Chapter 11

A year later, Silver packs up and heads off to art school. Once she's there, her artistic talent begins to thrive and her teachers don't even care that she's not like normal ponies. All they care about is her art and that's what she absolutely loves. She finally found a place where she belongs and where she isn't shunned for being a mutant. On all her art assignments, she gets As and Bs and that always puts a smile on her face. Even so, she still keeps in touch with Doctor Hoofman's school. She writes him or Sol and Aqua every weekend or whenever she has free time. She goes back over there for the holidays, Christmas, Thanksgiving, any holiday really. She's glad they're still part of her life even if it is a smaller part than it used to be.

A few minutes later, Silver's teacher walks up behind her and compliments her on her work. "Great job, Silver," says her teacher, Miss Gloria Diadem. "Keep it up."

"Thanks," replies Silver with a smile. Miss Gloria then walks off to view another student's work. She then does that for the rest of the class.

Two hours later, the class draws to a close and Silver goes off to her dorm room, where she plops down her bag and plops down on her bed. There, she grabs her personal sketchbook and begins to sketch in it. She happily sits there and hums a song as she sketches a picture of her puppy that she used to have as a child. She then continues to sketch pictures of her puppy for the rest of the afternoon until dinner.

At dinner that night, Silver sits down with her new friends Kiki and Nikki. As she sits with them, the three chatter about their days after every other bite of mashed potatoes. The three are glad they're friends and Silver even shows them the drawings of her puppy, which they are very impressed by. As they compliment her pictures, Silver's face just glows with a great big smile. She's so lucky. She's in her dream school, she has the best of friends, no one cares that she's a mutant, nothing could possibly go wrong.
