Sighing deeply Luna continues to say “Nopony except me Celestia and Cadance knew that Celestia was pregnant with your mother. Celestia knowing your mother would be in danger took a year long vacation to give birth to Emerald. When your mother was born Celestia knew she would be in danger if she stayed with her. Celestia not being able to take the risk used all her magic at the time to change your mother from an alicorn to a pegasus and gave her to a close family friend.”
Luna started to tear up because of the pain. Celestia seeing how upset Luna is says, “I’ll take over sis.”
Celestia looks at Rose and Twilight and says, “Once your mother was old enough I sent her an invite to my school. She was so excited to be there. On the day she graduated I called her to the throne room and explained her heritage. At first she was furious, but after I told her about her father and why I had given her to family friends she understood the danger she was in,” Celestia paused as the memory came to her.
A few seconds later Celestia continues, “Fifteen years later you were born. When your mother first brought you before me I could feel the strongest alicorn magic I had ever felt coming from you. So to protect you I sealed it away so that when you earned your cutie mark the seal would break and you would change to match your soul. Over the years I watched you for three reasons. The first was to protect you. The second was to ensure you lead a truly happy life and thirdly was because I knew you were going to fall in love with Twilight. My husband foresaw you falling in love with each other.”
Luna having regained her composure asks,“Is there anything else you would like to know?”
Rose turns to twilight and says,“Twilight can you give us a minute alone?”
Twilight was nervous to leave Rose alone with the two princesses but got up and left the throne room.
Once Twilight was gone and Rose could no longer hear Twilight’s thoughts she turns to Celestia and Luna and says,“Firstly know that I believe everything you have said. Secondly you should know that I heard my father say he was the leader of the organization you mentioned. Thirdly I want you to be the first to know that come the night of the Grand Galloping Gala in two month’s time I will propose to Twilight to ask her to marry me. Fourthly I want you to know that even though you hurt my feelings I still trust you. Finally I want to come out of hiding as your granddaughter. I know it will put me in danger. But what nopony knows is that when I found out my father worked for some secret organization he taught me to fight and I was really good. I was even better than him and he was the leader. That is why he kept a knife on his dresser. He was afraid that I would turn on him. So what do you say to having a coronation for my mom and I to become part of the royal family?”
Celestia was stunned to hear the news that Rose’s father was the leader of the group that killed her husband. After a couple minutes she says,“I agree it is time for you and your mother to become my family once more and if the organization comes after you I will destroy them all. By the way your grandpa wanted you to have this. It is an engagement ring with an ancient and unbreakable spell of protection on it. There are two one for you and one for Twilight. Your grandpa knew you wouldn’t want to hide your heritage so he created these.”
Luna then says,“Also Rose you and your mother’s coronation is set for a week after you cast your gender changing spell you created. There is no need to worry. My brother knew you would succeed thus making you ascend to alicorn hood.”
“Thank you both for everything. Also could you please refrain from telling Twilight about my proposal at the Gala? Please pinkie promise me that?”
Celestia and Luna smiled as they went through the motions of the pinkie promise while saying,“Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye.”
Once they finished Rose gave each of them a hug before they teleported away. As Rose exited the throne room Twilight came over and gives Rose a kiss that seemed to make time cease to exist.
