Part 5 Fall of Harmony

Leon woke up slowly to a loud blaring horn. He never had heard such a powerful and loud horn in his life. He came out of the forest and looked around. He saw Ponyville silently in the distance. Pony foals looked up from the field. He looked up, too. He saw a ball of light coming down from the sky with a smoke trail behind it. It softly fell to the center of Ponyville. Before any pony could even run, the entire world before him turned bright as the sun. His eyes burned as he screamed in agony. His skin burned from the intense light. Soon his skin, sizzled away from its muscles and he screamed out in horror. His eyes exploded and burned away, followed soon after by his own flesh. Ponies below were obliterated by the explosion. A roaring shock wave toward him. He screamed out his last blood curdling scream. Right before what was left of him was blown away by a seven hundred a mile winds.
Leon screamed awake from the pile of leaves he laid on the forest. He panted hard trying to catch his breath. "I-It was only a dream...." he assured himself.
Meanwhile, It was a calm morning in the meadows of Ponyville. A farm pony was out to check his wheat, when a glint in the distance caught his eye. He looked closer toward the mountains, that's when he saw it. A dark shadow moved over the land; the farmer stood looking in horror, dropping his sickle. A giant swarm of floating air ships blotted out the sun. The largest of them, had a giant sneering Sweetie Belle on its front. From the forest a massive army of robotic Sweetie Bots with glowing red eyes came marching into the clearing. Millions upon millions of Sweetie Bots marched out. The farmer ran for his life, but strike ships flew by over head. They descended upon Ponyville like vultures to a corpse. Ponies tried to flee under laser fire, but it was too late. The elements of harmony tried to fight back. However, they were quickly overwhelmed and captured. Ponyville within hours was reduced to ruins.
Sweetie Belle eyes stared wide eyed at the burning village. Her eyes filled with tears, "No....NO! NO NO NO! This is a mistake! I never wanted this!" She backed away scared, looking at all she had created. "I have to stop this! I have to put things right!" She ran to her control console and was about to push the kill switch to her army.
"Hold it right there!" A voice yelled at her.
She looked around scared, "Whose there?..."
She spotted a reflection of herself in the glass of her bridge window. The face reflecting back spoke, "You are really going to destroy all we built together?"
She came closer to the reflection, "What are you?"
"I am you," it smiled, "Your pain..... Your anger..... Your sadness.... This magic you have in you is a gift. This is a holy war my dear innocent Sweetie Belle. You are the messiah of it. You will end the day of flesh and dying. Bring a cure to the pain and misery of the sick and dying." It shifted to an astral projection next to her. "Together, we will purge them, and for the survivors.... Well I have plans for them. We have plans. Offer them the cure, those that refuse... Put them out of their misery. We will rebuild this world and you and I shall be gods..." It smiled evilly.
She cried softly and looked away, "I just want my mom and dad back...."
"Together," it held her close, "We will bring them back. Together, we shall build a world of perfection where no pony needs to die."
"I want that world..." Sweetie Belle replied, but noticed the being was gone. She turned to the window as a dark smile crept on her face.
The coming months saw Equestria fall into darkness. Most the ponies fled to caves and forests, while their cities were turned into giant factories and prisons. Nothing seemed to stop the Sweetie Bots. There were no pony left to lead the survivors and for now the could only watch the world they knew burn.

Leon was sitting by a small stream listening with his eyes closed. The calm sounds of flowing water and chirping birds helped him think. A vision soon came to him, it was hazy, but it soon materialized. He could now feel a light breeze. He felt the soft wheat as he walked through the fields. Before him, was a small stone and hay hut on the top of a hill surrounded by wheat fields. He walked closer, he reached for the poorly built door. He pushed it open with his fore hoof. Without a second thought, he entered what seemed a very poor peasants home. That's when he saw it, on the table laid a picture. He came closer to see a mare that looked identical to him. He now felt puzzled and confused and took a closer look.
That is when the vision ended and he open his eyes. He looked to his hoof, to his surprise, the picture was there. He nearly jumped out his skin, but managed to look around to see not a soul. It is then he spotted a black and white tail slither into a bush. He jumped after it and tackled a mare. But, his eyes widened when it was like looking in a mirror. Their sky blue bat eyes met, they just stared at each other, and not a word was said. They both just looked like deer caught in the head lights. He would get off her allowing her to stand up. He just kept staring with his mind flooding with questions. His hoof raised as she did the same, he move it to the side, and she did the same. He, suddenly, felt the need to put his hoof back up. She would do the same and with that, their hooves touched. A light formed in their hooves, their eyes turned into yin yang symbols, and the ground shook. They quickly pulled their hooves away.
"It has been so long," her voice was like a choir of angelic ponies, "Brother... I am your sister... I been looking for you..."
Leon's eyes nearly popped out from shock, "My sister?"
She took his hooves as light and darkness swirled around them, "Yes, I am Tera..." She softly spoke and held her hooves to him. "Let me show you," She smiled and gave out sighing tone. They both suddenly floated into the air. A swirling whirl pool of black and white energy formed around them. Both their eyes burst into a bright light. He could feel her, see her memories, and experience her feelings of joy. She felt him, tears filled her glowing eyes. So many years she searched and now she held him him in her hooves, again. They two floated to the ground as the bound had been rejoined. They felt each others emotions and heard each others thoughts.
"I have so many questions..." Leon broke their silence.
She held a hoof to his mouth, "I have many answers. But, we have time. So, let us speak."
Leon would take her back to his camp and next to his fire. "Who am I?" He began, "What are we?"
"If I knew my brother," she looked sad, "I would tell you. But, I spent the past three thousand years looking for that answer..."
"Three thousand years!" He gasped.
"Yes, we are immortal," she replied, "Though we can be killed, of course. Though, it is said we have to kill each other." She looked very sad and kept her gaze to the fire.
"Why you say that?" He asked again.
"Its a prophecy or some bull," she looked down more, "But, I would never do that even if the world could be destroyed. You are my only family. The only one who could understand me. I spent the past  one thousand years looking for you."
"How did we get these powers?" Leon asked looking very unsure what else to say.
"I don't know..." She sighed, "We were born this way.. But, we make our own destiny..."
Leon put his hooves around her as she smiled softly. "Who cares what a dusty old book said," he replied, "We are family, we will figure out we need to do. We are Orians and we are together now." She laid her head on his as she felt so warm.
"I've waited a longtime," she whispered, "Just to hear you say that. Now we should rest." Leon would nod agreeing and the pair would settle in for the night.
