Princess Celestia's morning had already been wonderful with sleeping in until 10 o'clock and then enjoying an excellent breakfast of waffles and fruit in bed to the sound of birds singing as Discord took care of the sun and Luna handled day court. Normally the nobility would have thrown a fit , but Discord had pointed out that Friday was take your daughter to work day and he did in fact have a daughter. After that the nobles had decided to take her birthday off as well as Friday and just call it a 4 day weekend just to be safe.

The only seemingly sour note had been when her nephew had showed up at her door. Only it had turned out he was there to escort her to an exclusive spa for a day of pampering as his birthday gift to her. After the spa she had started back towards the palace only to be sidetracked by a rather large herd of foals, each one with a birthday card or picture for her and it had taken her awhile to thank them all.

Finally she had made it back to the palace to be greeted with a birthday party, only something seemed off. As she enjoyed games and snacks she realized what was missing and asked Twilight why there wasn't any cake. At that moment a shadow fell across the party and as soon as she looked up her jaw dropped. Above her was a titanic cake being flown in by several dozen dragons and the words 'Mother Of All Cakes' sprung to mind as they lowed the ultimate birthday cake into the courtyard. All around her the party goers began singing happy birthday to her as Luna sliced her off the first piece of cake. It took three bites before she realized what kind of cake it was, it was Discords fabled Chaos Cake. Each bite was a different flavor of cake altogether each baked to absolute perfection. She tasted red velvet, chocolate, coconut, strawberry and many more, and the cake was so large that everyone in the city got a large slice of cake including the dragons.

After the cake came the presents with Screwball's being first. It was a beautiful mirror with frame made of living ivy and she just loved how the last rays of the sunset reflected off of it. She was about to say something when the light touched her and a small comet of white, red, and orange exploded out of the mirror and tackled hugged her while yelling "Momma!"
