I’m lifting the ban of not talking about Equestrian events. Please still active on the watch as well, but post here if it’s easier.

Trottingham has been frozen. For the moment that’s all we know. Tech is taking it very hard. He was in Manehatten when it happened, but is on his way there now to see if there’s anything he could help.

If you are from Trottingham, or have friends there, please post to let us know what the situation is like. The only reason we know anything is thanks to the weather team in the area. The Wonderbolts have been dispatched, so we’ll probably know more soon, but if anypony knows anything, tell us so that they aren’t flying in blind.

My husband just checked. Thank the stars, the ponies and griffins are fine. Half the city is frozen solid and there’s more. There a storm that make it difficult for magic to penetrate. Discord tried to defrost things, but for some unknown reason the magic is not susceptible to his magic.

I know you have done help initiatives in the past and I implore you to do so again. As long as we gather things in one place, Discord could very well take them there.

Why not send dragons to warm things up? We used to that all the time when I was there :) I’m sure SteveThumb would rush to do that right away. He’s such a cutie. :)

Also, not sure how this is related, but chaos magic most likely won’t work in this situation. I’ve been researching this with MightyDragon and HopHop. Ice is an extreme order construct and as such is very resistant to chaos magic.

I’m saying this just so you are careful when you go there and back. There’s a very real possibility that discord, or anyone else, gets imprisoned by the ice. I suspect that’s another reason why normal magic cannot get through. As insignificant the effect, chaos magic is an integral part of unicorn magic. Without complicating things, our magic is between chaos and order. Both extremes make standard unicorn magic unusable.

Sis had an idea! She’s going to get some stormclouds from the evergreen and fly them to Trottingham. Since they are inherently chaotic in nature they should drill a hole in the storm and let normal magic get through.

I got this from Spitfire: all Wanderbolts shall make a slipstream tunnel to Trottingham. @CEOWitch: get all available trainees and weather teams and help Derpy get those clouds.

Okay, so things seems to be more or less okay (I use the term loosely). Good thing is that only half the city is frozen. Bad news is that it seems that the Windigo did it. From what I understood he started freezing the city then just stopped and disappeared. 

Anyway, half the city has offered shelter to the other half, so things are not as bad as they could be. Having clothes and dragons will still be a good idea. And I’ve no idea how much rebuilding will be needed.

@all: the situation is very serious, but I just want to ask everyone to be calm. I know it’s difficult, but we won’t solve anything by going all crazy. Remember the first rule of rescuing somepony who can’t swim.

Things are being done and the Wonderbolts are on the way (plus, dragons, griffins, and various weather teams.)

I know you all want to help, but even little things (like clothes and blankets) are important. We don’t all have to be Danny.
