//------------------------------// // Chapter 5 & 6 // Story: A Day To Remember! // by Carmack21 //------------------------------// A day to remember part 5 By Carmack21 Just the idea that the two friends shared an intimate relationship made Twilight and Rainbow snicker, and made the both ponies feel rebellious. It wasn't wrong to be affectionate towards your own sex, it was just not seen as much, and Twilight never felt this way before, mostly due to her never reaching from behind the pages of her book to feel such an intense feeling. She felt as though she could float away in the arms of her friend Rainbow, watching her rainbow mane flow in the crisp warm summer night wind. Every flap of her wings matching the smooth rhythm of their two hearts beating. The moons rays dancing off the cyan colored coat, her beautiful rose eyes staring into hers. Just the thought made Twilight giggle even more. The only regret she had was her magic wings had shrunken down into her back. And she couldn't use her magic to make another set for a day or two, since it took so much concentration. "Twilight, when you gonna make another set of those lovely lavender wings?" Rainbow asked her companion. "I've already told you I can't for a while, I need to rest my magic, it drains me of my energy." Twilight informed her friend, "Plus, it's sexy how you keep begging me." she added slyly. Rainbow's face turned the same color as her friend Pinkie Pie’s coat. Twilight took advantage of this chance; she leaned in close to Rainbow and kissed her upon her soft cyan lips. Rainbow was caught off guard, she started losing altitude, being locked in such a momentous moment it was hard to pull away, and it was also hard to multi-task. Twilight pulled away to acknowledge the sudden drop in altitude, "Hey featherbrain, I know you like this but I’d rather not be a purple pancake." Twilight joked. "Egghead you better hang on then!" Rainbow screeched as she head straight down, gaining speed as every second flew by, waiting till the last second to pull up, avoiding the ground by mere inches, "Ha ha, lets do it again!" Twilight, gripping on for dear life and wide eyed at the experience of what just happened, could only utter a weak “Ugh” in reply. Rainbow looked down at her friend to see she wore the same look she had when she did that same aerobatic trick the first time: wide eyed, mouth open, your mind racing to tell you to never do that again, but your heart saying the complete opposite. Yup, there's still a chance that Twilight had a little Pegasus in her yet. "You ok?" Dash asked. "If you mean that I'm still alive, then yes, but please don't do that again. I think I almost lost my lunch." Twilight assured Dash. "Well were almost there, so hang on tight!" Rainbow said as she looked up to see Canterlot only a mile or two in the distance, and having a notion to make the trip as exciting as possible, she performed trick after trick as their destination grew ever closer. Twilight acknowledged that her fun with Dash would have to end; it was time to be serious, or at least try to fake being serious. ---------------------------------------- A day to remember part 6 By Carmack21, and help from my encouraging fans. Special shout out to Mabbz for proof read copies which will be posted as soon as I get a chance :) Thanks Carmack21 – Mabbz “Twilight Sparkle my most faithful student.” Princess Celestia announced as Twilight bowed to her mentor. Rainbow was a tad embarrassed, but she wore a face of pure enjoyment and bowed as she too met the princess' gaze. It seemed easier to stare into Princess Celestia’s eyes, Rainbow thought, rather than staring into the eyes of Princess Luna. "And your friend Rainbow Dash, the daredevil, but who is graceful and gentle on the inside." The Princess inquired, snapping Rainbow back to reality. "I'm not gentle, but I sure as hay am a daredevil!" Rainbow added with a snicker a smile of pure enjoyment at being recognized by royalty. "Twilight I'm sorry but the dinner isn't going to be tonight. I've tried to send another message to Spike, but all that kept appearing in return were gems. But on the other hoof I have arranged your old study to accommodate you and your friend." Princess Celestia said in a modest tone. "Thank you Princess!" Twilight burst out in enjoyment. A slumber party in her old bedroom! "Rainbow Dash, I have some special news for you as well. The Wonderbolts are accompanying us for dinner, and I mentioned that you’re a huge fan. They decided to sign this for you." Princess Celestia handed Rainbow a small rectangular box. Rainbow didn’t know what was in it, but anything from the Wonderbolts would make her giddy. She reached for the box, using caution so as to not rattle the box and disturb its contents, and slowly opened it. Her rose colored eyes lit with joy, because what she held in her hoofs next was a signed, XL T-shirt from the Wonderbolts, with a picture of all three of her hero's flying in formation. Her mouth gaped, of course it was too big, but it was now one of her three most prized possession. "THANK YOU!!!!!!!" Rainbow exploded in enjoyment as she jumped up and down repeating the words too the princess. "Now then Twilight, I have business to attend to, I shall be seeing you in the morning, good night." Princess Celestia smiled as she turned and trotted off. As soon as Celestia left Rainbow still full of glee at her new gift, she had to remember she wasn't the only Pegasus - or the only pony for that matter - who needed their sleep. Tomorrow’s going to be a big day, but tonight that still had a couple of hours left. ---------------------------------------- As Twilight lay in her old cushiony bed she thought of the past events up till now. She only wished today lasted longer, but a faint light from the bathroom door appeared on her face. Rainbow walked out wearing her new found glory, and her hair messier then ever before, walked towards Twilight. "Hey Egghead, what's lavender and clucks like a chicken?" Rainbow asked Twilight as she stood at the foot of her bed. "I don't know, a lavender chicken?" Twilight answered back. "Wrong, You!" she yelled as she jumped high in the air and landed next to her friend, bouncing her twenty feet in the air clucking like a chicken.
