	Duckweed awoke from his attempt at sleeping and went togo get himself some coffee. He was rather excited by his upcoming lunch and skipped his way into the kitchen, almost stepping on Bronson. He drank his cofee and looked out his window planning how the date would go in his mind. After his cup was empty, he found it was 11:10 and went to go put on something nice. Nothing too fancy of course but something that would make him stand out. He went with his Checkerboard sunglasses and a fedora. Now he felt cool and ready to conquer the world. He burst through his doors, singing the song "Smile"  halfway there
Flutttershy was fumbling with her dresses, there was her old birds nest hat which she laughed at the thought of wearing. She finally settled on her hand knit silk scarf and began to apprehensively trot out the door, nervous about her first date.
Duckweed found himself within viewing range of Sugarcube corner when his nervousness truly set in. His knees began to wobble and his thoughts soon became negative. He slowly sang "Giggle at the ghosties" to himself to assuage his fear of failure and trotted straight into Sugarcube corner, offering the already seated Fluttershy a hoof full of Daisys.
"Oh my, these are just lovely!" said Fluttershy, attempting to hide her excitement. He didnt need to know that she would probably keep these flowers in a vase long past their lifespan as a memento of her first romantic encounter.
Still standing in the same spot, awkwardly smiling his same stupid smile, Fluttershy said "Wel why dont you sit down." chuckling.
"Oh, thank you."said Duckweed nervously,sitting down at a neary stool.
Pinkie Pie suddenly burst from the kitchen door saying "Fluttershy, what can I get you!" bursting with excitement from seeing her friend.
"Oh hello Pinkie, ill have a vanilla cupcake" Fluttershy said
"and ill have a chocalate cupcake" Duckweed stated, fiddling with a straw wrapper.
"and who are you?" Pinkie asked inquisitively 
"My name is Duckweed, im Fluttershys friend" Duckweed stated matter-of-factly
Rainbow Dash emerged from the kitchen, "C'mon Pinkie lets keep making cupcakes, hey Fluttershy who's your friend?"
"Oh this is Duckweed, hes nice" Fluttershy said, trying to subtley state through body language that she felt no desire to be interrupted during her date.
"C'mon Pinkie lets leave these two alone" Rainbow Dash said, smiling at the two slyly
"Oh alright, two cupcakes coming up!" Pinkie said leaving for the kitchen
"Your friends seem nice" Duckweed said pleasently, sipping at his fountain beverage
"Yeah, theyre different alright"  Fluttershy said sarcastically
"Different how?" Duckweed asked, missing her sarcasm
Before Fluttershy could attempt to answer, Pinkie showed up with the cupcakes saying "eat up" before trotting back inside
The two ended up enraptured in conversation, barely touching the cupcakes
"I hate the whole pretentious attitude of the pegasui, how they all are so compeititive and segregate themselves in Cloudsdale" Duckweed said, his wings twitching
"I know, are we two the only pegasui who moved out of that godforsaken city. Rainbow Dash is a good person who loves it there but thats because shes the best and doesent get bullied. She used to protect me from some very mean stallions back in grade school."Fluttershy said, a little sadly
"Yeah, school was no paradise for me" Duckweed simply said, not feeling like sharing the worst details of his childhood
Suddenly "Wild Dances" by Ruslana came onto the jukebox. The music moving through Duckweeds body, he leapt onto the bar and began dancing in ecstacy, offering his hoof to Fluttershy. While Duckweed was extremlely awkwar in dialogue and conversation, he could be very entertaining when he was in the right mood. Fluttershy admired this stallion dancing on the bar so wildly, shy as he was yet capable of shedding his inhibitions, plus he had some sweet  moves. She took his hoof and together they Skanked, Crumped, Duggied, Jerked and Gopaked through 3 songs straight. Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie and Mr. Cake had all joined them up there in a supremely strange display.At the end of this strange display, Fluttershy and Duckweed hugged for a good two minutes before departing
