I’ve been thinking... is it possible for humans to catch pony diseases and vice versa? I mean only Pegasi catch the feather flu, and such, so will our diseases affect humans in any way? Maybe it could turn out that humans would make the best doctors, since they have a natural immunity to everything pony? Or vice versa?
It just got me thinking since all the storms and Windigo troubles and so many ponies catching cold as a result.

And you’re transparent like a block of ice! I’m giving you the benefit of the doubt about the illnesses thing, but a human nurse in a hospital? You’ve been toying with that idea for ages! If the isn’t an attempt to get advice how to write it (as well as support) I don’t know what is!
As I’ve told you before the idea is a really boring one. True it could be pulled off by someone with skill (which you don’t have), but even so it won’t be different than the human being a pony. At most you’ll be able to force some cultural difference.
If you really want to try and write something exceptional, at least have the decency to do two things:
1) be honest about it
2) come up with something at least partially original
I’ll give you an example: write a fix of a mare going to study medicine on Earth. She has this insane dream to be a surgeon and must learn to live (and love) in an entirely new environment.
And now you can ask for advice.

Hmmm. Hmmmmmm! If you ask me humans should be susceptible to pretty much the same diseases that ponies have with the exception to all aether-related ones. The only reason the rest of us don’t get the feather flu, is the lack of feathers (understandably). Since humans are unlikely to have equestrian magic, they are safe from that angle.
The real question is, what if humans carry a disease that is capable of wiping out all of Equestria? To them it might be something harmless, like a cough. For us, however, it might be terminal. I don’t want to think what could happen if an non-quarantined human gets here. It will be a disaster! Actually, that might be the best proof that humans haven’t been to Equestria before.

But if both humans and Equines were made by Poseidon... so they shouldn’t be that different. After all, they are described as eating the same kinds of food, so why should this be different?
Interesting though, though dark as *yay*. A human makes it through the portal and half of the ponies in Equestria are struck by a mysterious disease.

I can confirm. There are certain things, like bread, sugar, and alcohol, that are the same, but there are such that aren’t... hay, for example. Humans don’t eat hay... most of the time.

Human stomachs are by far more delicate. Actually humans are much more delicate. That’s why they are the perfect race for boyfriends :) That’s not visible a lot in the books because of the constant fights, but if you check out all the scenes in which humans are fighting with ponies, a kick from the pony manages to send humans flying off, get broken arms, and in one case broken ribs.
Humans are just dolls in every sense of the word :)
