I'm an alien."
"Ok… that's awesome." Kendra's Rainbow dash whispered to Dillan's Rainbow dash.
“Yeah, he is cool.” Dillan’s Rainbow said before she looked at her counterpart. “Shouldn't you be helping Kendra?”
"I want to, but if I do and they see me I'll be arrested." Kendra's Rainbow dash said, as Dillan turned and blasted the handcuffs on Kendra with flames making them melt harmlessly.
"Get out of here." Dillan told Kendra before looking back at the guards.
“Kinda hard to run when I am still trapped in vines.” Kendra said with a groan. “Owlbert, wake up, I need your help!” There was the sound of a sleepy hoot as a small owl came out of her bag.
"Sorry, figured you'd be able to get yourself out." Dillan said, glaring at the guards.
"The witch Is escaping, call the golden guard!" One of the guards shouted.
Kendra wiggled as Owlbert pecked at the vines and got her loose. “Thanks, Owlbert!” He turned into staff form and she got on him. “Meet me at the owl house!” She flew off.
Dillan grinned as she flew away, glancing at the two Rainbow Dashes and nudging his head slightly to follow her. Dillan's Rainbow dash nodded once and took her counterpart's arm, following Kendra as Dillan stood off against the guards.
“You are in a lot of trouble!” The tall man yelled as he made a magic circle and large earth hands came up and grabbed Dillan.
Dillan looked at the hands and smirked, returning to his human form before he lifted his Ultimatrix and turned into a huge dinosaur. "No you're in trouble, now you face Humungosaur!"
“What in Celestia’s name is that!?” One of the men yelled.
“Stand your ground men!” The tall man ordered as he slammed a staff with a frog on it, on the ground as magic covered the ground making more hands come out and try to grab Dillan.
Dillan grinned and swung his tail around, destroying the hands in one fell swoop. "You're pathetic."
“On that we can agree, beast.” Someone new said, when Dillan looked up he saw a man in a white cloak, gold mask, standing on a staff that looked more mechanical.
"A golden guard?" Dillan asked, crossing his arms. "I think you misunderstood me, I mean the whole cover thing is pathetic."
“Regardless, the Princess has ordered the capture of any wild witches, and I don’t see a coven mark on you.” He said, his voice was vaguely familiar to Dillan.
“Sir, there was another, a girl. She escaped due to this one's interference.” The tall man said.
"As I said." Dillan said, turning human again. "I don't tolerate child abuse. Besides, I don't really think you have any authority on me. I'm not from this dimension."
“It doesn’t matter, you are here now. If you visit another country do you not have to follow the rules?” The golden guard said as he floated down. “You are adding and abetting a criminal.”
"She's a criminal by your laws. Laws that force others to obey you or else they face the consequences, she's a criminal because of things she can't control." Dillan said with a glare before he started to leave. "You're all pathetic following Celestia's dumb laws like a bunch of sheep, the Celestia from my dimension knows it's wrong to force others to obey."
In a gold blur the golden guard moved in front of Dillan. “It doesn’t matter if the law is stupid, Celestia has her reasons for the law, and you still helped a criminal escape.”
"No, I helped a scared child get away from a bunch of monsters." Dillan said, moving past the guard. "Now leave me alone, or else."
The golden guard was quiet for a moment before he asked. “Does she plan on hurting anyone?”
"No, in fact… she saved me from myself… Blueblood." Dillan whispered to the guard.
“I can call off the guards, but she has to stop teaching others her wild magic.” The golden guard said, not reacting to the name.
"I don't think she's been teaching others her magic… and one other thing. As I said I'm from dimension, and I have knowledge of a reality that this one is becoming eerily similar to. Keep. An eye. On Celestia, otherwise… she might destroy all magic." He said softly, before walking away.
The golden guard watched Dillan walk away before telling the guards to return to their posts and to ignore Kendra unless she causes trouble.
Dillan walked for a while, before leaning on a tree as he held his head. "Damn… maybe transforming so much with my head like this wasn't a good idea…"
“Oh my, are you alright dear?” The voice of Rarity asked as a human version of her walked up to Dillan.
Dillan blinked a few times in confusion as he looked at the human Rarity. "I-i…" he whispered, before falling to the ground unconscious.
Rarity gasped and ran to him, checking him. “Oh dear, this isn’t good.” She pulled out a magic scroll and opened it. “Message to Rainbow and Applejack, I am near the edge of town and found a man that collapsed near a tree, please come help.” She said before sending the messages.
Rarity waited a few minutes before he heard the leaves and bushes rustling behind her as she turned to see Applejack. "Howdy Rarity, did ya scare a guy into a coma with all yer romance talk?" She asked with a teasing grin.
Rarity huffed and frowned. “No, I found him leaning on this tree and then he fell.” She said as she had Dillan’s head on her lap. “I’m not strong enough to move him on my own, but I thought either you or Rainbow could help me get him to the hospital.”
"Well ah don't see why not." Applejack said, as they noticed Rainbow dash flying down to them with a couple of bags of books in her hands.
“Oh good both of you are here now.” Rarity said with a smile. “This man passed out and needs to get to the hospital.” She told Rainbow.
Rainbow looked at Dillan, her eyes widening. "Dillan!? Oh crap his girlfriend isn't gonna be happy…"
“You know this man/fella?” Rarity and Applejack asked at the same time.
"Yeah, he's Kendra's guest. We just left the hospital and he got into a fight with the guards when he protected Kendra." Rainbow said.
Rarity gasped and looked down at him. “This poor man…and he already has a girlfriend? Shoot, he would have been perfect.”
“Rarity, I think you're missing the point that the guards tried to hurt Kendra again.” Applejack said with a frown.
Rainbow dash smirked a bit. "Yeah, and this guy is way cooler than he seems. But let's get him back to the owl house first, and she's not really his girlfriend Rarity. They like each other but he says he's not ready to move on." She said, handing the books to Rarity before picking Dillan up with Applejack.
“The owl house…you mean into the everfree forest? But…wouldn't it be better to take him to the hospital?” Rarity objected, however the other two women were already carrying Dillan into the forest, forcing her to follow.
"Trust me Rarity, he's already been to the hospital. He probably just exhausted himself." Rainbow dash said. "He's like Kendra and has some pretty cool powers, he can turn into aliens!"
"Aliens?" Applejack questioned quizzically.
“I find that rather hard to believe.” Rarity said before doing a double take. “Did you say he is like Kendra? Ripped from his home and thrown into our world?”
Rainbow dash smirked at her friends. "Yup, but not our world." She said, as they got closer to the Owl house.
"Dillan!" They heard a very familiar voice shout, as Dillan's Rainbow dash flew over to them. "What the buck happened!"
“My word! A pony version of Rainbow, I know Kemdra told us about Fluttershy but to see it in person…” Rarity said in shock before Applejack elbowed her. “R-right, sorry. I found him leaning on a tree before he fainted.”
Dillan's Rainbow dash groaned as she slapped her forehead. "I knew I shouldn't have left him alone! Come on get him inside!"
Kendra's Rainbow dash smirked at her friends while gesturing to Dillan's Rainbow dash and then to Dillan as they walked into the Owl house.
Applejack shook her head as Rarity giggled and they brought Dillan inside. “Girls!” Kendra said in surprise then she gasped at seeing Dillan. “Oh no…what did the guard do to him?”
"I don't see anything on his body…" Dillan's Rainbow dash said, looking Dillan over as they set him on the couch. "Knowing this idiot he overdid himself…" she sighed.
“This is all my fault, if I had stayed in the forest then Dillan wouldn’t have to fight the guards to save me…” Kendra said as she started to cry.
Dillan's Rainbow dash looked at her and shook her head. "You we're trying to help us, besides Dillan has always been this way ever since we were kids."
“But the guards never would have bothered him if I wasn’t there.” Kendra said as she pulled her hood over her head and covered her face.
"Kendra. It's alright." Dillan's voice said as he slowly sat up, shaking his head before smiling softly at the crying girl. "It was my choice to fight them, once you were gone I could have teleported away."
She sniffled and hugged Dillan. “I’m so sorry you had to defend me!”
Dillan smiled softly as he rubbed her head, gently rocking her. "Hey, come on. It's alright. I would have done it even if I didn't know you."
“Stuipd.” She weakly said as Dillan's Rainbow nodded her head.
"Yeah, why would you put yourself in danger like that!" Dillan's Rainbow yelled angrily as she stared at him.
"Because I don't tolerate child abuse." Dillan said with a frown, as he gently rubbed Kendras head. "And… well… she reminds me of my nieces…"
Dillan's Rainbow dash's eyes softened as she sighed, sitting next to him. "I'm sorry…"
Applejack put a hand on his shoulder. “Ya lost someone haven’t ya?”
Dillan nodded a bit. "Yeah, my entire biological family…and my fiance and unborn child…"”
Applejack took her hat off. “Ah am sorry fer yer loss. Me and mah family lost mah parents when I was younger, around Kendra’s age. It ain't the same thing but, ah know how ya feel.”
Dillan frowned and looked down at Kendra still in his arms as he rocked her softly, while her Rainbow dash and Rarity watched. "No… you don't…" he whispered sadly.
Dillan’s Rainbow put a hoof on his arm. “Do you need anything?”
Dillan smiled softly at her. "No I'm ok, thank you though."
“Well I have a surprise for ya Kendra.” Applejack said as he turned her hat over and waved her hand with a bracelet on it, over the hole, then she began pulling out lots of bags of food and other items.
“Whoa! Is your hat a bag of holding?” Kendra asked.
Dillan's eyes widened in surprise. "Oh that would be really cool, an actual bag of holding?"
“Kinda, I can’t stuff too much in it and it don't keep things cold or hot, but it helps me carry things around.” Applejack said with a smile. “Twilight whipped it up so ah could bring ya some groceries and other items that all of us pitch together to get you after finding out that the guards have pretty much chased you out of town.”
"Oh! That reminds me!" Dillan said with a smile. "The golden guard said he'll keep the other guards away from you so long as you don't cause any trouble."
“Really?” Kendra asked, suspicious of the offer, before her eyes widened in shock. “Golden guard!?”
Dillan raised an eyebrow in confusion. "Um, yeah why?"
“I didn’t know there was one here! Did they seem different from everyone else? What else did they do?” Kendra asked with worry in her voice.
"He just talked to me basically… I think he agreed that the covet system was dumb but he followed it basically because Celestia said so." Dillan said with a shrug.
Kendra frowned and looked confused. “If he is the same as in the show…his time is almost up and he is going to be replaced soon, if he is thinking like that.”
Dillan frowned at that as he glanced away. "Damn… I hope Blueblood can get away…"
“Blueblood!?” Rarity screamed.
Dillan nodded once. "Yeah, that was the Golden guard. I recognized his voice from our world."
“Ugh, how can someone so rude have such a noble position?” Rarity asked herself.
“Wait, did Kendra say he is gonna die soon?” Dillan’s Rainbow asked.
"Yeah…" Dillan said with a sad sigh. "In the reality we know, someone in a similar position was gonna be killed but he escaped… and Rarity, He's not as bad as you think. In our world he explained that since he's a prince he always has mares after him because of his position, so during the grand galloping gala he did everything he could to not let that happen."
“That doesn’t excuse his behavior.” Rarity said with a frown.
“Rarity, ya were going after him like a dog in heat.” Applejack said with a roll of her eyes.
"Yeah, I mean if some random guy was after you and you wouldn't take no for an answer how would you react?" Dillan asked, looking down at Kendra still in his arms.
Kendra had passed out and was sleeping peacefully in his arms. “Well…I suppose when you word it like that…” Rarity said with a sigh.
"I'm just saying, perspective is a powerful thing." Dillan said, gently picking up Kendra and laying her on the couch before covering her up.
"Wow, you're really good with kids." Applejack said with a grin.
“Damn right he is.” Dillan’s Rainbow said with a grin.
“How long are you gonna stay here darling?” Rarity asked as she looked him over with a sparkle in her eye.
Dillan blushed at the tone in Rarity's voice as His Rainbow dash glared at her. "U-um… I-i'm not sure… we didn't exactly plan anything…" he said, gulping as Rarity and Kendra's Rainbow dash got on each side of him.
“I would love to make you some outfits darling!” Rarity said with a giggle.
"I bet I can show you a good time." Kendras Rainbow dash said, before Dillan's Rainbow dash pulled him away from the two with a glare at them.
"Back off!" She said angrily as Dillan stood around the girls awkwardly.
“Rainbow! How very rude, I am offering to make this young man a new outfit and you push him and yell at us?” Rarity said to Dillan’s Rainbow.
Applejack smirked a bit. "Ah think she's worried yer trying ta steal her guy."
Rarity gasped overdramatic Lee and put a hand to her forehead. “I would never try to steal someone’s boyfriend.”
Dillan's Rainbow dash blushed red. "H-he's not my colt friend!"
"Yeah, they're just friends." Kendras Rainbow said with a grin. "Which means if he wanted to he could have… fun with any one of us." She said making Dillan blush redder as his nose began to bleed.
Applejack shook her head. “Girls, if ya are gonna fight over him, do it away from him. Ya are makin him redder than one of our families apples.”
Kendra's Rainbow dash smirked at Applejack. "Don't act like you're not interested, after all imagine the stress relief." She said as Dillan tried sneaking away.
Applejack groaned and lowered her hat. “Girls, ah know ya have been wantin me to find a boyfriend but fighting over someone who ain’t interested isn't very productive.”
"I don't think he wouldn't be interested, it's just some stress relief." Kendras Rainbow dash said, glancing at Dillan and smirking as he tried to get away. "It looks like his friend is UP for it."
Dillan's Rainbow dash frowned a bit as she looked at Dillan. "Dillan!"
"What?! I'm still a guy you know, having multiple pretty girls fighting over me isn't exactly what I'm used to!" Dillan said defensively as he looked away with a deep blush.
Applejack blushed lightly and shook her head. “Girls, seriously if he ain't comfortable with talking about the stuff we should just drop it.”
"I-its not that I'm… uncomfortable with it… o-or fully against the idea truth be told…" Dillan said softly. "I-i'm just not um… used to all the attention."
"So you would be interested in having some fun with us?" Kendra's Rainbow dash asked with a grin as Dillan's Rainbow dash frowned and looked away.
Applejack looked over at Dillan’s Rainbow and frowned before she yelled at the others. “Girls, look at Rainbow. How would you feel if a random woman hits on a guy you like right in front of you.”
Kendra's Rainbow and Rarity looked at Dillan's Rainbow dash, rubbing the back of their heads. "Sorry… I know you must be upset…" Kendra's Rainbow said
“Yes, I didn’t mean to upset you dear.” Rarity said with a sigh.
Dillan glanced at his Rainbow dash and smiled softly, slowly walking over and kneeling down in front of her. "I'm sorry Skittles… I just got done saying that i-i um… well that I hope it'll be you when I'm ready to start dating again… and then this…"
Dillan's Rainbow smiled softly, nuzzling his cheek. "It's alright… after everything I suppose… I wouldn't mind if you had a little fun… so long as I can watch for notes." She said with a grin, shocking everyone.
“Watch what?” Kendra asked sleepily as she slowly sat up.
"Nothing!" All the adults said together, as Dillan gulped a bit.
"T-they just keep teasing me…" He said, before his Rainbow dash whispered in his ear making him blush deeper. "Stop it!"
Kendra yawned and got up. “I am sorry for falling asleep.”
Dillan sighed a bit and smiled softly at her. "Hey it's ok, things have been stressful."
Kendra looked around at everyone before getting up. “Um…I was thinking…could you…um..give me something to help me survive on my own? As much as I would love to have magic…I think it would be best if I stick with glyphs for now.”
Dillan hummed a bit as he held his chin. "Well… how about Swampfire? He's a plant based alien that can manipulate plants and shoot flames, that way you could grow food easier and use the flames for self defense."
Kendra tapped her chin. “I guess so, as long as I am not turned into a freak.”
"You shouldn't, if anything you'll probably just get small holes in your hands to shoot flames which are easily concealable." Dillan said with a small smile.
“I can make you some fashionable gloves dear.” Rarity added with a smile.
Kendra thought about it for a moment before she nodded. “Ok, do it.”
Dillan smiled softly and held up his Ultimatrix. "Splice target with Methanosian DNA." He said before a yellow beam of light washed over Kendra.
Kendra shivered as her hair changed to be red and leafy, then she lifted her hands and looked as a hole formed in each palm. “This feels so strange.”
"It'll take some time to get used to." Dillan said with a small smile. "I can train you the basics for your powers."
“Ok, but we shouldn’t do it near the owl house.” She said with a small smile. “I don’t want to scare Hooty.”
"Right… Do you know any good spots to train?" He asked her, as His Rainbow dash smiled softly while watching him.
“Nope, I have only been here, Ponyville, Applejack’s farm, and Zecora’s hut.” Kendra said with a shrug.
Dillan hummed again as he held his chin. "Well… I could use one of my forms to put up a barrier around us while we train so Hooty won't get scared."
“Ok, if you think it would work.” Kendra said.
Dillan smiled softly as he stood up. "Alright, we'll start in a little bit so I can set up the area."
"Don't forget you also promised to spend time with all of us." Kendra's Rainbow dash said with a smirk as all the girls behind him giggled a bit aside from Applejack who smirked.
"Oh boy…" He mumbled softly before going outside. "Come on Kendra!"
“What do they mean by fun?” Kendra asked with a raised eyebrow, however she never got that answer as Dillan forced on training her for an hour. Once she had a good grasp of her new powers the three human women grabbed Dillan and took him inside while Dillan’s Rainbow pushed King outside.
"Don't worry, we'll be done in a few hours!" She said before closing the door in Kendra's confused face.
