The Great Alicorn City is the heart of the Twenty Kingdoms that were responsible for founding the Alicorn Empire with Queen Omnipotence and Eclipsa, after they journeyed to Concordia from their home planet. It is located in the lush mountains of The Holy Green (Near where Canterlot stands today.)
The city is well-known for its vast flower fields, it's amazing steam and magic technology, its cuisine, its passionate artists, and its brilliant thinkers. The city itself is protected by The Lance and their commander, Artemis, along with an impenetrable magical barrier that only an Alicorn is able to bring down. The city also has a large population, and many travel from all corners of the world to see the amazing city of the alicorns, and it's breathtaking rulers.
Architecture
The Great Alicorn City's architecture is overall Spanish-inspired. The buildings seem to be colorful and extravagant, and many of them have wavy patterns and checkered rooftops. This notable difference in architecture is unique to the city, as when it was being built, Omnipotence and Eclipsa wanted it to stand out above all other cities.
The Tree Of Friendship, one of the city's main attractions, appears to be planted upon it's own tower, made completely out of gold, silver and bronze. It is the largest building in the city, towering over all other buildings, and being rivaled only by the Skyloft, which allows for transportation up to Aliaewah, where Queen Omnipotence and Eclipsa rule over from.
The Skyloft itself is a large onion shaped shuttle that uses a propeller system to fly off it's perch and high up into the skies of The Holy Green Mountain, where the Palace rests on a sea of clouds.
Layout
The Great Alicorn City is a luxurious, Spanish-themed city of vibrant colors and amazing inventions. Its most notable geological feature is the presence of huge cloud formations located around the city, that Alicorns are able to walk and live upon, as well as manipulate them to control the weather of the city.
The port district of Acacia, located at the southwest of the city, has the Sapphire Bazaar, from which all exports in and out of the city are sold to any wanting travelers or tourists. Another district, Accomplishment Square, is located on the northwestern side of the city, and is the city's major shopping and entertainment district, featuring countless shops, restaurants, theaters and more. The district of Grand Gala is located to the south, and houses the noble families of the empire, though it is of course open to the public. There's also the town of Jubilee, located to the east, that is the main food and restaurant hot spot in the city, as well as the district where Surprise lives, in her sweets shoppe. At the center of the city stands the huge Founder's Clocktower, serving as the main landmark of Founder's Park, a park built by Omnipotence and Eclipsa with their own hooves when the city was just built.
The Great Alicorn City is connected to Ponyshire by an iron bridge at the north of the city, as well as the railways leading to it.
The Great Alicorn City is relatively close to Ponyshire, as travel between the two cities can be done in a short period of time. The city also neighbors three other towns, one of which being Apple Province. Those three cities are close enough to catch radio transmission signals coming from The Great Alicorn City.
Landmarks
The Tree Of Friendship: The Tree Of Friendship is one of the most famous landmarks of The Great Alicorn City. It is a magical tree that grows the more friendship there is in the empire, and needs no water nor food, instead it supplies the town itself with water, and allows it to flow endlessly through its many rivers and waterfalls. It is located in the upper district of Acacia.
The Founder's Clock tower: The Founder's clock tower is a tall, gilded clock tower built by Omnipotence and Eclipsa to always know the time of any point around the world. It's said that by turning the wheel inside, you would send the entire empire either back or forward in time. Although, this has never been proven.
Sapphire Bazaar: Sapphire Bazaar is the central hub for all exotic exports, vendors and where you can basically buy anything for an affordable price. The bazaar is visited daily by hundreds upon hundreds of citizens, tourists and travelers alike, and features a wide array of foreign goods, such as spices from Saddle Arabia and Crystal Sugar from The Crystal Empire.
The Bank Of The Empire: The Bank Of The Empire is the one of the largest and most visited buildings in the city. It is here where citizens can store there bits (As paper money has been discontinued) for use later,as well as open up a checking and savings account or make a loan from the Empire's Treasury.
Accomplishment Square: Accomplishment Square is the heart of the alicorn city. Numerous shops, plenty of great restaurants, theaters, an amusement park, cloud rides, Accomplishment Square if the place to be! This district is also home to the small avenue of Jubilee, where Honeyhooves (Surprise's bakery and sweet shop) Is located, of which there is always a line.

Honeyhooves: An unbelievably amazing bakery and sweet shop that always has a mile long line in front of it. Honeyhooves is by far the most legendary and famous shop in The Great Alicorn City. Run by Surprise.
Pajamba's Potions: A one stop shop for all potion brewing and exotic zebrican ingredients.
Madam Puddinghoof's Tea Shop: Usually couples go here on dates.
Scribblescope's Quill Shop: A shop for all types of quills.

Honeyhooves
Honeyhooves is a legendary sweets shop famous for its unbelievable chocolate and many, wonderful and wild sweets. It is located in the famous, Accomplishment Square, and is frequented by citizens and tourists alike; indeed, one can barely move due to the crowd of visitors throughout the Hearth's Warming season. The shop is run by Surprise, who makes absolutely every sweet and treat herself with her own two hooves, working nonstop to make sure everything is 110% delicious.

Carnival Boutique is one of the largest buildings in The Great Alicorn City, and is by far the most extravagant and popular clothing shop in the city. Lovingly owned and managed by Popularity, the Carnival Boutique features some of the most amazing outfits anypony will ever lay their eyes on. The tourist description for the boutique reads as follows: "The one place you'll ever need to go for the most amazing custom made outfit, the greatest mane style and cuts, and the finest jewelry to leave anypony looking fabulous! Speak to Popularity for assistance at any time!"

Bubble Wish's Dress: The dress leaves her shoulders uncovered, instead it's supported around her neck and flows down into a graceful draped neckline. It's a close fit which adds to the grace and elegance of the crisp blue dress.
Her arms have been covered to just below her elbows. The sleeves broaden towards the bottom and playfully accentuate her coat and wings.
The dress' waist is broad, but it's a tight fit. A lavish bow has been wrapped around her and rests gentle on her lower back.
Below the waist the dress fits snug around her and has a seapony style. The dress reaches to just below her hind legs and is the same length all around.
She's wearing kitten heels, no other shoe would've matched this dress better. To top it all off she's wearing a gorgeous necklace and large jeweled earrings.
Opalescent's Dress: The dress leaves the top of her shoulders uncovered, but does cover the sides and flows down into a delicate plunging neckline. It's a snug fit which makes the dress look smart and stylish.
Her arms and hooves are completely uncovered. A choice which adds to the elegance and grace of the dress.
The dress' waist is thin, but it's a slim fit. An elastic band within the dress perfectly accentuates her waist and breaks up the dress nicely.
Below the waist the dress fits snug around her and has a tube style. The dress reaches all the way down to the ground and is the same length all around.

Grace De Saint's Dress: The dress leaves her shoulders uncovered, instead it's supported around her neck and flows down into a tasteful jewel neckline. It's a comfortable fit which gives the dress a relaxed, yet graceful look.
Her arms have been left uncovered. Which is a good thing too, her silky coat isn't something you want to cover up.
The dress' waist is narrow, but it's a loose fit. A bow has been wrapped around her and rests gently on her belly.
Below the waist the dress fits snug around her and has a pencil style. The dress reaches to just below her knees and is longer at the sides and back of the dress.

Muleberry's Dress: The dress covers her shoulders halfway and flows down into a modest draped neckline. It's a relaxed fit which helps remove some of the unwanted attention on her flank, but does so by still looking elegant.
Her arms have been covered to only just below her shoulders. A good choice too, as her soft lavender coat and the color of the dress form a perfect combination.
The dress' waist is thin, but it's a slim fit. A small, elegant belt helps accentuate her waist without being too much.
