Anthony was standing outside Princess Luna's room, waiting patiently for his boss.
"Seargent Anthony, may I question why you have no smile or signs of happiness? Princess Luna is choosing a random guard to cuddle her tonight. You could be lucky today!" Said the guard right beside him.
"I had a bad day today. It happened earlier this morning..."
------------That Morning--------------
"Time to get my groceries. It's a pretty good day today!"
Locking his house, he got on his way. He passed a puddle, and a carriage splashed him with the puddle.
"Oh jeez, that's cold!" He yelled before drying his shirt with a sigh, and getting on his way.
Upon getting to the store, a stack of cereal boxes started to wobble.
"I hope nothing else goes wrong. I need some food."
With a loud CRASH, the cereal boxes fell... ...Right on top of Anthony.
"AHH-" Was all he could scream before all of them fell on him.
His head popped out of the pile, and soon everything else did too.
"Ouch, that hurt. Wonder if anything else is gonna go wrong?" He said sarcastically before the manager came to clean it up.
After buying what he needed, he checked what time it was.
"Hmm... OH NO I'M LATE FOR WORK!"
Anthony started dashing like mad to the castle, passing some conufused ponies.

After making it to the castle, the captain made him do 20 push-ups for being late.
After that, he started dashing to the barracks, hoping he was fast enough to get there before the guard got assigned positions.
"GOTTA GO FAST! GOTTA GO FAST!!" He screamed like a madman, leaving everypony he passed scared and confused.
Prince Blueblood was the unluckiest one, getting knocked clean out of their window screaming "OH DEAR CELESTIAAAA!!"
After lots of screaming GOTTA GO FAST's, and lots of mad dashing, Anthony had just made it to hear what he was assigned.
"...And Honor Guard Anthony is guarding Princess Luna, along with Captain Silver Spear. All prepare and head to the assigned postitons!"
After that, everypony saluted and walked off. Anthony got his armour and his spear and went to Princess Luna's room.
-------------- Present Time------------------
"... So that's what happened. It's a horrible day so far, so I don't think I will be chosen." Said Anthony.
"Fair point. If I had a day like that, I wouldn't think I would get chosen to win the lottery, or get a raise." Silver Spear said. "Princess Luna's coming! get to attention!"
"Greetings, Anthony. You too Silver. How are thy guards today?"
"I'd rather not talk about it. Not the best of days i've had." Anthony said, in an exasperated tone.
'Something's definitely wrong with Anthony. I shall cuddle him later! That shall lift thy dear guard's spirit!' Thought Princess Luna with a smile quickly spreading on her face.
"You should start heading to the Courtyard. I shall choose who I shall cuddle there."

At the Courtyard, Anthony was unaware that his luck and relationship with Princess Luna was going to change.
'So, who else is here? Looks like there's Seargent Grant, looking nice today, Silver Spear, Captain Diamond, and Honor Guard Paladin.'
"Everypony, I shall now decide who to cuddle tonight. The one I shall cuddle is..."
'Well, this is it. Looks like another night guarding her room...'
"...Seargent Anthony! Thank you kindly everypony else, and dismissed. Please get back to your positions, except for Seargent Anthony. Seargent Grant, you are guarding my chamber with Silver Spear."
Anthony couldn't believe what Princess Luna had just said. He, of all guards, was going to cuddle Princess Luna tonight! His luckiness had changed by tons, and he was now the luckiest guard in the castle!
His very very long train of thought had been derailed by Princess Luna speaking to him.
"Anthony, can I call you that?" She asked. He simply nodded. "All that aside, would you like to escort We to thy chambers?" Princess Luna asked.
"Yes, I would love to. Why did you choose me to cuddle, anyway? They were also good guards!" Asked Anthony, clearly confused about Princess Luna's decision.
"Two things, loyal protector. I shall explain thy reasoning later. For now, shall we head to my chambers, loyal protector?" Asked Princess Luna.
"Yes, we shall." Said Anthony with a genuine smile.

After making it to Princess Luna's room, Anthony opened the door for Princess Luna. Looking around, Anthony looked around and saw a computer with a ton of CD's and disks beside it. Beside it, was Princess Luna's bed had a regal roof and a blue blanket with a white star pattern. Her pillows looked fluffy and it also had a matching blue color with the same white star pattern.
On the wall there was a owl clock with two thingies on the bottom that look like a Grandfather clock's little bells. There was nothing else but three candles that were on a stand, illuminating the room.
"How does thy guard like thy chambers? We decorated thy chambers just for the occasion." Princess Luna said, breaking Anthony's inspection of Princess Luna's room.
"Yes, I like how you decorated your room, Princess Luna." Anthony responded.
"Please, you shall name me as Luna. Princess Luna is too formal." She said, sitting on the chair in front of her desktop computer.
"Before you cuddle me, We would like to play a bit. There's a game named Cuphead, and it is very hard. While We play, can you please hug me for comfort?" Luna asked, very cutely too. Anthony simply nodded in response, having seen ponies play it. All screamed, and threw their gaming device out their windows.
"Yay! Thank you, Anthony!" She said, with a cute smile plastered on her face, making Anthony grin as well.
"So, We defeated The Root Pack, a potato that spits out dirt and worms. After that, there's an onion that cries and it's teardrops hurt Us. Lastly, there's a psychic carrot that shoots beams and carrots that try to hit Us. We easily won." Luna finished. "Now, let us start explaining Ribby and Croaks..."

"...And We won the fight. It was tricky, but We won." Finally finishing her long explenation that would've taken me at least thirty minutes to finish. And we don't want that, do we? Anyway...
"Well, We shall start playing and conquer thy boss, Cagney Carnation!" Luna said, finishing. As she played, Anthony hugged her from behind and even started noticing the wicked weed's patterns.

A voice said, 'KNOCKOUT!' Signalling that Luna had conquered the foul flower, making her throw her hooves in the air.
"YES!" Luna yelled, making poor Anthony fall right off the chair. "AHH!" He quickly yelped before hitting the floor.
"Oh my goodness, are you alright? I'm sorry!" Luna said in concern. "Yes, I'm okay. A little bruised, but okay." Anthony said.
Luna teleported Anthony onto her bed, turned her computer off, and jumped onto Anthony and booped his nose. In turn, he ran his hand through her mane, suprising Luna. Seeing that, Anthony quickly straddled her in a hug. Luna though, broke free and got on top of Anthony.
Anthony caught her in a hug, and started booping Luna's muzzle, making her scrunch said muzzle. He booped her three more times, before slipping her hoof under Anthony and turning it around so she was under him. She then started nuzzling Anthony's neck, making him start laughing. "I-I'm ticklish there!" Anthony yelled in a good way.
Anthony was able to move his arm to pull Luna in to flip himself over and run his hand through her mane again. After Luna nuzzled his hand, they rested for a moment before Anthony spoke up.
"That was fun, Luna. I liked cuddling you tonight! Also, I almost forgot. Why did you choose me to cuddle with?" Asked Anthony.
"We heard you. The walls aren't too thick, Anthony. I heard what happened to you today, so We decided to cuddle you to lift thy spirits." She explained. "Yes, it was a bad day. But you did lift my spirits! Thank you, Luna. It was nice." Anthony responded. "Before we go to sleep, would you like to cuddle again next week?" Anthony asked.
"Yes. We shall, Anthony. Good night." "Good night, Luna." And off they went to sleep.
