Not mine, I only own very little. Like Jake and the story itself. After the meal a trio of ponies ran into the room, they quickly lifted the plates away while another walked up to Jake. To say he looked nervous was an understatement, the small earth pony was a dark grey with a light white mane. “We have cleaned your room s-sir...sorry for the mess that kept you from it earlier...” He said shaking like a fall leaf in the breeze. “It’s...um...fine, don’t worry about.” Jake said looking kind of sheepish at the seeming fear of the pony. “So...why don’t you show me there? I kinda have no idea how to get back there...” He gave a kind smile, but to the pony it looked like he was showing off his large and sharper teeth. The pony nodded forcing a smile looking away as he started to walk quickly away having Jake follow him easily until after a few minutes of walking the near empty halls, except for the flight of a few pegasus in the air to take things from one place to another. Soon the pony showed him the now very well lit and cleaned stairway. “H-here we are sir. W-we had to remove the mattress for cleaning and it we will have it back soon...we've set up a hammock in its place...” He said as Jake started to walk up. “I hope that is alright with you sir.” Jake looked back already walking up and said “It’s fine...don’t worry about it. Just go on and relax or something. I’ll just go up to check it out.” He climbed the steps toward the top of the tower hearing the hooves hit the stone running away from the steps. If he had to guess the pony had bolted after he dismissed him. As he walked up the long steps he saw a wooden door and pulled on the ring that served as its handle. He saw inside it was illuminated by a few hanging lights, the lights were on and let him see the old furniture like the old style chair looking like it had come out of the victorian era. Jake noticed that most of the furniture had an old style to it and he could pick out little bits of what was the oldest and what was more new. He saw that there was another spiral staircase going up to a small overhang which he quickly walked up and was met with a medium sized room, compared to the near living room size of the other room, with a few chairs, a bookcase filled with what looked like musty old novels and a large hammock. ‘This must be the bedroom.’ Jake thought smiling and going over to sit on one of the chairs near the bookcase, taking one at random off of it. When he opened it, the words and strange letters meant nothing to him. It was like trying to read hieroglyphics without anything to use as reference. He put the book back and sunk into his chair, sighing as he did so. He glanced to his left and saw glass door leading out to a balcony overlooking the castle and the city nearby. He got up and walked out onto the balcony, staring at the sight of all the flying ponies, the large buildings, and even at the hedge maze he could see in what looked like the royal garden. He stared for a bit before he saw the moon start climbing into the sky, the stars soon followed. He stared at the stars and couldn’t even find a single one he recognized or a single constellation. He thought he’d be able to tell where he was, but it seemed he wasn’t even on some form of Earth. He stared off into the sky, until a very loud thumping sound jarred him out of his thoughts. He looked up to see that a light grey pony had flown and hit the wall above him. It was now slowly sliding down the wall and finally fell with a thud onto the balcony in front of him, the pegasus stumbled a bit, with messy blonde hair and wall eyes. “Hehe...stars....” The pony said with a giggle and swaying a bit with her clearly female voice. She was wearing a bag on her side with a letter on the side. She looked up and toward Jake with a slightly dopey smile. “Delivery!” She reached into the mailbag and pulled out a small nice looking letter and held it out for Jake to take. He blinked and carefully took the letter, making sure not to pull on it before the pegasus had let go of it and then looked it over. The address of the sender was smudged, it looked like someone did that part with a very bad ink stamp, and it coming directly to him was the only part of it that showed it was meant for him. As he broke the seal the small grey pony sat there trying to catch the stars flying around her head. He looked at the letter and saw it was flying now and slowly formed a mouth floating in front of him, he simply stared as it started to speak. “I am pleased to inform you Lord Jake that you have been invited to a welcoming party to be thrown in your honor in one weeks time. Please dress Casual Formal for the occasion. Signed, The Royal Party Planner Celly Bration” He stared at it as it then started to rip itself apart in front of him. He looked toward the grey pony who had then started to fly away swerving here and there to avoid any clouds or birds giggling about something or another. He walked back in and sighed and laid on the hammock. “Might as well worry about it in the morning...God it’s nice to go to sleep by my own power and not a knock on the head...” He said to himself as he put his head on the pillow and quickly fell asleep. After a long while it seemed a loud banging woke him from his sleep making him jump and yelp in surprise, being in a swinging hammock made this a dangerous combination and he fell to the floor with a loud thud. He groaned as he saw the door opening in the lower level and saw a small blue head of unicorn looking around and said “S-sir...I’m sorry to wake you, but it’s time for breakfast.” “Fine fine...I’ll be down the stairs in a sec...Just let me get my back popped back into place...” He called to the servant as he got up. He stood up and pushed himself up and glanced at his body seeing it was almost zig zagged in style and he pushed each bend until a crack sounded from each letting his relax and go limp. He heard the door close and stepped down the small staircase toward the door. Suddenly he remembered something, the odd purple snake in the river when he first arrived asked him to thank someone, but who? He gripped his chin and started to mutter and snap his other hand muttering, “What was it...Elusive? No...” three snaps sounded while he thought, unknowingly changing the color of the fire on the candles in the stairway. He kept walking down while he thought and finally with a loud snap, which had changed the painting of a pony dressed like Napoleon into a pony who looked more like Marilyn Monroe, “Rarity! That was it...” He blinked looking at the painting at the wall, “Did...That painting change...” He looked at the candles now spotting a rainbow of colors and leaned against the wall and said, “I wonder...” He looked at his hand, or was it a paw now, if that snapping his fingers had caused it. “One way to find out...” He snapped his fingers not really focusing on anything, making the magic random and transformed the wall behind him. It had changed all the dirt and dust into rather...slick soap. He gave a yelp as he fell toward the stairs in front of him “Not again!” He shouted as his head hit the stairs and slowly made him slide down the stairs bumping his chin on every step before coming to a stop after flipping onto his back when he reached the bottom step and groaned while the servant pony came up above him and looked down at him worried. “Are you ok Sir?” He asked in a worried tone. Jake had his eyes closed and said in a rather quiet voice, “Yes...fine...ice pack...please...And maybe someone to help me straighten out my neck...” He opened his eyes and noticed, that while his front was facing up, his head seemed to be facing backwards, “make that someone to turn my head the right way...” He groaned then passed out from a mix of the shock of what had just happened, and the pain in his neck.
