//------------------------------// // Chapter 11-An Old Friend of the Princess Twilight // Story: Dystopia: Equestria // by Creativa-Artly01 //------------------------------// A few days later, Twilight gets a rap rap rap on her castle door. She then promptly opens it then looks out the door in surprise. "Moon Dancer? What are you doing here?" she asks in a still puzzled shock. "A stray fire kind of burnt my home to the ground," replied Moon Dancer. "Can I stay with you for awhile?" "Of course," replies Twilight as she leads Moon Dancer inside. Moon Dancer nods as she follows Twilight through the doors and into a spare room in the front of the castle. There, Twilight gets Moon Dancer comfortable and then brings her a nice meal of fried corn balls, hay jerky, and carrot soup. Moon Dancer then happily downs the food put in front of her. "How'd the fire start in the first place?" asks Twilight once she sees Moon Dancer is done with her food. "I don't know but I wish I did," replies Moon Dancer. "Well, I'm just glad you're safe," replies Twilight as she takes the plate and leaves the room so Moon Dancer can get some rest. After dropping the plate in the kitchen, Twilight goes out of the castle and to the Garden of the Lost, where all her dead friends are buried. There, she sits and cries over the graves of Rainbow, Fluttershy, Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie, and Spike along with the graves of Big Mack, Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle. After seven hours of crying at the Garden, Twilight gets up and flies back to the castle where she is soon greeted by Moon Dancer. "You've been to the Garden, huh?" says Moon Dancer. "Mmhmm," responds Twilight as she continues to cry. "All my friends are buried there." "I heard about how Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon killed them and tortured them, for that, I'm sorry," responds Moon Dancer as she embraces Twilight. "Yeah, I'm still a little bitter about it but I'm over it for the most part. Still, I'm always going to miss my friends. I don't know if I'll ever truly forgive the regal sisters," responds Twilight. Meanwhile, elsewhere in the palace, the crystal pony leaders, princess, and prince are busy in a meeting. They're discussing what they should do now that there is no Crystal Heart to absorb their love and the magic it provides. In the meeting, they discuss how they could find a new heart and infuse it with their magic in love or possibly create a new relic that could absorb their magic that was also in the shape of the heart. "No, no, it wouldn't be the same," says one of the leaders to Shining Armor. "That heart was our history, a reminder of where we came from and who we were as ponies and as a kingdom." "Well, it's better to create a new heart than not have one at all," replies a second leader. They continue to discuss it for three more hours before finally deciding to create a new crystal heart to embue with their magic. They then go off in search of the clear blue crystal they used in the first one, graph and cut a heart out of it, and embue it with magic. They then take the new heart and set it up in a central area in Ponyville where they can use it just like they did the old one in years gone by.
