Hello, Nightlings!
I write to you today on a very important matter. Due to recent events a small crisis has formed in the Crystal Empire. Some of you might have heard about it, others not. For those who know thank you for the constant support. For everyone else, I’ll try to recap the situation best I could…
As you know I attended the last Chosen reading along with my daughter (Princess Flurry “Jennifer” Heart). The experience had a lasting impact on my daughter… making her demand new and “better” stories. Sadly I’m not a good writer, and InItForTheShipping is a bit busy to manage to write as fast as “demanded”. Thus I have no choice, but to organize a Flurry contest.
Contest rules:
1. Nothing suggestive! Flurry is barely six!
2. The main character of the story must be Jennifer: a human girl that goes on adventures with younger Molly and “bucks corporate bottoms” (I’ve no idea where she got that from O :) )
3. There must be no “mushy” stuff. Just adventure and mischief.
4. No princesses! (Don’t look at me)
5. No longer than 7000 words (or approximate)All stories must be submitted and curated on the site by one week from now. Stories will be read to Princess Jennifer who will be the final arbiter.
Reward: Anything you want!

That sounds so cuute! I wish I could chip in for an additional reward, but as things stand now not sure I could.
I fully support this, though! Anything that the site can do it will. Also, this will be a great test for everypony, since you will (almost) be writing for the target audience. Well in terms of age, at least. :)

@LyraHands: Not only in terms of age. I blame myself and Salty. Flurry has become obsessed with MC to the point that she’s trying to walk on her read legs any chance she gets. And Thorax is no help! (I know you’re reading this! So don’t hide!) I’ve become so accustomed to see Molly or Megan at breakfast that if the real Molly comes to Equestria I’ll barely arch a brow.
As a side bonus, Salty and I will also have a separate “parents” reward which will mark our personal choice.

Awww! I’ll do my best to complete a story for this. It’s beyond cute, and I think I should get some practice for the time I’ll need to follow suit. (If the fortunetellers are to be believed I’ll to have four foals: three fillies and a colt at some point. CEO found the prediction amusing.)
A fic centered around a little tomboyish princess who isn’t a princess? This will be so precious :) @RRBB: Will you have a go? It’s been a while since you’ve written anything.

@RRBB: yeah! Will you eve complete the Danny Saga? I know you’re a great editor, but you’re a pretty good writer as well! And I still reread that every now and again. It reminds me of the old days (when were are four mares gathering in coffee shops).
@Brush: I’m so curious to see what you’ll write now that you’re fully calm and relaxed after your honeymoon :)

@LyraHands: No time soon. Maybe one day… I don’t know. What do you think of having Princess Jennifer become the site’s mascot? Paint is great at fluffy, and we need a cute mascot.

@SaltyHuman: Err, boss, I know you said I was absolutely forbidden to participate, but when you said “absolutely” how flexible were you exactly? Like double critical success? Not that I want to brag, but I have been taking writing lessons and have improved quite a bit.

Oligosaccharide, I love you and adore you… but please don’t write. It will be like the Revenge of Raven Boy all over again. I got hiccups from laughing at that… I’m sorry to say this, but… you’re just a terrible writer.

Edit: great… my fat sister saw this and now is squeeing behind me. :/ No longer sure if I’ll write a story or it will be a “combined effort”.

Damn! Just when I was thinking of writing a troll fic this comes up. Now I have to change my entire thought process… or maybe not.
There is no rule about troll fics, right? As long as they are safe I can write one, right?

Nice! :) I’ll enjoy curating this. Also, I’ll be particular tough (as I suspect Grace will be).
Just a warning: make sure your fics have good grammar and spelling. Since this is Flurry you’ll be writing for, you can at least make it easy for her parents. Remember the story will be read, so reading it out loud is a good idea.
Also, Salty didn’t specify, but I strongly recommend you to keep to one fic. Make it your best instead of burying me with attempts.
