//------------------------------// // Just a Usual Day // Story: Aeternitas Book I: Lunar Shadow // by Shadowlight Wanderer //------------------------------// Chapter 1 It was a regular but beautiful day in Ponyville. Celestia's sun just rose and Equestria was ready to begin a new day. Inside of a huge, tree- shaped castle a certain purple alicorn was shifting in her bed. She was sleeping soundly, enjoying the warmth of her slumber until... "Twilight!!!" yelled a voice behind bedroom's door. Spike, the baby dragon and number one assistant of Twilight Sparkle, princess of friendship, went to the room. He sighed seeing no apparent reaction from a purple mare. He said more gently:"Twilight, please wake up!" Twilight's reaction was a muffled mumbling: " One second I have to grab my skirt" Spike sighed once again: " She was talking to Lyra, wasn't she ?" he thought. Drake got closer to sleeping Twilight and whispered her into the ear: "Remember the party? You are going to be" Spike inhaled quickly and said a magic word" tardy!!!" Twilight's eyes opened widely. She flew up from her bed. She was still tangled in bed sheets so the flight ended as quickly as it began. Spike smiled slightly, seeing Twilight Sparkle, The Powerful and Wise Princess of Friendship, in her full glory of becoming one with the floor. Twilight was lying on a floor with her legs pointing in different cardinal direction and head slightly higher than the rest of her body . Spike chuckled when he said "Good morning Twilight. So, you are awake, huh?" "You don't say, Spike" muttered "purple pancake" "you were saying something about some party?" " Yeah, the party that we are throwing with girls for Cutie Mark Crusaders" replied Spike. Twilight quickly stood up and galloped away, brushing her mane quickly and looking for saddle bags. Spike was trying to keep up with her. "Oh no this is bad, bad, like really bad" Twilight panicked "we've so much to do. How could I oversleep? I should wake up earlier. I should-" "You should relax. Party starts in the evening. We've plenty of time before then." "So why you sounded so...in a hurry ?" Twilight frowned. "I think I found a quicker way to wake you up" explained Spike honestly. Twilight rolled her eyes but didn't said anything. Later this morning, Twilight and Spike was heading to a Sugarcube Corner to buy some cupcakes. Suddenly, their saw a wave of pink and then were hugged tightly by a pink earth pony "Twilight! Spike! Are you ready for some PAAARTY!!! I'm sure I'm! It's going to be so super-duper-luper-crazytastic!!!! Oh, I can't wait, really!!! It's so nice of you that we're throwing a party in your castle, Twilight, and I am a party planner. WHEEEEEEE!!!!!!!" exclaimed overenthusiastic Pinkie Pie. Her pink, cotton candy-like mane flew up and down when Pinkie bounced around in excitement "Where are you going? No, no, no ,no let me guess... Carousel Boutique? Sweet Apple Acres? hmm... Canterlot High...no, no...HYYYYYPPPP!!!!!." Pinkie hyperventilated and turned to look directly on Spike and Twilight "Or you are going to Sugarcube Corner. You are, aren't you ? Do you need any possible assistance in finding the treats ?" Twilight shook her head and replied "Thanks for the offer Pinkie but I think we will manage. Still... you can accompany us to Sugarcube Corner if you want." "How funny" said Pinkie Pie" Cause I was just going to the castle to redecorate. I got my party canon ready for this. Look, it has a full party-mix inside, ready to launch. I even put some cake inside. Look at-" Twilight interrupted Pinkie's speech by gently pressing a hoof against her muzzle. Pinkie Pie made a "squee" sound and become silent... or at least wasn't that loud anymore "As I said, Pinkie" Twilight was really trying to not lose her patience "we will manage. We gotta go now. Time is of the essence" "Oki doki loki. See you in the castle. Bye Twilight! Bye Spike" said Pinkie Pie and bounced away. Twilight sighed slightly and smiled as she watched pink mare fading in a distance. Though Pinkie Pie could be annoying from time to time, her optimistic attitude and energy always made Twilight's heart a little warmer and she felt so much happier. Twilight and Spike finally got the Sugarcube Corner and bought some pastry supplies for the oncoming party. Just when they were about to start their way back to the castle, they heard a familiar, warm voice with characteristic southern accent. "Howdy Sugarcubes. Preparin' for an evening party?" asked Applejack. She was pulling a large cart completely filled with apples. " Hi AJ , what are you doing here ?" Spike waved to orange farm pony. "I am just deliverin' some apples for Cakes. I bet Pinkie will have a plenty of fun bakin' them" Applejack stopped and looked the pair with playful grin "I have gotta say, I' m pretty excited for our party. It is goin' to be nice and warm friends and family celebration, don't ya think?" " I feel very happy that we are throwing this party too" Twilight trotted in place " I know it is basically nothing special but... hey, I taught Applebloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo. I really think we should appreciate all the effort they put in to increase their personal growth" Applejack stared in space for a moment and then said slowly " Yeah, it is just what I had in mind. My sister is so happy that we are going' to celebrate." "Their achievements are pretty impressive for ponies that age" Twilight slowly added "especially during their recent invention, Camp Cutie Mark". After chatting for a while, Applejack left the apples meant for baking. Waving Twilight and Spike, she went back to Sweet Apple Acres. Twilight turned to Spike: "Come on Spike, now we head home. We have to make our castle worth a party! Hop on! We will fly back" Twilight unfolded her wings and looked at Spike, who just pulled out of nowhere familiar seatbelt. " Spike, you know that you don't need that anymore?" asked Twilight "Yeah, I always believe in your flying abilities... this is only... just in case" Spike smiled widely. He hopped on Twilight's back and they flew through the sky back to their castle. The day shines brightly upon us the smiles are like pure gold But behold the void of secrets that soon here will be told
