//------------------------------// // Kissing sensation // Story: All Around Love // by Leviathan Jaeger //------------------------------// It was Friday afternoon, and Rainbow Dash was helping Fluttershy feed her animals. With another movie night coming up, Rainbow decided to spend the day with her secret girlfriend. The two had been secretly dating for around two months, and Rainbow was wanting it to not be a secret anymore. She didn't like having to hide her true feelings for Flutters when everyone was around. "Hey Flutters?" Rainbow asked her. "Yes Dashie?" Fluttershy replied while she feed her bird. "When are we going to tell the others about, us?" Fluttershy sighed and turned to Rainbow. "I want to tell them just as much as you, but I don't know how they'll respond. I don't want them to be against this. I'm sure they wouldn't, but I can't help but feel like a problem would arise." "Alright Flutters, we'll keep waiting. But eventually we have to tell them, or else they'll find out on their own, and who knows how that would turn out." Fluttershy nodded to her and returned to feeding the bird. It was true that she didn't like keeping a secret either, but the uncertainty of what their friends would say or do was to much for her. She was just waiting for the right opportunity to come out and announce it. A few hours later and further down town, Sweetie Bell was helping Rarity make cookies. Rarity wanted to surprise her friends at the movie night with a new recipe her mother had sent to her, and also to share with her little sister. As they watched the oven Sweetie turned to her older sister. "Have you noticed how much Applejack likes to spend time with you?" "Of course I have darling, she is my closest friend after all," Rarity replied to her. "Yeah, but don't you think it's a bit odd that she chooses you to do almost everything with." "We get along well, not that I don't get along with everyone else, it's just that we enjoy doing some things together more than we would with anyone else," Rarity told her. "And you don't think there's any other reason why she wants to do more things with you?" Sweetie asked her. "What other reason could there be." "I don't know, maybe it's because you make her happy," Sweetie said, leaning towards her sister. "All of us make each other happy Sweetie," Rarity said with a smile. "Maybe it's because she loves you." "Of course she does, Applejack loves all of us," Rarity said as the oven beeped. As she went to pull out the cookies Sweetie Bell face palmed at her response. "You are so blind," she said to herself. "Did you say something?" Rarity turned her head to ask. "No, nothing," Sweetie replied. "Ok then," Rarity said as she pulled out the cookies and laid them on the kitchen counter. "You may have a few of them Sweetie, the rest go to the party. But be careful, cause they are hot." Sweetie Bell grabbed a cookie and shook her head as her sister walked away. The day continued onward and it was time for Applejack to go and pick up Rarity. As she made her way towards the door she passed Applebloom and Big Mac in the kitchen. "Going to pick up Rarity?" Applebloom asked. "Yep, it's my turn tonight to drive," Applejack said with a smile. "Your always so happy to see her, aren't you?" "Well of course I am, she's my best friend," "But I bet ya wish she was more than that," Applebloom said with a sly grin. Applejack blushed slightly and headed for the door. "Now don't ya be silly," she said as she walked out. Applebloom turned to her older brother. "She totally likes Rarity." "Eyeup," he responded with a smile. That evening everyone was at the Dazzling's house except Sunset. Adagio looked at her phone to check the time. Sunset had never been late before, so Adagio started to worry a little. Eventually a knock came from the door, and Adagio hurried to open it. Standing on the other side was Sunset, a very tired looking Sunset. "*yawn* Hey Adagio" "Hey Sunset, you look really tired," Adagio told her as Sunset walked in. "I haven't had much sleep recently, been to busy doing work around the house and for school." "You probably should've stayed home Sunset, you really look like you need sleep," Adagio told her worryingly. "No I can take it, besides, who else would *yawn* sit with you in the recliner. You might of gotten lonely," Sunset joked with her. "Ok, if you say so," Adagio told her as they walked into the living room and took their seat. "Wow Sunset, you look super duper tired," Pinkie said from her spot on the floor. "I'm just a little tired." "Want some sugar!" Pinkie said, holding up five candy bars. "No thanks Pinkie," Sunset responded to her, laughing tiredly. "Ok, suit yourself." Pinkie told her. Sonata put the movie in and sat back down. It was a drama movie, so it was slightly boring at times. While it played, Sunset tried her best to stay awake. She would occasionally drift off only to be awoken by someone commenting on the film, usually Rarity. But eventually sleep triumphed and she was completely out of it. Her body rocked a little until she finally fell over, right into Adagio's lap. Adagio didn't know what to do with the sleeping Sunset on her legs, so she left her to snooze. Adagio didn't really mind, but she did blush some when Sunset put her arms around one of Adagio's legs. The rest of the group were oblivious to the sleeping girl and her confused friend. As time went on the movie ended and the group started chatting. "Can you believe that guy would choose that women over the other one," Rarity said with her arms crossed. "She was wealthier than the first one," Rainbow Dash replied to her. "But still, she was her childhood friend and best choice, but he still went for the rich women, even though they had nothing in common." "It was stupid, right Aria?" Sonata said. "I stopped caring about this movie after five minutes," she responded. "Of course you did. What do you think Adagio?" Sonata asked. She turned to face her leader, but started giggling when she saw what had happened. She elbowed Aria and pointed towards the recliner. Aria turned and also began to giggle. The rest of the girls became confused when they heard Aria giggling. "What are you two giggling at?" Applejack asked. Aria pointed towards the sleeping pony turned human and her siren pillow. The rest of the girls started giggling too. "It's not that funny," Adagio stated as she crossed her arms. "Hey Sunset! You comfortable?" Rainbow shouted from across the room. Sunset began to wake up. She opened her eyes just enough to peer at Rainbow sitting at the other side of the room. She also noticed that the other girls were giggling at her. "What did you say Rainbow?" she asked just loudly enough for Rainbow to hear. "I asked if you were comfortable," Rainbow replied smirking. Sunset closed her eyes again. "Yeah, why?" she asked, starting to fall back asleep. "So you like your pillow?" Sonata asked giggling. Sunset got confused on what she meant. She opened her eyes slightly and looked down at what she was sleeping on. She looked at the purple color and the two limbs they covered. She thought nothing of it and closed her eyes again, but they shot back open when she realized what her purple pillow really was. Her body jerked back up into the sitting position. This made everyone start to laugh, including Adagio. Sunset tried to hide her face as she blushed deep red. "Sorry about that," she said to Adagio. "It's alright, I didn't mind. I hope I was comfortable," Adagio said as she leaned forward and smirked. After the laughter died down each person got ready to leave. They all started to make their ways towards the door, but Sunset was stopped by Adagio. "You are not driving home tonight." "What?" Sunset tiredly asked. "I'm not about to let you drive in your condition." "Adagio, I'm fine I can *yawn* make it home," Sunset told her. "I don't want you to take the risk of falling asleep at the wheel, which is why you'll stay here tonight," Adagio said to her. "Alright Adagio, if you say so." "Sonata!" Adagio called into the house. The blue siren was quickly by her side ready to listen. "Sunset needs to borrow some of your pajamas, she'll be staying here tonight." Sonata quickly dashed off to her room, not long after she returned with a pair of her pajamas. Sunset went into the bathroom and changed, when she came out she made her way to the couch. "Where are you going?" Adagio asked her. "The couch," Sunset replied. "Oh your not sleeping on that old thing, you need a good nights rest. You'll be sharing my bed," Adagio told her as she lead her sleepy friend upstairs. "Why?" "Because my bed is the most comfortable one in the house, besides, you can share a bed with me since you already took a nap on me," Adagio said to her. "Do you have to phrase it like that," Sunset said. Adagio merely laughed and opened her bedroom door. Once inside she went to her bathroom to change. Sunset made her way over to Adagio's bed. She climbed into the far side and laid down. She couldn't help but smile when she felt how comfortable it was. "You were right, your bed is really comfortable," Sunset said to Adagio as she walked out her bathroom. "Only the best," was Adagio's only response. She turned off the light and climbed into the other side of the bed. "Wanna cuddle?" she asked. She felt the bed move as Sunset turned to look at her, but before she could say anything Adagio laughed and said "I'm just kidding, goodnight Sunset." Adagio closed her eyes to go to sleep, but she opened them back up when she felt Sunset cuddle up to her. "What, you asked," Sunset said to her with a smirk that Adagio could see in the darkness. Adagio smirked back. She put her arms around Sunset and pulled her close. She felt Sunset nuzzle her head under Adagio's chin. "Goodnight Sunset." "Goodnight Adagio." They both fell asleep in each others arms. Morning came and Adagio slowly woke up. She began to move but found that she couldn't all to well. She confusingly looked down and saw Sunset still cuddling her. Adagio smiled and carefully moved her arms and Sunset's arms so she could get out of bed. Once free of the cuddling Sunset she went to brush her teeth then go downstairs. When she made her way into the kitchen she expected to see Sonata, since she was always the first one up, but this time it was Aria. "Morning," Aria said to her. "Why are you awake?" Adagio asked her. "Sonata woke me up to play in the snow, but I wanted to have breakfast first," Aria responded to her. Adagio nodded her head and walked over to the coffee maker. She brewed a cup and drank it to wake herself up, she also looked out the window and noticed Sonata running around in the snow. Aria walked over to the machine and filled her mug back up. "So how was cuddling with Sunset last night?" Adagio shot her look. "How do you know about that?" "After she woke me up Sonata went to your room to wake you up. As she opened the door she remembered Sunset was here and was about to close it, but she saw you two cuddling, and she showed me, and I took a photo of it," Aria told her, showing her the pic on her phone. "You two look so comfortable sleeping together." "Just like you and Sonata were on Halloween night," Adagio said smirking. Aria almost dropped her cup from her response. "How do you know about that!" Adagio's response was her pulling out her phone and showing a pic of Aria and Sonata cuddling in bed. "I guess we're even." "Yep, I caught you two the next day when I saw that Sonata wasn't up or in her bed." Adagio said. Aria was about to explain when Sonata busted in from outside. "Come on Ari, let's go build a snow man!" Sonata said joyfully. Aria rolled her eyes. "Fine, let me go change into something warmer though." Sonata dashed back outside and Aria made her way to her room. On the stairs she passed Sunset. The two said good morning and went on their ways. "Good morning Sunset," Adagio said as Sunset entered the kitchen. "Want some coffee?" "Good morning, and yes please," Sunset replied. Adagio poured her a cup and gave it to her. "Thank you." "Your welcome," Adagio said with a smile. She looked back out the window and watched Sonata start to make the base of a snowman. Sunset walked over and joined her at the window. "She's really enjoying the snow, isn't she?" "She always does, and she acts just like a kid when it happens too." Adagio told her. They both looked over and saw Aria walk out and over to Sonata. She sat down next to her and started to help her pat down the snow. "Those two somehow get along so well, despite the fact they annoy each other as well," Sunset said observantly. "They've definitely grown on each other over the years, especially this last year. I don't think Aria would ever admit it to anyone, but Sonata is definitely her best friend," said Adagio. Sunset watched the two mess with the snow. She watched Sonata happily ball it up and throw it at Aria. Aria laughed and threw some back at her. The two then continued to work on the snowman. "I don't think I've ever seen Aria as happy as when it's just them two." "They're both made for each other, friends to the end," Adagio said as she poured another cup of coffee. As the day went on, Sonata and Aria mostly spent the day outside, while Sunset and Adagio spent their day inside. It was getting later in the day when Sunset got a idea. "Wanna go for a walk through the park?" Sunset asked. "Hmm...sure, why not," Adagio responded to her. The two changed and Adagio walked outside to the other two sirens. "Sunset and I are going for a walk, don't kill each other while we're gone." "Whatever Adagio," Aria said to her. Sunset and Adagio made their way out of the house and towards the park. They talked about different things as they walked, commenting on different park sites. About halfway through the park they stopped to sit on a bench. Since it was cold out no one else was in the park, leaving the two to be alone. The snow glistened from the sun setting over the park. Adagio looked over at Sunset, who was looking over the snow covered ground. She saw how the glistening snow reflected in her eyes, her beautiful eyes. Adagio shifted in her seat and spoke up. "Sunset, there's something I want to tell you." Sunset turned to the siren. "What is it?" she asked kindly. "I...want to thank you for helping the three of us. I know we weren't very grateful at first, but we owe you and your friends a lot for what you've done for us." Sunset put her hand on top of Adagios. "Your welcome Adagio, I'm happy I could help you, Sonata, and Aria. Everyone should be given a second chance. I was given one, and the three of you needed to be given one too. I know things were hard at the beginning, but now we're friends, and your my best friend Adagio, I would do anything for you." "You mean it?" Adagio asked. "Of course, I care about you Adagio, I wouldn't want anything to happen to you." "I care about you too Sunset. I care about you a lot, and...I think I've started to care about you as more than a friend..." Sunset started to blush as she went wide eyed. "W-What?" "What I want to say is...I...love you Sunset." Sunset sat there for a couple seconds speechless. When she collected her thoughts, she squeezed Adagio's hand and replied. "Adagio...I love you too." Happiness spread across Adagio's face. "You do?" "Yes, I do love you. Your my best friend, but I want us to be more than friends," Sunset told her. Adagio couldn't contain her excitement. She leaned forward and kissed Sunset. Sunset was initially taken back by the sudden move, but she quickly found herself kissing her back. The two kissed for a little bit before pulling away. They caught a breath and moved closer to each and began to kiss again, but more passionately. Sunset wrapped her arms around Adagio's neck as Adagio wrapped her arms around Sunset's back. Sunset opened her mouth just wide enough for Adagio to slip her tongue in. The two moaned softly as there tongues slid against each other. After a few minutes of passionate kissing they stopped and looked at each other. "Adagio," Sunset said. "Yes Sunset?" "I've finally found the right person," she said before giving Adagio a sweet kiss. "I love you." "I love you too," Adagio responded. The two sat there, with Adagio having her arm around Sunset, bringing her close. After about fifteen minutes of them enjoying each others company they noticed it was getting dark. "Time to head back," Adagio said. "Yeah," Sunset replied to her. The two got up and started walking home, with their hands intertwined. "I wonder how everyone else will react to this?" "Who knows. But no matter what people say, I will still love you Sunny," she said with a loving smile. Sunset smiled back and moved closer to her. "When should we tell the others?" "How about we have everyone come over tomorrow, then we'll announce it, how does that sound?" "Alright, if it works for you, it works for me." They eventually made it back to the house, and Sunset noticed the other two sirens were sitting in the living room. "Should we tell them know or tomorrow?" Sunset asked. "I guess we could do it now," Adagio told her. They both walked into the living room to see the other two resting from a long day of playing in the snow. "Girls, we both have something to tell you two." Both Sonata and Aria turned to look at the new couple. "What we want to say is, Adagio and I are now dating," Sunset told them. Both of the other sirens sat there stunned for a few seconds, before Sonata shot up out of her seat and hugged Sunset. " Oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh, I'm so happy for you two!!" Sonata said excitingly. As Sonata was giving Sunset her own hug, Aria walked up to Adagio and smirked and said, "It's about time." Adagio smirked back as Aria gave her a hug. After Sonata was finished giving Sunset a hug she moved over to Adagio. "I can't believe you two are in love, it's so exciting!!" Adagio merely smiled and returned the hug. Aria moved over to Sunset, and to Sunset's surprise, she gave her a hug. "I'm glad to see Adagio found someone to love, and out of all the people, I'm glad it was you." Aria said genuinely. Sunset returned the hug with a smile. "Thank you." After a few discussions, and many hugs from Sonata, Sunset decided it was time for her to leave. Adagio walked with her to the door. "Don't forget, tomorrow we get to tell everyone else about this," Adagio told her. "I know, and I hope they will react as well as those two did," Sunset said. "Well even if they don't, I will still love you." And with that, Adagio kissed her goodbye. The next day came and everyone came to meet at the Dazzling's house. They were confused on what could've come up since they were last there. Adagio and Sunset stood before them in the living room. "We wanted you all here because we want to tell you all something," Adagio announced. "What we want to tell you...is that Adagio and I are dating each other now," Sunset told everyone. Everyone, with the exception of Sonata and Aria, sat there completely stunned by what she said. After a few seconds, Pinkie bounced up in the air then ran up to give Sunset a hug. "CONGRATUALTIONS!! I'M SO HAPPY FOR YOU TWO!!" Pinkie said in the hug. Sunset laughed at Pinkie's excitement and hugged back. Pinkie then gave Adagio a hug, which Adagio hugged her back. "Congratulations darlings," Rarity told the two. "I always thought you two were good together," Applejack stated. After many congratulations and hugs, mostly from Pinkie and once again Sonata, Fluttershy walked over to Adagio. "I guess I wasn't the only one who needed to express their feelings." Adagio giggled at her and replied, "Yeah, I guess you wasn't." Eventually the excitement boiled down and everyone got ready to leave. With a few more congratulations and hugs they all left, with the exception of Sunset, who was spending the night again. That evening Aria went outside to the yard and sat down in one of the yard chairs. She was looking at the moon when she heard the door open to the house. "Ari, what are you doing?" Sonata asked her. "Just enjoying this winter evening," she replied. "Can I join you?" "Sure, why not," Aria replied. Sonata started to look for another seat, but Aria had scooted over to make room on hers. Sonata sat down beside her and looked up at the moon. After a few minutes Sonata cuddled up to Aria. "What are you doing?" "Your warm...and soft," Sonata replied. Aria simply rolled her eyes and continued to enjoy the night weather. "So, what do you think of Sunny and Dagi being together?" "I saw it coming, and if Adagio is happy with her, then it's fine," Aria said. "Ari...do you think I would have a chance of finding true love, like Adagio?" Sonata asked. Aria looked down at the blue siren. "What?" "Do you think I'll find someone who will truly love me? That they will love me even though I'm not that smart, or pretty?" Aria pulled Sonata close to her. "Of course you will Sonata. You are smart, and your very pretty. I'm sure there's plenty of people out there that would easily fall in love with you. And I hope you do find someone." "You do?" "Of course I do. I want you to be happy Sonata." Aria said genuinely. Sonata looked up to her and smiled. "Thank you Ari, your the bestest friend anyone could ever have." Aria smiled back down to her. She noticed how the moon reflected in her eyes. Aria had to admit to herself that Sonata was cute, adorably cute, and very pretty. She felt her heartbeat quicken as she looked Sonata in the eyes. She looked away as she felt a blush form on her face. Sonata hadn't noticed though, as she had snuggled back up to Aria. Time passed on and Aria had noticed that Sonata had fallen asleep. She picked up Sonata and carried her into the house. Thankfully Adagio and Sunset weren't downstairs, so Aria could make it to Sonata's room undisturbed. She carefully opened the door to the bedroom and turned on the light. She took off Sonata's winter jacket and boots and laid her in the bed. She tucked her in, turned off the light, and left the room. She got to her room, changed, and got in bed. She laid there and thought about what happened outside. She thought to herself about her discussion about love with the Sonata and how looking at her eyes and being that close had an effect of her. She couldn't have a crush on Sonata, could she?
