Blitz stormed into his house! "MOTHER!" He shouted! "Everything I have planned, all I had worked for has been destroyed!"

"What's troubling you my son?" Abyss asked in a concerned tone.

Blitz snapped his head in Abyss's direction. "Burst Stream has returned. The attack I hit him with should have held him on the moon for years!"

"You...did what?" Abyss whispered in horror!

"AGH!" Blitz fumed! "Show me the most powerful spells at your disposal! Teach me so that I may finally destroy him and take my rightful place! As the worthy Son of Aether! The ONLY Son of Aether!"

Abyss shuddered in place. Her heart beating like tartarus was raging within it! She closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and said the one word she'd never uttered before to her son as her eyes slowly opened. "No."

"What." Blitz slowly turned to face his mother. "What do you mean "no"?"

"I mean that I will not teach you anything. Or concede to your requests." Abyss let out a sad sigh. "Blitz, what you've done is horrible. You said that you desired to be a hero. But the acts you've committed?" Abyss stared right into Blitz's eyes. "You're a monster. And it's my fault for not seeing what I turned you into. Even when you had Aether's approval, it wasn't enough for you. I wanted you to be happy, and I let you become something truly horrifying.

Blitz was practically snarling! "You...YOU DARE TO BETRAY ME?!"

"You betrayed yourself the moment you walked down this path." Abyss said as tears slowly fell from her eyes. "And I betrayed you by allowing you to walk down it. I'm sorry." Sobs began to wrack her body. "I'm so sorry..." Blitz teleported away, and Abyss fell to her knees. Her sorrow bursting free as she wept.
