For the first time since being reborn, I was truly terrified. I was face to face with the most powerful being in all of Equestria, whose body I controlled for some time, and I had no chaos magic to use. I had no idea what he might do to Nightshade and I, so I did the only thing I could do.
"I am so, so sorry!", I pleaded, "I didn't mean to take over your body! Please don't turn me or my sister into your puppets for all eternity!"
Discord merely stared at me for a few moments before he burst out laughing so hard that body fell apart into pieces.
"Wait, what's going on here? Why is he laughing?", Nightshade asked.
"I honestly have no idea.", I said as Discord started to calm down.
"You, my dear, are absolutely hilarious!", said Discord as he started to put himself back together.
"What do you mean be that?", I asked.
"Do you really think that I'm angry at you?", Discord asked as he finished reassembling himself.
"So... , you're not angry at me?", I asked.
"Of course not, my dear.", Discord said as he slithered next to me, "I don't hold you accountable for being forced into my body. You were just as much a victim of the situation as I was."
"Well, that's a load of my chest." I said as I let loose a sigh of relief.
"Yes and for your troubles, I want to give you a little something." Discord said.
He then proceeded to open his chest like a hatch and rumble around inside of it for a few seconds before pulling out some of his own chaos magic.
"You're giving me some of your chaos magic?", I asked as Discord closed the hatch on his chest.
"Indeed I am.", said Discord as he let go of the magic.
The magic then zoomed straight toward and slammed into my chest. I could feel the familiar power as it flowed through my body.
"Thank you." , I said.
"Uh, guys? You should come take a look at this.", Nightshade said.
I turned around and saw what she was talking. There were two ponies that were regaining consciousness in front of us. One of them was Nightmare Moon, but the other one was Princess Luna.
"Well, shit just got complicated.", I said.
"Wha... where am I? What's going on?", Luna asked as she looked around until she laid her eyes on Nightmare, "You!"
"Oh, hello, Lulu.", Nightmare said as she started to get up, "It's so nice to see you after all these years."
"Silence, demon!", Luna yelled as she got ready to fight, "I will destroy you once and for all."
"You can try.", said Nightmare as she also got ready to fight.
They both stared at one other for a few moments before charging towards each other and engaging in a cartoon-style dust cloud fight. It lasted for a few moments before Discord appeared between them and broke the fight up by grabbed them both by the scruffs of their necks.
"Now, now, there's no need for unnecessary violence.", Discord said, "Well, not right this moment."
"Discord?!", Luna said shockingly, "How are you here? You were sealed away forever!"
"Actually, he's Discord from the future.", I said as I walked over to them, "Also, you two can't kill each other."
"Why not?", Nightmare and Luna asked at the same time.
"Well, it's mostly because of this.", I said as my magic reveal an ethereal chain linking Nightmare and Luna together.
"See that?", I asked as the chain disappeared from view and Discord set them both on the ground, "That chain links the both of you together, so if one of you dies, the other dies as well, and just in case you're wondering, it can't be destroyed."
"Well, this is just perfect.", Luna said sarcastically, "I'm still trapped on the moon and I can't destroy the one pony who ruined my life!"
"Ruined?!", Nightmare said, "I was trying to help you!"
""Wait, what?!", Luna yelled.
"Yeah, I agree with Luna.", I said, "What are you talking about?"
"I was trying to help Luna gain the love and respect of her citizens, but when they wouldn't love her and Celestia wouldn't help help her, I decided to take matters into my own hooves."
"By trying to plunge Equestria into eternal night?!", Luna yelled.
"Which would end up killing everyone and everything on the planet?", I said with a raised eyebrow.
"Oh.", Nightmare said sheepishly, "Maybe I should have thought things through."
"You think?!", Luna yelled.
"Hey, don't take that tone with me.", Nightmare said, "I was trying to do something nice for you, but do I any thanks? No, I don't. The only thing I get is fear and hatred and being treated like an unloved monster!"
Nightmare then burst into tears, her emotion mask breaking into pieces. I just couldn't help but feel bad for her
However, before I could reach her, Discord slithered next to her and began comforting her. Meanwhile, Luna was looking away with an ashamed look on her face. After a few minutes, Nightmare looked like she had finally calmed down.
"So, do you feel better now?", Discord asked.
"Yes, I feel much better now.", Nightmare said.
"Well, I'm glad you are.", said Luna as she walked over to them, "Also, I'm sorry for being angry with you."
"That's okay.", Nightmare said, "You had every right to be angry with me."
"So, can we start over?", Luna asked.
"Sure, why not?", Nightmare said as she and Luna hugged each other.
"Excuse me, can I say something quickly?", I asked as I made my way over to them, " I hate to break up this touching moment, but I believe I have an offer that can benefit all of us?"
"What kind of offer?", Nightmare asked as she and Luna stopped embracing.
"Well, what would you say to having your own empire on the moon?", I said.
"Are... are you serious?, Luna asked in disbelief.
"I shit you not.", I said with a smug look on my face.
"You'd really create an empire for us on the moon?", Nightmare asked.
"Wait a minute.", said Luna, "What's the catch."
"Oh, nothing major.", I said, " All I ask is that Nightmare agree to never again try to takeover Equestria."
"As long as I can at least defeat Celestia in battle when I am able to leave this place, I accept your deal.", Nightmare said as she held out her hoof.
"So long as you don't kill her.", I said as I shook her hoof.
"Hang on a minute.", said Nightshade, "Who would even live in the empire anyway?"
"I'm glad you asked, sis.", I said, "Not long ago, I learned that there is a hidden community of bat-ponies who still believe in Luna's existence. All we have to do is relocate them here."
"And how exactly will we get them to agree to come here?", Nightshade asked.
"We'll cross that bridge when we come to it.", I said before turning to Discord, "Now then, shall we get started?"
"Certainly.", said Discord.
The two of us focused our magic and after a few moments, the ground began to shake. Suddenly, walls burst out of the ground, shortly follow by buildings, some taller than others. The walls were dark blue with silver outlining them. The buildings themselves were silver in color. At on part of the wall, there was a massive gate with the moon engraved on it. Finally, a massive, silver castle, complete with walls and gardens, rose in one part of the city.
"Welcome to the Lunar Empire.", I said as the gates opened, "Come along, everyone. We have work to do."
