Starswirl the Bearded and Clover the Clever appeared in what seemed to be the Everfree Forest. The Everfree Forest was a dark, spooky wilderness with few inhabitants. The Zebra tribe, however, once lived there, but ever since ponies started moving farther south and into Ponyville and surrounding cities, most of them had moved out. Only few remained.
Walking through this treacherous land was tricky. Starswirl and Clover knew that they would have to be very aware of their surroundings. The underbrush seemed to have a mind of its own and was always covering the main paths, and glowing eyes watched their every move. All of these ghostly features of the forest gave them more adrenaline than they had while in Canterlot. Eventually, they found themselves in a clearing. At first, all they saw was fog. But when the clouds cleared, they immediately recognized the place they were in; The Castle of the Two Sisters. Of course, since they were back in their own time period, the palace was abandoned, yet intact.
"We are in our own time. Follow me. We must get to safety," said Starswirl
They trotted across the long, narrow, wooden bridge to the castle and rushed past the entrance. Once they were safely inside, Starswirl used his magic to close the gates.
"Starswirl! You promised to tell me exactly how you knew about the Princesses and that Creature!" Demanded Clover.
"Ok, ok, I'll tell you," he replied. "Come, let's sit. It's going to be a long story."
