//------------------------------// // Chapter 12 // Story: Ending of New Beginnings // by TopHat Demon //------------------------------// Pixel moved out of the room and sat in one of the chairs that survived the fight. He pulled up a rifle and put it next to his chair. Pixel sighed and used his magic to teleport the others back to this room. With a bright flash, Sunset Cloud, Petal cord and officer Sunside stood in the middle of all the destruction. “What the....” Officer Sunside trailed off, “...Where’s Daybreak? Ash? Winter?... Caster. Where are they?” Pixel lowered his head slowly. Sunside backed up in realization. Petal Cord looked at Pixel and handed him the photo on the desk. Pixel looked up and looked at the photo and read the back of it. “What does it mean?” Sunset Cloud asked weakly sitting on the ground rubbing her hoof. Pixel turned to the remaining alive Ponies and Smiled. “What it means? Oh yeah I know what this means!” Pixel stared happily as he trotted out the door, the rest followed. Pixel stopped in the huge room where they all started and looked at each individual wall. “This Photo right here is not just an ordinary photo... it is a capture through space and time, on a piece of paper.” Pixel moved through the room pulling out his flashlight. A trap door sat in the middle of the room. “This must be the way out.” “Wait... this is all happening so fast.” Sunset Cloud stated, “That photo is us... in another dimension?” Pixel nodded and tried to open the trap door. It was locked. “Dammit! It needs a key.” Pixel said looking around in his bag. Petal cord was the one to talk next. “When you teleported us away from the fight, did you know we would end up in a bedroom?” “Uh... no?” “I do remember seeing a key on the shelf but it was to high and I though it wasn’t important.” “I think now it is....” Pixel said, charging his horn to teleport them to the bedroom. Once they were in the bedroom Pixel looked for shelves. Like Petal Cord said it was high on the shelf and thought it wasn’t important. Pixel looked on the shelves that can be easily reached by Pixel his size. A golden key sat in cobwebs, he grabbed it with his magic and teleported back to the trap door. He shoved the key through the key hole, the door clicked and burst open. White light filled the room which blinded the group. “Uh... Pixel?” Officer Sunside asked. “Yes?” “We got company!” She yelled pulling out her shot-gun. Pixel looked behind him and saw rows and rows of dead corpses rising into a massive army. Pixel sighed and pulled up Winter’s AK-66, ready to fire. “You thought you can kill me?! I’m guessing you forgot that I’m the devil, death is my life and the fire of rage always burns! You killed me once... I’ll give you that. But this time... I WILL KILL ALL YOUR FRINEDS AND FAMILY!!” a demonic voice boomed around the room. The massive army of corpses, started to walk. Slowly at first and then faster at each beat of Pixel’s heart. Pixel felt... joy go through his heart... it was unnatural at a time like this, he was scared that he will stay in hell forever. But he had a gun... and that’s all he needed to survive. “Have at thee! You Bastards!” Pixel screamed. The first wave of demons charged forward screeching and growling, Officer Sunside fired the first shot at the closet Demon and Pixel afterward fired rapidly. Sunset Cloud and Petal cord moved away from the fight and looked towards the Trapdoor. “I think we should leave!” Petal cord yelled running over to the Glowing Trapdoor. Petal cord paused and stuck her hoove in the glowing whiteness. It felt strange like a glue substance. She pushed her face through the whiteness and opened her eyes she saw that she was in the cafeteria at their school. The only thing that was different about it was that there were police tapes and warning signs. She ripped her head back when she heard a sickening crack. Pixel smashed the head of the demon with his hoof firing with his magic. Sunset Cloud was flying over the hoard, in hope that they wouldn’t kill her in the air. Petal cord however was in the heat of battle. “We found the way out we can leave now!” Petal cord screamed to Pixel. Pixel stopped and looked at Sunside who was throwing a genade at the crowd. “Everyone! GO!” Pixel yelled, Sunset Cloud zoomed through the whiteness and Petal cord along with her. Pixel walked backwards towards the trap door. Officer Sunside did the same. “AH!— Shit!” She screamed getting takled by a demon. The demon was ripped off her by Pixel and was shot to death. “Just Go leave now!!” Pixel said leading the hoard away from the trap door, but some of the demons didn’t follow but charged for Officer Sunside. Worst part was that she was in the middle of reloading, the demons took her down and dug under her skin. She screeched loudly as more demons pounced on her ripping organs out of her body, blood spilled everywhere while this act occurred. Pixel gasped and shot down the remaining demons following him, and ran to Sunside. “Pi-Xel... No... just leave... Ahh..., I got-t you covered!” She gasped struggling with demons killing her. She place a hoove over a strange device that Pixel just saw. “We were- sent —ah... to kill this....H-h-hell!” And pixel knew that that what she was holding... was a bomb. Pixel ran towards the trap door and paused he looked back at officer sunside “You did great serving out country!” Pixel said tears in his eyes. Officer Sunside smiled through the pain she was experiencing and whispered. “No... you did.” And with that Pixel jumped through the trapdoor closing it. The demons stopped, just frozen. Officer Sunside looked at her stomach which was ripped open and was missing a few intestines. “So... this is what death feels like...” she said pulling up the bomb to her other hoove, her vision going blurry. “you know a bomb won’t kill the great devil of hell!” the demonic voice boomed again. Sunside laughed weakly. “At least... I won’t become your servant.” She finished slamming the button to the bomb. Everything was ingulfed in a white flash.
