//------------------------------// // Spitfire gets advice // Story: A voice to be heard // by lightingwing //------------------------------// Spitfire wasn't to happy, the last performance turned out to not be that good. She had made that routine. It was a new one. It was supposed to dazzle the audience in awe. It was to be their finest performance that they have ever done. Although it didn't go as planned. "Hey, Spitfire." Said the newest Wonderbolt, Skywing. "Something wrong?"There was clear concern in her voice. Skywing could tell something was wrong but didn't know what. Spitfire looked at Skywing "no nothing's wrong." I just have a lot of work to do. Spitfire told Skywing. She tried her best to convince her but to avail. Skywing knew that Spitfire was lying, she knew that look. The look in Spitfire's eyes the look of disappointment and guilt. She knew it all too well because she had experienced it. She knew the stress of being a leader and who feels gets the blame put on them if something goes wrong. That look was so hard to ignore. She had to keep pushing her until she gets the truth out of Spitfire. "I can tell that's not true Spitfire. You know that I'm not only a Wonderbolt" Skywing told Spitfire. She sees all the Wonderbolts as teammates, friends and family. When something is bothering you family you need to help them. If the need her then she is there for them. Spitfire always wondered how Skywing could do that she always seemed to know how any pony was feeling. No pony could hide anything from her. She was always a team player. If you know the saying I'm your wing Skywing is the complete definition of that saying, some pony wants to know what that saying means look no further than Skywing. "Okay, fine I am just upset about the last performance, as you know it didn't go as planned." Spitfire told Skywing. She knew hide it from. She couldn't even lie about what she was upset about. "So, what's wrong with that?" Skywing asked trying to understand how Spitfire was feeling at the moment. "I made the routine, it was my idea. I should have known what would happen. Spitfire said Skywing started to understand how Spitfire was feeling. She remembered something from when she was younger. "Well Spitfire, I know exactly how you feel." Skywing told Spitfire. Spitfire looked at Skywing in surprise how could Skywing understand how she was feeling. "How could you understand how I'm feeling?" Spitfire asked. Skywing was younger then Spitfire, there is no way she could understand how Spitfire was feeling. "Well, when I was younger when I was in fight school, we had to make a routine for the other Pegasus in the school to perform. I had put a lot of difficult moves in mine, some of the moves I put in were so hard that the other pegasi couldn't do them. I felt so bad that I had done that to them. The guilt that I felt was not good. I couldn't believe that I had done that to the other pegasi." Skywing told Spitfire. "It can get hard to make those kinds of decision. But any decision that is made no matter the result has a fifty-fifty chance at being a good or bad one. But you should always remember that everyone make good and bad decisions no pony always makes good decisions." Skywing tried as hard as she could to reassure Spitfire without influencing her decision. It was her decision to make anyways. No matter what happens it's Spitfire who needs to make this decision. She was only there to make it easier. Spitfire thought about what Skywing just said. She started to think that what she should do is learn from it. She was snapped out of her thoughts when she heard Skywing start to talk again. I'm not saying that you shouldn't be guilty, I'm also not saying that you should be guilty. I'm just saying that you have decisions to make and chose the decision that you believe is the correct one." Skywing finished. She knew that Spitfire was thinking about what she had said. Skywing just hoped that Spitfire would make the decisions that she believed to be right even if Skywing didn't agree with them. If Spitfire believe they were right then that is good enough for her. After that Sky with left and walk to the mess hall to hang out with the other Wonderbolts. She also want to give Spitfire time to think and sort out her thoughts. She had to thank Skywing for what she had done to help her. Skywing had made the decision easier to make. It would have been harder without Skywing. Spitfire couldn't stop thinking about what Skywing had said. 'Make the decision that you believe is the right one' those words were the ones that Spitfire kept thinking about. That's when she made her decision. Spitfire went to the mess hall every pony turned to look at her. She went over to Skywing. "I want to thank you for what you said to me." Spitfire said. Spitfire was grateful that Skywing had bugged her enough to get answers out of her. It would have been harder to forgive herself for the bad decision to be made. Spitfire was happy that Skywing cared so much about her teammates so much. No matter if it was a trick that they couldn't or personal problem she would help her teammates. "No problem Spitfire. I glad to help out. Just part of being part of a team. Helping each other when a team member feels lost." Skywing told Spit fire with a smile. After all teamwork is the most important part of being a Wonderbolt. You're a team and so you always have to help each other when one is weak and help them to be strong. She will always be there for her teammates. No matter what. She knows what it's like to face the world alone. No pony should have to face the world alone.
