//------------------------------// // 11 // Story: Bite Sized Stories for Quick Reads // by Tunalock //------------------------------// Description: Fluttershy has been missing for at least a week, and the others get really worried. However, when a strange thing comes in the mail along with a beaten up tape, they learn the fate of their friend. Twilight was worried. She hadn’t seen nor heard from Fluttershy in over a week. Her house was locked, and none of Twilight’s magic would work on it. She and her friends were gathered in the library, trying to figure out the final words of Fluttershy: “There are ponies destroying this beautiful land. I must stop them.” The day after, Fluttershy went missing. The five ponies were all sitting around a wooden cross, Fluttershy’s picture magically placed on the front. Pinkie Pie’s hair had been deflated for the past week. Rarity couldn’t work on any of her dresses, no matter how hard she tried. Rainbow Dash and Applejack were failing at her jobs. Twilight’s pillow was covered in tears. Even Spike took this to heart, not eating a single gemstone and taking care of her animal, no matter how much they hated him. The solemn air was broken by a knock at the door. Twilight wiped the tears from her eyes as she opened it up. Derpy, the mail Pegasus, stood there with a box and an envelope. With her voice lined with a carefree attitude, she shouted, “Special delivery!” “Well, who’s it from?” Twilight asked in between sniffles. “Fluttershy.” the mailmare simply replied, then walked away. Twilight stood in amazement. Finally, after a week, Fluttershy had done something to contact them! She had Rainbow and Applejack help her bring in the box as she opened the envelope. There was no letter, but there was a circular object, scratched heavily, which read, ‘Eleven’. Wondering what eleven meant, Twilight turned back to the group of five, who had by then opened the large box. Inside was a big cube, but the front had a glass square, and below it a rectangle seemed to be cut out along with two buttons. Hitting the one with an upward facing triangle with a line underneath, she was surprised to see the rectangle extend out of the cube. Looking from the extended rectangle to the circular object and back, Twilight placed the latter into the rectangle and hit the button again, causing it to retract. “What is this thing?” asked Spike, and Twilight calmly replied, “I don’t know, Spike, but we’re going to find out.” She pressed the button and watched the screen flicker to life as a light blue colt with a brown mane and tail appeared. He stood in front of the group as he said, “To whoever may find this tape: I stumbled across this camera along with this:” He held up a circular object with two rectangles cut out. Two bars, an equal distance apart, were on the outer edges. “This video will show to you whatever I may find out of this contraption. My name is Diamond Pick. I live in Minequestria, a place off the Equestrian map where minerals are abundant, as well as scary creatures. These may be my last words.” He paused for a moment, then said, “Wait, somepony’s coming!” He picked up the camera and ran deeper into the cave, eventually coming to a little opening. He flicked the two bars around the circle and pressed on it, but nothing happened. Diamond suddenly dropped the camera, which bounced to face him. He was leaning against the wall, coughing hard from the running. Eventually, he picked it back up and walked to a little table of stone. He placed it down so it faced him as he put a book down, flipping through the pages. “Alright, let’s see what we’ve got here… aha!” He spun the bars so they were lined up with the two rectangles and pushed the center, causing the rectangles to glow a pure white. He held his breath as hoofsteps on stone sounded from down a second corridor. They got faster and faster, then they turned to hoofsteps on dirt. A rushing sound was heard as Diamond let out a yell, but was cut off as a slicing noise was heard and the camera fell to the ground. A pair of yellow hooves came into view, and the pony to who they belonged to picked up the camera. In a quiet, serene voice, the pony said, “Victim number eleven. Time of death was 3:08 in the morning. Cause of death was pickaxe embedded in the skull and brain.” The creature’s eyes opened, glowing the same as the circular contraption. “Number of ponies left destroying the beautiful land: 6,487,895. We’ve got a lot of work to do, Angel bunny…” The tape cut at that moment. Twilight’s eyes were filled with tears. Fluttershy had just killed not just one pony, but eleven. She was planning on killing over 6 million ponies because they were trying to survive in a distant land. Innocent, little Fluttershy… a murderer. Twilight knew she had good intentions, but it was the way she carried them out. Also, her eyes at the end of the video made Twilight think she was possessed with an evil spirit. Days passed, and each day, a new disc was sent to Twilight. Days turned into weeks, weeks into months, and months into years. Within the third year, Twilight found out what was causing her to kill the innocent ponies. An evil spirit known as Herobrine had taken her body and used it to kill as many miners as possible. There was no way to regain control of Fluttershy. She was forever to be a soulless monster. Meanwhile, in the Canterlot Gardens, a statue stood, frozen in fear of an unknown enemy. Nopony remembered how it got there, they just saw it appear one day. However, it was starting to crack. The life underneath the stone wanted to breath, and it was about to get its chance… Based off of the song “11” by C418.
