Is it just me, or have things be quiet the last few days? I know it the question is scary in itself, but apart from the storm in the Crystal Empire I haven’t heard anything bad happen.
Am I wrong?

I can only speak for Manehattan, but the only threat here has been from drunk mares making lewd comments when we go on patrol. Keeping my fingers crossed that you’re right.
At this point I think I’ve learned all the catcalls and lewd adjectives there are... including a few which are so ridiculous somepony must have been dead drunk and out of ideas to come up with! No, it isn’t “saddle”, “seat”, “cushion”, “mat”... I mean seriously, how bored must you be to come up with “lantern”?! Someone, please explain that to me in PM!

I haven’t heard much, but I’ve been incredibly busy with lots of stuff lately (including organizing a charity dreamreading in the very near future). I’ll make a full announcement when the time comes, but just to let everypony know, it’ll be in Fillydelphia. For the moment the fic in question seems to be the first chapter of Project Butterfly. (That might change.)

1) Never comment of war things (you’ll only jinx them)
2) You’ll get used to it. After a while (a long while) the mares will start repeating themselves. After that you’ll start viewing it as a casual annoyance in the background. Like a constant hum

Well I don’t know about you, but I don’t see anything wrong with saying “nice arms”. Just think about it how often we say “nice legs” or “nice flank”. Humans have arms, so it should be natural to compliment them. Fingers too. I wouldn’t be surprised if wearing rings turns out to be slightly seductive. Have you noticed that it’s Bellucio who wears multiple rings, while the rest don’t have any for the most part? I totally see it as a “check out these babies* statement.
And for the record, Bellucio gets a ton of catcalls on the series. There are like 38 separate characters that fall for him (and that’s if I only count cases in which it’s explicitly stated in the books! No blushing, no stammering, just direct “I like you” statements).
One other thing. I think they would receive a lot of nose compliments as well (you must agree that human noses are cute).

Well, I don’t want to be sounding weird or anything, but I reckon that nails must be a mighty important thing as well. There at plenty Of is that have fancy hoofacures done (yep, I have as well O:)), so I don’t see why humans don’t have nailacures.
