Tempest's New Life

by Omegawolfben

Life Changing Lesson

It was now the next day as Celestia’s sun shone brightly over the whole of Equestria. Tempest was busy working out in her back garden before heading over to Twilight's castle. She still couldn't get the thoughts of Twilight out of her head. Did she fancy Twilight? Or was it just because she was her first real friend?

She walked into her house, sweating from the work out. She looked out the window and saw Derpy flying away from her house in a mail ponies’ uniform, making her think to herself. Maybe I got post or something. I better check it out before heading down to Twilight’s for my spell lessons.

Tempest walked out of her house, seeing many ponies about, but many didn't even notice her as she checked her letterbox. She saw a letter, making her pull it out and walk back towards her home, over to a table to read the letter which was from Princess Luna of all ponies.

Dear, Tempest Shadow

Our friend Twilight Sparkle has sent me a letter telling me that you two are going to try and find a way for your horn to do more advanced spells again. She has also told me about the conversation you both had yesterday. I agree with her, take it from a pony with past experiences of being evil, don't let it tear you apart, Tempest. It won't help at all, let your friends support you, like Twilight and her friends did me. She is the Princess of Friendship after all. hope to get a letter from you soon!

P.S. If you have feelings for my sister’s student, make a move or she will never know. Then you will always regret what could have been.

Luna, Princess of the Night

Tempest gave the letter a few reads over and gulped about the P.S. part. It made her think to herself more about her feelings towards the Princess, and if she really wanted to see if she felt the same way as her. "I don't want to hurt what I have with my first true friend, but I don't think I can just stand there and watch her from the side lines. I can't stop thinking of her, and if she was in danger I would want to do what she did for me in Canterlot."

Tempest stomped her foot on the floor and looked up confidently. She then looked over to her armour. Putting it on as she smiled, checking that it looked clean, she headed to the door, her horn sparking as she looked at it.

"Here we go, time to get to Twilight’s. I don't want to be late for my first lesson, and if I get there early I may be able to discuss these feelings with her. As well as find out what Celestia said about this Ponyville security thing." Tempest said quietly to herself. Looking up, seeing one or two ponies look her way. It caused her to look up and act like a commander should as she headed towards Ponyville Town Centre. Though, as she walked past the ponies looking at her, her cheeks got hot in embarrassment before heading to the castle.

At the castle Twilight and Starlight were busy researching some spell books to prepare for Tempest when she showed up. As Twilight browsed through many books, most of them being put to one side since they weren't the ones she needed. Starlight took a more casual approach to find the right books they would need. "So Twilight why are you really doing these lessons with Tempest?" Starlight questioned, looking over as Spike looked up from his comic. He too looked at Twilight. Twilight laughed fakely as she looked at the two.

"Ha ha, just being a friend to her since she hasn't had a true friend her whole life! I hope it will help boost her confidence a bit if she can do a few spells. I also think it would be nice to tell her what Celestia said about her idea yesterday." Twilight said, trying her best not to blush or let on she actually wanted to spend more time with Tempest. Spike decided now to butt in on their conversation.

"Oh yeah, an ex-villain who attacked Equestria, taking over security in Ponyville! That can only go so well." Spike said sarcastically, making both mares stare at him angrily.

"Spike that's not fair. You gave me a chance didn't you?" Starlight said, walking over to him. Spike nodded while he rubbed his chin.

"Yes, but I was with Twilight when she reformed you. For all I know Tempest could have done some weird voodoo magic on Twilight and caused her to trust Tempest or something..." Spike responded, trying his best not to sound rude or harsh as the three heard the door open. Tempest walked in and looked over to Spike.

"Trust me Spike, with this broken horn I can barely do any magic. Besides, I know nothing of this voodoo magic. I'm not a zebra like Zecora or anything. I also know you don't trust me, but I am trying to make up for my past mistakes." Tempest said calmly. Twilight smiled over to her and gave her a nod as Spike also nodded at Tempest. He got up from his chair and walked towards the door. When Spike was out the door Starlight walked up to Tempest.

"I'll talk to him Tempest. I wouldn’t worry too much, he was the same with me when he found out I was moving in." Starlight smirked as Tempest gave her a hug. Tempest nodded and watched her leave the room, giving her the perfect opportunity to talk to Twilight about her feelings for her. She approached Twilight, who was picking up a few books while walking around to her.

"Sorry about that Tempest, Spike can be difficult sometimes, but he grows on you. I found these books which I think may be able to help us find some spells you can do with your broken horn." Twilight said in an almost teacher like voice. Tempest softly put the books on the table and walked up to Twilight, making the alicorn look up at her.
"Twilight, I got to talk to you about something." Tempest said in a commanding tone, but with a friendly accent as well. Twilight smiled at her, and walked over to her chair at the map room. Tempest sat in one of the chairs next to her.
"Of course, is it about the security position, because Celestia said..." Before Twilight could go into a rant about what Celestia had told her about Tempest becoming the commander of Ponyville’s guard, she was kissed by Tempest. Twilight's eyes went wide, feeling how much love, and passion she was putting into this kiss. She also saw Tempest’s horn sparking with a more pink tone as Twilight's mind went into a frenzy.

Oh my gosh, Oh my gosh, she's kissing me! It feels so good! I-I want this, I want this to not stop. Twilight thought as Tempest pulled back from the kiss. Then Twilight leaned in and kissed the taller mare back, the two putting all their passion and love into this one kiss. They didn’t pull back for at least a minute.

"Celestia, Twilight, I..." Tempest couldn't finish as Twilight kissed the mare once more. Tempest just smiled into the kiss. Twilight again holding to her until they finally pulled away to talk to one another.

"Of course, I feel the same as you Tempest. Ever since you turned good and we spent all this time together. You’ve grown on me so much, and made me fall for you, but I have been too..." Once again, Twilight was interrupted as Tempest nuzzled Twilight’s neck as she was talking to her about how she made her feel. "But I have been too scared to mention it until now." Twilight finished. Then she simply nuzzled Tempest’s horn which would normally cause a spark from someone touching it. But, for some reason it did not when Twilight nuzzled it. This made Tempest smile as she pulled back to look at her before her horn sparked.

"Looks like my horn likes you too Twilight, or it would have sparked." Tempest smiled as the two looked away from each other. Rubbing their hooves shyly, neither of them knowing what to say or do next. "Do you want to go.."
"Yes." Before Tempest could offer anything, Twilight immediately said yes as the two hugged. Twilight then motioned for her to follow as she took the books in her magic, and headed towards her bedroom with Tempest behind her. "Since we both know how we feel, and where we stand now. I thought this may make the lesson more comfortable for us both." Twilight said, her ears laying flat, making her look cute to Tempest. Tempest simply kissed her horn and laid beside Twilight to start reading the books with her, and try some new spells with her. Then she remembered Twilight was talking about the security idea she had yesterday, and looked towards Twilight.

"Hey Twilight, you were going to tell me what Celestia said about my idea before we... Um... Got distracted." Tempest said, rubbing her hoof as Twilight held her hoof smiling.

"Before we kissed you mean? She said yes, but you’ll need to go to Canterlot and make it official. Maybe even be trained by my brother, who's the captain of the Royal Guard." Twilight said, making Tempest laugh slightly at what Twilight just said about her brother.

"Your brother is, oh boy, um... I bet he's mad I attacked his wife isn't he?" Tempest said giggling slightly as Twilight locked muzzles with Tempest again, wrapping their tails together as she did so.

"Oh, you have no idea how bad he will make training for you Tempest. He is going to destroy you."

"Well, I'm a commander, I have probably done worse in the Storm King’s training. I’ll bet your brothers training will be easy as pie."
