Thunder: Skittles is a Quick Fuse

My name is Christopher Anthony, and I was the former protector of Ashton City. A few hours ago I was sent to an unknown world/universe by someone who called himself ‘The Merchant’. I now have to survive whatever this world throws at me if I’m ever going to get back home. Even if it means protecting these magical technicolored horses. With Arael and Kaimon by my side, I solemnly swear to get back home to my lover and friends before all Hades breaks loose. If my name isn’t…
Thunderstruck…

Episode 2

Skittles is a Quick Fuse

3rd Person POV
A Doctor and several nurses rushed through the hospital wheeling a small orange colt down the halls. The colt had a series of cuts and bruises scattered across his body. When they reached their destination, the nurses began to hook various machines to the colt while the unicorns performed a series of scans with their magic.

“The colt is around 12 years of age, part Imperial Pegasus, and Sanguine Thestral. He has sustained serious internal damage from the impact. A few broken bones in his legs, wings, chest, and back. Some internal bleeding and punctured organs,” The Doctor assessed, the nurses began assembling all the needed utensils and equipment. As they were about to begin the operation one of the nurses spotted something that garnered a few looks.

The colt’s wounds began to mend themselves before their very eyes. The doctors did another scan only to stare in shock. They found that his injuries began to heal themselves at an accelerated rate. Bones fused back together, blood vessels and organs sealed up. The nerves in the spine even began to heal.

“Wa-what… how’s this happening? Only an Alicorn could heal like this. Even then… it’s not this quick. The rate of the healing is unnatural.” The doctor decided to move him into a regular room and have one of the nurses monitor his condition before sending Nurse Redheart to talk with a Miss Rainbow Dash.

I was having a nice dream, flying with the Wonderbolts. Soaring through the air with Spitfire and Soarin trailing behind me. As I sped off, I heard a voice call out to me. Looking I saw Twilight calling out to me with a longing gaze. Softly, I landed in front of her. Stretching out my wings to wrap around Twilight as we drew closer together. I could almost taste her sweet lips, but before our lips could meet I was rudely awoken by Nurse Redheart as she tried to nudge me awake.

“Urg… Just five more minutes,” I groaned out as I shifted my weight, trying to find a more comfortable position. This caused Redheart to roll her eyes at me before grabbing my tail and yanking me off the chair. My face kissed the ground with a graceful smack. Slowly, I got up, rubbing my sore face. Quickly stretching my legs and wings before giving Nurse Redheart my attention. “Urg… fine. I’m up, whatcha need?” I asked her, she quickly pulled out a clipboard and skimmed through the information before looking back to me.

“Can you tell me exactly how you came across the young colt?” She began to ask. I thought about the question for a couple seconds before responding immediately. “To be honest with you. I had just came home when I saw the hole in my wall and the trail of blood,” I responded, Redheart pondered this for a moment. “Do you have any thoughts as to how he could’ve ended up in the condition he was found?” I began to think about the condition my house was in. “If I had to guess. I’d say, he might’ve been flying really fast and couldn’t slow down or change course before crashing into my wall,” Nurse Redheart checked her clipboard again. “That’s what we assumed as well, which would explain the injuries sustained. Is there anything else you could tell me about him?” I thought about her question a bit. “Sorry, I got nothing. Oh, but I did grab this. It fell off when you put him on the gurney,” I handed Redheart the amulet before a new voice graced my ears. “Rainbow! Are you ok, I saw you flying pretty fast to get here. Did you get hurt or did something happened,” Twilight asked as she came towards me with a worried look on her face. My heart began to race suddenly upon seeing her. Trying to play off my nervousness I answered, “No, I’m alright. Just some colt crashed into my house so I brought him here,” Twilight looked visibly relieved when I told her. Ok, that’s good to hear,” Twilight beamed. She was about to leave when Nurse Redheart called out to her.“

“Um… excuse me, Miss Twilight? I might need your magical expertise on something. Some of the scans on the colt Miss Dash brought in might need some checking,” Redheart told Twilight before leading her deeper into the hospital. I decided to join them just in case something happened or if Twilight needed my help.

Beep...Beep...Beep…
I groaned as I shifted under the covers. But no matter what I did, I couldn’t drown out the noise. I sighed before slowly opening up my eyes. They slightly stung when the wall of light hit my vision. Groaning as I sat up slowly. The pressure of bandages kept me from moving as much along with the small aching of limbs from the injuries that I had sustained. I reached my hands to rub my face. Though something felt off, I didn’t feel my hands, instead, I felt soft furry stubs, almost like hooves. I opened my eyes once again to figure out what was going on. Staring at what used to be my hands, but they were replaced with burnt orange stumps.

Confused for a second, I tried to move my fingers only to feel weird traction spikes flex in and out of my… hoof. It was weird, I kept observing my new limbs now taking a closer look at my body.

“What the hell happen to me?” I muttered. Looking around the room before pulling off the covers, which revealed the rest of my alien body. I just stared at the series of bandages covering me. I seemed to have fur all over me if those small tufts around the bandages said anything. My legs seemed to be quadrupedal in shape. “Am I a horse?” I asked before the sounds of talking graced my ears. I felt something on my head move towards the origin of the noise. Moving my hoof up to my head to see what they were. Though I couldn’t find my ears until I moved further up.

“What are these things, Wait… Are those my ears? Why are they so large?” I played around with them for a little bit before getting off the bed and kissing the floor. I attempted to get up and balance myself on my four short and stubby legs. It was a little difficult but I was really surprised when two large limbs shot out from my back. I looked to my left to see a large orange feathery wing spreading out.

“Holy shit! I have wings,” I exclaimed as I poked and prodded the feathery mass on my left. I looked to my right to see something completely different. Instead of feathers, I saw a leathery bat-like wing covered in small amounts of fur. “That’s odd. Why are they different? Is it because I have an angel and demon in me? Speaking of angels and demons… where’s Kai and Arael?” I looked around the room before placing my hoof where my amulet should’ve been. But to my horror, it wasn’t there. Beginning to panic, I frantically searched the drawers next to me. But to my dismay, it was nowhere to be found. “God Damnit! It probably fell off when I crashed.” I sighed before deciding to go look for it.

The good thing about having a connection to the amulet is that once it’s been activated, I could draw magic from the mana pools in my soul, though it’s not as strong or powerful as it would be when wearing the amulet. Closing my eyes and silently cast a tracking spell and focused it towards the amulet’s aura. Almost immediately, I was able to lock on. Meaning it was really close by. About to leave the room when something caught my eye. I turned my head to see my clothes and belongings folded neatly on the chair next to me. I have no idea how I could’ve missed it but I’m glad I didn’t. Grabbing my shirt and hoodie and putting it on before grabbing my phone, wallet, and headphones. Deciding to leave my pants and shoes seeing as how they probably wouldn’t feel right on my new body. Slowly I opened the door and used my new ears to listen down the hall.

“Ok all clear,” slowly and silently I left the room and tried my best to stay alert as I stumbled down the hall. So far everything was going great as I followed the magical tracker I’d made for myself. But unfortunately, my luck ran out as my ears shot up to the sounds of hoofs and talking. “Shit!” I muttered as I tried my best to find a place to hide. Hastily I searched around and to my relief, I’d found a broom closet. Hurryingly yanked it open and jumped inside, closing the door behind me. Peeking through the cracks I watched as four... technicolored… horses? Passed by me. They seemed to have been talking though I couldn’t understand what they were speaking. “What on God’s earth?”

Slowly, I backed up before accidentally knocking over a broom. The loud noise startled me, causing me to jump and trip over a small mop bucket. Trying to use my new wings to stop myself but my attempts were in vain. I tumbled out of the closet with an assortment of cleaning supplies falling on top of me.

“{What was that?}” I think one of the horses found me. Just laying there with my eyes closed, I heard the clip-clopping of hooves as they slowly got closer. When the sound stopped, slowly I cracked open my eye to see a really angry horse staring at me. I think it might’ve been a nurse if the little hat meant anything. I just sighed and banged my head against the floor. “Damnit, Damnit, Damnit…” I repeated before a weird purple haze surrounded me. It felt uncomfortable, almost like a pins and needles feeling on my skin. Nearly freaking out at the weird sensation. I thrashed and struggled against the force. But to no avail. “Hey! Put me down, Goddamnit!” I exclaimed as they began to take me back to the room I had woke up in.

Stopping my struggle against the unknown force, I took a closer look at my captures. The first one, whom I assume was a nurse, was kind of a soft white and its hair was a light rose pink. The second one on the other hand just screamed gay pride at me. It was a Pegasus if the wings said anything, it was more of a sky blue or cyan in color with messy, prismatic, rainbow hair. The last one confused me the most. It didn’t have wings like Skittles but a horn instead. It was a lavender purple unicorn, the hair was a navy blue with purple and pink streaks running through it. But what really caught my eye was the exact same purple haze that surrounded me, was also around her horn.

“Oi! Purple horse! Do ya mind putting me down? This stuff’s not comfortable ya know!” I scolded her whilst crossing my… I guess you’d call them forelegs huh? She just looked at me with a confused look on her face. She turned to the nurse. “{Did you understand what he just said?}” The purple horse spoke in its weird language, clearly asking a question. The nurse shook its head. To which I assume means no. “Hey!? Do any of y’all understand English? Hello? Trying to communicate here!” I kept getting confused looks as they continued to talk to each other.

Deciding that any attempts at communicating weren’t working I activated my tracking spell. I was greeted with both good and bad news. The good news was that the amulet was nearby, the bad news was that one of these equines had it on them. Though I couldn’t visually see it. ‘Maybe if I called out to it… I think that idea would work,’ closing my eyes, I focused on the amulet’s magic. feeling my mana pools grow slowly as it’s magic poured into me. “Just a little more…” I muttered.

I was so close to my goal when something went completely wrong. My magic began to react badly with whatever the haze around me was. Opening my eyes, I noticed we were back in that room from earlier but that was the least of my worries. I was more focused on the crimson red lightning and mist surrounding me. Only one thought passed through my mind at that very moment. “Uh oh…” The magic began to build up until it was too much. A small explosion happened, discharging all the magic in the room. I was thrown back hitting my head before blacking out.

I think it was a few minutes later when I began to regain consciousness. I groaned, slowly lifting myself up. “Ugh… Jesus H. Christ, did anyone catch the number of that semi?” I groaned out as I stumbled onto my hooves. Shaking my head a little I got a better look of the room. Everyone was KOed from the magical discharge, which was good for me in terms of escaping. Quickly looking myself over before carefully making my way over towards the door. I stopped to notice a small blue glow off to my right. I looked over to see my amulet… around the neck of the nurse… who also happened to be staring at me… with very familiar lightning blue eyes and a shit-eating grin.

“<Ello Chris. How are ya?>” Kaimon taunted. It was weird. When they spoke it sounded like a combination between the Nurse and Demon. “I’m doing… decent. How are you possessing her? Doesn’t that take a lot of energy to do?” I asked. In all honesty, I was very confused. “<Well to answer your question mate. On someone who isn’t wearing the amulet, it does drain us exponentially. Which is why we don’t even try. Practically pointless.>” Kai shook their head before looking back at me with his electric blue eyes. “<But if someone were to wear the amulet. We’d already have a direct connection. But the problem with that is. Their body isn’t strong enough to hold both an Angel and Demon, even more so when inhabited by a human soul.>” Kai said while summoning a bottle of scotch out of nowhere. “<So Chris, I’m a demon of business. I'll get you out of here, along with the needed requirements for our little operation. But, if I do so, I have full rights to increase your training whether you like you or not. Deal?>”

I contemplated his offer for a little bit. ‘Do I really need his help for this... then again, I'm in foreign territory here.’ Opening my mouth to speak when I noticed something different about the nurse. Her eyes went from electric blue to lunar silver. “~I promise you, Christopher, I wouldn’t listen to him. Though he wasn’t wrong about the whole possession thing. Unless this lovely Nurse removes the amulet from around her neck and gives it to you. Her body will...~” Arael was interrupted by the sounds of others waking up. Our heads snapped towards the other two horses in the room. “Shit!” I cursed when I noticed two large purple eyes come in contact with mine. The equine then briefly shook its head before standing up and checking up on the unconscious skittles. It put its hoof in front of the pegasus’ mouth and held it there for a few seconds. It visibly sighed in relief.

“Thank Celestia. She’s still breathing,” my jaw dropped at what I heard. She… definitely a she, looked at me with confusion written on her face. “Why are you staring at me? Do I have something on my face?” She seemed to have become more frantic as she panicked. “N-no it’s just… I-I can understand you. And I-I mean, I can fully understand you,” I’m pretty sure my jaw was scraping the floor right now. And I’m pretty sure I saw hers drop too. I just chuckled at the sight before looking back at Arael. “I think I broke her. What do you think?” I just continued to snicker at her reaction.

“Well, anyway. I believe I’ve overstayed my welcome. Imma bounce now,” Barely even a step could be made before I was once again surrounded by that same purple haze. Groaning in frustrations as I floated onto the bed I had woke up on. “You know, if you didn’t want me to leave, you could’ve asked,” I rudely stated at the purple menace before me. “Sorry, it’s just that you can’t exactly leave without being signed out by a legal parent or guardian,” Purple smiled sheepishly before directing her attention towards the Nurse. Her eyes were back to the plain old brown they were before, though they told me that nobody was home at the moment.

“Now, I do believe Nurse Redheart has a few questions for you. Right?” Redheart seemed to have snapped out of it, she briefly shook her head before looking at us. She seemed confused for a moment. “Oh right, yes sorry. I just spaced out for a moment. I have this annoying headache for some reason. Anyway, let me go fetch another clipboard,” Redheart quickly left the room, leaving me with Purple staring at me with a very curious look on her face. Looking around, trying to figure out how to break the tension in the air. My wings ruffled themselves in discomfort.

“So… are you just gonna look at me all creepily or are you gonna say something?” I asked as she seemed to have gotten closer to me. Purple reared back with a small blush on her face, obviously of embarrassment.

“Sorry, it’s just that I’ve never seen anypony like you before. And I don’t believe I’ve ever heard of any language that even comes close to what you spoke. I guess my curiosity may have gotten the best of me,” Purple smiled sheepishly while rubbing the back of her head with her hoof. “You know, there’s a saying back where I come from about that. ‘Curiosity killed the cat,’” Her face scrunched up in what I believe to be disgust. “What!? That’s just… who would say something so cruel?” I chuckled at her reaction. “You didn’t even let me finish, but the immediate reaction was so worth it,” I snickered, “The saying goes, ‘curiosity killed the cat, but the satisfaction brought it back.’ Though the first half is the more common,” I said with a grin. Purple seemed a little calmer now. Though our conversation was interrupted by the awakening of Skittles.

“Agh… My head…” she groaned. Purple seemed to have made her way over to Skittles. I on the other hand, just sat there with my former legs crossed. “Ooh, Rainbow are you alright?” Purple asked ‘Rainbow’ in concern. “Meh, I’m sure Skittles is fine. What doesn’t kill ya makes you stronger ya know,” I shrugged nonchalantly which garnered a couple glares from the two. “What? It’s true,” I defended, Rainbow was just about to retort before Redheart interrupted with her graceful entrance.

“Ahh, I’m back. Now, sweetie, I have some questions to ask you. Do you mind answering them for me?” Redheart asked sweetly. “Meh, sure. Why the hell not? Fire away,” I said gesturing towards her. “Great, first off. Could you tell me your name?” My brain froze for a moment. ‘Would Chris work as a legitimate name here. Maybe the rules are different. Let's think about this. I don’t know Purple’s name, but I do know Skittles’ and the Nurse’s name. Wait a minute…’ “Say, I never got y’alls names. All of y’all are technically strangers to me,” I pointed out, hoping that my BS claim worked. “Oh, where are my manners then. I’m Nurse Redheart, the unicorn over there is Twilight Sparkle, and the pegasus is Rainbow Dash,” Redheart introduced. “Ok, thank you. Now as for my name… it’s… Blitzen… Dragonfire,” Hoping that my fake smile sold it. “Ok then Blitzen, now could you tell me when you were born?” Oh man, this one’s easy. “Yeah, it’s February 28, 2002,” I told her. Though both Twilight and Redheart raised their eyebrow in confusion. “Your joking right?” Twilight asked. “No, why would I joke about my age. I may be 16 but I wouldn’t joke about my DOB.” Crossing my arms a little ticked off at the accusation.

“Well… about that. When we scanned you for any further injuries, the results also gave us your physical age. From what we deduced, you were at least 12 years old.” Nurse Redheart read off from her clipboard. I think I could hear Kai’s laughter, even if he is in the Nurse’s head. I think my sanity just said ‘sayonara’ and bounced. “I’m sorry but, did you just say I’m 12?” I asked in denial. “Yes, plus the year and month don’t make sense whatsoever. I believe the month you're looking for is Fetlruary, and it wouldn’t be 2002 for another 997 years.” Inhaling deeply, I slowly opened my eyes and exhaled. “Well shit,” The words just flopped out my mouth like salmon on dry land. I swear I almost pissed myself at the looks I was getting. “What’d I say?” Nurse Redheart promptly grabbed me, somehow, and brought me over to the bathroom in the corner. Bringing me over to the sink, I watched her reach for the bar of soap. “Wait wait wait wait wait! We could talk about this!” My mouth was then assaulted by soapy agony. I have never tasted anything as bad as soap before in my life, and there is no way in hell I wanna taste that again. “Bleh, ah sweet Jesus. I think my taste buds died,” The nurse just rolled her eyes before bringing me back to the room. Charging up my wings, I shocked her, earning me a very satisfying yelp. With a smile on my face, I was once again back on the bed.

“Well, at least we got an idea of your date of birth, 2-28-993 CR,” Redheart scribbled down, though the date confused me for a second. “CR? What does that mean?” Tilting my head in confusion. Twilight just looked at me with a raised eyebrow. “That’s the year, 993 CR, as in Celestia’s Reign.” I just looked at her like she grew a second head. “But last time I checked it’d be 993 AD, Anno Domini, in the Year of our Lord.” I countered knowing full well that our calendars are probably very different. “As in 993 years after the birth of Christ. Which, in all honesty, sounds more realistic than someone ruling for 993 years. I mean seriously, immortality is nothing but myth and folklore,” I commented, earning a few looks from the equines in front of me. And in all honesty, that statement was probably very hypocritical since I’m practically immortal in my magical state. Plus I have a demon and angel making residence in my noggin of knowledge.

Looking towards Twilight, I noticed she was writing down something and what appeared to be an old parchment scroll with a feather quill. I just stared at her trying to figure out what she was doing. “Are you seriously taking notes about what I’m saying?” Twilight looked at with red cheeks and a sheepish smile, she quickly rolled up the scroll and quill, in what I believe is her ‘magic’, and poofed it away. Shaking my head, I didn’t question the fact that she was definitely a scholar.

“So, anywho. Any other questions besides those two or...?” Tapping my hoof in anticipation I saw Redheart looking through her clipboard of questions before her face lit up. “Just a couple more, now. Can you tell us who your parents are so that we could contact them?” I froze, mouth half open. “Uhhh….” Looking between them, my mind raced. “My parents? Um… uh… they’re, um uh… d-dead, killed, murdered, deceased.” I lied with a wide nervous grin plastered on my face. Looking around, I saw everyone’s ears fall back as looks of concern cross their features.

“I’m sorry, we didn’t know. If it’s not too much to ask, could you tell us their names? You don’t have to if you don’t want to, I don’t want to upset you.” Redheart said with concern and sympathy. ‘I can’t believe they bought it!’ “No, no. It’s perfectly fine. I’ve accepted it a long time ago. Let’s see. My mother’s name was… Crystal Grace and my father’s was… Draco Flame.” I told her, I mean technically they weren’t made up. They were the closest words to my parents’ middle and first names.

“Thank you, Blitzen. They sound like lovely ponies. Do you have any immediate family that you could stay with?” ‘Shit! I didn’t plan this far. Wait! Maybe I could get them to leave me be.’ “Sorry, I don’t know anyone else besides my younger sister Aurora Skies. And I don’t even know where she is.” I explained to her. Redheart seemed to have been contemplating something. Which worried me.

“Hmm, well thank you for all the information. I’ll see if I can find any of your family to take you in. If not then we’ll put you into the foster care system.” Redheart said before leaving me with Twilight and Rainbow. Looking over at them I made a few inquiries. Rainbow’s still looking at me like I’m a disaster waiting to happen. Twilight, on the other hand, seemed to be writing a bunch of things down. Maybe notes.

“So, quick question, where exactly am I?” Might as well figure out where I am if I’m gonna live here for the time being. “Oh, you’re currently in Ponyville General, it’s the local hospital for our little town.” Twilight answered “Seriously, who name’s a town Ponyville. I bet you ten bucks they were snorting crack when they named it.” That apparently didn’t settle well with Skittles as she flew right up to me. “Hey! Ponyville is not a stupid name. I bet you it’s better than whatever town you're from!” Rainbow emphasized as she glared at me. “Actually it is. I happen to like Ashton City. A city of new dawns where anyone can rise from the ashes anew like the Phoenix of myth.” I said smugly.

“You know, I’ve noticed something. You keep saying every-one and any-one rather than every-pony or any-pony. Why is that?” Twilight asked breaking the argument we were having. “Well, it’s simple. It’s just how our society’s terminology is. It’s less focused on a single species and more of the broader spectrum. Saying any-one rather than any-pony sounds less racist er speciest.” I explained to her. “Anyway, before we got off topic with Skittles’ short fuse over here. Could you tell me more about my location? I’m sure there’s more info than just the city er town.”

“Oh sure. Well as you know were in the town of Ponyville which resides in the Kingdom of Equestria.” Twilight told me which got the gears in my head turning. “Equestria… where exactly is that? I don’t believe I’ve heard of it.” Deciding to play dumb on the account that this is probably a whole separate planet to begin with. What am I talking about, it’s definitely a different planet than Earth. “Really? I thought everypony’s heard of us. Then again, your accent isn’t one I’ve heard of before. Same with that language you were speaking earlier. Where did you say you were from again?” Twilight summoned a book and appeared to be looking through it for something. “Well, I come from The United States of America. Though most either call it the US, or America.” I told them.

Twilight was frantically searching through her book. Maybe trying to find any reference to it. “I’ve never heard of this A-mare-ica before. It might be beyond the Luna Seas…” Twilight kept muttering to herself. “If it helps you any better. We are what most call the Western world as the West is always seen as more advanced and ideal than the East. A land of freedom and independence. Where everyone has the rights to Life, Liberty, and Pursuit of Happiness. Land of the Free, Home of the Brave.” I praised to her. She seemed to be drinking all this information in as her quill zoomed across the parchment like Barry in Central City.

The door creaked open, stopping all activity in the room. Redheart strolled in with a small bounce in her step. Though, it was her eyes that caught my attention. They were a mixture of silver and blue, almost like slate or cool grey. “Well, I have good news, and bad news,” Redheart announced to us. Which put me on edge. I knew for a fact that Redheart wasn’t home at the moment. “Well, the bad news is that we couldn’t find any information of Blitzen in our files. Which means no family could be contacted, but we haven’t extended our search to international yet. As for the good news, we were able to find a couple of ponies to look after Blitzen until either adoption or he becomes a legal adult.” She explained to us. ‘Wait, who’s watching me?’ Redheart looked at me before making her way over. “As for you. Since it’s a Friday, you’ll be going home with Miss Dash as she will be housing you during the week while Miss Sparkle has you on the weekends.”

Everyone’s jaws dropped. “W-wait a minute. Is that even legal!? I’m pretty sure only one of them has applied for Foster care and it sure as hell ain’t Gay Pride over there!” Glaring at the Demon while pointing my hoof towards Rainbow. “Hey! I’m not a Filly-fooler!” Rainbow was briefly held back by Twilight’s magic. “Well, I was planning on a different arrangement but a compatriot of mine persuaded me not to. So I’d be grateful for the arrangement.” Redheart said before handing… er… hoofing me my amulet and leaving the room. “Hijo de puta!” I shouted, slamming my hoof into the bed.

Rainbow and I strolled through the streets of… Ponyville. Honestly still trying to figure out who came up that name. I had my headphones on, listening to some music as I observed the medieval-looking town. I did earn a few odd looks from the other ‘ponies’, as Twilight informed me. If they didn’t like how I looked, then they can shove up their bums while I jam out to some rock & roll. Another thing I found out about my body besides my chimera wings was that my eyes are very sensitive to sunlight, and they take a little longer to adjust. Of course, I solved that issue by keeping my hood up as we strolled through. Looking over to Rainbow, I noticed she had a small frown on her face.

“You know, I understand that you probably don’t like me but moping around ain’t gonna solve anything.” I proclaimed earning a look from Rainbow, who just scowled at me. “I wouldn’t be moping around if I wasn’t forced into fostering you,” she growled which earned a chuckle or two from me. “That ain’t my fault princess. If I could leave this place, I would. But I need shelter for the time being, or at least until one of my buddies will find me. And I have ten bucks saying Barry will get me.” I told her <I feel hurt. Do you trust a speedster more than us who reside inside your head.> Kai mocked ~Put a sock in it Kaimon. Bartholomew hasn’t done anything to warrant your hatred. I have high hopes that he’ll find us.~ Arael countered. Groaning as they began their antics again.

“You know what Skittles., I’m tired. What’s the quickest way to your place?” I asked “My name isn’t Skittles! It’s Rainbow Dash!” Rainbow seethed. “Yeah? And I’m Holy Jesus.” I retorted sarcastically. Rainbow was about to retort before something pink assaulted my vision and eardrums.

“HiMyNameIsPinkiePieAndYouMustBeNewCauseI’veNeverSeenYouBeforeWhichMeansThatYou’reDefinitelyNewThoughIt’sReallyStrangeCauseMyPinkieSenseToldMeThereWasGonnaBeThreeNewPoniesInPonyvilleTodayButI’veLookedEverywhereAndThenIThoughtThatTheyMustBeHidingSomewhereButIThoughtThatWasSillyWhoWouldHideFromPinkiePie…” I think my brain just died. <Nope, just struggling to process whatever the pink menace is saying> Kai stated ~How can a mortal speak so fast... and without breathing?~ Arael asked. “I have absolutely no idea. Maybe if we slowly sneak around her, she won’t notice us.” I whispered, slowly shuffling around the pink pony. When I was far enough away, I bolted and dove past a nearby corner. Poking my head out, I noticed that she was still talking. Also, Rainbow just ditched me! Friggin asshole!

Sighing as I looked around for where she might’ve gone, I quickly spotted something that made my blood boil. There was a small purple unicorn with blond hair getting bullied by two regular ponies, one pink with an off purple and white hair and a tiara, the other was grey with silver hair and glasses. I abandoned all thought and calmly made my way over.

Taking off my headphones as I got closer to the tormentors. “So what’s it like to be a clutz like your mom.” The pink one taunted “My mommy’s not a clutz, she just makes mistakes,” The purple one cried. I had enough. Standing behind the pink pony, I cleared my throat which made them stop and look at me. The pink one looked unimpressed as she eyed me.

“What do you want?” She rudely asked me. Deciding to have a little fun, I mean come on, it wouldn’t be me if it wasn’t snarky or sarcastic. “I dunno. I was hoping for world peace, but I’m good with a slice of cheesecake or two.” I replied nonchalantly which made Kai laugh and Arael snicker. She obviously didn’t like that response but I honestly couldn’t care less. I just walked past her and made my way closer to the bully’s victim.

“Hey, you alright? I couldn’t help but notice a bunch of jealous idiots making fun o’ ya,” I asked, offering my hoof to her. She looked up at me, her eyes filled with uncertainty. I just gave her a warm smile even if she couldn’t see it easily. “Th-thanks,” she said grabbing my hoof, which felt very weird by the way, and pulled herself up. She just kept looking at me, trying to figure out why I was helping her. Though the moment was over when I heard the other pony scoff at us. Turning to see her looking at me with disgust, like I had done something impolitely.

“You know, I’m not surprised that a worthless freak like you would help an air-headed clutz like her.” I froze right then and there. Anger burned through my veins at the insult. Turning around to face her, I could see the smug look fall from her face, fear and regret taking over. Lightning encompasses me, wrapping around me like snakes. Staring at her before grinning. “I’m not surprised that jealous brat with parent issues bullies others that are better than her,” I smiled and left with the other pony in tow. I wish I could’ve seen the look on her face cause I bet she was really pissed off. <Hahaha! That was beautiful.> Kai praised, laughing his ass off. ~Although, you could’ve been nicer. She did deserve it.~ Arael said thoughtfully ‘Well, either way. She was acting like a complete ass.’

Stopping to check up on the pony I helped out. She wasn’t injured physically, maybe a little upset but overall alright. “Hey um uh…” she stuttered, probably just nervous. “Uh, I-uh wanted to thank you for what you did back there. Nopony’s ever stood up for me. I’m Dinky Doo,” she thanked me and offered a hoof shake. I did the same and shook her hoof. “Blitzen Dragonfire, it was nothing. I’m just a guy who doesn’t like bullies, it’s what I do,” I said sincerely. It always felt nice to help someone out. It’s one of the main reasons why I took up the hero business when I got my powers. Of course, I couldn’t have done it without the help of Barry and Lynn… I miss them, I need to get back home as soon as I can. Waving Dinky goodbye, I headed off in my original direction.

I didn’t make it very far before a certain pink pony literally popped out of a barrel. “Oh, there you are. I’ve been looking everywhere for you. I told Rainbow Dash that I’d find you and I did,” Pinkie said bouncing around me. I was about to respond when she grabbed me and somehow, someway, teleported us to an entirely different location.

I just looked around, taking in the change of scenery, though I noticed one simple detail. I was standing on a cloud… without using my magic! I think my brain just died again. Looking to her trying to wrap my head around her defiance of reality. “Wait a minute, how’d you that!?” I asked her. “Do what?” She questioned before bouncing past me. Carefully walking over while keeping a keen eye on the cloud below me. I caught up with Pinkie as we stood before a really nice looking door. Looking at Pinkie, I spotted a bunch of balloons attached to her. “Where the hell did the…” I was cut off when the door opened to reveal Skittles. She looked at Pinkie and smiled, then her eyes spotted me. Her smile deflated in an instant. I just grinned and put an innocent look on my face.

“Hey Skittles, long time no see. How’s the weather?” I taunted. She gritted her teeth before responding “Just peachy *sigh* Thanks Pinkie for finding Blitzen and... bringing him... here.” She lied with a strained smile. “Oh silly filly, it was nothing,” Pinkie said before rubbing my head leaving. Rainbow and I had a small staring contest before she sighed and let me in. I walked in to see a large hole in the wall and some blood down the hallway. Rainbow cleared her throat which grabbed my attention.

“So, here’s how this is gonna go. Your room is upstairs, second door on the right. The bathroom is down the hall and the kitchen is over there. Now I don’t like you and you don’t like me. So let’s make a deal that the less we see each other, the less we have to deal with, ok?” She said to me. Thinking about it, I decided to shake hooves with her before she flew upstairs and disappeared. I took another look around before heading up the stairs as well. Heading into what will be my room till I get back home. It was nothing much, just a bed, desk, and a closet in the corner. I threw my stuff on the desk before heading to the bathroom.

Oh how I wish I still had my hands. That was the most difficult thing I’ve had to do today. God forbid I have to stay any longer than I have to. Spotting the mirror, I decided to get a good look at myself. I jumped up, using a little magic to push air into my wings for an extra boost. Flipping my hood off, I began to take a closer look at my new body. The first thing I saw was my dark near crimson-maroon eyes, though I was put off by how different they were. One was normal, the other was… slitted, almost like a dragon or cat. Though both my eyes seemed to almost glow against the near black scleras. My teeth were the same as my human ones, though the canines and incisors were more pronounced and sharper than my original set. I ran my tongue over them briefly getting a quick feel.

Still omnivorous, thank God. I would literally kill myself if I couldn’t eat meat. I took a look at my hair in close detail. It was dark storm grey with a bright yellow lightning bolt shaped streak running through it. My fur was also thicker than the other ponies which could be a hassle to clean. Looking over to my wings I noticed how large they were, they’re maybe half an inch shorter than Rainbow’s wings. And now that I think about it, how do I clean these things, I think the batwing is akin to skin in terms of cleaning. The feathers on the other hand… I’m pretty sure I have to clean them a certain way. What was it called… preening? I think that’s correct. Shaking my head, I jumped off the counter.

I was about to leave when I noticed a change in my eyes, the black scleras turned white making my eyes almost look normal, and the dark crimson glow seemed to have vanished. Leaving me with dark maroon irises. “Huh, weird,” I commented before heading to the kitchen. Opening what I assume is the fridge, I spotted an apple and a few salad ingredients. I simply opted for the apple and just strolled back upstairs and into my room. I quickly ate the apple and jumped on the bed. Lord Jesus this bed is amazing. It’s so soft and fluffy. But less admiring more sleep. And with that note, I passed out and didn’t wake till the next morning.
