My Little Pony: The Movie, How it Should Have Ended

by G33kySt3v3

Opening Tempest Scene

The weird creature had just delivered his brief message of his origin. Apparently he and the ponies on board had come on behalf of The Storm King, and the commander of their army was meant to appear and deliver a quote on quote, evil message. I had to roll my eyes in exasperation at this. Seriously? A super powerful villain had to pick today to invade Equestria? I really did not need this while I was trying to plan my Friendship Festival, it was already proving to be difficult enough already.

The Commander finally appeared out of the ship, said something threatening, I wasn't really paying attention, she looked more powerful than the guy whose poster they had just dropped, why was she taking orders from him? Though, I found it odd I had to do a double take to make that the villain I was facing was a unicorn, but it seemed that it was, she just had a broken horn, and scar across the right eye. She also seemed to be somehow taller than me. Come on alicornification! Can't you make me seem at least a little intimidating?

Celestia checked to make sure she heard the Commander's name right, apparently it was Tempest, I seriously wasn't listening there, didn't care enough. I just wanted her to attack us so that I could attack her and prove that she was horribly outmatched. The next part I was listening to, because she said this. "Here's the deal ladies, I need your magic. Now hand it over or we make things difficult, for everyone." Come on Tempest, can't you keep up with the whole hand/hoof horse pun thing? It's not that hard.

Luna decided to call her on her problem of there only being one of her and there being hundreds of ponies behind us. Now I was pretty sure Luna's argument was silly, more like nine of us, cause the only ponies here willing to fight, were my friends, Celestia, Cadance, herself, and I. everypony else was very likely to run and scream at the first hint of danger. Tempest said something again. Totally still not paying attention, can we move on already? I guess we can, whatever she said alerted two large figures behind her to step creepily out of the darkness. Suddenly, many other airships were flying through the air towards Canterlot, probably filled with the creatures that were behind Tempest now.

Looks like I was right, as soon as the figures stepped out of the shadows, all of the ponies behind us princesses, besides my friends, started running in random directions and screaming. Commander Tempest was charging at us, she threw some kind of orb in the air, I guess that now was a good time to act, cause that thing was filled with anti magic stuff. I teleported her away from the device before she could react, then teleported to the location I had selected, right next her. It was inside Canterlot Castle, where there would be no ponies. I decided that as a benevolent alicorn princess, as well as the princess of friendship, I would talk to her before I incapacitated her. "So, I wasn't really listening to the whole quote on quote evil message thing, but I'm pretty sure either you or your boss has no idea what you're getting into. So before I completely and totally incapacitate you, I'll give you a chance to call off the attack and accept the inevitability of friendship into your life."

Of course this didn't fly with her, she decided that she instead needed to try and attack me. She charged up her horn and aimed it at me, I disabled the magic, teleported behind her, and whacked her in the back of the head, and was holding her to the floor faster than she could think, where'd my magic go? "Alright evil Commander Tempest, I'm going to tell you something that you already knew. I'm the Princess of Friendship, now I don't know if you've heard, but friendship is magic. Do you know what that means?" It was kind of funny, in fact I almost chuckled at it, the way her eyes lit up in realization. "It seems you do, it means I'm also the Princess. Of. Magic. Which means unless you are a lot more skilled in magic than having a broken horn allows, you stood no chance from the moment you chose to be hostile with magic. I'm also an alicorn, which means I have so pretty intense Earth Pony bullshit going on inside my body, which means that your military strength training is also useless. Please tell me the part of this where this goes well for you."

"It seems I have sorely underestimated my opponent." she said, and wow, I hope Cadance put this pony in her shipping files already. 'Cause with that voice, I surprised even myself that I didn't screw her right there, seriously I should hint at that or something later, right now I was a little preoccupied. "Though, I think I am prepared to surrender, I never really liked The Storm King anyhow. I just follow his orders because he says that once I'm finished he'll restore my horn to how it was." Oh my Celestia, that voice! I should get an award for self control at this point, it didn't help that she's also a very beautiful mare.

"Oh, is that the only reason you're evil? No, probably not, looking at the scar on your face, it was probably formed at a young age, and if I had to guess, you lost your horn at the same time." Tempest was shocked, that was easy to tell, so all she did was nod in agreement. "Going off the information that I have, you probably had friends at some point, and the accident that caused you harm was somehow connected to them. When they stopped hanging out with you because you were a little crippled you decided that friendship is evil and that you should go it alone." It was obvious at this point that Tempest was baffled, how could the princess have know all that? "Wow, you'd think life would throw me some originality once in awhile. But nooo. It's either an evil from a 1000 years ago, or it's a unicorn that for some reason thinks friendship is a bad thing. First Trixie, who let me tell you was a unicorn I met a couple of weeks after I made my first friends. She got her ass handed to her by me when I proved that unlike her, I could take an Ursa Minor." Tempest's mood seemed to sour at that point, her horn even sparking in agitation. "Oh, I see, that's how you lost your horn, an Ursa Minor, I don't blame you, those things are tough, probably would've been in a situation similar to yours if I was a filly. But anyway, we're getting off topic. Trixie comes two years later with an amulet she thinks will prove she's stronger than me. Can you guess what happens?"

"She get's proved wrong again by the power of friendship?"

"She get's proved wrong by the power of friendship! Not even a month later Celestia give me these stupid things and says, You're a princess now, have fun! Well... Not exactly that, but close. Soon after that she sends me through a stupid dimensional mirror to chase after some other unicorn named Sunset, in the form of something that seemed kind of like a hairless chimpanzee. Soon, she is also proven that the magic of friendship is actually a force that can not be beaten, even when you're a raging she-demon. Her words not mine. Couple years later I run into another unicorn! This one is named Starlight and has created a town of cultists who all have the same cutie mark and act the same. After defeating her she vows revenge and runs away, months later she comes back and throws me in a weird time loop, soon she is also proven that friendship is the only way of life where I don't kick your ass. These unicorn, are all very similar to you, but guess what I did with all of them?"

"Sent them to prison for their crimes against Equestria?"

I smiled gently, "No, that would have been rude, they were just misguided, and everypony knows that if you put your villain in jail, they'll just break out and plot revenge. So instead, I befriended all of them, and forgave them of the things they did. Starlight even became my student, though I guess she graduated after proving herself more powerful against my only original villain's revenge plot. Seriously if I considered The Storm King to be one of my villains, he'd be the second villain I've faced, in my long line of villains, with an original origin. So, how would you like to be friends? I'm sure Starlight would love to have you around."

"You know princess, after careful consideration, I'm pretty sure choosing to be your enemy only ends up bad for me. I'm sure I'll even grow to like being your friend."

Now that did get me to laugh. "Good, because I'm sure my other friends have already defeated all those large creatures you brought with you. And you get to help me clean up the mess that they inevitably made, I do need to be ready for the Friendship Festival tonight still!" Tempest's eyes widened, and then she realized she had made a larger mistake than attacking the Equestrian capital all on her own.
