Triple Date Night pt 2

Later in Luna’s room

“Mmmm who dares awake me?” Luna groaned out as she was awoken from her slumber.

“Just me.” Anon said from Luna’s bedside.

“Ah good to see you’ve decided to come join me.” Luna said a smile forming on her lips at the prospect of Anon joining her.

“As much as I’d like to I’m not here for that reason.” Anon responded running a hand through Luna’s mane.

“Then why are you here?”

“I’m here to tell you we are taking part in a triple date tonight.” Anon said causing Luna’s eyebrow to rise as she sat up slightly.

“Oh, so I see you’re taking the reins in this relationship.” Luna said with a chuckle. “What’s to say that I am going to attend this date.”

“Because this is Celestia’s date.” Anon responded causing Luna’s eyes to widen.

“She’s going on a date?! With whom?” Luna said nearly jumping out of her bed.

“Chrysalis. If Cadance is successful in helping Celestia confess her feelings that is.” Anon explained getting a slow nod from Luna. “Cadance and Shining would be a part of the date as well as us to help support her.”

“Hmm I see.” Luna said as she slowly began to get out of her bed. “I’m to guess that Celestia is with Cadence.”

“Probably.”

“And where would Shining be? Actually, better question does he know about this date?”

“I honestly don’t know.” Anon responded before seeing Luna make her way towards her bathroom.

“Well maybe you should seek him out and tell him about this date.” Luna said as Anon followed her.

“Well I can’t really go doing that.” Anon said as Luna stepped into her shower.

“And why not?” She asked as her magic turned the taps allowing water to flow out of the shower’s head.

“Because if Celestia fails to confess her feelings to Chrysalis, or Chrysalis rejects her the date may be off.”

“Hmm fair point.” Luna said as her hair was encased in a white light. When the light faded Luna’s, short blue hair stood in place of her regal nebula hair. “Tell me Anon, is Alpha currently with my sister and Cadence?”

“He is.” Anon replied before catching onto what Luna was suggesting. “You aren’t suggesting that we spy on your sister. Are you?”

“Maybe.” Luna said with a smirk as she shut off the shower.

“Alright then.” Anon said before his right eye began glowing a cyan blue. ‘Yo Alpha where are you?’

“Gardens. Currently in a bush with Cadance.” Alpha responded.

‘Got it. Think you could start recording for me?’ Anon thought as Luna began to dry herself off.

“Let me guess Luna wants to see how her sister goes with asking Chrysalis out?”

‘Yep.’ Anon responded.

“Got it.”

“Well?” Luna spoke up causing Anon to jump slightly. “We getting a show?”

“Yeah we are.” Anon said as the duo left the bathroom. “Just gimme a sec.” Anon said as Luna took a seat on her bed.

“Ready for video relay.” Alpha’s voice said within Anon’s mind.

‘Good to hear.’ Anon thought before causing a screen to appear in front of Luna’s bed. After a few seconds, an image of what seemed to be a wall of leaves appeared on the screen.

“So, this is what Alpha’s seeing right now?” Luna asked as Anon took a seat next to her.

“Yep it is.” Anon responded. “Now watch this.” Anon said as Alpha’s vision turned slightly showing Cadance crouching down next to him.

Canterlot Gardens

“Hello there Cadance.” The voice of Anon said through Alpha’s mouth.

“Anon?” Cadance asked jumping at the unexpected voice. After a few seconds of looking around her she looked back at Alpha. “Let me guess you’re here to see how Celestia does?”

“Luna’s here as well.” Anon said as Cadance calmed herself down.

“Really? Anyone else watching the show?” Cadence asked.

“Nope. Just me and Luna.” Anon responded before Alpha peeked out of the bush slightly.

“Careful!” Cadance hissed out. “We don’t want Chrysalis seeing Alpha.”

“Cadance, don’t worry.” Anon said as Cadance’s horn glowed slightly before making the leaves blocking their vision see through. “Let me guess one-way vision?”

“Yep.” Cadance said as Alpha floated back to her side. “Hey question, can Alpha still see all this?”

“Yes, I can.” The voice of Alpha said. “Anon and Luna aren’t the only people watching the show.”

“Got it.”

“So, what’s happened so far?” Anon asked.

“Not much. They’ve just been having tea.” Cadance said gesturing to the small tea table that Chrysalis and Celestia were sitting at a few meters away from the bush.

“Gimme a second.” Anon said before Alpha’s eye began to glow brightly. “There we go. We should be able to hear what they’re saying.” Anon’s voice said when Alpha’s eye stopped glowing.

“So, then Celestia you still have to tell me why you’ve brought me out here.” Chrysalis said after taking a sip of her tea.

“What? Am I not allowed to invite a new friend to both myself and Equestria for a bit of tea.” Celestia replied a warm smile on her lips.

“I suppose that’s a good enough reason.” Chrysalis said before levitating a biscuit into her mouth. “Although I suspect there is more to this little tea party than meets the eye.”

“Well you suspect correctly.” Celestia said as she put her tea cup down. “There is something I wish to ask of you Chrysalis.”

“Oh?” Chrysalis said her curiosity rising.

“Would you like to go to dinner with me?” Celestia said quietly.

“Sorry what was that?” Chrysalis said not hearing Celestia.

“I said…” Celestia started before clearing her throat. “Would you like to go to dinner with me?”

“Sorry could you repeat that?” Chrysalis asked.

“Would you like to go to dinner with me?” Celestia said once more her tone firmer.

“And where would we be going?” Chrysalis asked getting Celestia to freeze.

“Well…” Celestia started before having her words catch in her throat.

“Uh oh.” Cadance said from her place next to Alpha. “What do we do?”

“Gimme a sec.” Anon responded before sending some instructions to Alpha.

“Tell her you wish to go to the Griffon’s Buffet.” Alpha’s voice said ringing throughout Celestia’s mind.

‘Alpha? Why do you say that?’ Celestia thought.

“Because we don’t want you to ruin your chances with Chrysalis.”

‘What do you mean by ‘we’?’ Celestia thought before realizing what he meant. ‘I thought I told Anon to stop spying on me.’

“Luna forced his hand. Besides they don’t want to see you fall short.” Alpha responded.

‘Good to hear then.’ Celestia thought putting on a smile. ‘Tell them I said thanks.’

“Got it.” Alpha said before leaving Celestia’s mind.

‘Done?’ Anon thought before getting confirmation from Alpha. “Don’t worry Cadance, she’ll be fine.” Anon said getting a nod from Cadance causing her to look back to the picnic table.

“Well?” Chrysalis asked.

“Ah yes. Sorry about that had a little memory lapse. How does the Griffon’s Buffet sound?” Celestia said a confident smile on her face.

“Sounds like a plan. I’ve been meaning to give that place a visit.” Chrysalis said causing Celestia to raise an eyebrow.

“And why would that be? If you don’t mind me asking.”

“Well it’s one of the few places that I know of in Canterlot that sells meat on the menu.” Chrysalis said getting a nod from Celestia. “You don’t mind if your dinner partner has a taste for meat, do you?”

“Of course not.” Celestia said before realizing what Chrysalis had said. “Wait. Dinner partner? Does that mean?”

“That I will be joining you for dinner? It does.” Chrysalis said before standing up from her seat. “Now then if you’ll excuse me I shall go get ready for tonight. It is tonight correct?”

“Um yes, it is.” Celestia said before rising from her own seat.

“Good to hear.” Chrysalis said before walking away from the picnic table past the bush Cadance and Alpha were hiding in. “Y’know a bit of advice Cadance.” Chrysalis said stopping in front of the bush. “If you’re going to spy on a Changeling, you best get a spell that hides your emotional signature.” Chrysalis said before continuing her way out of the gardens a smirk on her face.

“Well then that went extremely well.” Cadance said working her way out of the bush after recovering from the shock of Chrysalis finding her hiding spot.

“I couldn’t say it better myself.” Anon said as Alpha floated out of the bush.

“I’d put that as an understatement.” Celestia said a wide smile on her face as she walked over to the duo. “Thank you for the help Cadance!” Celestia said scooping up Cadance into a hug. “And you too Alpha.” She said before changing her hug target to Alpha.

“No problem Celestia.” Alpha said.

“And thank you Anon. I’ll get to giving you a hug later.” Celestia said as she let go of Alpha.

“Got it.” Anon said before getting Alpha to face Cadance. “Cadance a question comes to mind.”

“And what would that be Anon?” Cadence responded.

“Does Shining know about the date tonight?” Anon asked getting Cadance to freeze in place.

“Ummmm.” Cadance said. “I didn’t tell him because I didn’t know whether Chrysalis would say yes.

“Alright then.” Anon said. “Another question do you want me to go tell him?”

“Yes, she does.” Celestia said stopping Cadance’s response. “It’ll allow her to help me get ready for tonight.” She continued before dragging Cadance off to help her get ready.

‘Alpha I’m dropping connection now.’ Anon thought.

“Got it boss.” Alpha said before the connection was cut.

Luna’s Bedroom

“So, then that was fun.” Luna said the screen that her and Anon had been witnessing everything on, fading away into nothing.

“I guess so.” Anon responded as he got off the bed. “Now then as much as I’d hate to leave you I got to go let Shining know about tonight.”

“But who will protect me whilst you are gone?” Luna said her tone one of false worry.

“I trust Captain Moonlight’s abilities.” Anon said before looking to a spot on the room’s ceiling. “Enjoy the show Captain?”

At this a shadow dropped from the ceiling. Upon landing the shadow had righted itself into the form of a thestral mare. “It is not my place to say sir.” Moonlight said.

“Good to see that my guard still know how to mask themselves in the shadows.” Luna said having been aware of Moonlight’s presence ever since she awoke. “And please do give your opinion about the show.”

“If you wish for my opinion then I shall give it Lady Noctis.” Moonlight said giving a small bow. “I see this as quite a compassionate act. It really shows how much you care for Mother Sol.”

“Good to hear Captain.” Anon said as he headed towards the bedroom’s exit. However, he stopped short when a knocking could be heard from the other side of the door.

“I guess I shall be off.” Moonlight said before disappearing back into the shadows of the ceiling.

“Yes?” Anon said as he opened the door to find Chrysalis. “Ah good day Queen Chrysalis.” Anon said giving a bow.

“Yes, it has been quite a good day so far. Tell me Paladin is Princess Luna in there?” Chrysalis asked her question being answered when Luna’s magic took ahold of the door opening to reveal her next to Anon.

“I am here Chrysalis. Is there something you wished to discuss with me?” Luna asked before gesturing for Chrysalis to enter the room.

“Well if you two have something too discuss I shall be off Princess Luna.” Anon said giving a bow to Luna.

“Alright then Paladin. I shall see you later.” She replied before Anon disappeared in a flash of light.

“Shouldn’t a bodyguard stay with the pony he is meant to protect?” Chrysalis asked looking to Luna.

“He’s more than a mere bodyguard Chrysalis.” Luna said a faint smile on her lips. “Besides I don’t need him to protect me. Unless you’ve come here giving me a reason to call him back.” Luna said her tone turning cold.

“Well you do not have to worry about anything like that.” Chrysalis said before finding a seat on a nearby chair. “I am merely here to ask you for permission to court your sister.”

At this Luna froze. Out of all the things to come out of Chrysalis’ mouth her asking permission to court Celestia was not one of them. “Alright.” Luna said calming herself. “And why would need to seek permission to date Celestia? Especially from me.”

“Well to my knowledge it is an Equestrian tradition for a stallion to seek the permissions of a mare’s father when dating her. And the same concept applies to royalty. And seeing as how you and Celestia’s father is no longer with us, as her blood relative I have come to seek permission from you instead.” Chrysalis explained getting a nod from Luna.

“Guard!” Luna called out towards her bedroom door. A few seconds later a thestral mare stuck her head in through the door.

“Yes, Lady Noctis?” She said entering the room to give Luna a bow.

“Fetch my guest and I some coffee.” She said before turning to Chrysalis. “How do you take it?”

“Black thank you.” She said getting a nod from Luna.

“A good idea. I shall have the same.” She said looking to the mare as she gave a bow before leaving.

Crystal Palace

“WHAT IN TARTARUS!” A voice yelled out as Anon teleported outside of the Crystal Palace’s throne room.

‘Urgh my head.’ Anon thought as he gathered his bearings from the long range teleport.

“Identify yourself!” A voice yelled out.

“Paladin Anon.” Anon responded his vision still blurry.

“Sorry buddy that ain’t good enough for me.” The voice responded.

“That’s enough Captain!” A familiar voice called out. “All of you are to return to your positions!”

“Yes sir!” The unknown voice responded.

“Sorry about that Paladin.” The voice of Shining Armor said as Anon’s vision cleared showing the former Captain of the Royal Guard standing in front of him.

“No problem Prince Armor.” Anon said with a bow.

“Captain if you don’t mind coming here for a second.” Shining said waving over an Earth Pony Stallion in Crystal Guard armor. “Paladin Anon, I would like to introduce you to Captain Bright Lance.”

“A pleasure.” Anon said giving a salute.

“Same.” Bright Lance said giving his own salute.

“Captain I must say something that I wish for you to tell the rest of the guard. If you don’t mind?” Shining said getting Bright’s attention.

“Of course, I don’t mind sir.” Bright replied.

“Good. Paladin Anon here is to be treated like me. If you wish to know why then keep this in mind. He has almost the same authority as the Princesses and myself.” Shining said getting Bright’s expression to turn to one of surprise.

“In that case.” Bright said before turning to Anon. “My deepest apologies for being prepared to take your life.”

“Don’t be sorry you were simply doing your duty.” Anon said to Bright getting him to release a sigh of relief. “Prince Shining you don’t mind if I have a word with you in private?”

“Of course not. If you’ll follow me.” Shining said before leading Anon down a corridor. “If I may ask Anon are you okay? You seemed to be a tad bit dazed when I intervened with the guards.”

“Guess I’m just not used to the Crystal Heart’s energies.” Anon explained. “Teleporting through the Heart’s barrier seems to have given me a slight headache.”

“Well as long as you aren’t hurt in anyway.” Shining said with a smile as the duo arrived outside a crystal door with a plaque on it reading, ‘Office of Prince Armor’. “I think we should be able to talk in private here.”

“Good to hear.” Anon said as he walked into the room followed by Shining.

“So, what did you wish to talk to me about?” Shining asked.

“Tonight, Celestia will be attending a date with Queen Chrysalis.” Anon said getting Shining to give a nod.

“Sorry to say this Anon but what does this have to do with me? I’m not the Captain of the Royal Guard anymore.” Shining said getting a nod from Anon.

“A fair point. But this does involve you, as Cadance, has thought that this date should be turned into a triple date so Cadance and Luna can give support to Celestia.” Anon explained.

“And that would mean we would be a part of this date.” Shining said connecting the dots.

“Yes, we would. I’ve come here to inform you about tonight but also to take you to Canterlot for tonight.”

“Sounds like fun.” Shining said before moving to the room’s door. “Well then I best get ready. Cadance is gonna kill me for what I’m going to do next.”

“And what would that be?” Anon asked.

“Simple I’m going to be picking out my own suit.” Shining said getting a chuckle from Anon.

Canterlot

“I must apologize for cancelling our lesson for tonight Trixie.” Luna said as Trixie stood next to Luna, having been summoned to her room to find the Lunar Princess preparing herself for the night ahead.

“It’s no problem Luna.” Trixie said as she admired how Luna styled her mane never before seeing it outside of its nebula form. “Um can I ask you a question?”

“Of course, Trixie.” Luna said as she put the brush she was running through her mane onto her dresser.

“Um why does your mane look natural?” Trixie asked. “Doesn’t it usually look like a nebula?”

“Well this is how my mane looks naturally. My sister and I use a few spells to change how our manes look.” Luna explained.

“And if you don’t mind me asking why do you do that?” Trixie asked getting Luna to pause her actions.

“Well a thousand years ago our subjects saw this as a sign of leadership. I would’ve thought that my sister would’ve stooped styling her mane like this, as she always wanted our subjects to know that we aren’t gods that need worship. And showing our natural manes would be a way to show that we are mortal.” Luna explained getting Trixie to give a slow nod as she processed what had just been said.

“Wait so you and Celestia aren’t goddesses?” Trixie asked getting a nod from Luna.

“No, we aren’t. My sister and I can be killed, it’s just that we cannot age and over the time of our long lives we have acquired powers that makes us seem like goddesses. The same applies to Cadance, as she won’t age.” Luna explained.

“Whoa.” Trixie said as she took in this newfound knowledge.

“Quite a lot to take in all at, once isn’t it?” Luna asked getting a nod from Trixie.

“Well if I may ask when will our next lesson be? We haven’t really set much of a schedule.”

“How does tomorrow night sound?” Luna asked prompting Trixie to raise a fore-hoof to her chin in contemplation.

“I should be good.” Trixie said after a few moments.

“Good to hear. The time for the lesson will be 6pm. And where it will be held will be the gardens. Understood?”

“Sure, thing Princess.” Trixie said as she made her way towards the door. As she reached the door a knocking could be heard from the other side.

“Come in!” Luna called out prompting Trixie to move out of the way of the door.

When the door swung open fully Anon stepped through the door. “Evening Trixie.” Anon said to Trixie before his view shifted to Luna. “Luna.”

“I suppose it is time to go?” Luna asked getting a nod from Anon. “Alright then.” Luna said before applying a bit of lipstick to her lips. “Have a good night Trixie.” Luna said as she made her way past the mare.

“Got it. Have fun you two.” Trixie said as she made her way out of Luna’s room.

“Well then. We good to go?” Luna asked before having her vision filled with a blue light.

“Don’t worry just had to save us the effort of walking through half the castle.” Anon said with a smile.

“Good to see we didn’t have to wait all night for you two.” The voice of Chrysalis said from behind the duo.

“A pleasure to see you as well Chrysalis.” Luna said turning to see the Changeling Queen wearing a plain black dress. “A nice dress you have there Chrysalis. It suits you.”

“I could say the same for you too.” Chrysalis said taking in Luna’s blue dress with patches of stars scattered around the dress.

“Celestia waiting for us in the carriage?” Anon asked Chrysalis getting a shake of her head in response.

“No she isn’t. Shouldn’t your little pet know where she is?” Chrysalis asked.

“No. Alpha’s currently with Cadance and Shining at the restraunt.” Anon explained before hearing the sound of a pony approaching the small group.

“I do hope I haven’t kept you three waiting too long.” The voice of Celestia spoke up from behind the group.

“Of course, not sister. Anon and I have only just arrived.” Luna said turning to take in the current state of her sister. “Good to see you decided not to wear anything too fancy.” Luna continued after taking in Celestia’s simple white dress.

“Well Cadance advised that I don’t wear anything too fancy.” Celestia said to Luna before directing her attention to Anon and Chrysalis. “What do you two think?”

“It looks nice.” Anon said with a smile getting a nod from Celestia.

“It looks great.” Chrysalis said before turning to the carriage that was going to take them too the restraunt. “Now then shall we be making our way?”

“A good idea Chrysalis, it is getting a tad chilly.” Luna said as her and Anon made their way towards the carriage.

“Mare’s first.” Anon said holding the door to the carriage open for the mares.

“Thank you, Paladin.” Celestia said as she made her way into the carriage followed by Chrysalis and Luna.

“I must ask Celestia, why do we have to take a carriage? Couldn’t we just teleport?” Chrysalis asked when Anon took his seat in the carriage next to Luna.

“Because I would’ve thought you’d like to enjoy a carriage ride through Canterlot.” Celestia said before letting out a sigh. “But if you do wish us to merely teleport to our destination then that can be arranged.” Celestia said as her horn began to emit a faint yellow light.

“You don’t have to do that Celestia, I’d actually like a ride through Canterlot.” Chrysalis said before wrapping a hoof around one of Celestia’s hooves. “It could be fun.” Chrysalis continued with a smile.

The Griffon’s Buffet

“Where are they? They were meant to be here ten minutes ago.” Cadance said before looking to a clock that was hanging on a nearby wall.

“I’m sure they have a good reason.” Shining said as he took a sip from his wine glass.

“But what if they don’t?” Cadance said before looking too the only other ponies sitting at a table in the restraunt. “Maybe we should ask Moonlight if her and Silver could go looking for them.”

“Believe me Princess Cadance, if anything were to happen to them they’d be in the safe and capable hands of Paladin Anon.” Moonlight called out from her seat across from Silver Slash at their own separate table.

“I must ask how’s your little date going Moonlight?” Shining said before turning to face the Captain. “Glad that Princess Luna could give you and Silver a chance to dine together.” Shining continued causing Silver’s face to take on a blush as he looked too Moonlight, wondering what she would say.

“It’s going well. Although part of me wishes the chef would allow us to have our main course instead of waiting for our other guests.” Moonlight said before turning back to face Silver. “What do you think Silver?”

“Well I don’t really have many complaints other than the lack of a main course. But I suppose it gives me time to appreciate your choice in picking me to accompany you on this mission.” Silver said before taking a sip of his wine.

At that visions ran through Moonlight’s mind of how Luna had approached her to speak of security for the night’s event. How Luna had found Moonlight discussing guard rotations with Sucker Punch. Moonlight also remembered how Sucker Punch had volunteered to be a part of the mission if it involved Celestia’s protection. Luckily for Moonlight Luna had said that his assistance wouldn’t be required. Moonlight then remembered how Luna had said that she could bring a fellow guard to assist her.

“Good to hear Silver.” Moonlight responded before taking a sip of her own wine.

“But what if something happened that Anon couldn’t handle?” Cadance said prompting Shining to grab a hold of Cadance’s hooves.

“Cadie, calm down. This is Anon we’re talking about not even Sombra could stop him.” Shining said calming his wife for a short moment.

“But you saw what state he was in after the fight.” Cadance said flashes of how the Crystal Empire’s doctors had to operate on Anon. “What if that’s happened to him again?”

“Cadance calm down.” The voice of Alpha rang out in her mind. “You’re worrying too much.”

“Then calm me down by telling me where they are.” Cadance said turning to the face Alpha.

“Look to the door.” Alpha said causing Cadance to look towards the restraint’s entrance.

When she turned her head, she saw Anon holding the door open for Luna and Celestia. At the sight of Celestia, Cadance felt a sense of pride fill her up as she saw that Celestia had taken her advice for what to wear for the night. However, the prideful smile Cadance wore faded away when she saw Chrysalis walk into the restaurant

“Hope we didn’t keep you two waiting too long.” Anon said as he helped Luna into her seat.

“Not really. It’s only been like what ten minutes. Right Cadance?” Shining said as Anon took his seat next to him.

“Yes, that’s right.” Cadance said before turning to face Celestia who sat next to her. “Although I must ask where have you four been?”

“Well, Celestia recommended we take a carriage ride through Canterlot. We didn’t realize what time it was.” Chrysalis said from Celestia’s right.

“Yes, I do apologize if you two were worried as to where we were.” Celestia said getting a smile from Cadence.

“It’s no problem at all Auntie. But with you being a tad late Shiny and I have already had appetizers.” Cadence said.

“Yeah. And Griff said he’d start work on mains for us. If you want I could go ask him if your four mains could come out as well.” Shining said getting a nod from Luna.

“Sounds like a plan Prince Armor.” Luna said prompting Shining to get out of his chair.

“So how were the appetizers?” Chrysalis asked Cadence.

“They were fine. Although I must ask why do you care?” Cadance responded a layer of venom coating her question.

“What do you mean by that Cadance?” Chrysalis asked an eyebrow raised.

“Don’t you just eat emotions as a food source? But that prompts the question what’re you going to be having for the main course?” Cadance answered giving Chrysalis a death stare.

“Cadance, I must ask what you mean by that last statement?” Celestia asked fixing Cadance with a look of curiosity and aggression.

“Well what I mean Auntie, is who is Chrysalis going to be taking emotions from as her dinner?” Cadance said before looking back to Chrysalis. “Well? Who at this table is going to be your next food source?”

“Cadance!” Celestia exclaimed with shock at what Cadance had just said. “How could you say that?”

“Celestia, calm down.” Chrysalis said as she took ahold of one of Celestia’s hooves. “Cadance and I can settle our differences as adults.” Chrysalis stated as she looked to Cadance. “Shining doesn’t remember anything, does he?”

“No, he doesn’t.” Cadance responded. “Seeing as how you kept him under a mind alteration spell he doesn’t remember anything whilst you were impersonating me.”

“Good to hear.” Chrysalis said with a smile as she poured herself a bottle of wine from the wine glass that had been sitting on the table. “Now then Cadance, you asked as to who’s emotions I would be eating for dinner, well I’ll tell you. It will be no one. Unless somebody gives me the go ahead to dine on their emotions then I shall only be dining on what Griff has prepared for us.” Chrysalis then paused for a moment to take a sip of wine. “Now then that settle the tension between us. At least for tonight?”

“Fine.” Cadance said before taking a long sip of her own wine. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have acted like that.” Cadance said looking to everyone else at the table. “Sorry if I’ve dampened the mood.”

“Tis no problem Niece.” Luna said offering Cadance a small smile. “Given what you’ve gone through your distaste for Chrysalis is completely normal.”

“Luna’s right Cadance.” Anon said before noticing Shining coming to the table with the group’s meals floating behind him. “Now then how about we put the water under the bridge and enjoy dinner.”

“Sounds like a plan Anon.” Celestia said a smile on her face at the prospect of the conversation’s subject changing.

“Well here’s dinner.” Shining said as he handed the dinner plates out. “Anything happen while I was gone?”

“No dear. We were just talking.” Cadance said offering Shining a warm smile.

Later that night outside of Canterlot Castle

“Well that was fun.” Shining said as he helped Cadance out of the carriage that had taken the group back to the castle. “We should do that again sometime.”

“Perhaps Prince Armor. But maybe for a later date.” Luna said as her and Anon got off the carriage.

“A good idea Luna. Maybe we could do this a couple of weeks from now.” Celestia said her head slightly a buzz from her decision to drink more than her fair share of wine.

“Hush now Celestia, you’re going and making plans when you should be asleep.” Chrysalis said from Celestia’s side. “If you want I’ll help you back to your own room.”

“That’d be nice.” Celestia said as she draped a wing over Chrysalis’ back. “Onwards!”

“Well we’ll see you guys tomorrow.” Shining said as he and Cadance made their way towards the castle.

“Yeah we’ll see you at breakfast.” Cadance said as she gave a wave to Luna and Anon.

“Well that was an interesting start to dinner.” Anon said getting Luna to give a nod.

“Yes, it was. Hopefully Cadance and Chrysalis will come to peace with each other.” Luna said before looking over her shoulder to see Moonlight and Silver gliding down to the ground. “Well now if it isn’t the happy couple.” Luna whispered to Anon who gave a chuckle in response.

“Good evening Lady Noctis.” Moonlight said giving a salute when her and Silver were close enough.

“Aye it is Captain.” Luna responded. “At ease, you two.”

“Have a fun night?” Anon asked.

“It was enjoyable.” Moonlight said with a smile before looking to Silver. “I’m just glad I chose such a good partner for the assignment.”

“Good to hear.” Luna said giving a smile. “Now then you two can have the rest of the night off. But before you leave you aren’t to tell anyone what you heard my niece discussing with Chrysalis. Is that understood?”

“Yes ma’am.” Moonlight and Silver said in unison before taking their leave.

“Well then now that’s done with we should probably hit the hay.” Anon said before turning to Luna. “Would the Princess wish an escort back to her room?”

“If you insist then how could I refuse?” Luna said before the duo made their way towards the castle. “I wonder if Tia’s gotten back to her room safe?” Luna mused to herself.

Outside of Celestia’s room

“Well here’s your room.” Chrysalis said as she and Celestia stood outside of the alicorn’s room. “Well then hope you have a good night.” Chrysalis said before looking around the hallway to see a concerning lack of guards. “Um where are your guards?”

“Oh, the Lunar Guard haven’t arrived yet. So, we’ll be all alone for the next few minutes.” Celestia said with a sly grin on her face.

“Yes, well if you want I’ll stay with you until the guard arrive.” Chrysalis said before following Celestia into her room.

“So how was the night for you Chrysie? Enjoy dinner?” Celestia said as she began to take her dress off.

“It was good. It’s been a while since I’ve had a good physical meal.” Chrysalis said as she took notice of the sound of the guards arriving outside of Celestia’s room. “That sounds like the guards I better be off.” Chrysalis said as she made her way to the door.

“What not even going to give me a goodbye kiss?” Celestia said before wrapping Chrysalis in a telekinetic field and hovering her to the bed.

“Celestia is this really necessary?” Chrysalis said as Celestia set her down next to her on the bed.

“Yes, it is.” Celestia said the slight smell of wine on her breath.

“Fine then.” Chrysalis said before finding herself pulled into a kiss by Celestia’s magic.

“Well how was that?” Celestia said when the kiss ended. “Eep.” Celestia squeaked as Chrysalis returned the kiss with a passion. After a few minutes, the duo ended the kiss to catch their breath. “I’m guessing that you want to stay the night?”

“If you don’t mind.” Chrysalis said.

“Of course, you can my little love bug.” Celestia said as she gave Chrysalis a kiss on the cheek. “But I must ask what changed your attitude?”

“Probably the kiss.” Chrysalis said before tackling Celestia to the bed. “That and I may be feeding off your excess love and lust and that may be having an effect on my actions.”

“Okay then.” Celestia said before igniting her horn. “Just give me a second to put a few charms on the room so we don’t disturb the guards.” Celestia said with a sly grin. .
