Chapter 12 – The End of The Beginning


*Cam’s POV*

“Now, I’ll be covering the rest after your” you teacher looks up at the clock in the classroom, “15 minuet break,” he turs to face the class, “I expect you all to return, or there will be a deduction to your mark,” he says before turning to you, “Now, Cameron,” you look at him, “I was wondering where Ms. Sparkle is; is she alright?” he asks you with genuine concern.

“Oh, she’s just come down with something and all of my room mates decided it was best if she stayed home and recovered,” you tell him as you walk out the door of the class.

“Well, that’s good,” he tells you,

“Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to meet someone before the break ends,” you tell him before you run off.
*Tempest’s POV*

As the guards set up the trap you decide to practice your flirtatious side to make it easier to lure him into the magic circle that is the trap.
*Cam’s POV*

As you approach where Tempest wanted to meet you, you decide to take some time to think, “I don’t know what she wants to talk about. But I think it might be she remembered something and wants to tell me privately,” you think to yourself as you round the corner and see Tempest standing there with her back turned to you. “Um, Tempest?” you ask as you approach her.

“Oh, Cam, sorry, lost in thought for a moment,” she says before she let’s out a giggle.

“So, what did you want to talk to me about?” you ask her as she turns around to face you.

She walks up to you and places both of her hands on your shoulders, “I have a question for you,” she says as she pulls herself closer to you which makes her breasts push into you causing you to gain a tint of pink on your face.

“You couldn’t have asked this in front of everyone?” you ask her.

“No. But I was wondering… Why is it you hate your father so much?” she asks with curiosity.

“I’m going to tell you the same thing I told Twilight. DON’T GO LOOKING INTO THAT,” you tell her in a stern tone as you pull away from her.

“Okay, okay, but now I need a favour from you,” she asks as she pulls herself closer to you again.

“What’s the favour?” you ask with curiosity.

She come close to your ear and whispers, “Forgive me for what I’m about to do,” she then pushes you back, but you land on your feet and look at her, she points down to the ground, you look down, the first thing to come to mind, “Shit,” as your eyes go wide and you try to jump up and out of the magic circle but are hit with an invisible force that sends you down into it face first.

You get up and glare at Tempest as her cloths start to change to armour and you see the symbol on her armour that makes you glare daggers at her, “So, you’ve been working with him since the start, and you were only meant to get information and then get me… am I right?” you ask in a half assed tone,

“Look Cam, it was either this, or kill the others, at least thank me for not killing all of them,” she says as she walks towards your cage.

“GO TO HELL!!!” you yell as you try to punch the black bars, only your fist to bounce off,

“Tch, tch, tch, that was a stupid idea,” Tempest says. After she finishes that you feel 10000 volts go through your body, you yell in pain.

“*Tired breathing* You really think… that this… would hurt me… I’ve… been through… worse… than this,” you say as you try to regain some of your energy after that shocking experience.

“I’ve heard that you’ve had 100000000 volts go through you before and you were completely unfazed… how the mighty have fallen,” she says as she leans her face in the bars.

You were too tired to argue and instead decided to try battering yourself against the cage sides to try and tip it over so you can try and get out, “Enough of this,” she pulls out a walkie talkie, “Okay guys, bring it in, we need to get this on the move before they get here,” she says into it, you hear a roger come out of it and then hear a helicopter above you. Tempest then jumps on top of the cage and attaches it to the helicopters pulley system.
*Luna’s POV*

As you and the others are frantically looking for Cam; Twilight stops all of you, “Okay, I know this is a bad idea, but it’s our best chance of finding Cam. Now, I want Luna to go to the alleyway Amber met Cam, Celestia, I want you to check the library in the arena, Cadence, I want you to go and check his old gymnastic place, and I’ll go and ask his teacher,” Twilight says in an authoritative tone.

“Okay,” you all respond before you all break off.

As you come around to the alleyway, you hear what sounds like an animal trapped in a cage. You peer around the corner and see something that shocks you; Tempest in amour and Cameron trapped in a cage looking exhausted, you then look up and see a helicopter pulling up the cage. You pull out your cellphone and quickly text everyone “I’ve found Cameron and I’m going after him, Tempest has captured Cam and is taking him away, I’m sorry Amber but I have to use my wings to save him.” After you send that text you then dispel the spell hiding your wings and fly up to the cage Cam is in.

*Tempest’s POV*

As you hang onto Cam’s cage as the helicopter rises, you spot your ride and hop into it. “Why couldn’t you pick me up on the ground?” you ask the piolet in an irritated tone.

“I couldn’t because the others just arrived after you got the cage hooked up, and if I landed to pick you up, they would’ve had both of us commander,” the piolet informs you. You then look down at the ground and see Luna flying up to Cam’s cage.

“Crap! Do you have any weaponry on this?” you ask in an authoritative tone. The piolet shakes his head, “Do you have any guns on hand?” you once again ask in an authoritative tone. He hands you a AMT Hardballer. “Good,” you unload the clip and see that it’s full. “I’ll take care of that annoying princess,” you say as you load the clip back in. You pull back and hear the click knowing that it’s armed.

*Cam’s POV*

You continue to try and rattle the cage off of the hook, all of a sudden you feel the cage jostle; you try to keep your balance; you turn around and see that Luna has flown up to you.

“What were you thinking!?” you ask loud enough over the helicopters blades.

“We’re here to help get you out of this mess,” Luna says as she tries to pry open the cage.

“It’s no use, I hit the cage with everything I had, and this thing just shocked me with 100000 volts,” you tell her.

“We will try everything in our power to get you out,” Luna yells as she continues to try to open the cage.

You suddenly look over to the other helicopter and see Tempest with a gun pointing at Luna. You grab Luna’s wrists and pull her close, “Luna,” you whisper into her ear, “Forgive me,” you say as you push her off of the cage.

*Luna’s POV*

As you fall from the cage you hear a loud bang go off and see blood come from Cam’s left shoulder. You turn and see a smoking object in Tempest’s grasp with a shocked look on her face. You realise that you’re still falling and spread your wings to slow down your decent. After you regain your bearings you try to go after the helicopters which have gotten a great distance away, but your sister stops you.

“Get out of our way Tia,” you try to go around her but she cuts you off, “move now Tia or I’ll be forced to hurt you,” you tell her.

“You can’t go after them,” Tia tells you.

“WHY NOT!” you yell at her in the royal cantorlot voice.

“Amber and Twilight will explain once we return to Cam’s home,” Tia tells you as she passes by you.

You decide to follow her albeit reluctantly.

“Why don’t you want me going after them?” you ask the group.

“I know Cam didn’t want me to look into his past but… if you did go after them we would’ve gotten in a lot of trouble we don’t want to be in,” Twilight tell you

“And what trouble would that be?” you ask with a bit of venom in your voice.

“Well… you see… how do I put this… um…” Twilight says

“Bluntly; the end of the world would happen,” Amber says which shocks you,

“You didn’t need to be that blunt,” Twilight says in a panic,

“Well you weren’t getting to it fast enough,” Amber says.

“Whoa, whoa, whoa, hold on a second, you’re saying if I went after him it would destroy the world, I find that very hard to believe,” you say with a tiny amount of fear in your voice.

“Sorry, but it’s the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth,” Amber says like it’s nothing.

“Okay then, but who on this planet has that much power of all of the nuclear energy on this planet?” you ask in curiosity.

*??? POV*

As you see Cameron come in on a stretcher you decide to ask your commander what happened.

“Why is Cameron coming in on a stretcher Commander Tempest?” you ask

“You see sir… there was a… complication… so to speak, and I was forced to take a shot at him,” she says in a nervous tone.

“If he dies… our deal is off and you will die slowly and painfully, now go and give me the report of this mission,” you tell her.

“Yes sir, u-u-understood s-s-s-sir,” she says with fear in her voice.

You walk towards the stretcher and knell down to it, “Welcome home… son,”
