//------------------------------// // Speculations 1 // Story: Equestrian Fanfiction // by Lise //------------------------------// I know this is the hundredth thread about this, but wow that finale! It got me so confused I don’t know what’s what. All of you know I’ve been a bit critical of the series at times, but that really kicked me out of the barn! And now the biggest question is: what the *yay* happened? Was that Equestria? Our Equestria? Is it just another manipulation on the part of the deities? The truth is we don’t know! It’s entirely possible, though implausible, that Danny wakes up next chapter in his dorm and goes “What’s up?” And Loki just sighs and gets back to studying. Not to mention it could be another reality. Poseidon being the creator, though...just wow. (And I thought the reveal was that the Everhere didn’t belong to Zeus.) Come to think of it, that explains a lot, especially why Zeus is so weak all the time. Seriously, it’s always the great8 that had to fix things for Zeus to give some vague words of thanks and a skill or two. Now it makes sense: Poseidon created the Everhere and the gems, and got split into pieces, Hades got corrupted, and Zeus took the reigns even if this wasn’t his reality. (That leaves the question which is Zeus’ reality? Does he have one at all?) In any event, well done, writers. Please, please, please don’t mess up the next volume! MixaMax I’m glad there was no betting pool, or I would have cleaned out everypony. MixaMax liked the finale? What are the odds?! Of course it want anything like Volume five :P Heh? It was a great one, though, and definitely something none of us expected. Looking at things, I think this is the real Equestria. The Princesses bowing means that they agree with what is going on, and since we have none of the other deities say anything to oppose, I take it as truth. Interesting to see what happens now. In theory the Everhere is controlled by Hades and Zeus (it was before, but this time is in inverse). And let’s not forget the titans are there too. Does that mean that the corporations will be destroyed, ally themselves to the new power or survive as neutral elements? And let’s not forget Omni who we still don’t know if he’s himself or part of the Everprince. So many things to look forward to :) Brush I reread the whole Volume. Knowing the end makes for an entirely different read. Seriously! Try it! A lot of things that at the time seemed weird or amusing now seem just in place. I can’t describe it! You must do it in order to see! The way I see it, this might be a plot Poseidon came up with to become whole again. Now, hear me out! We know that the Everprince planned his return generations ago, through Omni’s bloodline. What if Poseidon planned everything else so that he was reborn in Equestria? Let’s not forget that the statue had to get there somehow. If Princess Celestia was the one who turned him to stone (was she?) why put him there? Did he order it? Or is there something else in play? Let’s not forget there are still four evergems out there, not to mention a lot of powers that haven’t attacked (Lada and Computrix come to mind.) whatever happens MCE 2 will be great! :)) PrinceEric Well it wasn’t that surprising. We discussed it with Lyra a bit. Both of us suspected that the Everhere wasn’t Zeus’ reality. Out theory went that it belonged to the Everprince (it still might. If you read carefully it isn’t specified anywhere that it belonged to Poseidon.) Personally, I thought that Equestria was fake and that it would turn out that it’s linked to Poseidon’s prison (to make the merging convenient). Another interesting this is... what if Equestria is the prime reality? We know that the Everhere connects all, and that other dimensions battle for control, but what if Poseidon created the evergems from Equestria and Mistmount formed as a result? LightSparkle @LightSparkle: You see the flaw, right? For that to be true, that means there must be nine corporations in Equestria. And even if we consider the Elements of Harmony to be of those, it still wouldn’t work! For one thing there are only six of them, but also, their nature is very different. The evergems are described as reality shattering gems, while the Elements... well, they aren’t. TrueSparkle Don’t forget there are other gems in Equestria of equal power: the crystal heart, the Dragon Lord scepter, Queen Chrysalis’ throne. Each of them have the necessary power to be considered a gem. The lack of corporations are good point..l until one considers them tribes. We have the three tribes, changelings, dragons, griffins, sea ponies, crystal ponies, and windigos. That might very well make up for the equivalent of the corporations. As for Poseidon creating Equestria, it is quite logical since the myths talk about him being deity of horses as well. DarkSparkle Oh! My! Stars! All of us are water! Poseidon is deity of the sea, thus everything he has created is made of water! So we too must be made of water! Now I know why I feel so dizzy when in the scorching heat! It all makes sense! MightyDragon @MightyDragon: *gasp* It does! That’s why I was able to make copies from myself from the mirror pool! I bet that the statue of the real Poseidon is there at the bottom! Or maybe it isn’t a statue? What if it’s the real Poseidon, looking at us? That’s why when I asked for more mes he made it happen. *gasp* I must bring him some cake in thanks! PPI @RRBB: Hey, why so quiet lately? Everything okay? I know business is difficult, but send a line so we don’t worry, okay? MixaMax @MixaMax: I think she just needs some rest. The reading was exhausting for some. (I don’t see Jade posting either :P) YouKnowWho Shut up! MixaMax
