A purple unicorn wearing a blue cape with purple stars on it and a pointy hat with a purple star and five white stars around it is standing on the roof of a building. Beside her, a purple dragon with no wings is looking up at the sky along with the unicorn. In the sky, the sun and the moon are floating side by side each other.



What's going on here? Why is the sun and the moon out at the same time? What am I doing in Manehattan?


The purple unicorn  noticed 13 other ponies on different rooftops. Then suddenly, 26 blue and black cards started to fall from the moon and 26 yellow and white cards started to fall from the sun.


What are these cards? What doe this all mean?



A voice said "Twilight. Twilight. Twilight Sparkle, it's time to get up."







The purple unicorn, or Twilight Sparkle as she is called, is asleep in her bed as her mother. Her mother then walked away for a moment and came back with a trumpet. She then started playing the trumpet in the room and this caused Twilight Sparkle to wake up.


Twilight said as she got up and had her ears covered from the trumpet playing"Ok, ok, I'm up, mom. Please don't do that; I have an alarm."


Her mom said noticing the alarm is broken since it shows 5:45 am when she knows it is not that time"Honey, I think your alarm is broken."


Twilight asked "What time is it?"


Her mom responded "7:15 am."


Twilight shouted as she quickly go out of bed to get ready "What!? I'm going to be late."


Her mother said "Calm down sweety. School doesn't start until 8 and the distance to the campus isn't that far. Besides, it's the last day of school and I'm sure they won't be mad if your late."


"Mom, I one of the élite students at Canterlot Academy who has a perfect attendance record; that means something."


"I know, dear. Just remember, when you get back we're going to talk about our vacation plans."


"Ok."


Twilight Sparkle ran downstairs into the kitchen and grabbed some bread, an apple, and brown paper bag that has her lunch; while she's doing this, her father is doing the crossword puzzle.


"Bye dad; see you later."


Bye sweety.


My name is Twilight Sparkle. Those were my parents, Night Light and Twilight Velvet. I have a big brother, Shining Armor, too; he attends college in Fillydelphia. I am a junior(soon to be senior after summer vacation) at Canterlot Academy and I'm one of the top students there for my perfect attendance and my papers on the evolution of modern magic.


Twilight had finally arrived at Canterlot Academy but noticed that no one was out and began to worry that she's later than she originally thought. When she arrived in her homeroom, only two ponies were there and they were her friends: Moondancer and Minuette.


Twilight said to the two unicors "Moondancer. Minuette. Are you the only ones here?"


Minuette said "Looks like it."


Moondancer said "We've seen other students, but not many; however, the entire senior class isn't here."


Minuette and Moondancer. Two of my closest friends since we were in magic kindergarten. Minuette is the fun one of our group and likes to throw music parties at her house. Her favorite treat is doughnuts; some of us think she has a problem with them since she goes to the doughnut shop four times a week. Moondancer, if I had to choose, is my best friend. We both have a lot in common when it comes to our studies and we have the same level of intelligence. I just wish she could be recognized as an élite student like I am; she's just as good as me.


Twilight asked "What about Twinkleshine, Lemon Hearts, and Lyra; have they shown up yet?"


Minuette explained "Twinkleshine said that she was going to skip the last day of school, Lemon Hearts had to leave for Baltimare because her grandmare is sick, and Lyra just left a note saying "I've met the love of my life. Will see you all after the break." "


Moondancer asked "I wonder who this love of her life is?"


Minuette said "I'm sure we'll find out after summer vacation is over. By the way Twilight, your family's traveling vacation is still on, right?"


Twilight said "It is. We're suppose to talk about what the plan is for our vacation plans when I get back from school. You two are still coming with us, right?"


Minuette said "Of course; wouldn't miss it for all Equestria. I'm just glad your parents are letting us go with you."


Twilight said "Well, since my dad (somehow) managed to win an airboat from a bingo competition and it's big enough for more than four ponies, my mom encouraged Shining Armor and I to bring friends."


Moondancer said trying to hide the fact she is blushing "So, Shining Armor is going to be there?"


Twilight said "Yep. He's suppose to show up at the house tomorrow morning before we leave in the afternoon with his friend. I forget his name, but I do know he's in the same department as Shining Armor."


Said a female voice "Oh, so you girls are the only ones in homeroom today."


Twilight said noticing the books that Professor Raven is holding via her arms and magic "Professor Raven, good morning. Do you need help with those?"


Professor Raven said as before she tripped on a pencil and almost dropped all the books "No thanks. I've got this under control. I'm just glad that the three of you decided to come on the last day of school, rather than skip school like 85% of the school's student body did. Ahh, the books."


Twilight said using her magic to stop all the books from falling "Don't worry Professor Raven, I've got them.


Professor Raven said "Thank you, Twilight."


I didn't realize it then, but catching Professor Raven's books like that caused the seal on one of her books to break; I couldn't have known that this book in particular was that important.


Twilight said noticing a book with Celesita and Luna surrounding the sun and moon on the cover"Professor Raven, what's this book?"


Professor Raven said "Its nothing; just an old spellbook containing spells that no pony can perform anymore."


Moondancer said "I don't think I've ever seen this book before. Are these art depictions of the legendary alicorns, Celestia and Luna?"


Professor Raven said "That's correct, Moondancer. While this book contains old spells written by various ponies across time who's names are lost, there are some spells that were supposedly written by them. There are a total of 3034 spells in that book."


Twilight asked "Would it be possible for us to borrow this book and look over some of these spells during the summer?"


Professor Raven said "Well, it's not like any of you can cast these spells anyway; so, yes, you can borrow this book. But you should know that it's mostly written in Olde Ponish."


Twilight said "Thank you, Professor Raven."


Said a unicorn student "Hey everypony, there's a party going on in the gym. Everypony is encouraged to attend, students and teachers."


Minuette said "Sounds fun. Can we go, Professor Raven?"


Professor Raven said "Sounds like everypony is invited; it's encouraged for you to go so go right ahead."


Moondancer said "Aren't you coming with us?"


Professor Raven said "I have some other stuff I need to take care us first, so I'll stop by later."


Minuette said grabbing Twilight and Moondancer and running off"Ok. Come on, girls."


Professor Raven said after they left "I did what you asked Zecora; I just hope you're right about this."


Later that night, Twilight arrived home after school with Minuette and Moondancer. Her parents talked to them about their vacation plans while they ate dinner at the same time. After they finished talking about their vacation plans, Twilight and her friends went upstairs to her room and started to look at the spell book; her parents went out to get a few more things for their trip. While Twilight and Moondancer are intrigued by the spells, Minuette was indifferent about it for the most part and she's can't read Olde Ponish like Twilight and Moondancer can.


Moondancer said "Some of these spells look weird. Strawberry Rainbow Blast, Fantastic Exit Beam, The All Seeing Eyeball."


Twilight said "Well, Professor Raven did say that some of these spells were written by ponies whose names have been lost through time; maybe these ponies were eccentric."


Moondancer said "That is possible."


Minuette asked "Are there any spells that will make doughnuts appear out of thin air?"


Twilight said "No, but if we find any we'll let you know."


Moondancer said noticing a page not written in Olde Ponish"Hey, what's this?"


Twilight said "This isn't written in Olde Ponish. "


Minuette asked "What is it?"


Twilight said before turning the page to where the cards are in a compartment of the book""Celestia Cards and Luna Cards"? That's what the title says."


Moondancer said "Hey, the cards are surrounded by 4 gems but there are 10 gems missing from these slots."






(At Canterlot Academy)


Professor Raven is in her office looking at some photos of her and some of her students. While she's doing this, a unicorn with a broken horn wearing black armor walks in.


Said the pony "You're Professor Raven, correct?"


Professor Raven said "Yes. I guess it was only a matter of time before you showed up."


The pony said threatening her with her broken horn "If you know who I am, then you know why I'm here. Where is the book; where are the cards?"


Professor Raven said "Your too late."






(In Twilight's room)


Moondancer said holding  The Dream Card"These cards look amazing. Love the artwork."


Minuette said holding The Silent Card "I wonder who made these."


Twilight said noticing a card glowing "Hey, one of the Luna cards are glowing."


Moondacner asked"Which one?"


Twilight said after grabbing the card "The Windy."


Then suddenly, a big gust of wind formed in Twilight's room. While she and her friends held onto the floor as the wind blew, all the cards except The Windy started to blow around in Twilight's room and eventually phase through her walls and into the sky.


Moondacner asked "What was that?"


Minuette asked "Twilight, how did you do that?"


Twilight said "I don't know; I never meant to do anything."


Minuette asked "I don't suppose Professor Raven isn't going to notice that those cards went missing when we return this book to her?"


Moondancer said "She's going to be mad at us."


Then suddenly, the book started to glow purple and a purple and green eggs came out of it. The egg then hatched and a dragon appeared before them, yawning.


The Dragon said "That's the best sleep I've ever had."


Moondancer asked "Girls, are you seeing what I'm seeing?"


Twilight said "A purple dragon with green scales."


Moondancer "Yep."


The Dragon said "Ponies!"


Minuette asked"Yes, who are you?"


The Dragon said "I'm Spike. Guardian Dragon of the Celestia and Luna Cards; mainly the Luna Cards." Spike turns around and notices the cards are gone. "Ahhhhh! The Cards! The Cards! Where did they go? What happened to them? Where are the Celestia Cards? Where are the Luna Cards?"


Twilight said showing Spike The Windy card"You mean this."


Spike said snatching the card away from Twilight"The Windy (Luna). Thank you ponies. Now, where are the rest of the cards?"


Twilight said"Funny story about that. "


Spike said"Ok? Tell me."


Twilight explained "We were going over some of the spells in your book, we found the pages where the cards were, one of them started to glow (specifically The Windy), a huge wind appeared, and they all flew away."


Spike shouted "WHAT!? THAT"S NOT FUNNY?"
