DBX: Kirby vs Astelle

NO RULES!
JUST BLOODSHED!
DBX!!!

It was a relatively normal-looking day in Equestria. The sun was shinning, the grass was green, and Ponyville didn't seem off at first glance. However, looks can be deceiving. For upon closer inspection, Ponyville was in utter pandemonium! The animals were panicing, species that were once intelligent, like dragons; were on rampages and incapable of reason, and pegasi and unicorns' abilities to control the weather and perform spells was weakening. Unknown to them, this was all because their world was about to change.

For in the heart of the Everfree Forest lied a cave. And in the cave was the Tree of Harmony, the source of all magic in Equestria, and it was about to die. Two ponies were also in the cave, ready to kill the tree once and for all. One of the ponies was tall with a dark violet coat. She was an alicorn with large wings and a long pointy horn. She wore a blue chestplate with a white star in the middle and her mane and tail were really long with three streaks of varying shades of purple and one pink streak. Her sclera was pitch black and her iris was also purple like one of the streaks of her mane. Her name was Trixie Lulamoon, or as she was now known as, Nightmare Lulamoon. Though if you saw her, you'd say she was actually Twilight Sparkle. That was because Twilight and Trixie had switched bodies, but that's a long story.

Trixie was currently having a vision courtesy of the other pony, Astelle. She was bigger than Trixie and had given her the power she now possessed. Her coat was a very dark blue and her wings and horn were also large and pointy. She wore a silver chestplate with a red jewel in the center and matching silver shoes. Her mane and tail were a dark crimson and looked unkempt, as if she was going mad. Her sclera was also black and her iris was bright red. She was also the long lost older sister of Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. Again, long story.

Trixie had finished having the vision and she looked at Astelle with a slightly puzzled look on her face.

"So, hold on," Trixie said, "let me get this straight. Star Swirl trained you to be his successor so he could die in peace but didn't tell you this until much later."

  "Yes," Astelle said bluntly.

"And once you found out, it ticked you off so much that you just straight up left?"

"Yes. I think the vision made that obvious."

"And during your time away, you came to the conclusion that magic is evil and that it needs to be eliminated?"

"I don't think you need to be a scholar to piece that together."

"So you came back to face Star Swirl and turned him into this tree so he couldn't die and that was why your sister turned you into a tapestry?"

"That was literally what you just saw!"

"...and now you're going to kill this tree that is Star Swirl"

"YES! Were you not paying attention?! Why else did you think we came-"

Astelle stopped herself as she slowly realized the huge inconsistency with her whole plan. "...oh..."

"Yeah," said Trixie "doesn't that kind of just give him what he wan-"

"I'm aware of the flaw in the plan," Astelle cut her off. "I am thinking about that right now."

"You mean you had over a thousand years to craft your plan and you didn't even think it all the way through?!" Trixie exclaimed.

"Look, in my defense, I had already had a REALLY bad day at the time I originally thought of this," Astelle explained, "and I'm not the kind of pony that thinks well under those conditions. Though with that being said, I think I did a pretty good job thinking up a plan given the conditions I was in."

"Yeah, because not at all knowing what to do is good planning on your part." Trixie said sarcastically.

"Hey, I gave you your power and I can just as easily take it away!" Astelle warned.

While both of them were bickering, neither of them noticed that the Tree of Harmony right behind them was starting to glow with a white light. From it's center, a rainbow then burst out. It whizzed right passed Trixie's head and caused Astelle to duck. It blitzed out of the cave and shot straight up into the air.

"Whoa! What the heck?!" Trixie exclaimed. She and Astelle went outside and looked up at the continuously shooting rainbow. "What the heck is this?!"

"I'm not sure," Astelle answered," though, I have a hunch that Star Swirl could be calling out an S.O.S of some kind with this." Astelle then turned back to the tree. "But I'm going to end this before his little hero even gets the chance to come here." Astelle then started to pace back towards the tree.

"But wait, you're just going to give him what he ultimately wants," Trixie reminded her.

"DOH!" Astelle stopped in her tracks. "Alright, hold on, I've got an idea brewing. I just need time to fully flesh it out." While Astelle continued thinking, the rainbow shot through the atmosphere and soared across the cosmos faster than the speed of light.

Meanwhile, on a distant planet shaped like a star, everyone was frisking and playing around. Interesting creatures called Waddle Dees and Waddle Doos were dancing around and chasing each other, the Scarfies were in their peaceful state, and a mysterious knight known as Meta Knight was standing in the shadows as usual. Under a tree in the meadow, a cute pink puffball known as Kirby was sitting down ready to enjoy a slice of cake. He had a fork and a knife ready and started to dig in.

Before the utensils could reach the cake, however, a rainbow suddenly shot through the sky and hit the ground, causing a large but short shockwave. This was still enough to knock Kirby into the tree and flip over his plate, causing the cake to splatter on the grass.

Everyone in the meadow stopped what they were doing and turned to look at the strange rainbow. They then started to gather around to see what it was. Kirby got up and the first thing he saw was his cake ruined. His expression then became one of anger and he turned and charged at the rainbow. He headbutted it and then there was a flash of light.

The next thing Kirby knew, he was standing on a plane of complete whiteness. Kirby got up again and looked around for any signs of life. Then, he spotted an old looking pony with a gray coat. He had a white curly beard that matched his mane. He wore a blue wizard hat and robe, with golden decorations on the tip and rim.

"Hello," the pony spoke slowly with a voice that showed his age, "savior of countless worlds."

"I don't have all the time in the world to explain, so I'll make this as quick as I can," the pony explained. "My name is Star Swirl the Bearded. I come from a world far away from this one. This is my story. I was once the most powerful and respected wizard in my world. Ponies would seek me for guidance and I would always help them. I became so great that I was even able to crack the secret of immortality.

"For years, I served as Ponykind's ruler and guide of sorts. As time went by, however, I grew weary and long for the sweet release of death. But I couldn't just abandon my little ponies, so I sought an apprentice who could take my place one day. Based on a vision, I selected a simple earth mare named Astelle to be my successor. She had always wanted to learn magic, so she accepted in a heartbeat and learned fast.

"After a year under my tutelage and a great war, I gifted her with a great pair of wings and immortality. It was only then, however, that I revealed my true intentions to her. This angered her greatly and she ran away that night. It was only then that I realized my mistake.

"You see, I had misinterpreted my vision and it turned out that it was her younger sister that I was to train, Celestia. I then took her under my wing and actually told her everything up front this time. She understood and was willing to take my place. However, I hadn't seen the last of Astelle.

"I have no idea what it is she went through, but shortly after Celestia's training was done, Astelle returned. She blamed me for everything that happened to her and she was convinced that magic must be eliminated from Equestria. Me and Celestia fought her with everything we had, but it ultimately ended with Astelle turning me into The Tree of Harmony and becoming the source of all of Equestria's magic. Because of that, I could never die for the sake of Equestria.

"Enraged by this, Celestia sealed her sister away in a tapestry and intended to keep her there for the rest of eternity. However, over a thousand years later, Astelle escaped from her prison and locked Celestia away in one of her own. Now, she has taken a lackey of her own and intends to kill me as I am to exterminate magic in Equestria once and for all." Star Swirl paused for a minute.

"Huh," he said, "I now understand why she's currently thinking and hasn't done anything to me yet. Regardless, this has given me the opportunity to cast this spell to seek out a powerful warrior who could best Astelle. And it seems that this has lead me to you. The spell gave me visions of your exploits in the past. You are indeed a mighty warrior who can save my world. For without magic, everything will die off." Star Swirl then started to fade away.

"I can't keep this vision much longer," he said. "Please, follow this rainbow to the place in Equestria where Astelle and her apprentice are. From there, prevent them from killing the tree, which is me, and save my world. Don't let pony kind suffer for my mistakes." Star Swirl then disappeared completely.

The next thing Kirby knew, he was knocked back and hit the ground. Everyone surrounded him and looked down at him. Kirby then got up and looked up towards where the rainbow was coming from. After a few moments, Kirby summoned a star large enough for him to ride and hopped on. It wound back for a few seconds and then shot up to follow the rainbow.

"I've got it!" Astelle exclaimed. "I won't kill the tree, but torture it to a point where I'll permanently strain it enough to get rid of magic but not to a point where It'll die. That way, Equestria will finally be free, Star Swrl won't get his ultimate wish, and he'll be in a lot of pain constantly, making him want death even more! Genius!"

"Can trees even feel pain?" asked Trixie. "Plus, how will you know when to stop? What if you end up killing him by accident?"

"Look, I'm trying!" exclaimed Astelle. "I've already come too far to just give up now and call it quits. I'll think of something!"

But right after she said that, Kirby zipped right through the sky and landed. His Warp Star burst and he did a flip in the air and landed on his feet. Astelle and Trixie turned to see the three foot pink ball that was looking at them.

"What is that thing?" Trixie asked.

"That," Astelle said, "Star Swirl is about to die, knowing full well what it will do to Equestria, and the best he summoned to defend him is that?"

Astelle and Trixie turned to each other and then back at Kirby. Both of them then burst out laughing. Kirby just continued looking at them.

"Oh wow!" shouted Astelle between fits of laughter. "Well, I guess we just have absolute confirmation now that Star Swirl REALLY wants to die! I mean...Wow!"

"But hey," said Trixie, "let's humor him a bit." Trixie cleared her throat. "Oh no! The tiny pink, rosy cheeked bubblegum ball with stubs for arms!" Trixie said extremely sarcastically. "My one weakness! Oh, whatever shall I do?" Trixie then shot a beam of magic right at Kirby. It blitzed towards him at great speed. But Kirby just flipped back and opened his mouth and started inhaling. The beam went into his mouth and his cheeks puffed up. Kirby then spit the beam back out at the same speed it had been shot at him, only it was now a star. It hit Trixie dead on and she was knocked back.

"...seriously?" Astelle said nonchalantly. "You seriously just got one-upped by that thing?" Trixie got back up, and was now slightly mad.

"Alright, come at me!" Trixie shouted at Kirby. Kirby complied and ran at Trixie at a surprising speed. Nevertheless, Trixie charged at Kirby and raised her forelegs to trample him. As she brought them down, though, Kirby swiftly slid under her and flipped up with his legs up, knocking Trixie upwards. Kirby puffed himself up and floated upwards. Once he was on the same level as Trixie, Kirby let out the air and inhaled Trixie. Once he landed, Kirby spat Trixie out and she hit the ground so hard she bounced up a little. Kirby then jabbed her rapidly and leaped up to roundhouse kick her in the face, sending her skidding and crashing into the cave wall.

When the dust cleared, Astelle saw that Trixie was clearly seeing stars. She shook it of, though, and charged at Kirby again. Astelle watched her only to scrunch up her eyes and raise her forelegs when Kirby started beating Trixie really badly. She briefly opened one eye, but closed it immediately when she saw what Kirby was doing. She had no idea Trixie could bend that way. She tried opening her eye again and closed it again since it was still too brutal of a beating even for her to watch. Trixie continually screamed and begged for mercy for roughly ten more seconds before she finally went quiet after a loud blow. Astelle opened her eyes to see Kirby standing triumphantly on top of Trixie, who had completely fainted.

"Really?" groaned Astelle, "She couldn't even beat that thing?! Ugh, I think it's very obvious I gave the wrong pony power." Astelle sighed. "Welp," she then lit up her horn. "Looks like I'm going to have to destroy this thing on my own."

HERE WE GO!!!

Astelle shot a beam of magic at Kirby. Kirby flipped upwards and the attack missed. Kirby then ran at Astelle, but Astelle picked Kirby up with her magic and smashed him into the cave wall. Kirby pushed himself out of the wall and noticed a few rock falling from the ceiling. He absorbed one of the rocks and his appearance changed. He had turned brown and he now wore a samurai helmet. Astelle shoot several more beams at Kirby. Kirby ran at Astelle and dodged the beams effortlessly. Astelle lit up her horn to pick up Kirby again, but Kirby quickly turned into a large rock and spun around, knocking Astelle off her feet.

Kirby changed back and jumped over Astelle. He then turned into a statue of himself and dropped down on Astelle. Astelle teleported out of the way before Kirby hit the ground and appeared in the air with her wings flapping. She charged a really powerful beam of magic and fired it with all her might, causing an explosion in the process. When the smoke cleared, Astelle saw that Kirby was unaffected and he changed back. Kirby puffed up and floated up towards Astelle. Astelle shot a continuous beam at Kirby. Kirby let out the air and avoided it. He puffed back up, but Astelle did a loop and shot at Kirby again.

Kirby let out his air again and fell to avoid the beam. This time, he noticed he was under Astelle. Kirby turned into a rock again and tried falling on Astelle again. Astelle easily avoided it and Kirby just hit the ground. Astelle then summoned several thorny vines. Kirby turned back only for the vines to wrap around him. Kirby tried breaking out, but the vines kept squeezing him and driving in their thorns. After doing this multiple times, he lost his copy ability and was back to normal.

The vines raised Kirby up to Astelle and she lit up her horn. She spent a few moments charging and shot out a beam that hit Kirby dead center and caused a huge explosion. Astelle touched the ground and saw the smoke spread.

"Hmph, so easy." Astelle then turned and walked towards the tree. But while she did, Kirby landed on the ground with no injuries from the explosion. He ran at Astelle and when she turned around, Kirby leaped up and jabbed her in the face. Astelle slid back and slammed into the Tree of Harmony.

"What?!" she shouted, "How did it survive that?!" A piece of the vines then landed between them. Kirby sucked that up and his appearance changed again. This time, he was yellow with a cap that had several large spikes on top. Kirby curled up into a spiky ball and rolled towards Astelle. She teleported out of the way and Kirby hit the tree instead. He rolled up the trunk and across a branch and was now on the cave wall. Astelle reappeared farther away from the tree and Kirby rolled towards her again. Astelle flew up and Kirby missed again. Astelle then shot another exploding beam at Kirby, but Kirby avoided it. Astelle shot another, but Kirby avoided that to. Astelle fired three more bolts around the cave and Kirby just rolled around avoiding them all.

Astelle screamed and fired another beam with a bit more kick to it. This time, Kirby uncurled from the ball and ditched the copy ability. He then inhaled Astelle's shot and spit it right back at her. It hit Astelle at full force and created another explosion. Astelle was knocked upwards and she slammed into the cave ceiling. Kirby created a Warp Star and flew up at her. Astelle started falling towards the ground, but stopped herself with her wings. When she did this though, Kirby leaped off his Warp Star and drop kicked Astelle in the face. This sent Astelle flying out of the cave. Kirby landed back on his Warp Star.

Astelle landed several feet out of the cave and Kirby followed her. His Warp Star hit the ground and dispersed a few feet away from Astelle. Kirby threw a punch, but Astelle put up a barrier that Kirby ended up hitting instead. Astelle made the barrier burst and knocked Kirby back. She then summoned several floating black gems and launched them at Kirby. He dodged them with ease and Astelle summoned a wave of spiked black gems. Kirby leaped over it and puffed up to complete the jump. Astelle shot another beam at Kirby and he let his air out to absorb it. He spit it back out at Astelle and it hit her dead on, causing her to slide back slightly.

Astelle looked at Kirby and scowled as she launched herself at Kirby. However, Kirby took this opportunity and quickly entered his own stomach. Kirby then ended up in a separate endless plane of existence that contained multiple things he ate. (Author's Note: No, I am not making this up. Kirby can actually do this.) He looked around and then spotted a Knuckle Joe he ate a while back. Kirby went up to him and touched him, creating a bright light. Kirby then reappeared on the plane of existence where he was fighting Astelle. He now dawned a red headband and a more serious-looking expression.

"Shoryuken!" Kirby shouted as he leaped up and uppercutted Astelle. She was knocked back and Kirby hit her with a ball of energy while shouting "Hadouken!" that knocked her down again. Kirby launched himself at Astelle with his foot extended, creating a mach cone around it. He hit Astelle and quickly grabbed her. He flipped her over and slammed her into the ground. He launched himself at Astelle again, but this time Astelle caught him with her magic just before he could hit her.

Astelle stood up and telekinetically slammed Kirby into the ground behind her. She then slammed him into the ground in front of her as well. She then slammed him behind her again and then in front of her again. she then spun him around and slammed him into the wall of the ravine they were in, causing him to lose his copy ability. She then brought Kirby in front of her and brought up several vines that wrapped around him. She then cast a spell that started to turn Kirby into a tree. The bark formed around Kirby's body and roots started to plant themselves into the ground.

"How ironic," Astelle stated, "Star Swirl's little savior just ends up meeting the same horrible fate he did." Astelle started laughing, but her feeling of triumph was short lived as Kirby broke the spell and ended up with a crown of leaves on his head, causing Astelle to slide back.

"What?! Impossibl-" Astelle was unable to finish as Kirby had hit her by spinning around and forming a leaf tornado. The surprisingly razor sharp leaves left several cuts beneath Astelle before Kirby kicked her in the face and knocked her back. Astelle landed on her hooves and used one of them to grip the area where the cuts were left. Kirby then sent several leaves at her. Astelle created another barrier and blocked them, this time only blocking her front rather than having it completely surround her.

Astelle lowered her barrier and lit her horn up again. This caused the ground to shake a little bit. Kirby quickly created a bush to hide behind the moment before several large black crystal spikes shot up from the ground. The spikes lowered and Kirby leaped out of the bush. Hiding in it had somehow caused him to not be hurt by all the spikes. Video game logic, don't question it.

Astelle grunted, then she spread her wings and flew off at a high speed. Kirby looked up at her and then summoned another Warp Star and flew at her. He caught up to her with ease and punched her. Astelle was caught off guard and Kirby flew forward only to come back and punch her from another angle. Kirby did this again, only this time faster. He did this several more times and was moving way too fast for Astelle to react. Kirby then punched Astelle in a way that sent her crashing into the ground near the edge of one of the cliffs of the ravine. Kirby landed right in front of Astelle and summoned some more leaves, ready to use them to end this.

  "WAIT!" Astelle shouted.

music stops

Kirby halted his attack and looked down at Astelle. She was sweating bullets as her mind tried to conjure up something to say. Then, she asked this, "Do you...like...cake?"

Kirby looked down at Astelle for a little bit, then he burst into a big smile and let out a happy "Poyo!"

Astelle stared wide eyed at Kirby but then shook her head. She honestly did not expect that to work but she just rolled with it.

"I'll take that as a yes," she said. "Well, I can take you to a place where you can eat a lot of cake! You can stuff yourself with it for hours and there will still be plenty more!" Kirby jumped around and waved his arms happily. "But," Astelle said, "I'll take you there on one condition. You get rid of that weird leaf power you now possess." Without a second thought, Kirby ditched his copy ability and stood next to Astelle.

"Perfect. Then we're off!" Astelle then lit up her horn and she and Kirby disappeared in a flash of red light.

Meanwhile, in the dungeons of an old castle, eight ponies and a dragon were stuck in there with nothing to do. Six of the ponies and the dragon also had their bodies switched between each other. Except for Twilight, who as we all know switched with Trixie against her will. The other two ponies were Celestia and Luna themselves. Celestia was currently chained up and Luna was sitting in the corner doing what she does best: being an emo for fans to latch onto for no good reason. In fairness, though, Celestia was also feeling guilty for things thousands of years ago when she really didn't do anything wrong when you think about it. But hey, none of that is important, so back to the plot.

"Welp," said Applejack in Fluttershy's body, "the world is about to change for the worst in a move that's going to eventually kill everyone and we're stuck in here with nothing we can do about it. I hate to say it, but I'm throwing in the towel."

"What?!" shouted Rainbow Dash in Spike's body. "You're seriously just going to give up like that?! We can't just give up! We have to stop her!"

"But how?" asked Spike in Rainbow Dash's body. "We can't use any magic and there's no way out of here. Even if we did get out, our chances of making it to the tree on time are very slim."

"Plus," said Rarity in Pinkie Pie's body, "we know Astelle is extremely powerful now that she has the amulet. And she even has Trixie to help her, who now has similar power. We wouldn't stand a chance against them anyways."

"So, this is it, huh?" said Twilight in Trixie's body, "we lost, didn't we?"

"What's going to happen to all of us?" asked Fluttershy in Applejack's body. Pinkie Pie in Rarity's body put her hoof around her.

"Hey," she said, "maybe it won't be so bad. I mean, what's the worst that could happen?"

"The whole country becomes like the Everfree Forest," Luna answered.

"That question was rhetorical," said Pinkie.

"So we just give up, huh?" said Rainbow Dash, "we just sit here while some hypocritical psycho gets her way and ruins everything?!"

"I'm afraid so," Celestia said somberly, "for no pony could possibly stand up to Astelle no-"

music stops

Celestia was interrupted, however, when Kirby and Astelle appeared in the dungeon in a red flash of light. Kirby took a few steps forward and looked around the room with a big smile on his face. It disappeared, however, when he saw that there was no cake. Astelle then teleported outside the door and Kirby turned to see her face through the bars.

"You fool," Astelle said to Kirby, "I honestly thought you wouldn't be that easy to trick. But once again, it seem I misjudged you. You may have bested me in the Everfree Forest, but you are nothing but another one of my prisoners now. For you see, magic doesn't work here. So whatever power you were wielding before will no longer-"

"Wait wait wait! Hold up!" Rainbow Dash interrupted. "Did I hear you correctly?" Rainbow pointed at Kirby. "This thing was beating you up at the tree?!"

"Aw, look at him," Fluttershy said, "he's so adorable!" Kirby smiled at Fluttershy's compliment. Luna just chuckled.

"Wow," she said, "who knew that all we needed to beat the mighty Astelle was a walking pink...whatever this is."
"Shut up," Astelle responded. "And believe me when I say this thing is not at all what it seems!"

"Astelle?" said a shadow pony coming up behind her, "What are you doing back here early? And why haven't you killed the tree yet?"

"It's...complicated," Astelle answered. "But, I should have no more troubles now that this little demon is now in our-" Kirby wasn't even listening. Instead, he was gazing at Astelle. Then, an angry expression appeared on his face. She had promised him cake. And she lied to him! Kirby then ran at the door and drop kicked it, causing it to fly across the room and collapse most of the wall.

Astelle had seen Kirby was running before he kicked the door, so she quickly teleported out of the way just as it burst. It ended up crashing into Shadow instead and he hit the other wall with a loud bang and was knocked out. Kirby stepped out into the hall and he turned to Astelle, giving her a death glare.

"O-o-okay then," Astelle stuttered, "so, this place wasn't able to eliminate you're...apparently natural strength. But, I know for sure it has eliminated your weird power that allows you to copy what ever it is you ea-" Kirby just sucked up one of the torches on the wall and his appearance changed again. Now, he was red with a crown of fire.

"OH COME ON!" Astelle shouted in anger.

Kirby turned into a fireball and launched himself at Astelle. She teleported out of the way and reappeared in the now destroyed doorway. She levitated a ton of the rubble and launched it at Kirby. Kirby side stepped some of it and flipped to the side to avoid some more. He rolled on the ground towards Astelle and dodged more of the rubble in the process. Kirby got close enough and blew fire onto Astelle's front hooves. It heated up the shoes so much that Astelle flung them off. Both of them hit Kirby, but the heated metal didn't really hurt him. It did however, cause Kirby to flinch and gave Astelle an opening to send the rest of the rubble at him in a wave.

The wave hit Kirby at full force and stopped at a more open room where Astelle had given Trixie her new power. Astelle burst into that room to find Kirby emerge from the pile of rubble without his copy ability. Kirby leaped up on top of the pile and absorbed one of the bricks. He spat it out at Astelle and she shot a beam in response. The projectiles collided and Kirby absorbed some more rubble and spit that at her. Astelle shot another beam that collided with Kirby's attack again. They fired several more colliding projectiles until Astelle's faster firing rate got past Kirby's assault. Kirby noticed and took cover behind the pile.

While taking cover, Kirby noticed a sword hung on a wall. It looked old and very unreliable, but Kirby could still use it. Kirby then absorbed a small pile of bricks and ran to the side. He spat them out at Astelle in the form of a much larger star than before. Astelle charged up an explosive beam and fired it at the star. They collided and it created a large explosion. This allowed Kirby to absorb the sword and transform again. He now wore a green cap with a yellow ball on the tip and wielded a much better-looking sword that the one he absorbed with a blue hilt.

Kirby then ran through the smoke from the explosion and dragged the sword across the ground, sending a wave of energy at Astelle. She flew up, avoiding the wave, and shot a beam down at Kirby. Kirby dodged and summoned a Warp Star and flew up to Astelle. She fired several beams at the star that Kirby avoided easily and finished with a continuous beam that Kirby was more than able to maneuver out of the way.

Astelle shot another continuous beam that Kirby blocked with his sword. Astelle put more intensity into her beam to try and break Kirby's guard. Kirby hung on and made the Warp Star move closer to Astelle. It slowly crept up to Astelle until Astelle ducked as Kirby swung his sword. He managed to slice off a clump of Astelle's mane and Astelle landed on the ground. Kirby did the same and his star dispersed.

Kirby and Astelle shot death glares at one another. Then, Astelle's eye's turned completely white and she floated up screaming. Her horn was glowing with a ton of red energy and the ground started shaking. Suddenly, several extremely large thorny vines crashed through the windows and stayed suspended in the air like tentacles. Kirby turned and looked at the massive plants.

One of the vines slammed down where Kirby was standing. Kirby jumped out of the way and sliced off part of the vine with his sword. Another vine came down and tried to wrap itself around Kirby. He stabbed at it and it flinched back. He did it again when it came closer. It then circled him, but Kirby leaped up and brought his sword in the same direction, slicing off that part of the vine.

Kirby landed on the vine and ran up it. One of the vines tried knocking him off, but Kirby deflected it with a loud clang. Another vine swung at Kirby and Kirby deflected that to. The vine he was on then started to swing around. Kirby leaped up and pointed his sword down. He then came down and stabbed the vine. The other vines started swarming towards Kirby. Using his energy, Kirby extended his sword and then spun around. He cut all the vines that were too close clean in half with this move.

One of the pieces of the vine fell near Astelle. Kirby leaped onto that part and ran towards Astelle. He then leaped off it and slashed Astelle with his sword. This attack caused several other slashes to happen at various areas on Astelle's body. She lost her concentration and fell to the ground. This caused the vines to go limp and shrivel into nothing.

Kirby turned and looked at Astelle on the ground. She had many cuts all over her body. Kirby then raised his sword ready to deal the killing blow. Astelle lit up her horn, however, and caused several black spikes to shoot up where Kirby was. They didn't impale him, but they did knock him upwards and caused him to lose his copy ability. Astelle then used her telekinesis to throw Kirby across the room. Kirby landed on his feet as Astelle levitated all the shards of glass all over the ground.

Astelle then flung the shards at Kirby. Kirby leaped up and avoided them. They curved back and whizzed at Kirby again. He rolled and avoided them again. They came back and this time, Kirby opened his mouth and sucked them up. He closed his eyes and inhaled as powerfully as he could as the shards entered his mouth. They flew right in for several seconds until finally, they ran out. Kirby then changed again. He now wore a yellow cap with black eyes on the front, little wings on the side, and a blade on top.

Frustrated, Astelle picked Kirby up with her magic and flung him out the broken window. Kirby hit a tree with his feet and rebounded. Astelle flew outside and blasted Kirby with another beam. Kirby leaped over it and threw the blade on his hat. Astelle side stepped the blade and ducked as it came back to Kirby. He caught the blade and ran at Astelle. Her eyes went white again and she lit up her horn and fired a barrage of beams. Kirby flipped and rolled out of the way of some of the bolts. He deflected one with the blade on his hat and leaped up, deflecting some more. He came back down and sent a wave of energy at Astelle.

Astelle's eyes went back to normal and she flew up to avoid the wave. She shot another beam and Kirby dodged. She fired three more beams and Kirby avoided them all. Kirby then charged up the blade and threw it up at Astelle. She dodged and the blade didn't curve back for a while. Kirby then puffed up and floated up at Astelle. She shot another beam and Kirby avoided it by letting his air out. He puffed back up and continued floating up at her. Astelle lit her horn and shot another beam. This time, she hit Kirby and he crashed into the ground, losing his copy ability in the process.

The blade Kirby threw earlier had fully curved back, however, and sliced Astelle's wing clean off. She screamed and grasped where her wing once was. Kirby caught the blade and it disappeared. Astelle crashed onto the ground and her wing fell in front of her. Kirby ran up to it and absorbed it. He then changed again. He now had two red equal signs on his cheeks and he wore an Indian headband adorned with feathers and two hawk wings on the side. Kirby shot sharp feathers at Astelle and she blocked them with her magic.

Astelle shot a beam at Kirby and he flapped his wings and avoided it. Kirby then did a loop and dived at Astelle. The charge pushed her back and Kirby came to a sudden stop, flinging her forward. She landed and her hooves and grunted angrily. She then hopped in the broken window and Kirby followed her. When he went in, though, Astelle shot a bolt of lightning from her horn at him. Kirby didn't expect this, so it hit him at full force and he lost his copy ability once again.

Astelle fired more lightning at Kirby, but he avoided it with blinding speed. Astelle fired another long streak of lightning, but Kirby absorbed it and changed. He turned green and wore a crown with several sparks of electricity emitting from it. Astelle summoned several large black crystals and flung them all at Kirby. He ran at them and created a dome of electricity that destroyed them all. He then dispersed it and ran up and shocked Astelle. She leaped up and Kirby reformed his dome of electricity. This straight up electrocuted Astelle and after a few seconds, Kirby dispersed the barrier and kicked Astelle close to the door outside.

"...whoa," said Applejack. Kirby turned to see the eight inhabitants of the cell staring at him with their mouths agape. They had entered at about the time Astelle summoned the vines and saw everything up until this point. It was only now one of them said anything. Kirby then noticed the hat on Applejack's head. He then ran over to the earth mare in a pegasus' body.

"Hey! what are ya-" Applejack said as Kirby ditched his copy ability and absorbed her hat. He changed and wore a bright red cowboy hat with blue stars. He also wielded a whip. He ran back to Astelle and snapped her with the whip. She recoiled and a long gash was visible on her face. Astelle glared at Kirby and he just struck her again. He hit her on the side and then did a trick where he spun his whip, leaving several deep gashes. Astelle yelled in pain and stumbled back. Kirby cracked his whip one final time.

"ENOUGH!" Astelle screamed at the top of her lungs. She levitated Kirby and the whip before it could hit her and threw him out the door. Kirby rolled around and then got back on his feet. "I HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS FOOLISHNESS! I AM GOING TO END THIS RIGHT NOW!" Astelle's eyes were white once again and she built up as much energy as she possible could into her horn. She then fired her strongest blast ever at Kirby.

The white beam was so large and powerful that it tore the ground in it's path apart. It also completely disintegrated a large line of trees and knocked over and bent others that were close to it. It blitzed out of the Everfree Forest and soared up over Ponyville. It eventually left the atmosphere and soared through space. Astelle screamed at the top of her lungs as she fired the blast. This lasted for what felt like forever, but in reality was only roughly 20-30 seconds. Finally, the beam started to get smaller and Astelle quieted down. If finally disappeared and Astelle went silent.

Astelle was panting heavily as she looked at the wake of her distruction. Thought she couldn't see much of it due to the large amount of smoke. Nobody dared say anything for several moments. Then, a voice broke the silence.

"Hai!" Kirby called out. Astelle's eyes widened in horror.

The smoke cleared to reveal Kirby unharmed, only he no longer had his copy ability. He gave Astelle a smirk, and without words pretty much told her, "You honestly thought that would do anything to me?" Astelle was full out panicking. That was the strongest attack she had ever conjured up, and it didn't do a thing!

"H-H-HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?!" Astelle screamed. Kirby said nothing, just summoned a Warp Star and flew at Astelle. She just stood there paralyzed as the Star crashed into her and broke through the roof. Kirby piloted the star up out of the atmosphere. Astelle let out a soft scream as they flew at blinding speed. It grew louder as they got farther and farther away from the planet.

Finally, the star crashed into the moon. It exploded and Kirby leaped off. The Warp Star was traveling so fast that when it hit, it caused a huge shockwave that left a giant crater on the moon.

Kirby looked down into the crater and saw Astelle embedded at the bottom. She didn't move and her eyes were wide. Kirby then formed another Warp Star and started on his way back home.
