It was a beautiful night in Ponyville. The sounds of the crickets chirping filled the air much to everypony's annoyance. All of the citizens of Ponyville were getting ready for bed and was so tired and warn out from the long and busy day they had. They read or had been read to some bedtime stories while having a cup of tea or milk to relax them. For the most part, all of the citizens of Ponyville were all sound asleep except for one pony, it was the element of kindness herself, Fluttershy. She was still full of energy even after a long and busy day she had. She was in her cottage laying in her bed with the covers on her hoping she would able to fall asleep.
"Maybe some warm tea and a manga would help me fall asleep." Fluttershy suggested to herself as she shot out of bed. She then trots out of her bedroom and into the kitchen to whip up some tea. She warmed up some hot water and goes into her cabinet to find some tea bags. She picks out the tea bag meant to make chamomile tea and shuts the cabinet door. She places the tea bag into the hot water and brews the tea until it was a golden brown. She then trots to her bookshelf and looks around for a manga to read. The bookshelf might of had adult pony books and biology books about all sorts of animals about the smallest of ants to the biggest of whales but she also one of those ponies who were otakus and had all sorts of mangas. She borrowed some of them from Twilight since she was also an otaku as well. She picked one out from her shelf and trots back into her room along with the manga and the tea. She then climbs back into her bed and turns on her reading light so that she could be able to see so that she could read the book. She then openings to the first page of the manga. It had pictures of anime ponies with word bubbles that had quotes. She then began uses her hooves to pick up the cup of the hot tea and blowing on it to cool it off a bit. She slowly and carefully takes a sip of the drink so that she wouldn't be able to spill it anywhere. Luckely, she didn't.
"Alright, chapter one." Fluttershy began getting ready to read the book. Later on when she finally finished the book, she then trots back to the kitchen and washes the tea cup and puts it back in the cabinet. She also puts the manga back where it belongs and trots back to her bedroom.
"Okay. A cup of warm tea and a volume of a manga should help." Fluttershy reassured herself as she climbs back to bed. Surprisingly, for one reason or another, she still couldn't sleep. Fluttershy was starting to get frustrated.
"Oh it's hopeless. I'll never be able to fall asleep." Fluttershy complained tossing the turning trying to get herself comfortable. She then hopes out of bed and discovered something. Was it stars? No. It was tons of fireflies flying through her window and flying around all over her bedroom.
"Oh my. Are those fireflies? Their beautiful. Their like little lanterns." Fluttershy complimented gazing upon the fireflies that were glowing as the flew all around her bedroom putting on a show.
"Hello there little guys. What brings you here?" Fluttershy greeted the fireflies. The fireflies flew and formed an arrow pointing towards the open window.
"Do you want me to follow you guys? Alright then." Fluttershy followed the fireflies by flying out the window of her cottage and flying where they were flying. The fireflies guided her to her garden. I was filled with all of the creatures asleep in their natural habitats. Well, most of them. Some of the animals were nocturnal. There was raccoons, owls, beavers, badgers, and all sorts of nocturnal animals anypony could think of staying up late at night.
"Wow. What a beautiful sight. I never knew the garden actually looked this beautiful at night with the creatures plus the fireflies twinkling like stars." Fluttershy complimented taking in the view of the garden and the nocturnal creatures. The fireflies then flies to another direction following other fireflies flying somewhere. Fluttershy then decided to fly and follow the rest of the fireflies to see where they are going. When she was able to catch up to the fireflies, they all flew around and danced all around her. She thought was an amazing sight to see when the fireflies lit up and put on a show for her. She decided to join in the fun the fireflies were having.
"Wow. I'm having so much fun I could just sing a song about it." Fluttershy said with enthusiasm. Suddently, the fireflies made this techno bleeping sound whenever the light came on and off. Fluttershy was a bit suprised yet amazed at the sight that the fireflies could make such beautiful music like that. She decided to singing a song using the fireflies' melody. She then flies around just like the other fireflies and begins to sing a song. While singing, she was flying around and dancing in the sky with the fireflies who were flying in formation to the beat of the song Fluttershy was singing.
"Wow. That was so much fun. I never knew that nighttime could be this much fun flying with the fireflies while singing a song. " Fluttershy thought to herself. The fireflies then guides her back to her cottage. She then tells the fireflies,
"Goodbye fireflies. Thank you all so very much for taking on the little adventure and I hope I get to see you all again."
She then trots into her cottage, back into her bedroom, and into the covers of her warm bed. She then slowly begins to close her eyes and drifts off to dreamland as she falls fast to sleep.
