//------------------------------// // The Moon in the Night // Story: KONO DIO DA: DIO is Unbreakable // by DIO Brando //------------------------------// "What is this?" DIO asked, taking a look at what was presumably a strawberry cupcake. "It's a cupcake!" Pinkie said with a smile. The cupcake was pink, with red splotches in it. The icing was crimson red. "You expect me to eat this cupcake?" DIO asked with a frown. "Come on, DIO! Surely you can handle a cupcake!" Rainbow Dash said, "Or are you a wimp?" DIO growled. "I'm not a wimp! KONO DIO DA!" DIO took the cupcake, taking a monstrous bite out of it. He paused for a moment, Pinkie smiled with a squee "Do you like it?" Pinkie asked. "Yes, this taste is fantastic!" DIO exclaimed, taking another bite, "Like the blood of a young woman!" "What." Rainbow looked at Pinkie. "What kind of cupcake is it?" "It's just a different flavor!" Pinkie smiled. "You can help me cook sometime, and I can show you how I make cupcakes!" Rainbow Dash thought about Sergeant Sprinkles for just a second. "No thanks. . ." she muttered, "Actually, it's about 6 AM and that shield over DIO seems to be going down, so we should probably get home before it does until the sun goes down, right DIO?" she looked at DIO mouthing ' S A Y Y E S '. DIO cleared his throat. "Yes, that's right." "But your shield doesn't go off until the sun goes down! That's how the spell works, silly!" Pinkie laughed. DIO looked at Rainbow Dash for a split second. "ZA WARUDO." DIO said suddenly, vanishing with Rainbow Dash. "Alright, if DIO is okay with it," Fluttershy said, opening her wings and getting ready to take off towards her home. "Bye DIO!" "Sayunara, Fluttershy," DIO said, waving. Rainbow Dash sat in her chair, looking over at DIO. "So," Rainbow said, "wanna watch some TV?" After watching TV, getting drunk, and having a good ole tim— No. Stop thinking that. After having a friendly and not in anyway sexual because that makes no mother-fucking sense time, Rainbow Dash had fallen asleep. DIO, deciding to feel the feeling of rest once more, decided to sleep as well. It had been a long time since he had had a dream. Most of his 100 year sleep, if not all of it, was pitch black in his memory. But this wouldn't be the same. He found himself in a desolate plane, without power. It was cold, he was covered in only thin clothing like in the childhood under his thievish father. In fact, he wasn't even in possession of Jonathan's body either, he was like his childish self, at age thirteen. "Hey!" He called out, in a semi imposing British voice. It cracked as it echoed, he hugged himself to keep warm. A bright light appeared to one side, revealing his Stand but wearing the stone mask instead of it's original face. The blood leaked around it as it also possessed his long, flowing hair after attaining vampirism. "Dio Brando! Dio Brando! Dio Brando! Take the dark and make your mark!" It shouted towards him in the voice of his father. DIO was seething with rage despite how silly the rhyme sounded, attempting to scream but couldn't as the Stand approached him. He turned, seeing another bright light that looked like his mother. "Mio Dio! Mio Dio! Mio Dio! Enshrine the light and shine it bright!" It exclaimed, the two both chanting as DIO was met with the troubling thought of the depictions of his parents. This was stupid, but what the Hell was it supposed to mean? The path he had once taken was evil, like his father. He didn't want to be like that loathsome scum, but he knew his mother was wrong, that she would never understand the world from her perspective. Though he loved her enough to feel her death was merciful on behalf of fate, he couldn't say the same for his father, yet he followed more in his father's footsteps. Perhaps this was why he didn't sleep. Suddenly, the two reached out, both shouting, "Make a choice! Make a choice!" The young DIO felt tears streaming from his eyes as he screamed loudly, taking hold of both hands as he felt himself being lacerated down the middle being pulled from both sides. It was more painful that the sword Jonathan used to split him in half, except he wasn't able to recover this time. He was powerless. Until it all stopped. He closed his eyes, wiping away the tears as he felt his hand was rough rather than smooth like it used to be. He saw that he was in his usual attire, gritting his teeth at such an embarrassment. He looked up to see a large alicorn before him, eyes glowing. "Who are you, then?" He asked, knowing he'd never seen her before. The equine looked him dead in the eye. "Princess Luna." "Kira, shouldn't you get rid of that hoof?" Lyra asked, fixing some more human food for Kira. Kira glanced over. "Possibly. . ." it faded away as he got up, "I'll need another soon." "You stand out more than the equines do," Lyra pointed out, "that's obvious, but something to note, you can't hide as easy as you used to be able to." Kira nodded, thinking for a moment. "How far is the extent of your magic?" Kira asked. "What do you mean?" "Perhaps I can become an equine as well." Lyra lowered her ears. "But, your hands!" "Ah, yes, I forgot," Kira said, thinking again. After a moment, he had an idea. "Perhaps I can switch back and forth based on convenience? Perhaps by my choice?" "I don't think my magic can go that far. . ." Lyra thought, "but I think I can look into it." "Good," Kira smiled, "go search for that, and thank you for the food, I'll look after myself, and perhaps with this spell you might not have to go through so much trouble." Lyra nodded, walking up to him as he sat in the chair. "Hey, Kira?" Lyra said quietly. "Yes?" She gently pecked his cheek, to which he wasn't sure how to respond other than with a surprised expression. "Thank you." She whispered with a blush, trotting out. Kira wiped his cheek gently. ' I just need to use her, that's all, like. . .like Shinobu. . . ' He reasoned, unsure of the odd feeling.
